1Influence of Mg and Ti on the microstructure and electrochemical performance of aluminum alloy sacrificial anodes显示文摘The experiments focused on the influence of magnesium and titanium as additional alloying elements on the microstructure and electro-chemical behavior of Al-Zn-In sacrificial anodes. The electrochemical behavior of the aluminum sacrificial anode with 3 wt.% sodium chloride solution was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) tests. It was found that a microstructure with few precipitates and refined grains could be achieved by adding 1 wt.% Mg and 0.05 wt.% Ti to the Al-Zn-In alloy,resulting in the improved current capacity and efficiency of the alloy. The equivalent circuit based on the EIS experimental data revealed less corrosion and lower adsorbed corrosion production on the surface of the aluminum alloy with a combination of 1 wt.% Mg and 0.05 wt.% Ti,which suggested that the corrosion behavior seemed to be strongly related to the presence of precipitate particles in the aluminum alloy,and moderate amounts of precipitate particles could be beneficial to the electrochemical performance of the aluminum alloy sacrificial anode.Ma Jingling Wen Jiuba Li Xudong Zhao Shengli Yan Yanfu 2009Rare Metals2009,28,2:9
2The biogeochemical behavior of dissolved aluminum in the southern Yellow Sea:Influence of the spring phytoplankton bloom显示文摘Many recent studies have investigated the nutrient-type profiles of dissolved aluminum(Al) in the ocean.Significant scavenging of dissolved Al can occur during phytoplankton blooms,but the mechanism remains unclear.The distribution of dissolved Al in the southern Yellow Sea(SYS) was investigated in winter and spring 2009.Following measurements at grid stations during the spring sampling cruise,two drifting anchor surveys of more than 100 h were conducted to trace the variation of dissolved Al concentration during the spring phytoplankton bloom(SPB).The concentration of dissolved Al in the SYS decreased from 40 nmol/L in February to 30 nmol/L in March and 10-20 nmol/L in April,while the concentration of Chl a increased from < 2 μg/L in March to > 4 μg/L in April.The concentration of dissolved Al in the SYS decreased significantly with the development of the phytoplankton bloom,which indicated biological scavenging of dissolved Al from water column.The proportion of dissolved Al scavenged from water column by different phytoplankton species differed at the two drifting stations,with greater removal efficiency demonstrated by diatoms than dinoflagellates.Phytoplankton samples collected from the Chl a maximum layer were washed with trace metal clean reagent(oxalate-EDTA-citrate,abbreviate as oxalate solution,Tovar-Sanchez et al.,2003) to enable the surface-scavenged(extracellular) and intracellular Al pools associated with phytoplankton to be differentiated.Thirty-nine to ninetysix percent of the total Al was found to be existed in the interior pools,which indicated that biological absorption was the important way to scavenge dissolved Al during phytoplankton blooms in the SYS.LI FaMing REN JingLing YAN Li LIU SuMei LIU ChengGang ZHOU Feng ZHANG Jing 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,2:4
3Distribution of Dissolved Inorganic Arsenic and Its Seasonal Variations in the Coastal Area of the East China Sea显示文摘Water samples were collected in the coastal area of the Changjiang Estuary on four cruises from August 2002 to May 2003. The seasonal variations of dissolved inorganic arsenic (DIAs) distributions were analyzed. The results showed that the distributions of DIAs were mainly influenced by the terrestrial input and the intrusion of the Kuroshio Subsurface Water (KSSW). The concentration of the total dissolved inorganic arsenic (TDIAs) decreased consecutively from winter to summer, while it increased in autumn. The distributions of TDIAs showed some relationships with salinity and suspended particulate matter (SPM). The relationships between DIAs speciation (including arsenite [As(Ⅲ)] and arsenate [As(Ⅴ)]), biological activity and the availabilities of the phosphate were investigated in the study area for the cruise August 2002. The ratio of As (Ⅲ)/TDIAs increased with the decrease of phosphate concentrations. In the bottom water, the As(Ⅲ)/TDIAs ratio decreased with the increasing of N/P. The concentration of TDIAs decreased 28.7% approximately after the occurrence of harmful algal blooms (HAB) because of the uptake of arsenate by algae. 11Highly Soluble Phenylethynyl-terminated Imide Oligomers and Thermosetting Polyimides Based on 2,2′3,3′-Biphenyltetracarboxylic Dianhydride显示文摘The properties of a series of imide oligomers were characterized according to their molecular weights, solubility, and thermal and rheological properties. This series of imide oligomers was synthesized via a two-step method using 2,2′,3,3′-biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride(3,3′-BPDA) and aromatic diamines as the monomers, and 4-phenylethynyl phtlialic anhydride(PEPA) as the end-capping agent. The imide oligomers based on 3,3′-BPDA showed excellent solubility in low boiling point solvents and low melt viscosity, which were attributed to their unique bent architectures. High-performance thermosetting polyimides were produced from these oligomers via thermal crosslinking of the phenylethynyl groups. The mechanical and thermal properties of the thermosets were studied using tensile testing, dynamic mechanical thermal analysis(DMTA), and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). The 3,3′EPDA-based thermosets exhibited excellent thermal properties, with glass transition temperatures of up to 455℃, and 5% mass loss temperatures of up to 569℃ in air. 12Neuritin affects the activity of neuralized-like 1 by promoting degradation and weakening its affinity for substrate显示文摘Neuritin plays a key role in neural development and regeneration by promoting neurite outgrowth and synapse maturation.Our previous research revealed the mechanism by which neuritin inhibits Notch signaling through interaction with neuralized-like 1(Neurl1)to promote neurite growth.However,how neuritin regulates Notch signaling through Neurl1 has not been elucidated.Here,we first confirm that neuritin is an upstream regulator of Neurl1 and inhibits Notch signaling through Neurl1.Neurl1 is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that can promote ubiquitination and endocytosis of the Notch1 ligand Jagged1.Therefore,we observe the effect of neuritin on the ligase activity