1Zircon U-Pb dating for the earliest Neoproterozoic mafic magmatism in the southern margin of the North China Block显示文摘Huge diabase occurs within the Pro- terozoic strata in the southern margin of the North China Block, geographically in the northern parts of Anhui and Jiangsu provinces, where no strata younger than Neoproterozoic have been found. Zir- cons from the diabase show three different structures from cathodoluminesecence imaging, but they are all of magmatic origin. SHRIMP U-Pb dating yields a range of 206Pb/238U ages from 2600 to 124 Ma, but two geological events can clearly be identified from both concordant and discordant ages. One gives two weighted mean 207Pb/206Pb ages of 976 ± 24 and 1038 ± 26 Ma which are interpreted as timing of dia- base crystallization, and the other has a weighted mean 207Pb/206Pb age of 2523 ± 52 Ma that repre- sents formation time of inherited zircon from the old crust. The dating results indicate that the mafic magmatic event occurred in a transition period from the latest Mesoproterozoic to the earliest Neopro- terozoic, consistent with global subduction of Grenvill ocean crust to result in the assembly of superconti- nent Rodinia. 2A new discovery of macroscopic fossils from the Ediacaran Doushantuo Formation in the Yangtze Gorges area显示文摘Two new horizons with macroscopic fossils are reported in the Doushantuo Formation, Ediacaran System, from the Yangtze Gorges area. The fossils were discovered in the lower and middle black shales of the Doushantuo Formation in the new section at Sandouping Town, Zigui County, Hubei Province. The new macroscopic assemblages in- clude Chuaria and Tawuia, and occur below the well- known ”Miaohe Biota”. These fossils indicate that after the Nantuo ice age, macroscopic multicellular organisms gradually increased in abundance and diversity. Simple, discoidal carbonaceous compres- sions such as chuarids are present in the initial macrofossil assemblage of the Doushantuo Stage. This assemblage was eventually replaceded by the more diverse Miaohe macrofossils, including unam- biguously branching forms, in the uppermost Dou- shantuo Formation. 3U-Pb zircon age for the Daohugou Biota at Ningcheng of Inner Mongolia and comments on related issues显示文摘SHRIMP U-Pb zircon dating was carried out for the Daohugou Biota near Ningcheng of Inner Mongolia and for lavas overlying or underlying sala-mander-bearing strata at Reshuitang in Lingyuan of West Liaoning. The results suggest that the Dao- hugou Biota occurred at an interval from 168 Ma to 164―152 Ma. Both the Daohugou Biota and the salamander-bearing fossil assemblage are the same biota and thus developed from 168 to 152 Ma, i.e. from late Middle Jurassic to the early Late Jurassic. The Daohugou Biota-bearing rocks, resting on the Jiulongshan Formation in disconformity and being overlain in unconformity by Late Jurassic Tuchengzi Formation and Early Cretaceous rocks containing the Jehol Biota, are mainly composed of volcanic-sedi- mentary rocks in a normal sequence. It is recom- mended that the Daohugou Biota and the related stratigraphy should be correlated with the Tiaojishan Formation (Lanqi Formation in West Liaoning) or its synchronous rocks. It is suggested that the Dao- hugou Biota and the Jehol Biota would be neither taken into one biota nor considered as the earliest elements of the Jehol Biota. 5Estimation of wind erosion rates by using ^(137)Cs tracing technique:A case study in Tariat-Xilin Gol transect, Mongolian Plateau显示文摘Wind erosion is one of the major environmental problems in semi-arid and arid regions. Here we es- tablished the Tariat-Xilin Gol transect from northwest to southeast across the Mongolian Plateau, and selected seven sampling sites along the transect. We then estimated the soil wind erosion rates by using the ^(137)Cs tracing technique and examined their spatial dynamics. Our results showed that the ^(137)Cs inventories of sampling sites ranged from 265.63±44.91 to 1279.54±166.53 Bq·m^(-2), and the wind erosion rates varied from 64.58 to 419.63 t·km^(-2)·a^(-1) accordingly. In the Mongolia section of the transect (from Tariat to Sainshand), the wind erosion rate increased gradually with vegetation type and climatic regimes; the wind erosion process was controlled by physical factors such as annual precipitation and vegetation coverage, etc., and the impact of human activities was negligible. While in the China section of the transect (Inner Mongolia), the wind erosion rates of Xilin Hot and Zhengxiangbai Banner were thrice as much as those of Bayannur of Mongolia, although these three sites were all dominated by typical steppe. 