1Plant-derived phosphocholine facilitates cellular uptake of anti-pulmonary fibrotic HJT-sRNA-m7显示文摘Pulmonary fibrosis, a progressive chronic disease with a high mortality rate, has limited treatment options. Currently, lung transplantation remains the only effective treatment. Here we report that a small RNA, HJT-sRNA-m7, from a Chinese herbal medicine Hong Jing Tian(HJT, RHODIOHAE CRENULATAE RADIX ET RHIZOMA, Rhodiola crenulata) can effectively reduce the expressions of fibrotic hallmark genes and proteins both in alveolar in vitro and in mouse lung tissues in vivo. We also discovered over one hundred oil-soluble chemicals from HJT decoctions, most of which are found in lipid extracts from other Chinese herbals decoctions, including Pu Gong Ying(PGY, TARAXACI HERBA, Taraxacum mongolicum), Chuan Xin Lian(CXL, changed to 'ANDROGRAPHIS HERBA, Andrographis paniculata'), and Jin Yin Hua(JYH, lonicera japonica or Honeysuckle). We identified the active component in these decoctions as two forms of phosphocholines, PC(18:0/18:2) and PC(16:0/18:2). These PCs potentially could form liposomes with small RNAs to enter human alveolar and gastric cells. 2Radiomics approach for preoperative identification of stages Ⅰ-Ⅱand Ⅲ-Ⅳ of esophageal cancer显示文摘Objective: To predict preoperative staging using a radiomics approach based on computed tomography(CT)images of patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).Methods: This retrospective study included 154 patients(primary cohort: n=114; validation cohort: n=40) with pathologically confirmed ESCC. All patients underwent a preoperative CT scan from the neck to abdomen. High throughput and quantitative radiomics features were extracted from the CT images for each patient. A radiomics signature was constructed using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(Lasso). Associations between radiomics signature, tumor volume and ESCC staging were explored. Diagnostic performance of radiomics approach and tumor volume for discriminating between stages Ⅰ-Ⅱ and Ⅲ-Ⅳ was evaluated and compared using the receiver operating characteristics(ROC) curves and net reclassification improvement(NRI).Results: A total of 9,790 radiomics features were extracted. Ten features were selected to build a radiomics signature after feature dimension reduction. 3A self-organizing multimodal multi-objective pigeon-inspired optimization algorithm显示文摘Multi-objective optimization algorithms have recently attracted much attention as they can solve problems involving two or more conflicting objectives effectively and efficiently. However, most existing studies focus on improving the performance of the solutions in the objective spaces. This paper proposes a novel multimodal multi-objective pigeon-inspired optimization(MMOPIO) algorithm where some mechanisms are designed for the distribution of the solutions in the decision spaces. First, MMOPIO employs an improved pigeon-inspired optimization(PIO) based on consolidation parameters for simplifying the structure of the standard PIO. Second, the self-organizing map(SOM) is combined with the improved PIO for better control of the decision spaces, and thus, contributes to building a good neighborhood relation for the improved PIO.Finally, the elite learning strategy and the special crowding distance calculation mechanisms are used to prevent premature convergence and obtain solutions with uniform distribution, respectively. 4Effect of heat treatment on mechanical properties of heavily cold-rolled Fe-6.5wt%Si alloy sheet显示文摘Fe-6.5wt%Si alloy has excellent soft magnetic properties,but it is hard to be cold-rolled due to appearance of ordered phases in this alloy.In this paper we report that ultra thin Fe-6.5wt%Si sheet of 0.05 mm thick was obtained by heavily cold rolling.By means of optical microscope,micro-hardness indenter,instron,SEM and X-ray diffraction,the effect of heat treatment on mechanical properties of this alloy sheet was investigated.The heavily cold-rolled sheet exhibits some extent of ductility.The ultimate tensile strength reaches 1.93 GPa.After heat treatment,micro-hardness is decreased and the ductility is lost,especially at temperature above 650℃ when recrystallization takes place.The reason for decreasing the ductility lies in the ordered DO3 phase transformation.LIANG YongFeng,YE Feng,LIN JunPin,WANG YanLi,ZHANG LaiQi & CHEN GuoLiang State Key Laboratory for Advanced Metals and Materials,University of Science and Technology Beijing,Beijing 100083,China 2010Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,4:10
