Mapping and validation of the epistatic D and P genes controlling anthocyanin biosynthesis in the peel of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) fruit显示文摘Fruit color is an important trait inf luencing the commercial value of eggplant fruits.Three dominant genes(D,P and Y)cooperatively control the anthocyanin coloration in eggplant fruits, but none has been mapped. In this study, two white-fruit accessions(19141 and 19147)and their F2 progeny, with 9:7 segregation ratio of anthocyanin pigmented versus non-pigmented fruits, were used for mapping the D and P genes.A high-density genetic map was constructed with 5270 SNPs spanning 1997.98 cM.Three QTLs were identified, including two genes on chromosome 8 and one on chromosome 10.Gene expression analyses suggested that the SmANS on chromosome 8 and SmMYB1 on chromosome 10 were the putative candidate genes for P and D,respectively. We further identified(1)a SNP leading to a premature stop codon within the conserved PLN03176 domain of SmANS in 19141,(2)a G base InDel in the promoter region leading to an additional cis-regulatory element and(3)a 6-bp InDel within the R2-MYB DNA binding domain of SmMYB1,in 19147.Subsequently,these three variations were validated by PARMS technology as related to phenotypes in the F2 population. Moreover, silencing of SmANS or SmMYB1 in the purple red fruits of F1(E3316)led to inhibition of anthocyanin biosynthesis in the peels.Conversely, overexpression of SmANS or SmMYB1 restored anthocyanin biosynthesis in the calli of 19141 and 19147 respectively. Our findings demonstrated the epistatic interactions underlying the white color of eggplant fruits, which can be potentially applied to breeding of eggplant fruit peel color.Qian You Huimin Li Jun Wu Tao Li Yikui Wang Guangwen Sun Zhiliang Li Baojuan Sun 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,2:2
A Two-stage Peer-to-peer Energy Trading Model for Distribution Systems with Participation of Utility显示文摘With the growing penetration of distributed energy resources(DER)in distribution systems, the traditional utility dominated tariff-based business model may no longer meet the need for further development. As a result, the transformation from the traditional tariff-based business model to the emerging peer-to-peer energy trading model has been acknowledged by researchers and policy makers. In this paper,a two-stage peer-to-peer energy trading model is proposed while considering the role of the utility.Specifically, energy transactions between buyers and sellers are optimized in the first stage;the cleared transactions are submitted to the utility for approval in the second stage, which solves a transaction approval model to verify the transactions from the perspective of secure system operations.Indeed, certain transactions mav be disapproved to ensure that all network constraints, such as voltage and line flow limitations, are satisfied. In addition,a comprehensive trading tariff is designed to recover the hidden costs of the utility, such as those associated with network usage, system losses, and ancillary service provision.A modified 33-bus distribution system is adopted to verify the proposed model.Yikui Liu Lei Wu Jie Li 2021CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2021,7,5:1

RIN enhances plant disease resistance via root exudate-mediated assembly of diseasesuppressive rhizosphere microbiota显示文摘The RIPENING-INHIBITOR(RIN)transcriptional factor is a key regulator governing fruit ripening. While RIN also affects other physiological processes, its potential roles in triggering interactions with the rhizosphere microbiome and plant health are unknown. Here we show that RIN affects microbiome-mediated disease resistance via root exudation, leading to recruitment of microbiota that suppress the soil-borne,phytopathogenic Ralstonia solanacearum bacterium.Compared with the wild-type(WT)plant,RIN mutants had different root exudate profiles, which were associated with distinct changes in microbiome composition and diversity.Specifically, the relative abundances of antibiosis-associated genes and pathogensuppressing Actinobacteria(Streptomyces)were clearly lower in the rhizosphere of rin mutants. The composition, diversity, and suppressiveness of rin plant microbiomes could be restored by the application of 3-hydroxyflavone and riboflavin, which were exuded in much lower concentrations by the rin mutant.Interestingly,RIN-mediated effects on root exudates,Actinobacteria, and disease suppression were evident from the seedling stage, indicating that RIN plays a dual role in the early assembly of diseasesuppressive microbiota and late fruit development.Collectively, our work suggests that, while plant disease resistance is a complex trait driven by interactions between the plant, rhizosphere microbiome, and the pathogen,it can be indirectly manipulated using'prebiotic'compounds that promote the recruitment of disease-suppressive microbiota.Keming Yang Ruixin Fu Haichao Feng Gaofei Jiang Omri Finkel Tianyu Sun Mingchun Liu Baowen Huang Shan Li Xiaofang Wang Tianjie Yang Yikui Wang Shimei Wang Yangchun Xu Qirong Shen Ville-Petri Friman Alexandre Jousset Zhong Wei 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,9:0
