| 1 | Tribological properties of conductive lubricating greases显示文摘Three kinds of new conductive lubricating greases were prepared using lithium ionic liquids as the base oil and the polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)as the thickener.These lithium ionic liquids([Li(PEG)X])were obtained by blending lithium salts(LiBF4,LiPF6 and LiNTf2)with poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)because lithium salts have an extremely high solubility in PEG.The conductivities and contact resistances of the prepared lubricating greases were investigated using the DDSJ‐308A conductivity meter and the reciprocating ball‐on‐disk UMT‐2MT sliding tester.In addition,their tribological properties were investigated in detail.Scanning electron microscopy and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy were employed to explore the friction mechanisms.The results suggest that the prepared lubricating greases have high conductivities and excellent tribological properties.The high conductivities are attributed to ion diffusion or migration of the lithium ionic liquids with an external electric field,and the excellent tribological properties depend on the formation of boundary protective films. | Xiaoqiang FAN Yanqiu XIA Liping WANG | 2014 | Friction2014,2,4: | 10 |

| 4 | Conductive grease synthesized using nanometer ATO as an additive显示文摘A new conductive grease was synthesized using a nanometer powder,i.e.,Sb doped SnO2(ATO),as an additive.The typical properties of this new conductive grease were investigated in detail.The results indicate that ATO can dramatically improve the dropping point and reduce contact resistance.The tribological properties of the new conductive grease were investigated using the MFT-R4000 reciprocating friction and wear tester.The tribol-test results indicate that ATO can dramatically improve the tribological properties of the grease.When the ATO concentration is 0.1wt%,the grease demonstrates the best friction reduction properties;when the concentration is 0.5wt%,the grease demonstrates the best anti-wear properties.The worn surfaces were observed and analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,and the friction mechanisms for the new conductive grease are proposed.The excellent tribological properties of the new conductive grease are attributed to the mechanical effect of ATO,and the film formed by Sn and Sb elements or metallic oxide deposited on worn surfaces during the friction process. | Xiangyu GE Yanqiu XIA Zongying SHU Xiaopei ZHAO | 2015 | Friction2015,3,1: | 6 |

| 9 | Tribological application and mechanism of epicuticular wax显示文摘The plant cuticle is a complex mixture of omnipresent, commonly monofunctional, fatty acid derivatives and taxon-specific, generally bifunctional, specialty compounds. This study explored expanded applications for these substances. Four types of plant cuticles were distilled from leaves and the resulting lipid mixtures were analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. These were then used as additives for a synthetic ester lubricant. A reciprocating friction and wear testing machine was utilized to investigate the resulting tribological properties. The worn surfaces of the lower discs were observed and analyzed using optical microscopy and time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry. The results reveal that cuticular waxes can modify the friction properties of the base oil. Furthermore, cuticular waxes demonstrate better performance when compared to the commercially available additive molybdenum dithiocarbamates. A protective adsorption film was identified as the reason for the improved friction reduction and anti-wear properties of the lubricant on the friction pair. | 10 | Study of tribological properties of ecofriendly lubricant additives derived from leaf-surface waxes显示文摘Three kinds of leaf-surface waxes are extracted from the leaves of Euonymus japonicas(EJ), Sabina chinensis(SC) and Sabina procumbens(SP) to be tested for their tribological properties. Lubricating oils containing these 3 waxes respectively were analyzed via gas chromatography-mass spectrometer(GC-MS) for their chemical constituents and tested with friction and wear testing machine and time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry(TOF-SIMS) for the tribological mechanism. It was found that all the tested cuticular wax can reduce the coefficient of friction, and the waxes of SC and EJ can reduce the wear width. The contents of acid and esters in the wax can improve the friction reducing property by forming tribochemical films on the metal, but result in the increase of wear due to corrosion. | 12 | Metal-organic framework derived multi-functionalized and co-doped TiO_(2)/C nanocomposites for excellent visible-light photocatalysis显示文摘Multi-functionalized and co-doped TiO_(2)/C nanocomposites were derived from the pyrolysis of Ti-MOFs at 800℃under different gaseous atmospheres and their photocatalytic performance were investigated.The gaseous atmosphere during pyrolysis plays a critical role in determining the structural,textural,optical and physicochemical properties of the derived TiO_(2)/C composites due to the synergistic effect of nitrogen-containing species,carboxylate and sulfur functionalized porous carbon as well as N/S co-doped TiO_(2)nanoparticles.All the Ti-MOFs derived TiO_(2)/C composites exclusively possess homogeneously distributed TiO_(2)nanoparticles in a functionalized disc-like porous carbon matrix and demonstrate much enhanced adsorption and photodegradation performance than commercial TiO_(2)under the same conditions.The adsorption of methylene blue(MB)in dark on these TiO_(2)/C composites are dominated with pseudo second-order kinetic model and the high adsorption capacity of MB in dark on composite TiO_(2)/C derived from MIL-125(Ti)in argon is due to its high surface area with predominant mesoporous carbon matrix in the composite.The composite N-O-TiO_(2)/C derived from NH2-MIL-125(Ti)in water vapor exhibited the highest photodegradation activity with 99.7%MB removal in 3 h under visible light due to the optimal anatase/rutile phasejunction,together with the formation of photoactive oxygen-rich N-O like interstitial/intraband states above the valence band of TiO_(2),as well as the presence of N-containing species and-OH/-COOH multi-functional groups with superhydrophilic nature of the composite.This simple one-step and easily modifiable approach can be further employed to modulate homogeneously dispersed multi-functionalized and co-doped metal oxide/carbon nanocomposites for various environment and energy-related applications. | Mian Zahid Hussain Zhuxian Yang Ahmed M.E.Khalil Shahzad Hussain Saif Ullah Awan Quanli Jia Roland A.Fischer Yanqiu Zhu Yongde Xia | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,6: | 3 |
