In situ optical backpropagation training of diffractive optical neural networks显示文摘Training an artificial neural network with backpropagation algorithms to perform advanced machine learning tasks requires an extensive computational process. This paper proposes to implement the backpropagation algorithm optically for in situ training of both linear and nonlinear diffractive optical neural networlks, which enables the acceleration of training speed and improvement in energy efficiency on core computing modules. We demonstrate that the gradient of a loss function with respect to the weights of diffractive layers can be accurately calculated by measuring the forward and backward propagated optical fields based on light reciprocity and phase conjunction principles. The diffractive modulation weights are updated by programming a high-speed spatial light modulator to minimize the error between prediction and target output and perform inference tasks at the speed of light. We numerically validate the effectiveness of our approach on simulated networks for various applications. The proposed in situ optical learning architecture achieves accuracy comparable to in silico training with an electronic computer on the tasks of object dlassification and matrix-vector multiplication, which further allows the diffractive optical neural network to adapt to system imperfections. Also, the self-adaptive property of our approach facilitates the novel application of the network for all-optical imaging through scattering media. The proposed approach paves the way for robust implementation of large-scale difractive neural networks to perform distinctive tasks all-optically. | TIANKUANG ZHOU LU FANG TAO YAN JIAMIN WU YIPENG LI JINGTAO FAN HUAQIANG WU XING LIN QIONGHAI DA | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,6: | 11
Experimental study on vibration suppression of gear shaft misalignment with ISFD显示文摘Misalignment faults in gear systems lead to violent vibration and noise, shortening the life of equipment. The aim of this work is the demonstration of vibration suppression of parallel-misaligned gear shafts using an integral squeeze film damper(ISFD). Using a first grade spur gear in engineering for reference, an open first-grade spur gear system is built and the vibration characteristics of the gear system with rigid supports and ISFD elastic damping supports are studied under different degrees of misalignment. The experimental results show that ISFD supports have excellent damping and vibration attenuation characteristics, which have improved control of the gear system vibration in horizontal, vertical and axial directions under different degrees of misalignment. This work shows that an ISFD structure can effectively suppress vibration of characteristic frequency components and resonance modulation frequency components. The test results provide evidence for the application of ISFD in vibration control of gear shaft misalignment faults in engineering. | 路凯华 He Lidong Zhang Yipeng Chen Zhao Yan Wei | 2019 | High Technology Letters2019,25,1: | 8
A new method of frequency-dependent network equivalence for power system显示文摘Electromagnetic transient simulation for large-scale power system is a time-consuming problem.A new frequency-dependent equivalence method is presented in the paper, which might significantly accelerate power system electromagnetic transient simulation. In the method,an effective algorithm is designed to directly transfer the port admittance determinant of external system's mixing matrix into admittance rational function;and the step-by-step strategy for the equivalence of actual large system is put forward, which further reduces the calculation quantities needed. Moreover, the study of multiple real root pole characteristics of admittance transfer function of two-port network is performed and a proposition is achieved.Based on the proposition and residue theorem, the equivalence system for external system corresponding to the admittance rational function is obtained. The computation complexity of the step-by-step equivalence method is about o(┌n/np×T┐)(┌┐ is upper integral operation,n is the total buses number of external system,N P is the total buses number of single step equivalence network,T is single step equivalence time),which indicates that the computation complexity of the method proposed has nearly linear relationship with the buses number of external system, and the