2Lower limits of evaluation parameters for the lower Paleozoic Longmaxi shale gas in southern Sichuan Province显示文摘Here we present six key parameters that have been applied to evaluate the Silurian Longmaxi shale gas accumulations of southern Sichuan Province.These parameters include richness of organic matter,single layer shale thickness,burial depth of the shale,maturity,shale properties,and brittle mineral content.In combination with drilling data,the lower limits of these six parameters for marine shale gas have been evaluated and the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Organic carbon recovery, gas content inversion,and production tests have been applied for the first time to measure the lower limit of TOC,which is determined to be 1.0%.(2)Based on the hydrocarbon generation and expulsion theory for source rocks and the characteristics of Longmaxi shale,the lower limit of the single-layer thickness is estimated to be 30 m,of which a thickness of at least 15 m should contain high-quality shale.(3)Based on the correlation of TOC and porosity,the lower limit of gas-filled porosity is 1.2%.(4)Other parameters,such as maturity,burial depth,and brittle mineral content have also been studied with regard to the geologic conditions of southern Sichuan.Based on the study results,an evaluation index system has been established for highly evolved marine shale gas,and the system has been applied successfully to geologically screened shale gas occurrences in southern Sichuan Province.LI YanJun LIU Huan ZHANG LieHui LU ZongGang LI QiRong HUANG YongBin 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,5:20

5Measurement of Rural Inclusive Financial Development and Analysis of Spatial Effects on Anti-poverty显示文摘Based on two dimensions of supply and demand,we use six indicators to establish a rural inclusive financial development index and evaluate the development of China's rural inclusive finance. We use spatial panel data model to examine the relationship between financial inclusion and rural poverty. Results show that:( i) both the rural inclusive finance and rural residents' per capita consumption present spatial clustering feature and show significant spatial correlation;( ii) the development of rural inclusive finance has significant spatial effect on poverty alleviation along time and space dimensions. 7Steganography Using Reversible Texture Synthesis Based on Seeded Region Growing and LSB显示文摘Steganography technology has been widely used in data transmission with secret information.However,the existing steganography has the disadvantages of low hidden information capacity,poor visual effect of cover images,and is hard to guarantee security.To solve these problems,steganography using reversible texture synthesis based on seeded region growing and LSB is proposed.Secret information is embedded in the process of synthesizing texture image from the existing natural texture.Firstly,we refine the visual effect.Abnormality of synthetic texture cannot be fully prevented if no approach of controlling visual effect is applied in the process of generating synthetic texture.We use seeded region growing algorithm to ensure texture’s similar local appearance.Secondly,the size and capacity of image can be decreased by introducing the information segmentation,because the capacity of the secret information is proportional to the size of the synthetic texture.Thirdly,enhanced security is also a contribution in this research,because our method does not need to transmit parameters for secret information extraction.LSB is used to embed these parameters in the synthetic texture.Qili Zhou Yongbin Qiu Li Li Jianfeng Lu Wenqiang Yuan Xiaoqing Feng Xiaoyang Mao 2018Computers, Materials & Continua2018,,4:2

9Sex-specific and dose-response relationships of urinary cobalt and molybdenum levels with glucose levels and insulin resistance in U.S. adults显示文摘Growing studies have linked metal exposure to diabetes risk.However,these studies had inconsistent results.We used a multiple linear regression model to investigate the sexspecific and dose-response associations between urinary metals(cobalt(Co)and molybdenum(Mo))and diabetes-related indicators(fasting plasma glucose(FPG),hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c),homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR),and insulin)in a cross-sectional study based on the United States National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.The urinary metal concentrations of 1423 eligible individuals were stratified on the basis of the quartile distribution.Our results showed that the urinary Co level in males at the