| 2 | Hydrogen sulfide protects against amyloid beta-peptide induced neuronal injury via attenuating inflammatory responses in a rat model显示文摘Neuroinflammation has been recognized to play a critical role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD), which is pathologically characterized by the accumulation of senile plaques containing activated microglia and amyloid β-peptides (Aβ). In the present study, we examined the neuroprotective effects of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) on neuroinflammation in rats with Aβ1-40 hippocampal injection. We found that Aβ-induced rats exhibited a disorder of pyramidal cell layer arrangement, and a decrease of mean pyramidal cell number in the CA1 hippocampal region compared with those in sham operated rats. NaHS (a donor of H2S, 5.6 mg/kg/d, i.p.) treatment for 3 weeks rescued neuronal cell death significantly. Moreover, we found that H2S dramatically suppressed the release of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 in the hippocampus. Consistently, both immunohistochemistry and Western blotting assays showed that H2S inhibited the upregulation of COX-2 and the activation of NF-κB in the hippocampus. | 3 | Application prospects of high-voltage cathode materials in all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries显示文摘All-solid-state lithium-ion batteries are lithiumion batteries with solid-state electrolytes instead of liquid electrolytes.They are hopeful in solving the safety problems of lithium-ion batteries,once their large capacity and long life are achieved,they will have broad application prospects in the field of electric vehicles and large-scale energy storage.The working potential window of solid electrolytes is wider than that of liquid electrolytes,so high-voltage cathode materials could be used in all-solidstate lithium-ion batteries to get higher energy density and larger capacity by elevating the working voltage of the batteries.The spinel LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4material,layered Li–Ni–Co–Mn–O cathode materials and lithium-rich cathode materials can be expected to be applied to all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries as cathode materials due to their highvoltage platforms.In this review,the electrochemical properties and structures of spinel LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4material,layered Li–Ni–Co–Mn–O cathode materials and lithiumrich cathode materials are introduced.More attentions are paid on recent research progress of conductivity and interface stability of these materials,in order to improve their compatibility with solid electrolytes as cathode materials in all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries and fully improve the properties of all-solid-state batteries.Finally,the existing problems of their application in all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries are summarized,the main research directions are put forward and their application prospects in all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries are discussed. | Jun Tian Yi Jin Yibiao Guan Yuefeng Su Liying Bao Shi Chen Feng Wu | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,17: | 4 |

| 5 | Voice conversion using structured Gaussian mixture model in cepstrum eigenspace显示文摘A new methodology of voice conversion in cepstrum eigenspace based on structured Gaussian mixture model is proposed for non-parallel corpora without joint training.For each speaker,the cepstrum features of speech are extracted,and mapped to the eigenspace which is formed by eigenvectors of its scatter matrix,thereby the Structured Gaussian Mixture Model in the EigenSpace(SGMM-ES)is trained.The source and target speaker's SGMM-ES are matched based on Acoustic Universal Structure(AUS)principle to achieve spectrum transform function.Experimental results show the speaker identification rate of conversion speech achieves95.25%,and the value of average cepstrum distortion is 1.25 which is 0.8%and 7.3%higher than the performance of SGMM method respectively.ABX and MOS evaluations indicate the conversion performance is quite close to the traditional method under the parallel corpora condition.The results show the eigenspace based structured Gaussian mixture model for voice conversion under the non-parallel corpora is effective. | LI Yangchun YU Yibiao | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Acoustics2015,34,3: | 2 |

| 14 | Pattern analysis of schistosomiasis prevalence by exploring predictive modeling in Jiangling County,Hubei Province,P.R.China显示文摘Background:The prevalence of schistosomiasis remains a key public health issue in China.Jiangling County in Hubei Province is a typical lake and marshland endemic area.The pattern analysis of schistosomiasis prevalence in Jiangling County is of significant importance for promoting schistosomiasis surveillance and control in the similar endemic areas.Methods:The dataset was constructed based on the annual schistosomiasis surveillance as well the socio-economic data in Jiangling County covering the years from 2009 to 2013.A village clustering method modified from the K-mean algorithm was used to identify different types of endemic villages.For these identified village clusters,a matrix-based predictive model was developed by means of exploring the one-step backward temporal correlation inference algorithm aiming to estimate the predicative correlations of schistosomiasis prevalence among different years.Field sampling of faeces from domestic animals,as an indicator of potential schistosomiasis prevalence,was carried out and the results were used to validate the results of proposed models and methods.Results:The prevalence of schistosomiasis in Jiangling County declined year by year.The total of 198 endemic villages in Jiangling County can be divided into four clusters with reference to the 5 years’occurrences of schistosomiasis in human,cattle and snail populations.For each identified village cluster,a predictive matrix was generated to characterize the relationships of schistosomiasis prevalence with the historic infection level as well as their associated impact factors.Furthermore,the results of sampling faeces from the front field agreed with the results of the identified clusters of endemic villages.Conclusion:The results of village clusters and the predictive matrix can be regard as the basis to conduct targeted measures for schistosomiasis surveillance and control.Furthermore,the proposed models and methods can be modified to investigate the schistosomiasis prevalence in other regions as well as be used for investigating other parasitic diseases. | Shang Xia Jing-Bo Xue Xia Zhang He-Hua Hu Eniola Michael Abe David Rollinson Robert Bergquist Yibiao Zhou Shi-Zhu Li Xiao-Nong Zhou | 2017 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017,6,1: | 1 |
| 15 | Effects of Firing and Operating Atmospheres on Microstructure and Properties of Phosphate Bonded Cr_2O_3-Al_2O_3-ZrO_2 Bricks显示文摘The microstructure and properties of phosphate bonded Cr_2O_3-Al_2O_3-ZrO_2 specimens fired in air or coke bed were investigated firstly. Then property change of the Cr_2O_3-Al_2O_3-ZrO_2 bricks after secondary treatment in simulation environment was studied. Finally,corrosion resistances of the Cr_2O_3-Al_2O_3-ZrO_2 bricks in air and simulation environment were compared; and microstructure of on-site used Cr_2O_3-Al_2O_3-ZrO_2 bricks in slagging gasifiers was analyzed. The results show that the atmosphere has significant effect on the microstructure and properties of the phosphate bonded Cr_2O_3-Al_2O_3-ZrO_2 bricks. As the specimens are fired in air,the phosphate forms a composite solid solution with Cr_2O_3 and Al_2O_3,therefore,strength of the specimens is enhanced. For specimens fired in coke bed,a certain amount of gases are generated owing to the reduction of phosphate and part of Cr_2O_3,which results in the increasing number and size of the pores,bad interfacial bonding between Cr_2O_3 aggregates and matrix as well as low strength of the specimens. | 18 | Ultra-wide tuning single channel filter based on one-dimensional photonic crystal with an air cavity显示文摘By inserting an air cavity into a one-dimensional photonic crystal of LiF/GaSb, a tunable filter covering the whole visible range is proposed. Following consideration of the dispersion of the materials, through modulating the thickness of the air cavity, we demonstrate that a single resonant peak can shift from 416.1 to 667.3 nm in the band gap at normal incidence by means of the transfer matrix method. The research also shows that the transmittance of the channel can be maximized when the number of periodic Li F/Ga Sb layers on one side of the air defect layer is equal to that of the other side. When adding a period to both sides respectively, the full width at half maximum of the defect mode is reduced by one order of magnitude.