5Hierarchical engineering of CoNi@Air@C/SiO_(2)@Polypyrrole multicomponent nanocubes to improve the dielectric loss capability and magnetic-dielectric synergy显示文摘Impedance matching characteristics and loss capabilities including magnetic loss,polarization loss and conduction loss are critical factors to improve microwave absorption performances(MAPs).To elevate these aspects,herein,yolk-shell structured CoNi@Air@C/SiO_(2)@Polypyrrole(PPy)magnetic multicomponent nanocubes(MCNCs)were designed and successfully fabricated in high efficiency through a continuous co-precipitation route,classical Stöber method,thermal treatment and polymerization reaction.The obtained results indicated that the formation of SiO_(2) effectively stabilized the cubic geometrical morphology and yolk-shell structure during the high-temperature pyrolysis process.The introduction of PPy greatly boosted their polarization loss and conductive loss capabilities.Therefore,the as-prepared yolkshell structured CoNi@Air@C/SiO_(2)@PPy MCNCs presented superior MAPs compared to CoNi@Air@C/SiO_(2) MCNCs.Furthermore,by regulating the content of PPy,the obtained CoNi@Air@C/SiO_(2)@PPy MCNCs displayed tunable and excellent comprehensive MAPs in terms of strong absorption capabilities,broad frequency bandwidths and thin matching thicknesses,which could be ascribed to the unique structure and excellent magnetic-dielectric synergistic effect.Therefore,our findings provided an alternative pathway to effectively utilize the magnetic-dielectric synergy and loss capabilities for the developing yolk-shell structured magnetic MCNCs as the strong wideband microwave absorbers.Qiqin Liang Lei Wang Xiaosi Qi Qiong Peng Xiu Gong Yanli Chen Ren Xie Wei Zhong 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,16:7
6Carbon foams prepared from coal tar pitch for building thermal insulation material with low cost显示文摘A new approach is provided to resolve the large-scale applications of coal tar pitch. Carbon foams with uniform pore size are prepared at the foaming pressure of normal pressure using coal tar pitch as raw materials. The physical and chemical performance of high softening point pitch(HSPP) can be regulated by vacuumizing owing to the cooperation of vacuumizing and polycondensation. Results indicate that the optimum softening point and weight ratio of quinoline insoluble are about 292℃ and 65.7%, respectively. And the optimum viscosity of HSPP during the foaming process is distributed in the range of 1000-10000 Pa·s. The resultant carbon foam exhibits excellent performance, such as uniform pore structure, high compressive strength(4.7 MPa), low thermal conductivity(0.07 W·m^(-1) ·K^(-1)), specially, it cannot be fired under the high temperature of 1200 ℃.Thus, this kind of carbon foam is a potential candidate for thermal insulation material applied in energy saving building.Xiang Liu Yanli Wang Liang Zhan 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,2:6
7A Comparative Study on Hydrodynamic Performance of Double Deflector Rectangular Cambered Otter Board显示文摘In the present work,the hydrodynamic performance of the double deflector rectangular cambered otter board was studied using wind tunnel experiment,flume tank experiment and numerical simulation.Results showed that the otter board had a good hydrodynamic performance with the maximum lift-to-drag ratio(K_(MAX) = 3.70).The flow separation occurred when the angle of attack(AOA) was at 45?,which revealed that the double deflector structure of the otter board can delay the flow separation.Numerical simulation results showed a good agreement with experiment ones,and could predict the critical AOA,which showed that it can be used to study the hydrodynamic performance of the otter board with the advantage of flow visualization.However,the drag coefficient in flume tank was much higher than that in wind tunnel,which resulted in a lower lift-to-drag ratio.These may be due to different fluid media between flume tank and wind tunnel,which result in the big difference of the vortexes around the otter board.Given the otter boards are operated in water,it was suggested to apply both flume tank experiment and numerical simulation to study the hydrodynamic performance of otter board.XU Qingchang FENG Chunlei HUANG Liuyi XU Jiqiang WANG Lei ZHANG Xun LIANG Zhenlin TANG Yanli ZHAO Fenfang WANG Xinxin 2018Journal of Ocean University of China2018,17,5:5