of Neurl1.The results indicate that neuritin inhibits Neurl1 activity by reducing the ubiquitination level and endocytosis of the target protein Jagged1.Moreover,we find that decreased activity of Neurl1 results in reduced expression of Notch receptor Notch intracellular domain(NICD)and downstream target gene hairy and enhancer of split-1(HES1).Furthermore,we investigate how neuritin affects Neurl1 enzyme activity.The results show that neuritin not only weakens the affinity between Neurl1 and Jagged1 but also promotes the degradation of Neurl1 by the 26S proteasome pathway.Taken together,our results suggest that neuritin negatively regulates Notch signaling by inhibiting the activity of Neurl1,promoting the degradation of Neurl1 and weakening the affinity of Neurl1 for Jagged1.Our study clarifies the molecular mechanisms of neuritin in regulating the Notch signaling pathway and provides new clues about how neuritin mediates neural regeneration and plasticity.Jingling Zhu Yu Li Chen Zhong Meiyi Zhu Yan Zheng Anying Xiong Pingping Meng Liya Shan Yang Li Jin Huang 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,10:0
13Nervous function and manifestations of mental psychology in patients with post-stroke depression of different syndrome types of traditional Chinese medicine显示文摘BACKGROUND: Poly-criteria pathogenesis of patients with stroke causes diversity of syndrome types of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM); meanwhile, complexity and diversity of pathological mechanism also play a key role in determining severity so as to induce effects on nervous function and manifestation of mental psychology in patients with post-stroke depression (PSD). OBJECTIVE: To analyze the syndrome types of TCM with nervous function and manifestations of mental psychology in PSD patients so as to provide evidence for the treatment based on the syndrome differentiation. DESIGN: Contrast observation. SETTING: Departments of Neurology and Traditional Chinese Medicine, General Hospital of Fuxin Mining Industry Group. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 469 outpatients or inpatients with stroke were selected from the Department of Neurology, General Hospital of Fuxin Mining Industry Group from April 2002 to July 2005. All subjects met the diagnostic criteria of stroke established by the Fourth National Cerebrovascular Disease Academic Meeting in 1995 and were finally diagnosed with CT and MRI. Totally, 177 PSD patients were involved in the final analysis and provided the confirmed consent. There were 121 males and 56 females aged from 46 to 79 years. METHODS: ① All the enrolled subjects were diagnosed for syndrome differentiation by senior TCM physicians within 1 week before discharge based on Diagnostics of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was classified into 5 types, including sputum-stasis stagnation syndrome, qi stagnation and blood stasis, kidney-essence deficiency, deficiency of the spleen and stomach and phlegm-fire disturbing the heart. In addition, they were also assessed by neurologic deficit scale (NDS; 45 points in total; the higher the scores were, the severer the deficit was), Fugl-Meyer assessment, (FMA; 100 points in total, including 66 points of upper limbs and 34 points of lower limbs; the higher the scores were, the stronger the motor function was), modified Barthel index [BI; 100 points in total; the higher the scores were, the better the activity of daily life (ADL) was], symptom checklist-90 (SCL-90; including total scores, positive scores, mean and average scores of positive items), Hamilton depression rating scale (HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety rating scale (HAMA, the higher the scores were, the severer the degree was). ② Patients were divided into one symptom type, two symptom types and ≥ 3 symptom types; meanwhile, they were also divided into deficiency symptom, excess symptom and deficiency-excess symptom. Scores among various groups were compared simultaneously. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Comparison of nervous function and mental psychology of PSD patients with various symptoms. RESULTS: ① Differences of various symptoms: Among 177 patients, there were 43 subjects in the types of sputum-stasis stagnation, 64 in qi stagnation and blood stasis, 21 in kidney-essence deficiency, 33 in deficiency of the spleen and stomach, and 16 in phlegm-fire disturbing the heart. In the comparison of the scores of nervous function and psychological tests among different syndrome types, the scores of most motor functions of upper and lower limbs, total scores of FMA and ADL in PSD patients of sputum-stasis stagnation, qi stagnation and blood stasis, kidney-essence deficiency were obviously lower than those of the total samples and PSD patients of deficiency of the spleen and stomach and phlegm-fire disturbing the heart, whereas the total scores of NDS, HAMD, HAMA, SCL-90 and SCL-90 positive items, average number of SCL-90 positive items and average score of SCL-90 positive items in the former three groups were allobviously higher than those in the latter three groups (P < 0.05–0.01). ② Different number of syndrome types: In the comparison of the scores of nervous function and psychological tests among the PSD patients with different number of syndrome types, the scores of most motor functions of upper and lower limbs, total scores of FMA and ADL in PSD patients with one or two syndrome types were obviously higher than those of the total samples and the PSD patients with three or more syndrome types, whereas the total scores of NDS, HAMD, HAMA, SCL-90 and SCL-90 positive items, average number of SCL-90 positive items and average score of SCL-90 positive items were all obviously lower in the former two than in the latter two (P < 0.05–0.01). ③ There were no obvious differences in the scores of most items of nervous function and psychological tests among the PSD patients of deficiency syndrome, excess syndrome and the deficiency-excess syndrome (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: The damages of nervous function and mental psychology are more serious in PSD patients with the syndrome types of sputum-stasis stagnation, qi stagnation and blood stasis, kidney-essence deficiency, as well as those with several (three or more) syndrome types, and the conditions may be improved by the treatment based on TCM syndrome differentiation.Yan Dong Bo Yang Jingling Song Lihua Yu 2007Neural Regeneration Research2007,2,2:0
