Changes and clinical significance of BDNF and MMP9 be-fore and after treatment of depressive episode显示文摘Objective:to explore brain-derived neu-rotrophic factor(BDNF)and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP9)messenger in peripheral blood lymphocytes of patients with depressive episodes before and after anti-depressant treatment changes in RNA(mRNA)expres-sion levels. Methods:fifteen patients hospitalized with depression in the Afiliated Mental Hospital of Kunming Medical University from December 2021 to June 2022 were collected as research objects. After 4 weeks of anti-depressant treatment,BDNF mRNA and MMP9 mRNA in patients with depression were detected before and af-ter treatment, and statistically analyzed. Results:after 4 weeks of antidepressant treatment, there was no signif-icant difference in BDNF mRNA expression level after treatment compared with before treatment(P>0.05).The mRNA level of MMP9 was higher than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:antidepressant therapy increases the expression of MMP9 mRNA,increasing the conver-sion of BDNF precursor(proBDNF)to mature for BDNF(mBDNF)to relieve depressive symptoms, and the total content of BDNF did not change significantly.Zhian Yang Lan Jiang Tiankai Jiang Yuhang Liang Tiantian Jiang Yinhang Li Changqing Gao 2022Journal of Translational Neuroscience2022,7,2:0
Research progress on brain-derived neurotrophic factor and non-suicidal self-injury addictive behavior associated with depressive disorders in adolescents显示文摘In recent years,non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)behavior has emerged in a large number of adoles-cent depression.NSSI associated with adolescent depres-sion may be an addictive behavior, which has many sim-ilar neurobiological mechanisms to substance addiction.Brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)and precursor of BDNF(proBDNF)play an important role in addiction behavior, and they may be related to endogenous opioid receptors. The location and distribution of opioidμre-ceptors in the brain are related to reward, motivation and emotion regulated by behavioral addiction. The purpose of this paper is to review the general situation, mechanism and relationship between the characteristics of NSSI be-havior addiction and brain-derived nutritional factors in adolescents with depression.Lan Jiang Tiankai Jiang Tiantian Jiang Yuhang Liang Yinhang Li Jiepeng Lei 2022Journal of Translational Neuroscience2022,7,3:0
Research progress on whether BDNF can be used as a predictive biomarkerfor suicidal behavior显示文摘In recent years, the serious social phe-nomenon of suicide has been of great concern to society and academia. However, the study and early risk assess-ment of suicide have been limited by multiple aspects. Therefore, researchers have started to search for a reliable marker for early diagnosis of suicide risk, and one of the widely studied neurotransmitters associated with suicide is the brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF).This re-view aims to summarize the current scientific knowledge on the relevance of BDNF and psychiatric disorders to suicide and to infer whether neurotrophic factors could be a reliable marker for early diagnosis of suicide risk.Based on the results of these studies,a link between BDNF and suicide may exist and act independently of mental illness. However, there is still controversy and further studies may provide researchers with useful information.Tiantian Jiang Yinhang Li Yuhang Liang Tiankai Jiang Ming Mo 2022Journal of Translational Neuroscience2022,7,3:0
Advances in the prediction of biological markers of alcohol dependence relapse显示文摘Alcohol dependence is a chronic and re-lapsing disease that causes mental and organ damage due to long-term heavy drinking, which has serious adverse effccts on individuals and socicty.Previous studics have shown that even after inpatient treatment, the relapse rate of alcohol-dependent patients can be as high as 60%-70%within 3 months after discharge.Currently, the mecha-nisms associated with relapse to drinking in alcohol-dependent patients are still unclear. And most of the studies reported in the past have been about the relationship between psychosocial factors and relapse to drinking, while few studies have examined the relationship between bi-ological indicators and relapse to drinking. Therefore,in this paper,we summarize the recent literature to explore the biological markers related to alcohol dependence relapse and discuss the progress of research on relapse pre-diction,in order to provide reference and help to reduce the relapse rate and improve the quality of life of patients.Yinhang Li Tiantian Jiang Tiankai Jiang Yuhang Liang Li Wu 2022Journal of Translational Neuroscience2022,7,4:0