7Control scheme of hexagonal modular multilevel direct converter for offshore wind power integration via fractional frequency transmission system显示文摘A fractional frequency transmission system(FFTS)is a promising solution to offshore wind power integration,for which the hexagonal modular multilevel converter(Hexverter)is an attractive choice for power conversion.The Hexverter has recently been proposed to directly connect two three-phase systems of different frequencies and voltage amplitudes,with only six branches in the FFTS in that case.This paper examines for the first time the control scheme of the Hexverter when applied to offshore wind power integration via a FFTS.Firstly,the frequency-decoupled mathematical model of the Hexverter is deduced by introducing the double dq transformation.Then the branch energy of the Hexverter is analyzed in detail and the reactive power constraint equation is obtained.The corresponding control scheme is thoroughly discussed,including the inner loop current control,the outer loop voltage control in both grid-connected mode and passive mode,and a novel optimization method to minimize the circulating current in the Hexverter.Finally,a simulation model of offshore wind power integration via a 4-terminal FFTS based on the Hexverter is built in MATALB/Simulink to verify the feasibility of Hexverter and the effectiveness of the control scheme proposed in this paper.Yongqing MENG Bo LIU Huiyong LUO Shuonan SHANG Haitao ZHANG Xifan WANG 2018Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2018,6,1:12
8Neoproterozoic Molar-tooth Structure and Constraint of Depositional Facies and Environment in the North China Platform in Jiangsu, Anhui and Liaoning, Eastern China显示文摘Molar tooth structure (MTS) represented by complex ptygmatical shapes is widely distributed in the Proterozoic of the world. MTS filled by fine, equant sparry calcite (or dolomite) displays an abrupt contact with hosting rocks, which are mainly composed of carbonaceous micrites and fine-grained carbonates with local silts and storm-dominated deposits with graded, cross or wave beddings, numerous erosional surfaces and truncated and fills or guttered bases. Occurrence of MTS suggests a result of the constraint of sedimentary facies, and the storm-base in ramp settings is the maximum depth for the formation of MTS. Vertical succession of MTS-bearing carbonates shows a deposition stacked by high-frequency shallow subtidal and peritidal cycles. 9Wind power prediction based on variational mode decomposition multi-frequency combinations显示文摘Because of the uncertainty and randomness of wind speed, wind power has characteristics such as nonlinearity and multiple frequencies. Accurate prediction of wind power is one effective means of improving wind power integration. Because the traditional single model cannot fully characterize the fluctuating characteristics of wind power, scholars have attempted to build other prediction models based on empirical mode decomposition(EMD) or ensemble empirical mode decomposition(EEMD) to tackle this problem. However, the prediction accuracy of these models is affected by modal aliasing and illusive components. Aimed at these defects, this paper proposes a multi-frequency combination prediction model based on variational mode decomposition(VMD). We use a back propagation neural network(BPNN),autoregressive moving average(ARMA)model, and least square support vector machine(LS-SVM) to predict high, intermediate,and low frequency components,respectively. Based on the predicted values of each component, the BPNN is applied to combine them into a final wind power prediction value.Finally,the prediction performance of the single prediction models(ARMA,BPNN and LS-SVM)and the decomposition prediction models(EMD and EEMD) are used to compare with the proposed VMD model according to the evaluation indices such as average absolute error, mean square error,and root mean square error to validate its feasibility and accuracy. 