1A New Species of the Genus Tylototriton (Urodela: Salamandridae) from Northeastern Hunan Province, China显示文摘We describe a new species from the family Salamandridae from northeastern Hunan Province of China based on morphological and molecular genetic evidences.The new species,Tylototriton liuyangensis,is a member of the T.asperrimus group,and shares a number of similarities with T.wenxianensis and T.broadoridgus.The dorsal surface of the new Tylototriton species is completely black,with nodule-like warts distributed evenly along the lateral margin of dorsal body,and there is no transverse striae between the warts.There are several diagnostic characters of the new species that differ from those of T.wenxianensis and T.broadoridgus as follows:(1)the interorbital space(IOS)is comparatively wide;(2)there is a bony ridge present on the dorsal head surface,running along the upper eyelids;(3)the space between axilla and groin(AGS)is comparatively large,with the mean male AGS approximately equal to 50%of the snout-vent length(SVL)and the mean female AGS being 53%of SVL;and(4)there is a small genital armature on the anterior angle of labial folds present inside the anal fissure of adult males during the breeding season.The result from the molecular phylogenetic analysis of the genus Tylototriton(including the type specimen of the new species)based on the complete DNA sequence of the mitochondrial ND2 gene(1035 bp)indicated that the new species was similar to T.wenxianensis,T.dabienicus,and T.broadoridgus,but formed an independent clade.This result was consistent with the morphological analysis above,supporting that the Liuyang Population represented a distinct species.Daode YANG Jianping JIANG Youhui SHEN Dongbo FEI 2014Asian Herpetological Research2014,5,1:5
2Tailoring the Meso-Structure of Gold Nanoparticles in Keratin-Based Activated Carbon Toward High-Performance Flexible Sensor显示文摘Flexible biosensors with high accuracy and reliable operation in detecting pH and uric acid levels in body fluids are fabricated using well-engineered metaldoped porous carbon as electrode material.The gold nanoparticles@N-doped carbon in situ are prepared using wool keratin as both a novel carbon precursor and a stabilizer.The conducting electrode material is fabricated at 500℃ under customized parameters,which mimics A-B type(two different repeating units) polymeric material and displays excellent deprotonation performance(pH sensitivity).The obtained pH sensor exhibits high pH sensitivity of 57 mV/pH unit and insignificant relative standard deviation of 0.088%.Conversely,the composite carbon material with sp^2 structure prepared at 700℃ is doped with nitrogen and gold nanoparticles,which exhibits good conductivity and electrocatalytic activity for uric acid oxidation.The uric acid sensor has linear response over a range of 1-150 μM and a limit of detection 0.1 μM.These results will provide new avenues where biological material will be the best start,which can be useful to target contradictory applications through molecular engineering at mesoscale.Aniruddha BPatil Zhaohui Meng Ronghui Wu Liyun Ma Zijie Xu Chenyang Shi Wu Qiu Qiang Liu Yifan Zhang Youhui Lin Naibo Lin Xiang Yang Liu 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,9:3
3Performance of common buckwheat(Fagopyrum esculentum M.) supplied with selenite or selenate for selenium biofortification in northeastern China显示文摘Selenium(Se)deficiency commonly occurs in soils of northeastern China and leads to insufficient Se intake by humans.A two-year field study of Se biofortification of common buckwheat supplied with 40 g Se ha^(-1)as selenite(Se(IV)),selenate(Se(VI)),or a combination(1/2 Se(IV+VI))was performed to investigate Se accumulation and translocation in plants and determine the effects of different forms of Se on the grain yield,biomass production,and Se use efficiency of plants and seeds.Se application increased seed Se concentrations to 47.1–265.1μg kg^(-1).Seed Se concentrations following Se(VI)or 1/2 Se(IV+VI)treatment exceeded 100μg kg^(-1),an amount suitable for crop Se biofortification.Se concentration in shoots and roots decreased with plant development,and Se translocation from root to shoot in Se(IV)-treated plants was lower than that in plants treated with 1/2 Se(IV+VI)and Se(VI).Both grain yield and biomass production increased under 1/2 Se(IV+VI)treatment,with grain yields reaching 1663.8 and 1558.5 kg ha^(-1)in 2015 and 2016,respectively,reflecting increases of 11.0% and 10.3% over those without Se application.The Se use efficiency of seeds and plants under Se(VI)treatment was significantly higher than those under 1/2 Se(IV+VI)and Se(IV)treatments.Thus,application of selenate could result in higher Se accumulation in buckwheat seeds than application of the other Se sources,but the combined application of selenate and selenite might be an alternative approach for improving buckwheat grain yield by Se biofortification in northeastern China.Ying Jiang Xiaomin Feng Yadong Yang Xiangxue Qi Yongfeng Ren Youhui Gao Weidong Liu Yuegao Hu Zhaohai Zeng 2018The Crop Journal2018,6,4:3