Phenobarbital in the treatment of alcohol withdrawal syndrome显示文摘Alcohol withdrawal syndrome(AWS)is a serious disorder affecting alcohol-dependent patients who abruptly stop or reduce their drinking.Mild or moderate AWS usually appears within 6 to 24 h after the last drink, and symptoms may include increased blood pressure and rapid pulse, tremors, high fever, irritability, anxiety, headache, nausea, and vomiting. These symptoms may progress to a more severe AWS characterized by delirium tremens, seizures, coma, cardiac arrest, and death. This article will analyze the phenobarbital(PB)treatment of AWS and make a brief review'.Tiankai Jiang Lan Jiang Yinhang Li Yuhang Liang Tiantian Jiang Hongyan Liu 2022Journal of Translational Neuroscience2022,7,4:0
Research progress on benzodiazepines to treat alcohol withdrawal syndrome显示文摘Alcohol withdrawal syndrome(AWS)refers to a series of symptoms and signs that chronic al-coholics experience when they suddenly stop drinking or reduce their drinking, usually 12 to 24 h later. These in-clude tremors, fatigue, sweating, hyperreflexia, and gas-trointestinal symptoms. This article will analyze the drug treatment of this disease and make a brief review.Tiankai Jiang Yuhang Liang Lan Jiang Yinhang Li Tiantian Jiang Ye Ruan 2022Journal of Translational Neuroscience2022,7,4:0
Heteronanostructural metal oxide-based gas microsensors显示文摘The development of high-performance,portable and miniaturized gas sensors has aroused increasing interest in the fields of environmental monitoring, security, medical diagnosis, and agriculture.Among different detection tools, metal oxide semiconductor(MOS)-based chemiresistive gas sensors are the most popular choice in commercial applications and have the advantages of high stability, low cost, and high sensitivity. One of the most important ways to further enhance the sensor performance is to construct MOS-based nanoscale heterojunctions(heteronanostructural MOSs)from MOS nanomaterials. However, the sensing mechanism of heteronanostructural MOS-based sensors is different from that of single MOS-based gas sensors in that it is fairly complex. The performance of the sensors is influenced by various parameters, including the physical and chemical properties of the sensing materials(e.g.,grain size, density of defects, and oxygen vacancies of materials),working temperatures, and device structures. This review introduces several concepts in the design of high-performance gas sensors by analyzing the sensing mechanism of heteronanostructural MOS-based sensors. In addition, the influence of the geometric device structure determined by the interconnection between the sensing materials and the working electrodes is discussed. To systematically investigate the sensing behavior of the sensor, the general sensing mechanism of three typical types of geometric device structures based on different heteronanostructural materials are introduced and discussed in this review. This review will provide guidelines for readers studying the sensing mechanism of gas sensors and designing high-performance gas sensors in the future.Lin Liu Yingyi Wang Yinhang Liu Shuqi Wang Tie Li Simin Feng Sujie Qin Ting Zhang 2022Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,4:0
Research progress on the mechanism of N6-methylade-nosine methylation modification and proteolipid protein 1 gene in schizophrenia显示文摘Schizophrenia (SCZ) is a serious mental illness with unknown etiology, high recurrence rate and high disability rate, which has caused a great burden to individuals and society. There is no clear etiology and pathogenesis. Methylation of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) can regulate the nervous and mental system, and affect the function of the nervous system. Proteolipid protein 1 (PLP1) is a risk gene for schizophrenia. In this study we review the research progress on the pathogenesis of schizophrenia, m6A methylation, and PLP1 gene.Zhilan Yang Hongying Pan Lan Jiang Tiankai Jiang Yinhang Li Jie Wu 2022Journal of Translational Neuroscience2022,7,1:0
