1Acoustic sound speed profile inversion based on orthogonal matching pursuit显示文摘The estimation of ocean sound speed profiles(SSPs)requires the inversion of an acoustic field using limited observations.Such inverse problems are underdetermined,and require regularization to ensure physically realistic solutions.The empirical orthonormal function(EOF)is capable of a very large compression of the data set.In this paper,the non-linear response of the sound pressure to SSP is linearized using a first order Taylor expansion,and the pressure is expanded in a sparse domain using EOFs.Since the parameters of the inverse model are sparse,compressive sensing(CS)can help solve such underdetermined problems accurately,efficiently,and with enhanced resolution.Here,the orthogonal matching pursuit(OMP)is used to estimate range-independent acoustic SSPs using the simulated acoustic field.The superior resolution of OMP is demonstrated with the SSP data from the South China Sea experiment.By shortening the duration of the training set,the temporal correlation between EOF and test sets is enhanced,and the accuracy of sound velocity inversion is improved.The SSP estimation error versus depth is calculated,and the 99%confidence interval of error is within±0.6 m/s.The 82%of mean absolute error(MAE)is less than 1 m/s.It is shown that SSPs can be well estimated using OMP.Qianqian Li Juan Shi Zhenglin Li Yu Luo Fanlin Yang Kai Zhang 2019Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,11:4

6Comparison of two Bayesian-point-estimation methods in multiple-source localization显示文摘Environmental uncertainty represents the limiting factor in matched-field localization. Within a Bayesian framework, both the environmental parameters, and the source parameters are considered to be unknown variables. However, including environmental parameters in multiple-source localization greatly increases the complexity and computational demands of the inverse problem. In the paper, the closed-form maximumlikelihood expressions for source strengths and noise variance at each frequency allow these parameters to be sampled implicitly, substantially reducing the dimensionality and difficulty of the inversion. This paper compares two Bayesian-point-estimation methods: the maximum a posteriori(MAP) approach and the marginal posterior probability density(PPD) approach to source localization. The MAP approach determines the sources locations by maximizing the PPD over all source and environmental parameters. The marginal PPD approach integrates the PPD over the unknowns to obtain a sequence of marginal probability distribution over source range or depth.Monte Carlo analysis of the two approaches for a test case involving both geoacoustic and water-column uncertainties indicates that:(1) For sensitive parameters such as source range, water depth and water sound speed, the MAP solution is better than the marginal PPD solution.(2) For the less sensitive parameters, such as,bottom sound speed, bottom density, bottom attenuation and water sound speed, when the SNR is low, the marginal PPD solution can better smooth the noise, which leads to better performance than the MAP solution.Since the source range and depth are sensitive parameters, the research shows that the MAP approach provides a slightly more reliable method to locate multiple sources in an unknown environment.LI Qianqian MING Pingshou YANG Fanlin ZHANG Kai WU Ziyin 2018Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,6:1
7The binding epitope of sintilimab on PD-1 revealed by AbMap显示文摘PD-1 plays an important role as an immune checkpoint.Sintilimab is a newly approved PD-1 antibody for cancer immunotherapy with an unknown binding epitope on PD-1.In this study,to elucidate the molecular mechanism by which sintilimab blocks PD-1 activation,we applied Antibody binding epitope Mapping(AbMap)to identify the binding epitope of sintilimab.An epitope was successfully identified,i.e.SLAPKA,aa 127-132.By constructing a series of point mutations,the dominant residues S127,L128,A129,P130,and A132 of PD-1 were further validated by western blot analysis,biolayer interferometry,and flow cytometry.Structural analysis showed that the epitope is partially within the binding interface of PD-1 and PD-L1,and this epitope also partially overlaps with that of nivolumab and pembrolizumab.These results demonstrate that sintilimab can attenuate PD-1 activation by directly competing with the interaction between PD-1 and PD-L1 through binding with the key residues of the FG loop on PD-1.This study also demonstrates the high efficiency and accuracy of AbMap for determining the binding epitope of therapeutic antibodies.Mingliang Ma Huan Qi Chuansheng Hu Zhaowei Xu Fanlin Wu Nan Wang Danyun Lai Yang Li Hainan Zhang Hewei Jiang Qingfeng Meng Shujuan Guo Yani Kang Xiaodong Zhao Hua Li Sheng-ce Tao 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,5:1

9Automatic segmentation of gas plumes from multibeam water column images using a U-shape network显示文摘Cold seeps are widely developed on the seabed of continental margins and can form gas plumes due to the upward migration of methane-rich fluids.The detection and automatic segmentation of gas plumes are of great significance in locating and studying the cold seep system that is usually accompanied by hydrate layers in the subsurface.A multibeam echo-sounder system(MBES)can record the complete backscatter intensity of the water column,and it is one of the most effective means for detecting cold seeps.However,the gas plumes recorded in multibeam water column images(WCI)are usually blurred due to the interference of the complicated water environment and the sidelobes of the MBES,making it difficult to obtain the effective segmentation.Therefore,based on the existing UNet semantic segmentation network,this paper proposes an AP-UNet network combining the convolutional block attention module and the pyramid pooling module for the automatic segmentation and extraction of gas plumes.Comparative experiments are conducted among three traditional segmentation methods and two deep learning methods.The results show that the AP-UNet segmentation model can effectively suppress complicated water column noise interference.The segmentation precision,the Dice coefficient,and the recall rate of this model are 92.09%,92.00%,and 92.49%,respectively,which are 1.17%,2.10%,and 2.07%higher than the results of the UNet.Fanlin YANG Feng WANG Zhendong LUAN Xianhai BU Sai MEI Jianxing ZHANG Hongxia LIU 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,5:0