method proposed has satisfactory computation speed.Since the mixing matrix of external system includes all the information of external system, therefore, port admittance rational function derived from it can reflect its full frequency characteristic and the equivalence network achieved has high equivalence precision. Moreover, since the port rational function is gained at the condition of the external system without source, which equals stable passive network,it could not show any unstable pole and need not extra measure to make the equivalence system stable. The test results of the samples and comparison with other methods demonstrate that the new method proposed is valid and effective. | LIN JiKeng YAN YiPeng PU TianJiao LUO ShanShan LIU Tao ZHENG WeiHong WANG XuDong | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,7: | 3
Novel Cathelicidins with Potent Antimicrobial,Biofilm Inhibitory, and Anti-inflammatory Activities from the Frog Fejervarya multistriata显示文摘Antimicrobial peptides(AMPs),a class of gene-encoded peptides, are the first line of immune system to defense microbial invasions in multicellular organisms.Cathelicidins are an important family of AMPs that have been identified exclusively in vertebrates. However,up to now, cathelicidins from amphibians are poorly understood. In the present study,we reported the identification and characterization of two novel cathelicidins(FM-CATH1 and FMCATH2) from the frog Fejervarya multistriata. The c DNA sequences encoding FM-CATHs were successfully cloned from the constructed lung c DNA library of F.multistriata.Both of the c DNA sequences encoding FM-CATHs are 447 bp in length, and the deduced mature peptides of FM-CATHs are composed of 34 residues.Structural analysis indicated that FM-CATH1 and FM-CATH2 mainly assume amphipathic alpha-helical conformations.Antimicrobial and bacterial killing kinetic analysis indicated that both FM-CATH1 and FM-CATH2 possess potent,broad-spectrum and rapid antimicrobial potency. And cytoplasmic membrane permeabilization analysis indicated that FM-CATH1 and FMCATH2 kill bacteria by inducing the permeabilization of bacterial membrane.Besides direct antimicrobial activities,FM-CATHs also exhibited significant inhibitory effect on the formation of bacterial biofilms at low concentrations below 1×MIC.Furthermore,FM-CATH1 and FM-CATH2 exhibited potent anti-inflammatory activities by inhibiting LPS-induced transcription and production of pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6 in mouse peritoneal macrophages.Meanwhile,FM-CATHs showed relatively low cytotoxic activity against mammalian normal and tumor cell lines, and low hemolytic activity against human erythrocytes. In summary, the identification of FM-CATHs provides novel clues for our understanding of the roles of cathelicidins in amphibian immune systems. The potent antimicrobial, biofilm inhibitory,anti-inflammatory activities, and low cytotoxicity of FM-CATHs imply their great potential in novel antibiotics development. | Aili WANG Yan CHEN Haining YU Yipeng WANG | 2017 | Asian Herpetological Research2017,18,3: | 2
Effect of carboxylic acid groups on the supercapacitive performance of functional carbon frameworks derived from bacterial cellulose显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D) carbonaceous materials derived from bacterial cellulose(BC) has been introduced as electrode for supercapacitors in recent. Here, we report a simple strategy for the synthesis of functional carbon frameworks through 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpilperidine 1-oxyl radical(TEMPO)-mediated oxidation of bacterial cellulose(BC) followed by carbonization. TEMPO-mediated oxidation can efficiently convert the hydroxyls on the surface of BC to carboxylate groups to improve electrochemical activity. Because of its high porosity, good hydrophilicity, rich oxygen groups, and continuous ion transport in-between sheet-like porous network, the TEMPO-oxidized BC delivers a much higher gravimetric capacitance(137.3 F/g) at low annealing temperature of 500℃ than that of pyrolysis BC(31 F/g) at the same annealing temperature. The pyrolysis modified BC obtained at 900℃ shows specific capacitance(160.2 F/g), large current stability and long-term stability(84.2% of its initial capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles). | Tianyun Zhang Junwei Lang Li Liu Lingyang Liu Hongxia Li Yipeng Gu Xingbin Yan Xin Ding | 2017 | Chinese Chemical Letters2017,28,12: | 2