fourth quartile(Q4)was strongly correlated with increased FPG(β=0.61,95%CI:0.17–1.04),HbA1c(β=0.31,95%CI:0.09–0.54),insulin(β=8.18,95%CI:2.84–13.52),and HOMA–IR(β=3.42,95%CI:1.40–5.44)when compared with first quartile(Q1).High urinary Mo levels(Q4 vs.Q1)were associated with elevated FPG(β=0.46,95%CI:0.17–0.75)and HbA1c(β=0.27,95%CI:0.11–0.42)in the overall population.Positive linear dose-response associations were observed between urinary Co and insulin(Pnonlinear=0.513)and HOMA–IR(Pnonlinear=0.736)in males,as well as a positive linear dose-response relationship between urinary Mo and FPG(Pnonlinear=0.826)and HbA1c(Pnonlinear=0.376)in the overall population.Significant sex-specific and dose-response relationships were observed between urinary metals(Co and Mo)and diabetes-related indicators,and the potential mechanisms should be further investigated.Jingli Yang Yongbin Lu Yana Bai Zhiyuan Cheng 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2:1

13Photo-Induced Water Oxidation Based on a Mononuclear Cobalt(II)Complex显示文摘Photo-induced water oxidation based on first row transition metal complexes has drawn much attention recently as a part of the efforts to design systems for solar fuel production.Here,the classic tetradentate ligand TPA(tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine)is used together with cobalt(II)in CH_(3)CN to form a mononuclear cobalt complex[Co(TPA)Cl]Cl.Single crystal X-ray diffraction shows that[Co(TPA)Cl]Cl is composed of discrete cationic units with a penta-coordinate cobalt center,along with chloride counter ions.In borate buffer,the Co complex acts as a water oxidation catalyst,as shown by the presence of a catalytic wave in electrochemistry.Under visible light irra-diation,in the presence of photosensitizer and electron acceptor,the Co complex catalyzes O2 evolution with a turnover frequency(TOF)of 1.0 mol(O_(2))·mol(Co)^(-1)·s^(-1)and a turnover number(TON)of 55 mol(O_(2))·mol(Co)^(-1)in pH 8 borate buffer.Hongyan Wang Yongbin Lu Edgar Mijangos Anders Thapper 2014Chinese Journal of Chemistry2014,32,6:0
14Variation in the life history strategy underlies functional diversity of tumors显示文摘Classical r-vs.K-selection theory describes the trade-offs between high reproductive output and competitiveness and guides research in evolutionary ecology.While its impact has waned in the recent past,cancer evolution may rekindle it.Herein,we impose r-or K-selection on cancer cell lines to obtain strongly proliferative r cells and highly competitive K cells to test ideas on life-history strategy evolution.RNA-seq indicates that the trade-offs are associated with distinct expression of genes involved in the cell cycle,adhesion,apoptosis,and contact inhibition.Both empirical observations and simulations based on an ecological competition model show that the trade-off between cell proliferation and competitiveness can evolve adaptively.When the r and K cells are mixed,they exhibit strikingly different spatial and temporal distributions.Due to this niche separation,the fitness of the entire tumor increases.The contrasting selective pressure may operate in a realistic ecological setting of actual tumors.Tao Li Jialin Liu Jing Feng Zhenzhen Liu Sixue Liu Minjie Zhang Yuezheng Zhang Yali Hou Dafei Wu Chunyan Li Yongbin Chen Hua Chen Xuemei Lu 2021National Science Review2021,8,2:0
15Studies of Differentially-Expressed Genes in Human Endometrial Cancer of Various Differentiated Grades显示文摘OBJECTIVE To study the gene expression profiles of human endome- trial cancers at various differentia0ted grade levels and to identify the genes related to differentiation of the endometrial cancers. METHODS cDNA microarray technology was used to analyze the differential y-expressed genes among different differentiated grades of 32 cases of endometrial cancer.Hierarchical cluster analysis(HCA)for the gene expression profiles of the cases was employed. RESULTS The tissue samples were grouped based on the various dif- ferentiated tumor grades with\33 differentiation-related genes identified out (P<0.001).Based on the results from the HCA,the conformity rate was 91% among the 33 differentially-expressed genes and the analysis of pathological classification. 