1Source and spatial distributions of particulate organic carbon and its isotope in surface waters of Prydz Bay, Antarctica, during summer显示文摘In this study, we investigated the distributions of sea-surface suspended particulate organic carbon(POC) and its stable isotope(δ13CPOC) in Prydz Bay, Antarctica, and examined the factors infl uencing their distribution, sources, and transport. We used measurements collected from 61 stations in Prydz Bay during the 29 th Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition, in combination with remote sensing data on sea surface temperature(SST), chlorophyll a concentration, and sea ice coverage. The POC concentration in the surface waters of Prydz Bay was 0.28–0.84 mg·L-1, with an average concentration of 0.48 mg·L-1. The δ13CPOC value ranged from-29.68‰ to-26.30‰, with an average of-28.01‰. The concentration of suspended POC was highest in near-shore areas and in western Prydz Bay. The POC concentration was correlated with chlorophyll a concentration and sea ice coverage, suggesting that POC was associated with phytoplankton production in local water columns, while the growth of phytoplankton was obviously affected by sea ice coverage. The δ13CPOC value in suspended particles decreased gradually towards the outer waters of Prydz Bay, while in eastern Prydz Bay the δ13CPOC value become gradually more negative from nearshore to deep-water areas, suggesting that δ13CPOC was mainly infl uenced by CO2 fixation by phytoplankton. 2Cooperative Chloride Hydrogel Electrolytes Enabling Ultralow-Temperature Aqueous Zinc Ion Batteries by the Hofmeister Effect显示文摘Aqueous zinc ion batteries have high potential applicability for energy storage due to their reliable safety,environmental friendliness,and low cost.However,the freezing of aqueous electrolytes limits the normal operation of batteries at low temperatures.Herein,a series of high-performance and low-cost chloride hydrogel electrolytes with high concentrations and low freezing points are developed.The electrochemical windows of the chloride hydrogel electrolytes are enlarged by>1 V under cryogenic conditions due to the obvious evolution of hydrogen bonds,which highly facilitates the operation of electrolytes at ultralow temperatures,as evidenced by the low-temperature Raman spectroscopy and linear scanning voltammetry.Based on the Hofmeister effect,the hydrogen-bond network of the cooperative chloride hydrogel electrolyte comprising 3 M ZnCl_(2)and 6 M LiCl can be strongly interrupted,thus exhibiting a sufficient ionic conductivity of 1.14 mS cm;and a low activation energy of 0.21 e V at-50℃.This superior electrolyte endows a polyaniline/Zn battery with a remarkable discharge specific capacity of 96.5 mAh g;at-50℃,while the capacity retention remains~100%after 2000 cycles.These results will broaden the basic understanding of chloride hydrogel electrolytes and provide new insights into the development of ultralow-temperature aqueous batteries.Changyuan Yan Yangyang Wang Xianyu Deng Yonghang Xu 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,6:3

4Transport of black carbon aerosols from non-local sources:A case study in Shanghai显示文摘Black carbon(BC) aerosol mass carried by winds of varying directions from non-local sources was estimated based on hourly measured data of BC mass concentration(C_(BC)) and meteorological parameters from January 2008 to December 2012 in Shanghai,and the relationship between annual average C_(BC) and wind speed was analyzed.The results show that the annual average C_(BC) decreased with wind speed for speeds exceeding 0.3 m/s.The relationship between the two was determined by a linear fit with correlation coefficient 0.88.Assuming BC aerosol mass of non-local sources transported by a southeast wind was zero,annual average BC concentrations(μg/m^3) carried by winds of variable direction were 1.99(southwest),1.95(west),1.15(northwest),0.54(south),0.39(north),0.01(northeast),and 0.01(east).BC aerosol mass of non-local sources transported by wind to Shanghai was about 6404.051 per year,among which the total contribution of southwest,west,and northwest winds was nearly 84%.The aerosol mass transported to Shanghai in winter accounted for 35%that of the entire year,and was greater than that of the other seasons.Hongqiang Wang Yanming Kang Qianshan He Yonghang Chen 2015Particuology2015,13,3:2