10Dietary modulation of endogenous host defense peptide synthesis as an alternative approach to in-feed antibiotics显示文摘Traditionally, antibiotics are included in animal feed at subtherapeutic levels for growth promotion and disease prevention.However, recent links between in-feed antibiotics and a rise in antibiotic-resistant pathogens have led to a ban of all antibiotics in livestock production by the European Union in January 2006 and a removal of medically important antibiotics in animal feeds in the United States in January 2017.An urgent need arises for antibiotic alternatives capable of maintaining animal health and productivity without triggering antimicrobial resistance.Host defense peptides(HDP) are a critical component of the animal innate immune system with direct antimicrobial and immunomodulatory activities.While in-feed supplementation of recombinant or synthetic HDP appears to be effective in maintaining animal performance and alleviating clinical symptoms in the context of disease, dietary modulation of the synthesis of endogenous host defense peptides has emerged as a cost-effective,antibiotic-alternative approach to disease control and prevention.Several different classes of smallmolecule compounds have been found capable of promoting HDP synthesis.Among the most efficacious compounds are butyrate and vitamin D.Moreover, butyrate and vitamin D synergize with each other in enhancing HDP synthesis.This review will focus on the regulation of HDP synthesis by butyrate and vitamin D in humans, chickens, pigs, and cattle and argue for potential application of HDP-inducing compounds in antibiotic-free livestock production.Kelsy Robinson Xi Ma Yulan Liu Shiyan Qiao Yongqing Hou Guolong Zhang 2018Animal Nutrition2018,,2:9

12Soil erosion rates and characteristics of typical alpine meadow using ~137Cs technique in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘Alpine meadow is the predominant ecosystem in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.The firm turf of alpine meadow formed by sub-surface anfractuous roots can be effective in conserving water and soil.Alpine meadow is a primary contributor to the Chinese Water Tower.For quantitative assess anti-erosion ability of alpine meadow,this paper selected three typical meadow slopes with>60% vegetation coverage to evaluate soil erosion rates using 137Cs.The results showed that(1)soil erosion intensity of typical alpine meadow was slight to light.Erosion rates were 464 t km–2 a–1 in Malong Village,415 t km–2 a–1 in Yeniugou Town and 875 t km–2 a–1 in Zhenqin Town respectively;(2)soil erosion rates were correlated negatively with vegetation coverage,and the relationship was clearer at the slope scale than plot scale;(3)the relationship between soil erosion and vegetation coverage showed that vegetation coverage was a predominant factor in retaining soil and water on slopes.With complete turf and high vegetation coverage, alpine meadow was of great significance for soil conservation and prevention of soil erosion.SHAO QuanQin XIAO Tong LIU JiYuan QI YongQing 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,16:8
13The uplifting process of the Bogda Mountain during the Cenozoic and its tectonic implication显示文摘The Tianshan Mountains have undergone its initial orogeny, extension adjusting and re-orogeny since the Late Paleozoic. The re-orogeny and uplifting process of the orogeny in the Mesozoic and Cenozoic are two of most important events in the geological evolution of Euro-Asian continent, which resulted in the formation of the present range-and-basin pattern in topography of the Tianshan Mountains and its adjacent areas. Thermochronology results by the method of fission-track dating of apatite suggest three obvious uplifting stages of the Bogad Mountain Chain re-orogeny during the Cenozoic, i.e. 5.6-19 Ma, 20-30 Ma, and 42-47 Ma. The strongest uplifting stage of the mountain is the second one at 20 -30 Ma, when the mountain uplifted as a whole, and the beginning of re-orogeny was no less than 65 Ma. Furthermore, our studies also show that the uplifting types of the mountain are variable in the dif-ferent time periods, including uplifting of mountain as a whole and differential uplifting. 