| 1 | Effect of Dongchongxiacao(Cordyceps) therapy on contrast-induced nephropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes and renal insufficiency undergoing coronary angiography显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study the protective effects of Dongchongxiacao(Cordyceps)(DCXC) on contrast-induced nephropathy(CIN) in patients with type 2 diabetes and renal insufficiency undergoing coronary angiography.METHODS: A total of 120 patients with type 2 diabetes whose estimated glomerular filtration rate(e GFR) was ≤ 60 m L/minee grou·1.73 m2,were divided randomly into thrps,basic treatment group(n = 41),standard DCXC therapy group(n = 39,2-g corbrin capsules,3 times/d,3 days before and after angiography),and intensive DCXC therapy group(n = 40,3-g corbrin capsules,3 times/d,3 days before and after angiography). Serum creatinine(Scr)and e GFR were assessed at the time of admission to hospital,and on days 1,2 and 3 after angiography. Urine neutrophil-gelatinase-associated-lipocalin(NGAL),kidney injury molecule-1(KIM-1) and interleukin-18(IL-18) were measured before angiography and at day 1 after angiography for all patients. The primary end point was the prevalence of CIN. The secondary end point was a 25% or greater reduction in e GFR.RESULTS: CIN occurred in 11 of 120 patients(9.17 %). The prevalence of CIN was lower in the DCXC treatment groups than in the basic treatment group(P < 0.05),with a more significant decrease in the prevalence of CIN in the intensive DCXC therapy group(P < 0.01). Compared with the basic treatment group,a lower proportion of patients in the DCXC treatment groups had an e GFR decrease of 25% or greater(P < 0.05); patients with an e GFR decrease of 25% or greater accounted for an even lower proportion in the intensive DCXC therapy group(P < 0.01). Within 1 day of the procedure,urine levels of KIM-1,NGAL and IL-18 in patients in the intensive DCXC therapy group were lower than those in the basic treatment group and standard therapy group(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: DCXC treatment may protect against CIN in patients with type 2 diabetes and renal insufficiency undergoing coronary angiography,with intensive DCXC therapy being more effective. | Zhao Kai Li Yongjian Gao Sheng Lin Yu | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,4: | 15 |
| 2 | Failure mechanism of Mesozoic soft rock roadway in Shajihai coal mine and its surrounding rock control显示文摘In view of the buckling failure caused by large deformation of Mesozoic soft rock roadway in Shajihai mining area, such as serious roof fall, rib spalling, floor heave, etc., based on the detail site investigation,theoretical analysis, mineral composition test, microstructure test, water-physical property test and field experiments were carried out. And we revealed the compound failure mechanism of Mesozoic soft rock roadway in Shajihai mining area, namely the molecule expansion-shear slip of weak structural plane-construction disturbance. On this basis, the coupling support technology whose core is constant resistance with large deformation bolt was proposed. The feature of this supporting technology is that a new type of structural composite material was used, which makes the supporting system not only has the ideal deformation characteristics, but also has high supporting resistance. Thus the fully release of plastic energy within surrounding rock and reasonable control of the thickness of the plastic ring were realized. Then the differential deformation between the surrounding rock and support was eliminated by the secondary coupling support of bolt–mesh–cable, and the bolt with high strength was applied in the base angle to control floor. Eventually the collaborative bearing system of surrounding rock–support was formed. | 5 | Tumor-targeted delivery of siRNA to silence Sox2 gene expression enhances therapeutic response in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘RNA interference(RNAi)is one of the most promising methods for the treatment of malignant tumors.However,developing an efficient biocompatible delivery vector for small interfering RNA(siRNA)remains a challenging issue.This study aimed to prepare a non-viral tumor-targeted carrier,named RGDfC-modified functionalized selenium nanoparticles(RGDfC-SeNPs).RGDfC-SeNPs were used to selectively deliver siSox2 to HepG2 liver cancer cells and tissues for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).In the current study,RGDfC-SeNPs were successfully synthesized and characterized.It was shown that RGDfC-SeNPs could effectively load siSox2 to prepare an antitumor prodrug RGDfC-Se@siSox2.RGDfC-Se@siSox2 exhibited selective uptake in HepG2 liver cancer cells and LO2 normal liver cells,indicating RGDfC-SeNPs could effectively deliver siSox2 to HepG2 liver cancer cells.RGDfC-Se@siSox2 entered HepG2 cells via clathrin-mediated endocytosis by firstly encircling the cytoplasm and then releasing siSox2 in the lysosomes.RGDfC-Se@siSox2 could effectively silence Sox2 and inhibit the proliferation,migration and invasion of HepG2 cells.RGDfC-Se@siSox2 induced HepG2 cells apoptosis most likely via overproduction of reactive oxygen species and disruption of the mitochondrial membrane potentials.Most importantly,RGDfC-Se@siSox2 significantly inhibited the tumor growth in HepG2 tumor-bearing mice without obvious toxic side effects.These studies indicated that RGDfC-SeNPs may be an ideal gene carrier for delivering siSox2 to HepG2 cells and that RGDfC-Se@siSox2 may be a novel and highly specific gene-targeted prodrug therapy for HCC. | Yu Xia Guoyi Tang Yi Chen Changbing Wang Min Guo Tiantian Xu Mingqi Zhao Yongjian Zhou | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,5: | 2 |

| 8 | An ultrasound-triggered cation chelation and reassembly route to one-dimensional Ni-rich cathode material enabling fast charging and stable cycling of Li-ion batteries显示文摘Ni-rich oxides,LiNixMnyCozO2(NMC),are among leading candidates for cathode materials in Li-ion batteries.However,they are mostly fabricated by coprecipitation approach under complex conditions,which usually produces large secondary particles composed of aggregated primary particles.Undesirable cation mixing and crack propagation upon cycling block ion and electron transport,result in fast capacity fading and poor rate capability.Herein,we present an ultrasound-triggered cation chelation and reassembly route for synthesizing one-dimensional precursor with homogeneous element distribution at the atomic level.This process is accomplished by the synergistic combination of ultrasound and surfactant,which can disperse reactants and remove hydration shells surrounding cations so as to accelerate chelating reaction,and then separate and assemble chelates into one dimensional structure.The whole synthesis time is only 20 min(8.9 min of ultrasonic working time)in an open vessel under natural ambient conditions.One-dimensional LiNi0.6Mn0.2Co0.2O2 has a high reversible capacity(184 mAh·g^−1 at 0.1 C)and long cycling stability(95.1%and 82.4%capacity retention for 100 and 1000 cycles,respectively).The short charging time of 76 s is realized at super high current rate of 20 C,which is very important to improve the competitiveness of electric vehicles relative to fuel vehicles.Our synthetic approach can provide a general strategy for the growth of mixed-metal-EDTA chelate precursors by changing the feeding ratio of Ni2+,Mn2+and Co2+cations in reaction for fabricating NMC cathode materials with other compositions. | Yongjian Lai Zhaojie Li Wenxia Zhao Xiaoning Cheng Shuo Xu Xiao Yu Yong Liu | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,12: | 2 |
