| 1 | Iontophoretic Delivery of Riboflavin into the Rabbit Cornea:a Primary Study显示文摘Purpose: To determine the penetrability of riboflavin into the corneal stroma by iontophoresis and to compare the permeability effects of different solvents.Methods: Twenty rabbits were randomly divided into four groups: a group that received 0.1% riboflavin-balanced salt solution(BSS) by iontophoresis, a group that received 0.1%riboflavin-saline solution by iontophoresis, a group that received 0.1% riboflavin-distilled water solution by iontophoresis, and a control group that received classical riboflavin instillation after corneal de-epithelialization. The degree of yellowing of the de-epithelialized corneal stromal button from each rabbit was compared.Results: The yellow color scores for the corneal stromal buttons in the three iontophoresis groups were compared with those of control group. Iontophoretic delivery of a 0.1% riboflavin-distilled water solution yielded similar yellow changes in the corneal stromal button when compared with classical riboflavin instillation after de-epithelialization. However, the other two solvents did not sufficiently enhance the permeability of riboflavin.Conclusion: Riboflavin can effectively penetrate into the corneal stroma to saturation levels by iontophoresis. | 10 | Thermal stability and sputtering resistance under irradiation of yttria dispersed ferrum films显示文摘Oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) steels are considered as potential candidates for high temperature applications in fusion reactors be-cause of their excellent thermal creep behavior. In the present work, the double-target magnetron co-sputtering method was recommended to prepare yttria dispersed ferrum films. Vacuum annealing and ion irradiation were carried out to study the surface topography and structural features of the prepared yttria dispersed ferrum samples. Experiments proved that while the yttria doping ratio in the ferrum film increases, the recrystallization temperature of the film will be enhanced and the sputtering damage by Xenon ion irradiation will be lowered. | 11 | Variation in Central Corneal Thickness during Open- or Closed-Eye Riboflavin Instillation for Corneal Collagen Cross-linking显示文摘Purpose:To assess the effect of having an open or closed eye on the variation in central corneal thickness during riboflavin instillation for corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL).Methods:.Thirty eyes of 15 New Zealand White rabbits underwent an in vivo anterior segment optical coherence tomography (OCT) examination at 0,10,20,and 30 min after riboflavin instillation on the de-epithelialized corneal surface.Each eye of every rabbit was randomly placed into one of two different treatment groups(open-eye or closed-eye)during the instillation;.the examinations were performed one after the other.After instillation for 30 min,the changes in the corneal stroma and anterior chamber were observed by slit lamp.Results:.A significant decrease in the central corneal thickness(CCT).was demonstrated during riboflavin instillation;.the variations were smaller in the measurements performed with the eye closed than with the eye open.(81.36±15.13μm and129.20±12.05μm respectively)..Both methods turned the corneal stroma and anterior chamber yellow.Conclusion:Keeping the eye closed during riboflavin instillation reduced the decrease in the CCT..The same yellow change in the corneal stroma and anterior chamber occurred,but the exposure time of the ocular surface was shorter.Therefore,.keeping the eye closed was a more effective and safer method than keeping the eye open. | Na Li Xiujun Peng Zhengjun Fan Xu Pang Yu Xia | 2013 | Eye Science2013,28,4: | 0 |

| 16 | Research on the Marine Antifouling Ability and Mechanism of Acrylate Copolymers and Marine Coatings Based on a Synergistic Effect显示文摘Marine biofouling is an urgent global problem in the process of ocean exploitation and utilization.In our work,a series of zinc-based acrylate copolymers(ACZn-x)were designed and synthesized using benzoic acid,zinc oxide(ZnO)and a random quaternion copolymer consisting of ethyl acrylate(EA),butyl acrylate(BA),acrylic acid(AA)and methacrylic acid(MAA)by free radical polymerization and dehydration condensation.The ACZn-x with a zinc benzoate side chain is able to hydrolyze in natural seawater under static conditions,resulting in the formation of a smooth surface.We investigated and confirmed the antifouling(AF)behavior of ACZn-x in the laboratory and revealed that they have better antibacterial(86%for S.aureus and 72%for E.coli)and anti-algal(≥60.1%for N.closterium and≥67.5%for P.subcordiformis)activities.We also assessed the marine AF properties of ACZn-x and corresponding coatings in Qingdao,China;the ACZn-x exhibited ideal AF properties with little silt and biological mucosa adhered to the ACZn-x surface after 6 months,and corresponding coatings exhibited little biofouling after 16 months in the ocean.Importantly,possible AF mechanisms were further proposed at the cellular level.These results could be helpful for the development and application of effective AF coatings. | ZHOU Wenjun ZHOU Yu NI Chunhua YU Liangmin YUAN Zhengjun LI Changcheng YAN Xuefeng | 2023 | Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,3: | 0 |
