3Covalent organic framework stabilized CdS nanoparticles as efficient visible-light-driven photocatalysts for selective oxidation of aromatic alcohols显示文摘Noble-metal-free photocatalysts with high and stable performance provide an environmentally-friendly and cost-efficient route for green organic synthesis.In this work,CdS nanoparticles with small particle size and different amount were successfully deposited on the surface of covalent organic frameworks(COFs).The deposition of suitable content of CdS on COFs could not only modify the light adsorption ability and the intrinsic electronic properties,but also enhance the photocatalytic activity and cycling performance of CdS for the selective oxidation of aromatic alcohols under visible light.Especially,COF/CdS-3 exhibited the highest yield(97.1%)of benzalde hyde which is approximately 2.5 and 15.9 times as that of parental CdS and COF,respectively.The results show that the combination of CdS and COF can improve the utilization of visible light and the separation of photo-generated charge carriers,and COF with theπ-conjugated system as supports for CdS nanoparticles could provide efficient electron transport channels and improve the photocatalytic performance.Therefore,this kind of COF-supported photocatalysts with accelerated photo-induced electrons and charge-carrier separation between semiconductors possesses great potentials in future green organic synthesis.Kaiyue Zhang Guilong Lu Zuoshuai Xi Yaqiong Li Qingjie Luan Xiubing Huang 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,7:1

5MYC-associated protein X binding with the variant rs72780850 in RNA helicase DEAD box 1 for susceptibility to neuroblastoma显示文摘Neuroblastoma(NB)is one of the most common malignant tumors in children,with variable clinical behaviors and a 15%death rate of all malignancies in childhood.However,genetic susceptibility to sporadic NB in Han Chinese patients is largely unknown.To identify genetic risk factors for NB,we performed an association study on 357 NB patients and 738 control subjects among Han Chinese children.We focused on DEAD box 1(DDX1),a putative RNA helicase,which is involved in NB carcinogenesis.The potential association of DDX1 polymorphisms with NB has not been discovered.Our results demonstrate that rs72780850(NM_004939.2:c.-1555 T>C)located in the DDX1 promoter region is significantly associated with higher expression of DDX1 transcript and increased NB risk(odds ratio=1.64,95%confidence interval=1.03%–2.60%,P=0.004),especially in aggressive NB compared with ganglioneuroma and ganglioneuroblastoma in a dominant model(TC+CC vs.TT).Furthermore,the MYC-associated protein X(MAX)transcription factor showed stronger binding affinity to the DDX1 rs72780850 CC allele compared with the TT allele,explaining the molecular mechanism of the increased NB risk caused by the rs72780850 polymorphism.Our results highlight the involvement of regulatory genetic variants of DDX1 in NB.Yaqiong Jin Jin Shi Huanmin Wang Jie Lu Chenghao Chen Yongbo Yu Yaru Wang Yeran Yang Dong Ren Qi Zeng Xin Ni Yongli Guo 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,6:0
6Assessment of Crop Yield in China Simulated by Thirteen Global Gridded Crop Models显示文摘Global gridded crop models(GGCMs) have been broadly applied to assess the impacts of climate and environmental change and adaptation on agricultural production. China is a major grain producing country, but thus far only a few studies have assessed the performance of GGCMs in China, and these studies mainly focused on the average and interannual variability of national and regional yields. Here, a systematic national-and provincial-scale evaluation of the simulations by13 GGCMs [12 from the GGCM Intercomparison(GGCMI) project, phase 1, and CLM5-crop] of the yields of four crops(wheat, maize, rice, and soybean) in China during 1980–2009 was carried out through comparison with crop yield statistics collected from the National Bureau of Statistics of China. Results showed that GGCMI models generally underestimate the national yield of rice but overestimate it for the other three crops, while CLM5-crop can reproduce the national yields of wheat, maize, and rice well. Most GGCMs struggle to simulate the spatial patterns of crop yields. In terms of temporal variability, GGCMI models generally fail to capture the observed significant increases, but some can skillfully simulate the interannual variability. Conversely, CLM5-crop can represent the increases in wheat, maize, and rice, but works less well in simulating the interannual variability. At least one model can skillfully reproduce the temporal variability of yields in the top-10 producing provinces in China, albeit with a few exceptions. 7Identification of potential pathogenic mutations in Chinese children with first branchial cleft anomalies detected by whole-exome sequencing显示文摘Importance:First branchial cleft anomalies(FBCAs)are rare congenital malformations,accounting for<8%of all branchial cleft anomalies.However,little is currently known about the cause of FBCAs at the molecular level.Objective:To identify genomic alterations related to the genetic etiology of FBCAs in Chinese children.Methods:We performed whole-exome sequencing of samples from 10 pediatric patients with FBCAs.Data analysis was carried out using the Burrow-Wheeler Alignment software package,and the dbSNP database for comparisons.Rare variants were further validated by Sanger sequencing.Insertion/deletions(indels)were examined using the Genome Analysis Toolkit.Results:We identified 14 non-synonymous mutations in seven potential FBCA-susceptibility genes(TRAPPC12,NRP2,NPNT,SH3RF2,RHPN1,TENM4,and ARMCX4).We also detected 133 shared small indels in 125 genes.Gene Ontology analysis indicated that most of the identified genes played critical roles in development and differentiation pathways involved in regulating organ development.Interpretation:We characterized the mutational landscape in pathways involved in development and differentiation in Chinese children with FBCA.The results identified potential pathogenic genes and mutations related to FBCA,and provide molecular-level support for the branchial theory of FBCA pathogenesis.Yeran Yang Wei Liu Yaqiong Jin Min Chen Jie Lu Yongbo Yu Huimin Ren Shujing Han Ping Chu Yongli Guo Jie Zhang Xin Ni 2021Pediatric Investigation2021,5,3:0

9Parameter Sensitivities of the Community Land Model at Two Alpine Sites in the Three-River Source Region显示文摘The three-river source region plays an important role on China’s ecological security and Asia’s water supply. Historically, the region has experienced severe ecological degradation due to climate change and human activities. Reasonable simulations of the energy and water cycles are essential to predict the responses of land surface processes to future climate change. Current land surface models involve empirical functions that are associated with many parameters. These parameter uncertainties will largely affect the simulation when applied to a new domain. The Community Land Model(CLM) is a widely used land surface model, and version 5.0 is the newest version. Compared to the prior version CLM4.5, CLM5.0 has largely updated plant hydraulic and stomatal conductance schemes. How these changes affect parameter sensitivities is unknown. In our work, we tested 17 key parameters in CLM4.5 and 19 parameters in CLM5.0 at two eddy flux sites in the three-river source region: the Maqu and Maduo sites. We adopted the simplest one-at-a-time changes on each parameter and quantified their sensitivities by the parameter effect(PE).We found that the Maqu site was more sensitive to vegetation parameters, while the Maduo site was more sensitive to the initial soil water content in both CLM4.5 and CLM5.0. This is because Maduo grid cell has wetland that does not respond to vegetation parameters in CLM, which may not reflect the reality. Further model development on wetland vegetation parameterization is important. Our validation on the default simulation showed CLM5.0 did not always improve the simulations. The largest difference between CLM5.0 and CLM4.5 was that soil moisture(SM) showed a much stronger decrease in response to a higher leaf area index(LAI) in CLM5.0 than in CLM4.5, suggesting that SM is more sensitive to vegetation changes in CLM5.0.Qi LUO Jun WEN Zeyong HU Yaqiong LU Xianyu YANG 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,4:0
