Fractionation of residual Al in natural water treatment from reservoir with poly-aluminum-silicate-chloride (PASiC): Effect of OH/Al, Si/Al molar ratios and initial pH显示文摘An aluminum fractionation study was conducted for a surface reservoir water treatment to understand the performance of polyaluminum-silicate-chloride (PASiC) in terms of the residual Al fractions as a function of initial pH. The coagulation performance expressed as turbidity and organic matter removal was established as supporting data. Some extra data were evaluated in terms of the residual Al ratio of the composite PASiC coagulant. The main residual Al sources were the Al fractions derived from the use of PASiC. The turbidity and organic matter removal ability was optimal at initial pH 6.00-7.00, while the concentrations of various residual Al species and the residual Al ratio of PASiC were minimal at an initial pH range of 7.00-8.00. Under the conditions of OH/Al molar ratio=2.00 and Si/Al molar ratio=0.05, PASiC had superior coagulation performance and comparatively low residual Al concentrations. The Al fraction in the composite PASiC coagulant seldom remained under such conditions. Experimental data also indicated that the suspended (filterable) Al fraction was the dominant species, and organic-bound or organo-Al complex Al was considered to be the major species of dissolved Al in water treated by PASiC coagulation. Additionally, the dissolved inorganic monomeric Al species dominated the dissolved monomeric Al fraction. | Zhonglian Yang Baoyu Gao Yan Wang Yaqin Zhao Qinyan Yue | 2012 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,11: | 7
Pre-treatment of pyridine wastewater by new cathodic–anodic-electrolysis packing显示文摘A novel cathodic–anodic-electrolysis packing(CAEP) used in the treatment of pyridine wastewater was researched, which mainly consisted of 4,4′-diamino-2,2′-disulfonic acid(DSD acid) industrial iron sludge. The physical properties and morphology of the packing were studied. The CAEP was used in a column reactor during the pretreatment of pyridine wastewater. The influence of p H, hydraulic retention time(HRT), the air–liquid ratio(A/L)and the initial concentration of pyridine were investigated by measuring the removal of total organic carbon(TOC) and pyridine. The characterization results showed that the bulk density, grain density, water absorption percentage and specific surface area were 921 kg/m3,1086 kg/m3, 25% and 29.89 m^2/g, respectively; the removal of TOC and pyridine could reach50% and 58% at the optimal experimental conditions(p H = 3, HRT = 8 hr, A/L = 2). Notably, the surface of the packing was renewed constantly during the running of the filter, and the handling capacity was stable after running for three months. | Yang Jin Qinyan Yue Kunlun Yang Suqing Wu Shengjie Li Baoyu Gao Yuan Gao | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,1: | 6
Biocontrol of Rhizoctonia solani Kühn Using Fermentative Solution of Streptomyces corchorusii Strain NF0919显示文摘A strain of Streptomyces corchorusii( NF0919) antagonistic to Rhizoctonia solani Kühn was isolated, which produced alkyl glycoside with high antifungal activity. To investigate the antifungal activity of Streptomyces corchorusii strain NF0919,the treatments amended with the non-sterilized supernatant resulted in the highest growth inhibition rate of about 100% at a concentration of 20%. The antifungal compound, which inhibited the growth of Rhizoctonia solani Kühn,was extracted by Et OAC and purified by silica gel,Sephadex LH-20 column, and HPLC,where an active fraction was confirmed by LC-MS and NMR techniques. These results suggested that NF0919 had a high potential in the biocontrol of Rhizoctonia solani Kühn,which was mainly due to surface active agent APG. | Jinghui YANG Wenwen ZHANG Hongzhou CHEN Ting XIAO Qinyan WU | 2015 | Agricultural Biotechnology2015,4,1: | 3
Advanced lignin-acrylamide water treatment agent by pulp and paper industrial sludge: Synthesis, properties and application显示文摘A novel flocculant LA(lignin-acrylamide polymer), which was used as aid for aluminum sulfate and polyaluminum chloride in this study, was prepared by grafting acrylamide onto lignin that deriving from pulp and papermaking sludge. Physicochemical properties of LA were measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The experimental outcome indicated acrylamide was grafted onto the lignin backbone successfully. The efects of LA addition were evaluated on coagulation performance and floc characteristics as a function of aluminum(Al) dosage, such as floc size, growth rate, strength and recoverability. Efects of diferent dosing sequences, Al dosed first and LA dosed first, were also investigated. LA used as coagulant aid markedly enhanced the removal efciency of turbidity and dissolved organic carbon, especially at low Al dosages. The dissolved organic carbon removal efciencies of aluminum sulfate and polyaluminum chloride at the Al dosage range selected in this study were improved more than 30% and 5% by LA, respectively. LA dramatically enlarged floc size and it was in the order: Al dosed first > LA dosed first > Al. Floc strength and recoverability were also improved by LA. LA played a significant role in charge neutralization, adsorption and bridging in floc formation. | Hongyan Rong Baoyu Gao Yanxia Zhao Shenglei Sun Zhonglian Yang Yan Wang Qinyan Yue Qian Li | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,12: | 2