Cucumber glossy fruit 1 (CsGLF1) encodes the zinc finger protein 6 that regulates fruit glossiness by enhancing cuticular wax biosynthesis显示文摘Cucumber glossiness is an important visual quality trait that affects consumer choice.Accumulating evidence suggests that glossy trait is associated with cuticular wax accumulation. However, the molecular genetic mechanism controlling cucumber glossiness remains largely unknown. Here,we report the map-based cloning and functional characterization of CsGLF1,a locus that determines the glossy trait in cucumber.CsGLF1 encodes a homolog of the Cys_(2)His_(2)-like fold group(C2H2)-type zinc finger protein 6(ZFP6)and its deletion leads to glossier pericarp and decreased cuticular wax accumulation.Consistently, transcriptomic analysis demonstrated that a group of wax biosynthetic genes were downregulated when CsZFP6 was absent.Further, transient expression assay revealed that CsZFP6 acted as a transcription activator of cuticular wax biosynthetic genes.Taken together, our findings demonstrated a novel regulator of fruit glossiness, which will provide new insights into regulatory mechanism of fruit glossiness in cucumber. | Yan Yang Congxi Cai Yipeng Wang Yanran Wang Haolun Ju Xuehao Chen | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,1: | 1

Structure and function of bak gene and its apoptosis-inducing mechanism显示文摘The Bcl-2 family plays an important role in the regulation of apoptosis. Some members in the family prevent apoptosis while others promote it. The newly discovered bcl-2 homolog, bak, promotes the apoptosis induced by a variety of stimuli. It can interact with the anti-apoptotic members through its BH3 domain and antagonize their activity. Investigation results suggest that the expression of bak gene becomes altered in some diseases, such as cancer. The preferential stimulation of Bak-induced apoptosis, therefore, may be involved in the mechanisms of some antitumor drugs. | Yan Li Yipeng Qi Gengfu Xiao | 1999 | Chinese Science Bulletin1999,44,7: | 1

A novel mutation in ROR2 led to the loss of function of ROR2 and inhibited the osteogenic differentiation capability of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)显示文摘Receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor 2(ROR2)has a vital role in osteogenesis. However, the mechanism underlying the regulation of ROR2 in osteogenic differentiation is still poorly comprehended.A previous study by our research group showed that a novel compound heterozygous ROR2 variation accounted for the autosomal recessive Robinow syndrome(ARRS).This study attempted to explore the impact of the ROR2:c.904C>T variant specifically on the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs.Methods:Coimmunoprecipitation(CoIP)-western blotting was carried out to identify the interaction between ROR2 and Wnt5a.Double-immunofluorescence staining was used for determining the expressions and co-localization of ROR2 and Wnt5a in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs).Western blot(WB)analysis and quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)were conducted to identify the expression levels of ROR2 in the BMSCs transfected with LV-shROR2 or LV-ROR2-c.904C>T.The alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity was detected, and Alizarin Red S staining was done for evaluating the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs.RT-qPCR was employed to identify the expression of the sphingomyelin synthase 1(SMS1)mRNA in the BMSCs transfected with LV-shROR2 or LV-ROR2-c.904C>T and the mRNA expression levels of Runt-related transcription factor 2(RUNX2),osteocalcin(OCN),and osteopontin(OPN).WB was performed to confirm the protein expressions of extracellular regulated protein kinases1(ERK),P-ERK,Smad family member1/5/8(Smad1/5/8),P-Smad1/5/8,P-P38,P38,RUNX2,OCN,and OPN in the BMSCs transfected with LV-shROR2/LV-ROR2-c.904C>T and sphingomyelin(SM).Results:The ROR2:c.904C>T mutant altered the subcellular localization of the ROR2 protein, which caused an impaired interaction between ROR2 and Wnt5a.The depletion of ROR2 restricted the osteogenic differentiation capability of BMSCs and downregulated the expression of SMS1.SM treatment could reverse the inhibition of osteoblastic differentiation in ROR2-depleted BMSCs.Conclusion:The findings of this work revealed that the ROR2:c.904C>T variant led to the loss of function of ROR2,which impaired the interaction between ROR2 and Wnt5a and also controlled the osteogenic differentiation capability of BMSCs.Furthermore,SM was revealed to be engaged in the osteoblastic differentiation of BMSCs regulated by ROR2,which renders SM a potential target in the therapy for ARRS. | WENQI CHEN XIAOYANG CHU YANG ZENG YOUSHENG YAN YIPENG WANG DONGLAN SUN DONGLIANG ZHANG JING ZHANG KAI YANG | 2023 | BIOCELL2023,47,7: | 0