16An Empirical Analysis of Regional Disparity of Financial Exclusion Based on Types and Levels of Financial Institution显示文摘We make an empirical analysis of regional characteristics of influence factors of financial exclusion by using the data of types and levels of financial institutions in China from 1998 to 2012. The study shows that the number of financial institutions continues to increase,but with uneven distribution; the density of financial institutions increases steadily and the gap between the eastern regions and the Midwest is huge; the commercial banks of the eastern regions account for the highest proportion but the rate of basic outlets of the commercial bank is low,the rate of basic outlets of the rural institution bank is relatively higher,and the proportion of the Midwest rural banks is high. Even though the financial exclusion eases,large differences still exist in different areas and the situation is rather critical in rural areas,especially the financial exclusion in western rural areas is the worst. The economic development level,area scale,government expenditure,personal savings level,per capita consumption and educational level have different effects on financial exclusion. 17RIOX1-demethylated cGAS regulates ionizing radiation-elicited DNA repair显示文摘Exposure to radiation causes DNA damage;hence, continuous surveillance and timely DNA repair are important for genome stability. Epigenetic modifications alter the chromatin architecture, thereby affecting the efficiency of DNA repair. However, how epigenetic modifiers coordinate with the DNA repair machinery to modulate cellular radiosensitivity is relatively unknown. Here, we report that loss of the demethylase ribosomal oxygenase 1(RIOX1) restores cell proliferation and reduces cell death after exposure to ionizing radiation. Furthermore, RIOX1 depletion enhances homologous recombination(HR) repair but not nonhomologous endjoining(NHEJ) repair in irradiated bone marrow cells and oral mucosal epithelial cells. Mechanistic study demonstrates that RIOX1 removes monomethylation at K491 of cyclic GMP-AMP synthase(c GAS) to release c GAS from its interaction with the methyl-lysine reader protein SAGA complex-associated factor 29(SGF29), which subsequently enables c GAS to interact with poly(ADP-ribosyl)ated poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 1(PARP1) at DNA break sites, thereby blocking PARP1-mediated recruitment of Timeless. High expression of RIOX1 maintains c GAS K491 me at a low level, which impedes HR repair and reduces cellular tolerance to ionizing radiation. 19Real-world effectiveness and safety of goserelin 10.8-mg depot in Chinese patients with localized or locally advanced prostate cancer显示文摘Objective:Real-word data on long-acting luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone(LHRH)agonists in Chinese patients with prostate cancer are limited.This study aimed to determine the real-world effectiveness and safety of the LHRH agonist,goserelin,particularly the long-acting 10.8-mg depot formulation,and the follow-up patterns among Chinese prostate cancer patients.Methods:This was a multicenter,prospective,observational study in hormone treatment-na?ve patients with localized or locally advanced prostate cancer who were prescribed goserelin 10.8-mg depot every 12 weeks or 3.6-mg depot every 4 weeks with or without an anti-androgen.The patients had follow-up evaluations for 26 weeks.The primary outcome was the effectiveness of goserelin in reducing serum testosterone and prostate-specific antigen(PSA)levels.The secondary outcomes included testosterone and PSA levels,attainment of chemical castration(serum testosterone<50 ng/d L),and goserelin safety.The exploratory outcome was the monitoring pattern for serum testosterone and PSA.All analyses were descriptive.Results:Between September 2017 and December 2019,a total of 294 eligible patients received≥1 dose of goserelin;287 patients(97.6%)were treated with goserelin 10.8-mg depot.At week 24±2,the changes from baseline[standard deviation(95%confidence interval)]in serum testosterone(n=99)and PSA(n=131)were-401.0 ng/d L[308.4 ng/d L(-462.5,-339.5 ng/d L)]and-35.4 ng/m L[104.4 ng/m L(-53.5,-17.4 ng/m L)],respectively.Of 112 evaluable patients,100(90.2%)achieved a serum testosterone level<50 ng/d L.Treatment-emergent adverse events(TEAEs)and severe TEAEs occurred in 37.1%and 10.2%of patients,respectively.The mean testing frequency(standard deviation)was 1.6(1.5)for testosterone and 2.2(1.6)for PSA.Conclusions:Goserelin 10.8-mg depot effectively achieved and maintained castration and was well-tolerated in Chinese patients with localized and locally advanced prostate cancer.Nanhui Chen Zengjun Wang Ming Chen Qi Ma Yi He Yujie Wang Xin Li Mingxing Qiu Lei Shi Shaoxing Zhu Qun Xie Xiuheng Liu Benkang Shi Guowen Lin Weizhong Yang Yongbin Liao Haibin Zhang Shusheng Wang Jiexian Li Shaogang Wang Lijun Dong Hui Chen Jiaju Lu YongyiCheng Xiaoping Zhang Lulin Ma Liqun Zhou He Wang Shen Li Dingwei Ye 2023Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,12:0
