Parallel Dispatch:A New Paradigm of Electrical Power System Dispatch显示文摘Modern power systems are evolving into sociotechnical systems with massive complexity, whose real-time operation and dispatch go beyond human capability. Thus, the need for developing and applying new intelligent power system dispatch tools are of great practical significance. In this paper, we introduce the overall business model of power system dispatch, the top level design approach of an intelligent dispatch system, and the parallel intelligent technology with its dispatch applications. We expect that a new dispatch paradigm, namely the parallel dispatch, can be established by incorporating various intelligent technologies, especially the parallel intelligent technology, to enable secure operation of complex power grids, extend system operators' capabilities, suggest optimal dispatch strategies, and to provide decision-making recommendations according to power system operational goals. | Jun Jason Zhang Fei-Yue Wang Qiang Wang Dazhi Hao Xiaojing Yang David Wenzhong Gao Xiangyang Zhao Yingchen Zhang | 2018 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2018,5,1: | 5
Regulation of shear stress on rolling behaviors of HL-60 cells on P-selectin显示文摘Circulating leukocytes in trafficking to the inflammatory sites, will be first tether to, and then roll on the vascular surface. This event is mediated through specific interaction of P-selectin and P-selectin glycoprotein ligand-1(PSGL-1), and regulated by hemodynamics. Poor data were reported in understanding P-selectin-mediated rolling. With the flow chamber technique, we herein observed HL-60 cell rolling on P-selectin with or without 3% Ficoll at various wall shear stresses from 0.05 to 0.4 dyn/cm2. The results demonstrated that force rather than transport regulated the rolling, similar to rolling on L- and E-selectin. The rolling was accelerated quickly by an increasing force below the optimal shear threshold of 0.15 dyn/cm2 first and then followed by a slowly decelerating phase starting at the optimum, showing a catch-slip transition and serving as a mechanism for the rolling. The catch-slip transition was completely reflected to the tether lifetime and other rolling parameters, such as the mean and fractional stop time. The narrow catch bond regime stabilized the rolling quickly, through steeply increasing fractional stop time to a plateau of about 0.85. Data presented here suggest that the low shear stress threshold serves as a mechanism for most cell rolling events through P-selectin. | LING YingChen FANG Ying YANG XiaoFang LI QuHuan LIN QinYong WU JianHua | 2014 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,10: | 4
Plasmonic silver/silver oxide nanoparticles anchored bismuth vanadate as a novel visible-light ternary photocatalyst for degrading pharmaceutical micropollutants显示文摘The degradation of pharmaceutical micropollutants is an intensifying environmental problem and synthesis of efficient photocatalysts for this purpose is one of the foremost challenges worldwide. Therefore, this study was conducted to develop novel plasmonic Ag/Ag2O/BiVO4 nanocomposite photocatalysts by simple precipitation and thermal decomposition methods, which could exhibit higher photocatalytic activity for mineralized pharmaceutical micropollutants.Among the different treatments, the best performance was observed for the Ag/Ag2O/BiVO4 nanocomposites (5 wt.%;10 min’s visible light irradiation)which exhibited 6.57 times higher photodegradation rate than the pure BiVO4.Further,the effects of different influencing factors on the photodegradation system of tetracycline hydrochloride (TC-HCl) were investigated and the feasibility for its practical application was explored through the specific light sources, water source and cycle experiments. The mechanistic study demonstrated that the photogenerated holes (h^+),superoxide radicals (·O2^-)and hydroxyl radicals (·OH) participated in TC-HCl removal process, which is different from the pure BiVO4 reaction system.Hence, the present work can provide a new approach for the formation of novel plasmonic photocatalysts with high photoactivity and can act as effective practical application for environmental remediation. | Shengyan Pu Zeng Yang Jing Tang Hui Ma Shengyang Xue Yingchen Bai | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,10: | 3

Population analysis reveals the roles of DNA methylation in tomato domestication and metabolic diversity显示文摘DNA methylation is an important epigenetic marker, yet its diversity and consequences in tomato breeding at the population level are largely unknown. We performed whole-genome bisulfite sequencing(WGBS),RNA sequencing, and metabolic profiling on a population comprising wild tomatoes, landraces, and cultivars.A total of 8,375 differentially methylated regions(DMRs)were identified, with methylation levels progressively decreasing from domestication to improvement. We found that over 20%of DMRs overlapped with selective sweeps. Moreover, more than 80%of DMRs in tomato were not significantly associated with single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs),and DMRs had strong linkages with adjacent SNPs.We additionally profiled 339 metabolites from 364 diverse accessions and further performed a metabolic association study based on SNPs and DMRs.We detected 971 and 711 large-effect loci via SNP and DMR markers, respectively.Combined with multi-omics,we identified 13 candidate genes and updated the polyphenol biosynthetic pathway. Our results showed that DNA methylation variants could complement SNP profiling of metabolite diversity. Our study thus provides a DNA methylome map across diverse accessions and suggests that DNA methylation variation can be the genetic basis of metabolic diversity in plants. | Hao Guo Peng Cao Chao Wang Jun Lai Yuan Deng Chun Li Yingchen Hao Zeyong Wu Ridong Chen Qi Qiang Alisdair RFernie Jun Yang Shouchuang Wang | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,8: | 0

Elucidation of the melitidin biosynthesis pathway in pummelo显示文摘Specialized plant metabolism is a rich resource of compounds for drug discovery. The acylated flavonoid glycoside melitidin is being developed as an anti-cholesterol statin drug candidate, but its biosynthetic route in plants has not yet been fully characterized. Here,we describe the gene discovery and functional characterization of a new flavonoid gene cluster(UDP-glucuronosyltransferases(Cg UGTs),1,2rhamnosyltransferase(Cg1,2Rha T),acyltransferases(Cg ATs))that is responsible for melitidin biosynthesis in pummelo(Citrus grandis(L.)Osbeck).Population variation analysis indicated that the tailoring of acyltransferases, specific for bitter substrates, mainly determine the natural abundance of melitidin.Moreover,3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-Co A reductase enzyme inhibition assays showed that the product from this metabolic gene cluster, melitidin, may be an effective anti-cholesterol statin drug candidate.Co-expression of these clustered genes in Nicotiana benthamiana resulted in the formation of melitidin, demonstrating the potential for metabolic engineering of melitidin in a heterologous plant system. This study establishes a biosynthetic pathway for melitidin, which provides genetic resources for the breeding and genetic improvement of pummelo aimed at fortifying the content of biologically active metabolites. | Shuangqian Shen Shouchuang Wang Chenkun Yang Chao Wang Qianqian Zhou Shen Zhou Ran Zhang Yufei Li Zixuan Wang Liupan Dai Wenjv Peng Yingchen Hao Hao Guo Guangping Cao Xianqing Liu Fan Yao Qiang Xu Alisdair RFernie Jie Luo | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,11: | 0