Geochronology,Geochemistry and Petrogenesis of the Bangbule Quartz Porphyry:Implications for Metallogenesis显示文摘The Bangbule skarn lead-zinc(Pb-Zn)deposit(>1 Mt Zn+Pb)is located in the western Nyainqentanglha polymetallic metallogenetic belt, central Tibet.Lenticular orebodies are all hosted in skarn and developed in the contact zone between the quartz porphyry and carbonate strata of the mid Paleozoic Middle to Upper Chaguoluoma Formation as well as in carbonate and sandstone beds of the Upper Paleozoic Laga Formation. As a newly discovered skarn deposit, the geological background and metallogenesis of this deposit remain poorly understood.Detailed petrological, geochemical and geochronological data of the ore-related quartz porphyry, helps constrain the mineralization age and contributes to discussion on the ore genesis of the Bangbule deposit. Both endoskarn and exoskarn are identified in the Bangbule deposit. From quartz porphyry to carbonate formation, the exoskarn is zoned from proximal garnet skarn to distal pyroxene skarn.Zircon U-Pb dating results show that the quartz porphyry formed at 73.9±0.8 Ma.Geochemical analysis results show that the quartz porphyry has high contents of SiO_(2)(71.40–74.94 wt%)and K_(2)O+Na_(2)O(3.76–8.46 wt%)with A/CNK values of 0.69 to 1.06.Besides,the quartz porphyry is enriched in large ion lithophile elements(LILEs)and light rare earth elements(LREEs)and have lowεNd(t)(from-8.25 to-8.19)and high initial(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)i values(0.713611–0.714478).Major,trace elements and whole-rock F concentration analysis results from the endoskarn samples show higher TFe_(2)O_(3),MgO,CaO,Pb+Zn,W,Sn,Mo and F etc.,and lower alkalis(K_(2)O,Na_(2)O,Sr and Ba)than those of fresh quartz porphyry, indicating that the early ore-forming fluids were an Ca-Fe-F-enriched fluid.Massive ore in the proximal skarn might be related to the high F content in the magma, which lowered the solidus temperature of the quartz porphyry magma and caused a lower temperature of the ore-forming fluids,as well as facilitating the precipitation of sphalerite and galena.Based on the geochemical characteristics presented in this study,we propose that the ore-related quartz porphyry was formed by partial melting of crust materials with some juvenile crustal component input. The partial melting of the middle-upper crust after the initial enrichment of lead and zinc elements are important for the formation of Pb-Zn deposits. The case study of the Bangbule deposit has proven that there is still a crust-derived magmatic source region in the western segment of the central Lhasa terrane. Therefore, there is still great potential for Pb-Zn mineralization and Pb-Zn exploration. | HE Chuankai WANG Yong WANG Haiyong TANG Juxing YAN Penggang WANG Yongqiang FU Xuelian FENG Yipeng | 2023 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,3: | 0
Operational Mode Identification Based on Sliding Time Window Method and Eigensystem Realization Algorithm显示文摘The identification result of operational mode is eurychoric while operational mode identification is investigated under ambient excitation, which is influenced by the signal size and the time interval. The operational mode identification method, which is based on the sliding time window method and the eigensystem realization algorithm(ERA),is investigated to improve the identification accuracy and stability.Firstly, the theory of the ERA method is introduced.Secondly, the strategy for decomposition and implementation is put forward, including the sliding time window method and the filtration method of modes. At last,an example is studied, where the model of a cantilever beam is built and the white noise exciting is input. Results show that the operational mode identification method can realize the modes, and has high robustness to the signal to noise ratio and signal size. | WANG Liang ZHANG Yan CAI Yipeng NANGONG Zijun | 2019 | Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2019,36,5: | 0