5Seasonal variation in particle contribution and aerosol types in Shanghai based on satellite data from MODIS and CALIOP显示文摘Although the concentration of atmospheric particulate matter in Shanghai has declined in recent years,aerosols remain one of the major pollutants affecting air quality.Herein,spatio-seasonal variation in aerosol optical properties and aerosol types were studied overa 10-year period(2006-2015)in Shanghai,China,using satellite data from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)and CloudAerosol Lidar with Orthogonal Polarization(CALIOP).The average aerosol optical depth values for central urban and suburban areas of Shanghai were between 0.9 and 1.0.Clear seasonal variation in aerosol concentrations occurred,causing strongest attenuation in summer and weakest attenuation in autumn.Polluted dust,polluted continental(urban/industrial)and smoke aerosols were the main aerosol types.Desert dust aerosols occurred in the Shanghai area at higher altitudes(greater than 3 km)in spring,related to dusty weather in the north;while in winter,smoke aerosols occurred at high altitudes,related to haze pollution in the north.The aerosols detected in autumn were mainly from local sources,comprising polluted dust,polluted continental,and smoke aerosols.Aerosols in Shanghai clearly reflect both local and regional sources at different times.Qiong Liu Xin Liu Tongqiang Liu Yanming Kang Yonghang Chen Jiming Li Hua Zhang 2020Particuology2020,18,4:2

11The biogenic silica variation and paleoproductivity evolution in the eastern Indian Ocean during the past 20 000 a显示文摘The biogenic silica of sediment samples from Core CJ01-185 which is collected from the eastern India Ocean off the Sunda Strait is analyzed to evaluate the impact of the opening of the Sunda Strait on a paleoproductivity evolution. The new results indicate that the biogenic silica mass values of Core CJ01-185 show the lowest 0.86% in the last glacial period, and reach its maxima of 1.89% in the late Holocene. Furthermore, the biogenic silica mass accumulation rate(MARBSi) values also vary with much higher during the late Holocene than during the last glaciation. The input of additional terrigenous materials from the Java Sea has enhanced the paleoproductivity and increased the biogenic silica mass and MARBSi values after the opening of the Sunda Strait. It is suggested that the paleoproductivity in the study area is mainly influenced by the southeast monsoon and upwelling before the opening of the Sunda Strait. 17Anti-biofouling NH_(3) gas sensor based on reentrant thorny ZnO/graphene hybrid nanowalls显示文摘Since toxic gas leakage may cause ecological environmental problems and even life-threatening damage,effective monitoring of toxic gas is of great importance and subject to increasing demand.However,complicated environmental factors,as well as various coexisting interferences can easily affect the sensitivity and selectivity of gas sensors,hindering their performance.Recent reports have successfully demonstrated the development of hierarchical nanostructures with desirable self-cleaning properties,yet gas sensors that can resist contamination have rarely been realized.Here,we developed a reentrant thorny ZnO/graphene hybrid nanowall structure that simultaneously repels liquid contamination and possesses NH_(3) gas sensing properties.The unique reentrant and hierarchical structure,featuring an interconnected vertical graphene nanowall framework with numerous ZnO nanospikes branched on the top nanowall,is highly repellent to liquids,even biofluids with low surface tension.The hierarchical structure consisting of gas sensing graphene and ZnO can be successfully applied as an NH_(3) gas sensor at room temperature,exhibiting not only excellent sensitivity,selectivity,and repeatability,but also outstanding stability even after bacterial contamination.This study provides a versatile method for fabricating reentrant and hierarchical structures with excellent liquid repellency,and offers a promising method for designing reliable gas sensors with anti-biofouling properties.Tian Hang Jiangming Wu Shuai Xiao Baohong Li Hongbo Li Chengduan Yang Cheng Yang Ning Hu Yonghang Xu Yu Zhang Xi Xie 2020Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1:1