8Significant Effects of Fishing Gear Selectivity on Fish Life History显示文摘Over the past few decades, extreme changes have occurred in the characters of exploited fish populations. The majority of these changes have affected the growth traits of fish life history, which include a smaller size-at-age, an earlier age-at-maturation and among others. Currently, the causes of these life history traits changes still require systematic analyses and empirical studies. The explanations that have been cited are merely expressed in terms of fish phenotypic adaptation. It has been claimed that the original traits of fish can be recovered once the intensity of exploitation of the fish is controlled. Sustained environmental and fishing pressure will change the life history traits of most fish species, so the fish individual's traits are still in small size-at-age and at earlier age-at-maturation in exploited fish populations. In this paper, we expressed our view of points that fishing gear has imposed selectivity on fish populations and individuals as various other environmental factors have done and such changes are unrecoverable. 9Facile preparation of antibacterial MOF‐fabric systems for functional protective wearables显示文摘Metal‐organic frameworks(MOFs)have shown numerous potentials as promising materials to address real‐world problems.However,their practical utilization in commercial products was largely limited by the lack of downstream processing methodologies to transform MOF powders into functional products.In this study,a commercially viable solution for the general synthesis of MOF‐fabric composites was introduced.On account of coordination bonding between poly(acrylic acid)and MOF substrates,MOF powders securely adhered onto the surface of fabric materials via a drip cast method to give MOF‐fabric composites easily.This strategy can be applied to different MOF types,as well as a wide variety of fabric materials.The prepared materials showed excellent bacterial killing efficacy attributed to the embedded HKUST‐1 MOF.In light of the recent coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic,this methodology could enable the large‐scale fabrication of essential MOF‐based personal protective wearables(e.g.,clothing and masks)for use by healthcare professionals.Wei Liang Teo Jiawei Liu Weiqiang Zhou Yanli Zhao 2021SmartMat2021,2,4:4
10Hydrocarbon Micro-Seepage Detection by Altered Minerals Mapping from Airborne Hyper-Spectral Data in Xifeng Oilfield,China显示文摘Hydrocarbon micro-seepage can cause oxidation reduction reactions and produce altered minerals in surface sediments and soil.The typical altered minerals mapping by their diagnostic spectral features on hyper-spectral images is an important tool for the petroleum exploration industry.In this study,the airborne hyper-spectral data were used to investigate the altered minerals induced by hydrocarbon micro-seepages by spectral feature fitting(SFF)in the loess coverage area of Xifeng Oilfield.The results reveal that the distribution region of the altered minerals induced by hydrocarbon micro-seepage is larger than the known oilfield exploration area.The potential hydrocarbon micro-seepage region was also revealed by the distribution of altered minerals besides the known hydrocarbon area.A fast index was proposed by the absorption depths of clay and carbonate minerals for assessment of hydrocarbon microseepage.And it gave much clearer boundaries for the hydrocarbon micro-seepage in the loess coverage area than those by the altered mineral mapping.In addition,some field samples were analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and atomic absorption spectrophotometer to validate the results.Within the extents of hydrocarbon micro-seepage,there are lower contents of ferric iron and higher contents of carbonate minerals in these samples.Therefore,it is satisfactory to have the airborne hyper-spectral data to outline the extents of hydrocarbon micro-seepage for further hydrocarbon exploration in the loess coverage area.Shengbo Chen Ying Zhao Liang Zhao Yanli Liu Chao Zhou 2017Journal of Earth Science2017,28,4:3