14Kindlin-2 expression in adult tissues correlates with their embryonic origins显示文摘Kindlin-2 functions in the maintenance of homeostasis and in human diseases.This study investigated the interrelationship between Kindlin-2 expression in tissues and the corresponding germ layers from which these tissues originated.Kindlin-2 expression was examined in normal adult human organs and human cancer tissues by immunohistochemical analyses.Analysis of Kindlin-2 mRNA levels in adult human organs in the Oncomine dataset revealed Kindlin-2 is highly expressed in mesoderm-derived organs.However,Kindlin-2 was negative or weakly expressed in endoderm/ectoderm-derived organs.Interestingly,the abnormal expression of Kindlin-2 was observed in a variety of human cancers.In agreement with its expression profile in humans,Kindlin-2 was also highly expressed in mesoderm-derived organs in mouse embryos with the exception of strong Kindlin-2 expression in ectoderm-derived spinal cord and ganglia,tissues that are highly mobile during embryonic development.Importantly,we demonstrated the expression level of Kindlin-2 in adult organs correlated with their embryonic dermal origins and deregulation of Kindlin-2 in tissues is associated with tumor progression.This finding will help us understand the dual role of Kindlin-2 in the regulation of tumor progression and embryonic development.ZHAN Jun YANG Mei CHI XiaoChun ZHANG Jing PEI XueLian REN CaiXia GUO YongQing LIU Wei ZHANG HongQuan 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,7:8
15Using ^(137)Cs tracing technique to estimate wind erosion rates in the typical steppe region, northern Mongolian Plateau显示文摘Wind erosion is one of the major factors of land degradation in the typical steppe region, northern Mongolian Plateau. Using 137Cs tracing technique, we estimated the wind erosion rates of different pastures and abandoned farmland at Bayannur and Karakorum in Mongolia. The pastures and cutting grassland at Bayannur were slightly eroded by wind, with the rates of 64.58-169.07 t·km?2·a?1. The abandoned farmland in Karakorum, however, was strongly eroded by wind, with annual surface soil loss of 4.05 mm·a?1, and wind erosion rates up to 6723.06 t·km?2·a?1. The total loss of surface soil due to wind erosion has been 17.4 cm since the cultivation of the steppe land in the 1960s. The wind ero- sion rate at the abandoned farmland was much higher than that at the typical steppe sites, showing that the cultivation led to serious wind erosion in the typical steppe region, northern Mongolian Plateau. 16LA-ICPMS Zircon U-Pb Dating in the Jurassic Daohugou Beds and Correlative Strata in Ningcheng of Inner Mongolia显示文摘LA-ICPMS Zircon U-Pb dating is applied to volcanic rocks overlying and underlying the Salamander-bearing bed in the Daohugou beds of Ningcheng in Inner Mongola and Reshuichang of Lingyuan and Mazhangzi of Jianping in western Liaoning.The results indicate that the youngest age of the rocks in Daohugou of Ningcheng is 158 Ma,and the oldest one is 164 Ma.Synthesized researches indicate that the salamander-bearing beds in Daohugou of Ningcheng,Reshuichang of Lingyuan and Mazhangzi of Jianping were developed in the same period.The Daohugou beds were formed in the geological age of 164-158 Ma of the middle-late Jurassic.Whilst,the Daohugou beds and its correlative strata should correspond to the Tiaojishan Formation(or Lanqi Formation)of the middle Jurassic in northern Hebei Province and western Liaoning Province,based on the disconformity between the Daohugou beds and its overlaying beds of the Tuchengzi Formation of Late Jurassic and the Jehol Beds of early Cretaceous,and the disconformity between the Daohugou Beds and its underlying Jiulongshan Formation,which is composed of conglomerate,sandstone,shale with coal and thin coal beds.LIU Yanxue LIU Yongqing ZHANG Hong 2006Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2006,80,5:7
17Molar-Tooth Structure from the Mesoproterozoic Wumishan Formation in Lingyuan,Yanshan Region,North China,and Geological Implications显示文摘Although its origin has not yet reached a consensus so far,MTS(Molar-Tooth Structure) has been documented for more than 100 years.Current study reports a discovery of MTS from the Mesoproterozoic Wumishan Formation,Lingyuan,Yanshan Region,North China,and the features and geological implications of MTS are further discussed.Here,straitigraphic horizons of MTS's occurrences show that it was mainly located within the top part of the Wumishan Formation,i.e.,limestone unit.Four kinds of morphology of MTS,i.e.,fine fusiform,debris,ribbon,ptigmatic and nodular(irregular),were recognized and thought to be highly related to the sedimentary environments and facies.Geochemistry of MTS including oxides,trace elements and C,O and Sr isotopes indicates that the horizons of MTS-bearing is of higher Sr/Ba and Ca/Mg ratios,lower positive δ13C and highly negative δ18O values than the adjacent stratigraphic