18Accurate Shortwave Radiation Simulation with a Two-Layer Aerosol Model in Xinjiang Region显示文摘To harness the rich solar energy resources in Xinjiang Region of Northwest China,this study tries to address the issue of lack of downward surface shortwave radiation(DSSR)observations and the need to improve the accuracy of satellite retrieval and numerical simulation of DSSR under varied sky and meteorological conditions.(1)A two-layer aerosol model specific to Xinjiang was developed to capture the vertical distributions of aerosols based on multiple data sources including lidar,GPS sounding,ground meteorological observations,and profiles from the ECMWF reanalysis version 5(ERA5)data.The results show that the ERA5/PBLH(planetary boundary layer height)and ERA5/ALH(aerosol layer height)could be used to establish the two-layer aerosol model and characterize the vertical distribution of aerosols in Xinjiang Region.(2)Using the Santa Barbara Discrete Atmospheric Radiative Transfer(SBDART)model,a localized inverse model of clear-sky DSSR was established.After parameter adjustment and using the optimal combination of input parameters for DSSR simulation together with the two-layer aerosol model,the model-simulated DSSR(DSSRSBD)under clear-sky conditions improved significantly compared to the initial results,with all fitting indices greatly improved.(3)In addition,the study demonstrated that the impact of the two-layer aerosol model on DSSR was more pronounced under dust conditions than clear-sky conditions.(4)Using the localized clear-sky DSSR inversion model and its required parameters,simulations were also conducted to capture the spatiotemporal distribution of DSSR under clear-sky conditions in Xinjiang from 2017 to 2019.The annual average DSSR_(SBD)under clear-sky conditions in Xinjiang during 2017–2019 was 606.78 W m^(-2),while DSSR from CERES(DSSR_(CER))under the same conditions was generally higher(703.95 W m^(-2)).(5)It is found that satellite remote sensing products experienced data loss in high-altitude snow areas,where numerical simulation technology could serve as a valuable complement.Guan HUANG Yonghang CHEN Qiong LIU Pengtao WANG Qianshan HE Qing HE Shuai LI Weiling SHAO Ting FAN 2024Journal of Meteorological Research2024,38,1:0
19Drop-weight impact fragmentation of gas-containing coal particles显示文摘Research on coal fragmentation can play an important role in understanding coal and gas outbursts.The study discussed in this paper explored the fragmentation of gas-containing coal particles using the drop-weight impact method.The effects of equilibrium gas pressures and type of adsorbate gas on particle size distributions and fragmentation energy were investigated in detail.We found that the Fractal particle size distribution model can most effectively describe the crushed coal particle sizes.The equilibrium pressure and type of gas can influence the Fractal distribution parameter.The crushing energy is composed of energy to create new surfaces and other forms of energy that are dissipated but the equilibrium gas pressure and type of adsorption gas can affect energy consumption and crushing efficiency.This research will be of guiding significance to the intensity evaluation and mechanism understanding of coal and gas outbursts.Chengwu Li Min Hao Zhengya Geng Yonghang He Shanyang Wei 2021Particuology2021,19,2:0
20Cloud computing-enabled IIOT system for neurosurgical simulation using augmented reality data acces显示文摘In recent years,statistics have indicated that the number of patients with malignant brain tumors has increased sharply.However,most surgeons still perform surgical training using the traditional autopsy and prosthesis model,which encounters many problems,such as insufficient corpse resources,low efficiency,and high cost.With the advent of the 5G era,a wide range of Industrial Internet of Things(IIOT)applications have been developed.Virtual Reality(VR)and Augmented Reality(AR)technologies that emerged with 5G are developing rapidly for intelligent medical training.To address the challenges encountered during neurosurgery training,and combining with cloud computing,in this paper,a highly immersive AR-based brain tumor neurosurgery remote collaborative virtual surgery training system is developed,in which a VR simulator is embedded.The system enables real-time remote surgery training interaction through 5G transmission.Six experts and 18 novices were invited to participate in the experiment to verify the system.Subsequently,the two simulators were evaluated using face and construction validation methods.The results obtained by training the novices 50 times were further analyzed using the Learning Curve-Cumulative Sum(LC-CUSUM)evaluation method to validate the effectiveness of the two simulators.The results of the face and content validation demonstrated that the AR simulator in the system was superior to the VR simulator in terms of vision and scene authenticity,and had a better effect on the improvement of surgical skills.Moreover,the surgical training scheme proposed in this paper is effective,and the remote collaborative training effect of the system is ideal.Jun Liu Kai Qian Zhibao Qin Mohammad Dahman Alshehri Qiong Li Yonghang Tai 2023Digital Communications and Networks2023,9,2:0