Study on liquid–liquid two-phase mass transfer characteristics in the microchannel with deformed insert显示文摘In this work, the liquid-liquid two-phase mass transfer characteristics in the microchannel with deformed insert were studied. The experiment used di-(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid/kerosene-Cu^(2+)as the mass transfer evaluation system. The effects of some key factors such as the total flow velocity, channel inner diameter, channel length, insert diameter, extractant concentration on the extraction efficiency and mass transfer coefficient were systematically investigated. Compared with a simple microreactor, the liquid-liquid mass transfer enhancement effect of the insert was quantitatively analyzed. The study found that the regular deformation of the insert could cause fluid interface deformation and promote flow state chaos, effectively increasing the mass transfer rate. And the enhancement effect of the insert was more significant at high flow velocities. The highest mass transfer coefficient in the microchannel with deformed insert was 7.886 s^(-1), the enhancement factor could reach 4.17. And only needed 0.095 s to approach the extraction equilibrium. The deformed center insert exhibited an effective liquid-liquid mass transfer enhancement effect, which can be used as a micro-chemical process enhancement method to be applied in the fields of higher throughput mass transfer and chemical synthesis, and at the same time provide ideas for development and structural optimization of microreactors. | Qinyan Wang Yang Jin Jun Li Yongbo Zhou Ming Chen | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,54,2: | 0
Numerical study on the hydrodynamics behavior of a central insert microchannel显示文摘In this work, the computational fluid dynamics method is used to study the liquid hydrodynamics behavior in the microchannel without central insert(MC1) and the central insert microchannel(MC2), respectively. The maximum deviation between simulation and experiment is 24%. The formations of flow patterns are explained based on contours and force analysis where the flow pattern maps are established by two-phase flow rate. The effects of aqueous phase viscosity and two-phase flow rate on the characteristic sizes of each flow pattern are also explored. Specifically, four unconventional flow patterns are found in MC2, namely the unique droplet flow, the unique slug flow, the unique coarse annular flow and the unique film annular flow. Though the insert occupies part of the channel, the pressure difference in the channel is significantly reduced compared with MC1. Moreover, the insert significantly changes the formation velocity range of each flow pattern, greatly broadens the formation range of annular flow and also has an important influence on the characteristic size of the flow pattern. The organic-phase dimensionless axial size(Lo/W) and the dimensionless radial size(Do/W) of the droplet(slug) are negatively related to the aqueous-phase viscosity(μa) and flow rate(ua). The Do/W of the annular is negatively correlated with μaand positively correlated with organic-phase flow rate(uo). This study provides direct numerical evidence that the insert is key to the formation of bicontinuous phase flow pattern, as well as further strengthens our understanding of the flow characteristics and optimization design of insert microchannels. | Yongbo Zhou Yang Jin Jun Li Qinyan Wang Ming Chen | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,53,1: | 0
The toxic natural product tutin causes epileptic seizures in mice by activating calcineurin显示文摘Tutin,an established toxic natural product that causes epilepsy in rodents,is often used as a tool to develop animal model of acute epileptic seizures. However, the molecular target and toxic mechanism of tutin were unclear. In this study, for the first time,we conducted experiments to clarify the targets in tutin-induced epilepsy using thermal proteome profiling. Our studies showed that calcineurin(CN)was a target of tutin, and that tutin activated CN,leading to seizures.Binding site studies further established that tutin bound within the active site of CN catalytic subunit.CN inhibitor and calcineurin A(CNA)knockdown experiments in vivo proved that tutin induced epilepsy by activating CN,and produced obvious nerve damage.Together, these findings revealed that tutin caused epileptic seizures by activating CN.Moreover, further mechanism studies found that N-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA)receptors,gammaaminobutyric acid(GABA)receptors and voltage-and Ca2+-activated K+(BK)channels might be involved in related signaling pathways. Our study fully explains the convulsive mechanism of tutin, which provides new ideas for epilepsy treatment and drug development. | Qing-Tong Han Wan-Qi Yang Caixia Zang Linchao Zhou Chong-Jing Zhang Xiuqi Bao Jie Cai Fangfei Li Qinyan Shi Xiao-Liang Wang Jing Qu Dan Zhang Shi-Shan Yu | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4: | 0