11Antifungal properties and mechanisms of three volatile aldehydes(octanal,nonanal and decanal)on Aspergillus flavus显示文摘The harmof Aspergillus flavus(A.flavus)and aflatoxin is a severe food safety problemworldwide,which causes huge economic losses every year.Therefore,it is urgent to control the growth of A.flavus and the biosynthesis of aflatoxin.Plant-derived natural compounds are superior to synthetic fungicide in inhibiting the growth of A.flavus benefiting from their high safety to the environment,humans and stock,and low cost.This study aimed to evaluate the antifungal effects and potential antifungal mechanisms of three plant-derived compounds(octanal,nonanal and decanal)against A.flavus.We determined the minimum inhibitory concentrations(MICs)and action mechanism of the three volatile aldehydes on A.flavus and also performed calcofluor white(CW)staining for visualizing the distribution of septa.Cell respiration metabolism and the pathogenicity on maize kernels were also carried out to evaluate the efficacy of the three volatile aldehydes on the growth of A.flavus.The results showed that the three volatile aldehydes could inhibit the germination of spores and mycelial growth of A.flavus,the MICs on spores and mycelia were:octanal(1.0 and 0.5μL/mL),nonanal(0.5 and 2.0μL/mL),and decanal(1 and 5μL/mL).The three volatile aldehydes could strongly damage the integrity of both the cell wall and the cell membrane of A.flavus.Meanwhile,they could decrease the content of total lipid and inhibit respiration metabolism of A.flavus cell.Results of in vitro antifungal test showed that all the three volatile aldehydes could effectively prevent the growth of A.flavus on maize kernels.The study revealed that octanal,nonanal and decanal could effectively inhibit the growth of A.flavus both in culture medium and on maize kernels to different extent.The results confirmed that the plant-derived compounds could be developed into promising antifungal agents applied in the preservation of grains.This study provides a theoretical basis for the research and application of potential antifungal agents.Qian Li Xiaoman Zhu Yanli Xie Jingmeng Liang 2021Grain & Oil Science and Technology2021,4,3:2
12Study on co-occurrence character networks from Chinese essays in different periods显示文摘Co-occurrence networks of Chinese characters are constructed from collections of essays in different periods of China:the ancient Chinese language,the Chinese language in Wei,Jin,and Southern-Northern Dynasties,the recent Chinese language,and the modern Chinese language,and their statistical parameters are studied.It has been found that 99.6% networks have the scale-free feature and 95.0% networks have the smallworld e?ect.This study reveals some commonalities and di?erences among articles in different periods of China from a complex network perspective.There has been a controversial question as to whether the literatures in Wei,Jin,and Southern-Northern Dynasties should belong to the ancient Chinese language or the recent Chinese language in the linguistic study.Our work shows that the statistical parameters of networks in Wei,Jin,and Southern-Northern Dynasties are clearly different from those of networks in the other periods of China,and it seems more reasonable that the literatures in Wei,Jin,and Southern-Northern Dynasties belong to the recent Chinese language.LIANG Wei SHI YuMing TSE Chi K WANG YanLi 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,11:2

16Evaluation of urban redevelopment impact on non-motorized traffic显示文摘As an important component of city evolution,urban land redevelopment has an impact on transportation system.The current traffic impact analysis(TLA) is lack of a comprehensive component for non-motorized transportation under redevelopment.For a better guidance of land redevelopment and non-motorized transportation planning,it is necessary to evaluate the negative impact of redevelopment on non-motorized traffic in the TIA.In this paper,an evaluation framework for the impact analysis is built up.We organized the procedures and components of impact evaluation,and proposed the corresponding qualitative and quantitative evaluation indicators for non-motorized traffic under redevelopment.Level of service(LOS) and its criterion are employed for external impact evaluation,and level of safety,convenience,independence,and comfort which are four aspects of quality of service(QOS) are proposed to analyze the internal impact.The framework is applied to a redevelopment study in Shanghai,China.The case study results indicate that the redevelopment from a residential area to a mixed commercial area has a significant impact on non-motorized traffic.The potential negative impact from both external and internal traffic can be minimized by reasonable improvements in the internal land use design.Yanli Wang Liang Li Xiaoyu Zhu Bing Wu Linbo Li 2015Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2015,2,3:1
