4Joint User Association and Resource Allocation for mmWave Communication:A Neural Network Approach显示文摘With the rapid growth of wireless data demand and the shortage of global bandwidth,the use of millimeter-wave(mmWave)frequency band for wireless cellular networks has become the core content of the fifth generation cellular network.Because mmWave communication has different characteristics from microwave communication,using traditional optimization techniques to manage the resource of mmWave communication networks is inappropriate.In this paper,we propose a neural network-based algorithm to solve the joint user association and resource allocation for mmWave communication system with multi-connectivity(MC)and integrated access backhaul(IAB).The resource allocation problem is formulated as a mixed-integer quadratically constrained quadratic programming(MIQCQP),which is very difficult to solve.First,we decompose the MIQCQP into two sub-problems,i.e.,binary associated matrix sub-problem and continuous IAB ratio sub-problem.Then we propose a neural network to solve the binary associated matrix inference problem and a resource allocation algorithm to find the sub-optimal IAB ratio.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve good performance with a fast inference speed.Chongrui Pan Rui Liu Guanding Yu 2021Journal of Communications and Information Networks2021,6,2:1

7Joint User Selection and Resource Allocation for Fast Federated Edge Learning显示文摘By periodically aggregating local learning updates from edge users, federated edge learning (FEEL) is envisioned as a promising means to reap the benefit of local rich da?ta and protect users'privacy. However, the scarce wireless communication resource greatly limits the number of participated users and is regarded as the main bottleneck which hin?ders the development of FEEL. To tackle this issue, we propose a user selection policy based on data importance for FEEL system. In order to quantify the data importance of each user, we first analyze the relationship between the loss decay and the squared norm of gradi?ent. Then, we formulate a combinatorial optimization problem to maximize the learning effi?ciency by jointly considering user selection and communication resource allocation. By problem transformation and relaxation, the optimal user selection policy and resource alloca?tion are derived, and a polynomial-time optimal algorithm is developed. Finally, we deploy two commonly used deep neural network (DNN) models for simulation. 8POWER CONTROL STRATEGIES FOR MULTICHANNEL COGNITIVE WIRELESS NETWORKS WITH OPPORTUNISTIC INTERFERENCE CANCELLATION显示文摘In this letter,an Opportunistic Interference Cancellation(OIC) is first introduced as a rate control strategy for secondary user in cognitive wireless networks. Based on the OIC rate control method,an optimal power control strategy for multichannel cognitive wireless networks is proposed. The algorithm aims to maximize the total transmit rate of cognitive user through appropriately controlling the transmit power of each subchannel under the constraint that the interference temperature at the primary receiver is below a certain threshold. Three suboptimal power control methods,namely Equal Power Transmission(EPT) ,Equal Rate Transmission(ERT) and Equal Interference Transmission(EIT) ,are also proposed. 9AN EFFICIENT RADIO RESOURCE MANAGEMENT STRATEGY FOR ADAPTIVE OFDM CELLULAR SYSTEMS显示文摘This paper presents an efficient Radio Resource Management (RRM) strategy for adaptive Orthogo-nal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) cellular systems. In the proposed strategy, only those users who have the same distance from their base stations can reuse a same subcarrier. This can guarantee the received Carrier-to-Interference ratio (C/I) of each subcarrier to be acceptable as required by system planning. Then by employing different modulation scheme on each subcarrier according to its received C/I, system spectral effi-ciency can be gracefully increased. 10COOPERATIVE ARQ PROTOCOL FOR CORRELATED WIRELESS CHANNELS显示文摘A novel Automatic repeat ReQuest (ARQ) protocol called cooperative ARQ is presented in this let-ter, where a relay terminal is requested to retransmit an erroneously received packet, instead of the source ter-minal. The data link layer Packet Error Rate (PER) performance of cooperative ARQ is derived in correlated wireless channel. The results show that even though the relay-destination channel is worse than the source-destination channel, the new protocol outperforms the traditional one as long as the average SNR of the relay-destination channel is better than a certain threshold. 11Data Concurrent Transmission MAC Protocol for Application Oriented Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks显示文摘With the increasing demand for marine exploration, underwater acoustic sensor networks (UASNs) are prone to have the characteristics of large-scale, long term monitoring, and high data traffic load. Underwater media access control (MAC) protocols, which allow multiple users to share the common medium fairly and efficiently, are essential for the performance of UASNs. However, the design of MAC protocols is confronted with the challenges of spatial unfairness, data eruption, and low energy efficiency. In this paper, we propose a novel data concurrent transmission (DCT) MAC protocol, which is able to exploit long propagation delay and conduct concurrent transmission. Specifically, we present the theoretical performance analysis of the proposed MAC protocol in detail and give an analytical solution of the success concurrent transmission probability between nodes. In addition, simulation results are provided to demonstrate that our proposed protocol is appropriate for UASNs and can significantly improve the performance in terms of network throughput and energy consumption. 12Adaptive Retransmission Design for Wireless Federated Edge Learning显示文摘As a popular distributed machine learning framework,wireless federated edge learning(FEEL)can keep original data local,while uploading model training updates to protect privacy and prevent data silos.However,since wireless channels are usually unreliable,there is no guarantee that the model updates uploaded by local devices are correct,thus greatly degrading the performance of the wireless FEEL.Conventional retransmission schemes designed for wireless systems generally aim to maximize the system throughput or minimize the packet error rate,which is not suitable for the FEEL system.A novel retransmission scheme is proposed for the FEEL system to make a tradeoff between model training accuracy and retransmission latency.In the proposed scheme,a retransmission device selection criterion is first designed based on the channel condition,the number of local data,and the importance of model updates.In addition,we design the air interface signaling under this retransmission scheme to facilitate the implementation of the proposed scheme in practical scenarios.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed retransmission scheme is validated through simulation experiments.XU Xinyi LIU Shengli YU Guanding 2023ZTE Communications2023,21,1:0
