| 1 | Pollution characteristics and health risk assessment of benzene homologues in ambient air in the northeastern urban area of Beijing, China显示文摘Ambient benzene homologues were measured at a site in the northeastern urban area of Beijing, China, from August 24 to September 4, 2012 by SUMMA canister sampling followed by laboratory determination using cryogenic cold trap pre-concentration-GC-MS/FID, and their health risks were also assessed. Daily total benzene homologues ranged from 0.99 to 49.71 μg/m3with an average of 11.98 μg/m3. Benzene homologues showed higher concentrations in the morning and evening than that at noontime. Comparison with previous studies revealed a trend of decrease for ambient benzene homologues probably due to the efective emission control in Beijing in recent years. Vehicular exhaust was the main source while volatilization of paints and solvents also made substantial contributions. Health risk assessment showed that BTEX(benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, o-xylene, m-xylene and p-xylene) and styrene had no appreciable adverse non-cancer health risks for the exposed population, while benzene has potential cancer risk of 1.34E-05. | 3 | New molecular method to detect denitrifying anaerobic methane oxidation bacteria from different environmental niches显示文摘The denitrifying anaerobic methane oxidation is an ecologically important process for reducing the potential methane emission into the atmosphere.The responsible bacterium for this process was Candidatus Methylomirabilis oxyfera belonging to the bacterial phylum of NC10.In this study,a new pair of primers targeting all the five groups of NC10 bacteria was designed to amplify NC10 bacteria from different environmental niches.The results showed that the group A was the dominant NC10 phylum bacteria from the sludges and food waste digestate while in paddy soil samples,group A and group B had nearly the same proportion.Our results also indicated that NC10 bacteria could exist in a high p H environment(pH 9.24)from the food waste treatment facility.The Pearson relationship analysis showed that the p H had a significant positive relationship with the NC10 bacterial diversity(p<0.05).The redundancy analysis further revealed that the p H,volatile solid and nitrite nitrogen were the most important factors in shaping the NC10 bacterial structure(p=0.01)based on the variation inflation factors selection and Monte Carlo test(999 times).Results of this study extended the existing molecular tools for studying the NC10 bacterial community structures and provided new information on the ecological distributions of NC10 bacteria. | Sai Xu Wenjing Lu Farooq Mustafa Muhammad Yanting Liu Hanwen Guo Ruihong Meng Hongtao Wang | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,3: | 4 |

| 5 | Mechanism underlying the retarded nuclear translocation of androgen receptor splice variants显示文摘As shown in our previous study, two alternatively spliced androgen receptor(AR) variants, which are exclusively expressed in the granulosa cells of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, exhibit retarded nuclear translocation compared with wild-type AR. However, researchers have not yet determined whether these abnormalities correlate with heat shock protein 90(HSP90)and importin α(the former is a generally accepted co-chaperone of AR, and the latter is a component of classical nuclear import complexes). Here, these two variants were mainly retained in cytoplasm with HSP90 and importin α in the presence of dihydrotestosterone(DHT), and their levels in nucleus were significantly reduced, according to the immunofluorescence staining. The binding affinity of two AR variants for importin α was consistently decreased, while it was increased in WT-AR following DHT stimulation, leading to reduced nuclear import, particularly for the insertion-AR(Ins-AR). However, the binding affinities of two AR variants for HSP90 were increased in the absence of DHT compared with WT-AR, which functioned to maintain spatial structural stability, particularly for the deletion-AR(Del-AR). | 10 | Inhibition of Breast Cancer Resistance Protein(BCRP) by Ko143 Can Affect Pharmacokinetics of Enrofloxacin in Exopalaemon carinicauda显示文摘Adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette transporter breast cancer resistance protein(BCRP) exists highly in the apical membranes of epithelia, and is involved in drug availability. Ko143 is a typical inhibitor of BCRP in rodents. The synthetic antibacterial agent enrofloxacin(ENRO) is a fluoroquinolone employed as veterinary and aquatic medicine, and also a substrate for BCRP. BCRP gene highly expressed in the hepatopancreas and intestine of Exopalaemon carinicauda as was determined with real-time quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-q PCR) method. The effects of Ko143 on the abundance of BCRP m RNA and ENRO pharmacokinetics in E. carinicauda were studied. The m RNA abundance of BCRP decreased significantly in hepatopancreas and intestine(P < 0.05) after Ko143 treatment. Co-administration of Ko143 significantly changed the pharmacokinetics of orally administered enrofloxacin, which was supported by higher distribution half-life(t_(1/2α)), elimination half-life(t_(1/2β)), area under the curve up to the last measurable concentration(AUC_(0-t)), peak concentration(C_(max)) and lower clearance(CL/F). These findings revealed that Ko143 downregulates BCRP expression in hepatopancreas and intestine, thus affects the pharmacokinetics of orally administered enrofloxacin in E. carinicauda. | 16 | From high-yield Ti3AlCN ceramics to high-quality Ti3CNTx MXenes through eliminating Al segregation显示文摘Ti3CNTx MXenes with unique electrical conductivity can be widely applied for supercapacitors and electromagnetic shielding.However,its relatively low-yield quaternary nitrogen-containing Ti3AlCN ce ramics precursor(less than 50%),due to the inevitable Al segregation during the synthesizing process,significantly hindered its widely commercial applications.Herein,we employed the controllable AlNoversaturation precursor strategy to precisely tune the phase transition point of quaternary Ti3AlCN ceramics to obtain high-yield Ti3 AlCN precursor for the purpose of high conductivity Ti3 CNTx MXenes.Combined energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer(XRD)with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)characterizations,the yield of the quaternary nitrogen-containing Ti3 AlCN ceramics was evidently proved to be up to 70%,which is 1.4 times than that of previously reported works.Such relatively highyield quaternary Ti3AlCN is mainly ascribed to the elimination of Al segregation.Based on it,we further developed accordion-like two-dimensional(2D)MXene via hydrofluoric acid etch and vacuum freezedry.This novel accordion-like 2D Ti3CNTx MXene possesses high electrochemical capacitive properties(209 F/g).Therefore,this controllable AlN-oversaturation precursor strategy will pave a way to exploit costly high-yield MAX ceramics precursor for high conductivity MXenes and also play a powerful role in promoting their practical applications including electrical and magnetic engineering fields. | Ningjun Chen Haichao Huang Zhong Xu Yanting Xie Da Xiong Xiang Chu Bingni Gu Bo Zheng Weili Deng Haitao Zhang Weiqing Yang | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,4: | 1 |

| 20 | A New Species of Genus Fomitiporia显示文摘[Objectives] This study aimed to study the morphological characteristics and molecular phylogeny of a new strain collected from rotten wood of sea buckthorn in Yanbei area of Shanxi Province. [Methods]The specimens were observed with naked eyes. With Melzer,cotton blue and 5% KOH as floating carriers,the slices were prepared,which were observed under a microscope. The ITS sequence of the new strain was compared with those of the 20 kinds of reported fungi to construct molecular phylogenetic tree based on ITS. [Results] The new strain has horseshoe-shaped basidiocarp and pileus shape and has no stipe. Sometimes,it grows procumbently and scrolled backward. The mycelial system is monomitic. The skeletal hyphae showed a negative reaction in the Melzer reagent and cotton blue reagent. The basidiospores are subglobose or spherical and colorless with thick wall. The results of molecular phylogenetic analysis showed that the new strain had a close relationship with Fomitiporia spp. and was clustered into the same branch with them. It formed an independent sub-branch in the phylogenetic tree. [Conclusions] The new strain was identified as a new species of Fomitiporia,named as Fomitiporia yanbeiensis S. Guo & L.