4Effects of Magnetic Annealing on Magnetic Properties in Nd_4Fe_(76)Co_3(Hf_(1-x)Ga_x)B_(16) Alloy显示文摘The best linear fit of H_c(T)/M,(T) vs 2k_1(T)/μ_0M s^2(T) infers that H_c is determined by a nucleation process in nanocrystalline two-phase magnet.The condition of the grain shapes is improved after adding Hf and Ga,but the surfaces are deteriorated by some precipitates on the boundary.Taking into account the values of α,N_(eff),the results of TEM,and Moessbauer spectroscopy,the magnetic field heat-treatment not only induces grain refinement but also causes a uniform distribution of the soft and hard phases.It is one recommendable method to improve the condition of the microstructure.Both the remanence and energy product values are increased by 20%— 30%for all ribbons after annealing with magnetic field.The magnetic interaction in Nd_2Fe_(14)B/Fe_3B + αFe based nanocrystalline two-phase magnets is studied using δM plots in this paper.It is found that the exchange coupled interaction is greatly enhanced in the sample annealed with magnetic heat-treatment,specially,Nd_4Fe_(76)Co_3Hf_(0.5)Ga_(0.5)B_(16) which achieves the highest energy product(BH)_(max)=126.4kJ/m^3.Gao Youhui Zhu Jinghan Weng Yuqing Eon Byung Park Choong Jin Yang 1999Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)1999,6,1:2

9Using silk-derived magnetic carbon nanocomposites as highly efficient Nanozymes and electromagnetic absorbing agents显示文摘Functional carbon nanomaterials have become the stars of many active research fields,such as electronics,energy,catalysis,imaging,sensing and biomedicine.Herein,a facile and one-pot strategy for generating ferromagnetic nanoparticles loaded on N-doped carbon nanosheets(Fe-N-CNS)is presented by salt-assisted high-temperature carbonization of natural silk proteins.Due to their graphitic structures,N-doping and ferromagnetic nanoparticles(FeN_(x),FeO_(y),FeC_(z)),the silk-derived Fe-N-CNS can act as excellent mimics of both peroxidase and oxidase.Benefiting from the combined character of the graphene-like structures and enzyme-like activities,Fe-N-CNS can be further applied to highly efficient dye removal via synergistic adsorption and degradation.Meanwhile,the as-prepared Fe-N-CNS with intrinsic magnetism and electrical conductivity can also serve as an efficient electromagnetic wave absorption agent.The broadest effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of as-obtained absorbing material yields a 6.73 GHz with 1 mm thickness,with a maximum reflection loss of-37.33 dB(11.41 GHz).The EAB can cover2~18 GHz with a tunable absorber thickness from 1.0 mm to 5.0 mm.Collectively,Fe-N-CNS,as a dualfunctional material,can tackle the aggravating environmental pollution issues of both dyes and electromagnetic waves.Hao Wang Xianhui Zhang Yonghua Tang Weifeng Rong Jiachen Zhao Chaoyu Fan Zhisen Zhang Zhijun Sun Yun Yang Youhui Lin 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,9:0
10Assessment of macrobenthic community function and ecological quality after reclamation in the Changjiang(Yangtze)River Estuary wetland显示文摘An ecological optimization project(semi-closed reclamation project)was implemented to control the invasion of Spartina alterniflora,and optimize the habitat of the Chongming Dongtan wetland,in the Changjiang(Yangtze)River Estuary.After project implementation,a macrobenthic ecological survey was conducted in a natural tidal flat and a semi-closed reclamation restoration area within the Chongming Dongtan wetland from 2019 to 2020.Compared with historical data before reclamation,findings showed that the groups,numbers,and species diversity of the macrobenthos increased significantly,and the ecological optimization project resulted in good ecological benefits.In addition,compared to the natural tidal flat,the number of collected macrobenthic phyla,and the macrobenthic density and biomass were significantly lower in the restoration area.Furthermore,the biodiversity index and functional redundancy of natural tidal flats were generally higher,indicating that the community composition and function of natural tidal flats were relatively more stable.Even though the species composition differed between a number of restoration areas and natural tidal flats,there was no difference in functional diversity,indicating that the effect of restoring ecological functions in restoration areas was optimal.Among them,the biodiversity and functional redundancy of Site S2 were significantly reduced,and the ecosystem function was extremely unstable.Habitat heterogeneity,vegetation community and decreasing salinity were the main factors that affected the ecological functions of macrobenthos.The ecological quality was also evaluated;the Transects N3 and N4 showed good quality.The overall ecological quality of the restoration area was generally high,but that of Site S2 was poor and that of Site S2E was merely good,which was mainly due to modifications of the ecological function of macrobenthos.It is suggested that reeds mowing and freshwater species release should be adopted in restoration areas to improve the community function and the environmental disturbance resistance of the macrobenthos.Yinying Huang Yingying Huang Xinglin Du Yiming Li Jiangtao Tian Qiang Chen Youhui Huang Weiwei Lv Ying Yang Zhiquan Liu Yunlong Zhao 2022Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,11:0