levels of rare MTS.Lithology,morphology and geochemistry of MTS in the Wumishan Formation suggest that MTS occurs mainly in shallow subtidal near the storm wave base,which is typically characterized by warm temperature,oversaturated calcium carbonate seawater and high organic productivity.Furthermore,occasional enrichment of algae bacteria here is more favorable for the calcification of calcium oozes and catalytic for MTS.C isotope composition of the Wumishan Formation and MTS of this study is well correlated with that of the Mesoproterozoic Belt Supergroup,North America and Riphean,Siberia,suggesting that MTS acts as a sedimentary record responding to global changes and is a perfect indicator in Precambrian stratigraphic correlation worldwide.KUANG Hongwei LIU Yongqing PENG Nan LUO Shunshe LI Jiahua CEN Chao CHEN Mingpei 2012Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,1:7
18Surgical Therapeutic Strategy for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer with Mediastinal Lymph Node Metastasis (N2)显示文摘Background and objective Approximately 30% of patients who are diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are classified as N2 on the basis of metastasis to the mediastinal lymph nodes. The effectiveness of surgery for these patients remains controversial. Although surgeries in recent years are proved to be effective to some extent,yet due to many reasons,5-year survival rate after surgery varies greatly from patient to patient. Thus it is necessary to select patients who have a high probability of being be cured through an operation,who are suitable to receive surgery and the best surgical methods so as to figure out the conditions under which surgical treatment can be chosen and the factors that may influence prognosis. Methods 165 out of 173 patients with N2 NSCLC were treated with surgery in our department from January 1999 to May 2003,among whom 130 were male,43 female and the sex ratio was 3:1,average age 53,ranging from 29 to 79. The database covers the patients’ complete medical history including the information of their age,sex,location and size of tumor,date of operation,surgical methods,histologic diagnosis,clinical stage,post-operative TNM stage,neoadjuvant treatment and chemoradiotherapy. The methods of clinical stage verification include chest X-ray,chest CT,PET,mediastinoscopy,bronchoscope (+?),brain CT or MRI,abdominal B ultrasound (or CT),and bone ECT. The pathological classification was based on the international standard for lung cancer (UICC 1997). Survival time was analyzed from the operation date to May 2008 with the aid of SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) program. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis,Log-rank test and Cox multiplicity were adopted respectively to obtain patients’ survival curve,survival rate and the impact possible factors may have on their survival rate. Results The median survival time was 22 months,with 3-year survival rate reaching 28.1% and 5-year survival rate reaching 19.0%. Age,sex,different histological classification and postoperative chemoradiotherapy seem to have no correlation with 5-year survival rate. In all N2 subtypes,5-year survival rate is remarkably higher for unexpected N2 discovered at thoractomy and proven N2 stage before preoperative work-up and receive a mediastinal down-staging after induction therapy (P<0.01),reaching 30.4% and 27.3% respectively. 5-year survival rate for single station lymph node metastasis were 27.8%,much higher compared with 9.3% for multiple stations (P<0.001). Induction therapy which downstages proven N2 in 73.3% patients gains them the opportunity of surgery. The 5-year survival rate were 23.6% and 13.0% for patients who had complete resection and those who had incomplete resection (P<0.001). Patients who underwent lobectomy (23.2%) have higher survival rate,less incidence rate of complication and mortality rate,compared with pneumonectomy (14.8%) (P<0.01). T4 patients has a 5-year survival rate as low as 11.1%,much less than T1 (31.5%) and T2 (24.3%) patients (P=0.01). It is noted through Cox analysis that completeness of resection,number of positive lymph node stations and primary T status have significant correlativity with 5-year survival rate. Conclusion It is suggested that surgery (lobectomy preferentially) is the best solution for T1 and T2 with primary tumor have not invaded pleura or the distance to carina of trachea no less than 2 cm,unexpected N2 discovered at thoractomy when a complete resection can be applied,and proven N2 discovered during preoperative work-up and is down-staged after induction therapy. Surgical treatment is the best option,lobectomy should be prioritized in operational methods since ite rate of complication and morality are lower than that of pneumonectomy. Patients’ survival time will not benefit from surgery if they are with lymph nodes metastasis of multiple stations (Bulky N2 included) and T4 which can be partially removed. