1Comprehensive strategy of conduit guidance combined with VEGF producing Schwann cells accelerates peripheral nerve repair显示文摘Peripheral nerve regeneration requires stepwise and well-organized establishment of microenvironment.Since local delivery of VEGF-A in peripheral nerve repair is expected to promote angiogenesis in the microenvironment and Schwann cells(SCs)play critical role in nerve repair,combination of VEGF and Schwann cells may lead to efficient peripheral nerve regeneration.VEGF-A overexpressing Schwann cells were established and loaded into the inner wall of hydroxyethyl cellulose/soy protein isolate/polyaniline sponge(HSPS)conduits.When HSPS is mechanically distorted,it still has high durability of strain strength,thus,can accommodate unexpected strain of nerve tissues in motion.A 10 mm nerve defect rat model was used to test the repair performance of the HSPS-SC(VEGF)conduits,meanwhile the HSPS,HSPS-SC,HSPS-VEGF conduits and autografts were worked as controls.The immunofluorescent co-staining of GFP/VEGF-A,Ki67 and MBP showed that the VEGF-A overexpressing Schwann cells could promote the proliferation,migration and differentiation of Schwann cells as the VEGF-A was secreted from the VEGF-A overexpressing Schwann cells.The nerve repair performance of the multifunctional and flexible conduits was examined though rat behavioristics,electrophysiology,nerve innervation to gastrocnemius muscle(GM),toluidine blue(TB)staining,transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and NF200/S100 double staining in the regenerated nerve.The results displayed that the effects on the repair of peripheral nerves in HSPS-SC(VEGF)group was the best among the conduits groups and closed to autografts.HSPS-SC(VEGF)group exhibited notably increased CD31+endothelial cells and activation of VEGFR2/ERK signaling pathway in the regenerated nerve tissues,which probably contributed to the improved nerve regeneration.Altogether,the comprehensive strategy including VEGF overexpressing Schwann cells-mediated and HSPS conduit-guided peripheral nerve repair provides a new avenue for nerve tissue engineering.Ping Wu Zan Tong Lihua Luo Yanan Zhao Feixiang Chen Yinping Li Céline Huselstein Qifa Ye Qingsong Ye Yun Chen 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:4
2Tall gastrodis tuber combined with antiepileptic drugs repairs abnormal perfusion foci in focal epilepsy显示文摘One hundred patients with focal epilepsy were recruited for the present study and their seizures controlled with antiepileptic drugs. The patients then orally received a capsule of tall gastrodis tuber powder, a traditional Chinese drug, and underwent single photon emission computed tomography, long-term electroencephalogram, and CT/MRI. Blood drug levels were monitored throughout the study. Before treatment with tall gastrodis tuber, 35 of the 100 cases had abnormal CT/MRI scans; 79 cases had abnormal single photon emission computed tomography images; 86 cases had abnormal electroencephalogram; and a total of 146 abnormal perfusion foci were observed across the 100 subjects. After treatment, the number of patients with normal single photon emission computed tomography images increased by 12; normal electroencephalogram was observed in an additional 27 cases and the number of patients with epileptiform discharge decreased by 29 (34% of 86); the total number of abnormal perfusion foci decreased by 52 (36%) and changes in abnormal foci were visible in 65 patients. These changes indicate that the administration of tall gastrodis tuber in combination with antiepileptic drugs repairs abnormal perfusion foci in patients with focal epilepsy. 10Corrosion and tribocorrosion resistance of MAO-based composite coating on AZ31 magnesium alloy显示文摘In this paper, a multi-functional composite coating with low friction coefficient, high wear resistance and excellent tribocorrosion resistance is fabricated on AZ31 Mg alloys by micro-arc oxidation and spray-coating methods. The microstructure, and composition of the coating are characterized by SEM, EDS, XRD, and FT-IR. Potentiodynamic polarization and EIS tests are conducted to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the composite coating. The tribocorrosion property is also studied using pin-on-disk tribometer in 3.5 wt.% Na Cl solution. It is found that the composite coating possesses better long-term corrosion resistance than the single MAO coating. 12Effect of Ti Incorporation on the Microstructure and Properties of the a-C:H Films Deposited by Magnetron Sputtering Technique显示文摘Amorphous hydrogenated carbon(a-C:H)and Ti-incorporated a-C:H(Ti/a-C:H)films were deposited by magnetron sputtering with a mixture gas of CH4 and Ar.The effect of the Ti incorporation on the chemical composition,microstructure and properties of the as-deposited and the annealed films were investigated by various techniques.It has been shown that the bonding structure and the internal stress were sensitive to the incorporation of the Ti atoms.The results of the XPS revealed that the concentration of Ti atom on the surface of the film increased when the Ti/a-C:H film annealed at 300oC.The tribologcial properties of the(Ti/)a-C:H films changed greatly after annealed,due to the graphitization,oxidation of carbon,and so forth.It compared and discussed in detail the change of the microstructure and properties of the a-C:H and Ti/a-C:H films before and afterWang Yongxia Ye Yinping Li Hongxuan Ji Li Wang Yongjun Wu Yanxia Liu Xiaohong Chen Jianmin Zhou Huidi 2012稀有金属材料与工程2012,41,S1:0
