1Study of tribological properties of ecofriendly lubricant additives derived from leaf-surface waxes显示文摘Three kinds of leaf-surface waxes are extracted from the leaves of Euonymus japonicas(EJ), Sabina chinensis(SC) and Sabina procumbens(SP) to be tested for their tribological properties. Lubricating oils containing these 3 waxes respectively were analyzed via gas chromatography-mass spectrometer(GC-MS) for their chemical constituents and tested with friction and wear testing machine and time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry(TOF-SIMS) for the tribological mechanism. It was found that all the tested cuticular wax can reduce the coefficient of friction, and the waxes of SC and EJ can reduce the wear width. The contents of acid and esters in the wax can improve the friction reducing property by forming tribochemical films on the metal, but result in the increase of wear due to corrosion. 2Non-invasive measurement and validation of tissue oxygen saturation covered with overlying tissues显示文摘In this paper, the biological tissue oxygen saturation (rSO2) is obtained non-invasively and in real time based on near infrared spec-troscopy (NIRS) using two emitting wavelengths and two detectors, where the tissue is covered with overlying tissues.Our group devel-oped an NIRS oximeter based on the above principle independently, and validated it using liquid tissue model calibrations and animal experiments.The results indicate that (1) in the normal range of tissue oxygen saturation (40-70%), the rSO2 measured by NIRS is accu-rate enough and little infiuenced by the background absorptions (such as the absorption of water) and overlying tissues (such as fat);(2) during cerebral hypoxia and recovery of three piglets, there is excellent correlation (p < 0.001) between cerebral rSO2 and jugular venous oxygen saturation (SjO2), meaning that the rSO2 can be indicated by the SjO2 to a large extent;during the death of the three piglets induced by heart beat stopping, cerebral rSO2 decreases continuously to significantly low levels (<25%) because cerebral blood supply does not exist any more.All the above results are of explicit physiological importance.Yichao Teng Haishu Ding Lan Huang Yue Li Quanzhong Shan Datian Ye Haiyan Ding Jenchung Chien Betau Hwang 2008Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2008,18,9:1
