| 1 | Reinforced polysulfide barrier by g-C_(3)N_(4)/CNT composite towards superior lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘The notorious shuttle effect has long been obstructing lithium-sulfur(Li-S) batteries from yielding the expected high energy density and long lifespan.Herein,we develop a multifunctional polysulfide barrier reinforced by the graphitic carbon nitride/carbon nanotube(g-C_3 N_4/CNT) composite toward inhibited shuttling behavior and improved battery performance.The obtained g-C_3 N_4 delivers a unique spongelike architecture with massive ion transfer pathways and fully exposed active interfaces,while the abundant C-N heteroatomic structures impose strong chemical immobilization toward lithium polysulfides.Combined with the highly conductive agent,the g-C_3 N_4/CNT reinforced separator is endowed with great capability of confining and reutilizing the active sulfur within the cathode,thus contributing to an efficient and stable sulfur electrochemistry.Benefiting from these synergistic attributes,Li-S cells based on g-C_3 N_4/CNT separator exhibit an excellent cyclability with a minimum decay rate of 0.03% per cycle over 500 cycles and decent rate capability up to 2 C.Moreover,a high areal capacity of 7.69 mAh cm^(-2)can be achieved under a raised sulfur loading up to 10.1 mg cm^(-2).demonstrating a facile and efficient pathway toward superior Li-S batteries. | Xiangliang Wang Gaoran Li Minjie Li Ruiping Liu Haibo Li Tengyu Li Mingzhu Sun Yirui Deng Ming Feng Zhongwei Chen | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,2: | 4 |
| 2 | Prolonged propagation of rat neural stem cells relies on inhibiting autocrine/paracrine bone morphogenetic protein and platelet derived growth factor signals显示文摘Continuous expansion of rat neural stem cell lines has not been achieved due to proliferation arrest and spontaneous differentiation in vitro. In the current study, neural precursor cells derived from the subventricular zone of adult rats spontaneously underwent astroglial and oligodendroglial differentiation after limited propagation. This differentiation was largely induced by autocrine or paracrine bone morphogenetic protein and platelet derived growth factor signals. The results showed that, by inhibiting bone morphogenetic protein and platelet derived growth factor signals, adult rat neural precursor cells could be extensively cultured in vitro as tripotent stem cell lines. In addition to adult rat neural stem cells, we found that bone morphogenetic protein antagonists can promote the proliferation of human neural stem cells. Therefore, the present findings illustrated the role of autocrine or paracrine bone morphogenetic protein and platelet derived growth factor signaling in determining neural stem cell self-renewal and differentiation. | 3 | BIG1 mediates sepsis-induced lung injury by modulating lipid raft-dependent macrophage inflammatory responses显示文摘Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory response syndrome with high mortality.It has been reported that brefeldin A-inhibited guanine nucleotide-exchange factor 1(BIG1)is involved in the pathogenesis of sepsis.However,the mechanism is not fully elucidated.In the present study,we explored the role of BIG1 in mediating lipid raft-dependent macrophage inflammatory response and its impact on lung injury in murine sepsis.In vitro studies revealed that BIG1 deficiency reduces the upregulation and secretion of tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),and IL-1β and inhibits the activation of the toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/myeloid differentiation primary response 88-dependent nuclear factor kappa-B signaling pathway induced by the lipopolysaccha-ride(LPS)treatment.Further experiments revealed that the inhibitory effects of BIG1 deficiency on LPS-induced inflammation are due to the upregulation of adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette transporter A1.This promotes the free-cholesterol efflux from lipid rafts and results in the reduction of lipid raft TLR4 content.The decrease in TLR4 content in lipid raft thereby inhibits the LPS-induced inflammatory response.Furthermore,using the cecal ligation and puncture-induced polymicrobial sepsis mouse model,we found that conditional knockout(cKO)of the myeloid cell BIG1 significantly reduced the serum concentrations of TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-1β,and downregulated their mRNA expressions in the lungs.Pathological analysis confirmed that the BIG1 cKO alleviated the sepsis-induced lung injury.These results revealed the crucial new role of BIG1 in mediating lipid raft-dependent macrophage inflammatory response.Hence,BIG1 may be a potential promising therapeutic target for the treatment of septic lung injury. | Minli Sun Xiaodan Han Di Zhou Jing Zhong Lixin Liu Yirui Wang Jiahui Ni Xiaoyan Shen Chao Liang Hao Fang | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,8: | 1 |
| 4 | Disseminated intravascular coagulation scores as predictors for progressive hemorrhage and neurological prognosis following traumatic brain injury显示文摘Coagulation abnormalities,such as disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC),are associated with progressive hemorrhagic injury(PHI)following head trauma.However,the exact relationship between coagulopathy and PHI remains unclear.The present study utilized a scoring system defined by the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis to investigate whether a high DIC score is predictive for PHI.This study was a multicenter prospective design involving four hospitals,a 6-month observation,and follow-up.Of 352 traumatic brain injury(TBI)patients,serial CT scan indicated approximately one third of patients developed progressive hemorrhage,which was most frequently observed in the frontal,temporal,and orbitofrontal lobes of patients with brain contusion.PHI-positive patients exhibited poor prognosis,as indicated by prolonged length of hospital/intensive care unit stay and high mortality.More importantly,a DIC score after TBI,as well as patient age and sex,could serve as predictors for PHI.In addition,DIC scores were closely associated with injury severity.Therefore,the DIC scoring system facilitated early PHI diagnosis in TBI patients,and DIC scores might serve as a valuable predictor for TBI patients with PHI. | Yirui Sun Caihua Xi Ersong Wang Jianqing Wang Yong Liu Hua Liu Qiang Yuan Haijun Yao Liangfu Zhou Jin Hu | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,2: | 1 |
| 5 | Diagnosing the environmental impacts of typical fatliquors in leather manufacture from life cycle assessment perspective显示文摘The environmental impacts of typical fatliquors were diagnosed by the life cycle assessment of industrial production and use(post-tanning)processes.Life cycle impact assessment and sensitivity analysis showed that fatliquor and fatliquoring operation were the major contributors to the environmental impacts of post-tanning because a large amount of fatliquors was consumed during fatliquoring operation.The environmental impacts of fatliquors decreased in the following order:chlorinated paraffin(CP)>sulfonated rape oil(SNR)>sulfated rape oil(SR)>phosphated rape oil(PR)>oxidized-sulfited rape oil(OSR).Sulfuric acid,fuming sulfuric acid,and chlorine used for fatliquor modification gave the main contribution to most impact categories for SR,SNR,and CP production,whereas rape oil contributed the most for PR and OSR production.OSR use process reduced the primary energy demand,abiotic depletion potential,and global warming potential by 38.5%,56.0%,and 48.5%,respectively,compared with CP use process.These results suggested that biomass-derived fatliquors,especially oxidized-sulfited and phosphate modified fatiliquors,helped reduce the environmental burdens in leather manufacturing. | Yue Yu Qingyong Sun Yunhang Zeng Yirui Lin Ya-nan Wang Bi Shi | 2022 | Journal of Leather Science and Engineering2022,4,1: | 0 |