Recent advances in magnetic targeting based on high magnetic field and magnetic particles显示文摘In the past few decades, the multifunctional magnetic drug carrier based on the magnetic nanoparticles and high magnetic field has been intensively researched. The magnetic drug carrier can be targeted to the tumour area not only by the chemical protocol but also by the physical one(external field). In this review, the authors first briefly discuss the fabrication process of magnetic drug carriers, which includes the synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles, fabrication of magnetic drug carriers and conjugation of anti-tumour agents. Then different targeted protocols have been summarised, including passive targeting, biochemical active targeting and biophysical active targeting namely magnetic targeting(MT).Multiple MT results both in vitro and in vivo are introduced,in which two unconventional cases are emphasised and described. The first MT clinical research with 14 peoples was performed in the last century.A 0.5–0.8 T permanent magnet was attached to the tumour area when magnetic particles conjugated with epirubicin were injected. The side effect of epirubicin had been decreased, and the four patients showed the decreasing of a tumour which proved the feasibility of MT.Different from other targeting protocols,MT needs an extra external magnetic field. So various types of MT instruments have been shown in the final part of this review, including a single strong magnetic field, homemade electronic solenoid coil assay and commercial magnetic resonance imaging.Zili Zhang Ping He Jinyan Zhang Yikui Li Qiuliang Wang 2017High Voltage2017,2,4:0
Effects of Solanum lycopersicum Rootstock Grafting on Tomato Resistance and Quality显示文摘[Objectives] This experiment was carried out to explore the effects of Solanum lycopersicum rootstock grafting on tomato resistance and quality. [Methods]6 different S. lycopersicum rootstocks were used to graft ‘Guihong 2' tomato. The grafting affinity was better and the resistance to bacterial wilt was higher.[Results]S. lycopersicum rootstock grafting may reduce the tomato, but it can improve the taste and endogenous quality of tomato. Besides, soluble solids, soluble sugars,Vc content, and sugar-acid ratio were all significantly higher than that of the control group. [Conclusions] S. lycopersicum rootstock y11,53,and 177 grafting can increase Vc,soluble solids, and sugar-acid ratio of tomato fruit,so they are optimal rootstocks for tomato grafting.Guiyun GAN Kouhua YU Yaqin JIANG Yongcheng MO Wenjia LI Yongguan WU Yan LI Dexian KANG Yikui WANG 2018Agricultural Biotechnology2018,7,5:0
Wind pressure acting on greenhouses: A review显示文摘Greenhouses are widely used in agricultural and horticultural production. With the characteristics of lightweight, small stiffness and high flexibility, greenhouses are sensitive to wind loads. In the calculation of wind loads, the wind pressure coefficient(Cp)is essential. The rationality of the value directly affects the safety and economy of greenhouses. Therefore, the Cp values estimation is one of the most important issues in the design of greenhouses. In order to make full use of the existing research results,in this study, three main methods for estimating Cp values were analyzed,namely,full-scale field experiment, wind tunnel experiment and numerical simulation.Five factors influencing the Cp values were then reviewed including greenhouse design parameters, greenhouse group, overhanging eaves, ventilation and wind direction.Based on the existing researches, suggestions for future development and research work were also put forward.Owing to the flexibility and deformability of greenhouses, the fluid-solid coupling method should be used to analyze the effects of vibrations on wind pressures. The interaction of building parameters(such as the number of spans, ridge height, roof shape and slope angle)and terrain around the greenhouse should be taken into consideration comprehensively. The destructive vortices occurred on the greenhouse should be further investigated.Cong Wang Bo Nan Tieliang Wang Yikui Bai Yuqing Li 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,2:0