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy increases long-term survival rate of those with N2 proven prior to surgery. 19Zr-MOFs loaded on polyurethane foam by polydopamine for enhanced dye adsorption显示文摘Zirconium-based metal-organic frameworks(Zr-MOFs)have attracted widespread attention due to their high specific surface area,high porosity,abundant metal active sites and excellent hydrothermal stability.However,Zr-MOFs materials are mostly powdery in nature and thus difficult to separate from aqueous media,which limits their application in wastewater treatment.In this study,PDA/Zr-MOFs/PU foam was constructed by growing Zr-MOFs nanoparticles on a dopamine-modified polyurethane foam substrate by in-situ hydrothermal synthesis as an adsorbent for removing dyes from wastewater.The results demonstrated that the polydopamine coating improves the dispersion of the Zr-MOFs nanoparticles on the substrate and enhances the interaction between the Zr-MOFs nanoparticles and the PU foam substrate.As a result,compared with Zr-MOFs/PU foam,the prepared PDA/ZrMOFs/PU foam exhibits higher adsorption capacity for crystal violet(CV)(63.38 mg/g)and rhodamine B(RB)(67.73 mg/g),with maximum adsorption efficiencies of CV and RB of 98.4%(pH=11)and 93.5%(pH=7),respectively,at a concentration of 10 mg/L.The PDA/Zr-MOFs/PU foam can simultaneously remove CV and RB from the mixed solution.Moreover,the PDA/ZrMOFs/PU foam still exhibits high stability and reusability after five cycles.Jingjing Zhao Linqiong Xu Yaozhuo Su Hongwei Yu Hui Liu Shaoping Qian Wenge Zheng Yongqing Zhao 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,3:6
20Stratigraphy and Geochronology of Vertebrate Fossil-Bearing Jurassic Strata from Linglongta,Jianchang County,Western Liaoning,Northeastern China显示文摘Northeastern China contains widely distributed Jurassic terrestrial strata that have yielded many spectacular mammal and pterosaur fossils, in addition to feathered dinosaur fossils and more recent discoveries from Jianchang, particularly from western Liaoning. However, the fossil-bearing stratigraphic succession, regional correlation, and age estimates of the fossils found in Jianchang County and nearby areas have been contentious. Here, we report on the vertebrate fossil-bearing Jurassic stratigraphy from Linglongta, Jianchang County, western Liaoning, including a SHRIMP U-Pb zircon date unambiguously associated with the fossil horizons. The primary goal was to determine the vertebrate fossil-bearing succession. A further aim was to provide age estimations for the fossil-bearing horizon as well as the earliest appearance of feathered dinosaurs, the eutherian-placental clade, and transitional pterosaurs. Field investigations showed that the vertebrate fossil-bearing stratigraphic succession in Jianchang County mainly consists of basal andesites overlain by rhythmic tuffs and tuffaceous lacustrine sediments, with the upper intermediate or acidic lavas interbedded with laminated more or less tuffaceous lacustrine deposits. This sequence correlates well with the Middle Jurassic Lanqi/Tiaojishan Formation in northeastern China. Detailed and accurate field observations showed that the well-preserved vertebrate fossils were buried in either the middle or the upper fine-grained laminated lacustrine deposits. Previous and current SHRIMP U-Pb zircon dates provide an age estimation of 161-159 Myr for the fossil-bearing horizon and vertebrates. This indicates that the earliest appearance of feathered dinosaurs here was more than 159 Myr ago and unquestionably older than Archaeopteryx from Germany, making these the earliest known feathered dinosaurs in the world. Furthermore, the eutherian-placental clade and the known transitional pterosaurs first emerged no later than 161 Myr. The vertebrate assemblage unearthed recently from Linglongta and neighboring areas in Jianchang County belongs to the Daohugou Biota.