11An improved positioning model of deep-seafloor datum point at large incidence angle显示文摘The inhomogeneous sound speed in seawater causes refraction of sound waves,and the elimination of the refraction effect is essential to the accuracy of underwater acoustic positioning.The raytracing method is an indispensable tool for effectively handling problems.However,this method has a conflict between localization accuracy and computational quantity.The equivalent sound speed profile(ESSP)method uses a simple sound speed profile(SSP)instead of the actual complex SSP,which can improve positioning precision but with residual error.The residual error is especially non-negligible in deep water and at large beam incidence angles.By analyzing the residual error of the ESSP method through a simulation,an empirical formula of error is presented.The data collected in the sailing circle mode(large incidence angle)of the South China Sea are used for verification.The experiments show that compared to the ESSP method,the improved algorithm has higher positioning precision and is more efficient than the ray-tracing method.Qianqian LI Shoulian CAO Fanlin YANG Yu LUO Qian TONG 2024Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2024,42,1:0
12Automatic calibration for wobble errors in shallow water multibeam bathymetries显示文摘The wobble errors caused by the imperfect integration of motion sensors and transducers in multibeam echo-sounder systems(MBES)manifest as high-frequency wobbles in swaths and hinder the accurate expression of high-resolution seabed micro-topography under a dynamic marine environment.There are many types of wobble errors with certain coupling among them.However,those current calibration methods ignore the coupling and are mainly manual adjustments.Therefore,we proposed an automatic calibration method with the coupling.First,given the independence of the transmitter and the receiver,the traditional georeferenced model is modified to improve the accuracy of footprint reduction.Secondly,based on the improved georeferenced model,the calibration model associated with motion scale,time delay,yaw misalignment,lever arm errors,and soundings is constructed.Finally,the genetic algorithm(GA)is used to search dynamically for the optimal estimation of the corresponding error parameters to realize the automatic calibration of wobble errors.The simulated data show that the accuracy of the calibrated data can be controlled within 0.2%of the water depth.The measured data show that after calibration,the maximum standard deviation of the depth is reduced by about 5.9%,and the mean standard deviation of the depth is reduced by about 11.2%.The proposed method has significance in the precise calibration of dynamic errors in shallow water multibeam bathymetrie s.Tianyu YUN Xianhai BU Zhe XING Zhendong LUAN Miao FAN Fanlin YANG 2022Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,5:0

14Three-dimensional constrained gravity inversion of Moho depth and crustal structural characteristics at Mozambique continental margin显示文摘Mozambique's continental margin in East Africa was formed during the break-off stage of the east and west Gondwana lands. Studying the geological structure and division of continent-ocean boundary(COB) in Mozambique's continental margin is considered of great significance to rebuild Gondwana land and understand its movement mode. Along these lines, in this work, the initial Moho was fit using the known Moho depth from reflection seismic profiles, and a 3D multi-point constrained gravity inversion was carried out. Thus, highaccuracy Moho depth and crustal thickness in the study area were acquired. According to the crustal structure distribution based on the inversion results, the continental crust at the narrowest position of the Mozambique Channel was detected. 15基于深度学习的赤潮发生预报方法研究显示文摘赤潮作为海洋灾害,对海洋渔业、生态、经济,以及人类生产、生活造成了严重影响。一直以来,赤潮受到研究者的广泛关注,但由于它的形成机制比较复杂,使得赤潮预报极具挑战。针对赤潮预报的研究问题,本文收集了厦门海域赤潮发生前后的海洋监测数据,结合皮尔逊相关系数、散布矩阵、复相关系数方法,分析多环境因子与赤潮发生多要素的关联情况,重点采用基于深度学习的LSTM与CNN融合方法,挖掘环境因子的时序依赖,发现序列数据的局部特征,对赤潮发生进行预报。在厦门一号和厦门二号数据集中,本方法在预报未来12小时内的赤潮情况时,RMSE、MAE误差分别达到0.5218、0.5043。通过协同对比模型进一步确定赤潮发生的预报概率,在两个数据集上的最终预报准确率分别为67.58%,63.49%。本研究为赤潮的分析预报提供了探索经验,证明了将深度学习方法应用于赤潮预报的可行性。余璇 石绥祥 徐凌宇 王蕾 YANG Fanlin 2021Marine Science Bulletin2021,23,2:0
16An improved algorithm based on equivalent sound velocity profile method at large incident angle显示文摘With the development of ultra-wide coverage technology,multibeam echo-sounder(MBES)system has put forward higher requirements for localization accuracy and computational efficiency of ray tracing method.The classical equivalent sound speed profile(ESSP)method replaces the measured sound velocity profile(SVP)with a simple constant gradient SVP,reducing the computational workload of beam positioning.However,in deep-sea environment,the depth measurement error of this method rapidly increases from the central beam to the edge beam.By analyzing the positioning error of the ESSP method at edge beam,it is discovered that the positioning error increases monotonically with the incident angle,and the relationship between them could be expressed by polynomial function.Therefore,an error correction algorithm based on polynomial fitting is obtained.The simulation experiment conducted on an inclined seafloor shows that the proposed algorithm exhibits comparable efficiency to the original ESSP method,while significantly improving bathymetry accuracy by nearly eight times in the edge beam.Qianqian Li Qian Tong Fanlin Yang Qi Li Zhihao Juan Yu Luo 2024Acta Oceanologica Sinica2024,43,2:0
