1High-sensitivity self-powered temperature/pressure sensor based on flexible Bi-Te thermoelectric film and porous microconed elastomer显示文摘Electronic skins are artificial skin-type multifunctional sensors,which hold great potentials in intelligent robotics,limb prostheses and human health monitoring.However,it is a great challenge to independently and accurately read various physical signals without power supplies.Here,a self-powered flexible temperature-pressure bimodal sensor based on high-performance thermoelectric films and porous microconed conductive elastic materials is presented.Through introducing flexible heat-sink design and harvesting body heat energy,the thin-film thermoelectric device could not only precisely sense temperature signal but also drive the pressure sensor for detecting external tactile stimulus.The integration of Bi-Te based thermoelectric film with high stability in wide temperature range enables the sensor to sense the ambient temperature with high resolution(<0.1 K)as well as excellent sensitivity(3.77 mV K^(-1)).Meanwhile,the porous microconed elastomer responds to pressure variation with low-pressure detection(16 Pa)and a high sensitivity of 37 kPa^(-1).Furthermore,the bimodal sensor could accurately and simultaneously monitor human wrist pulse and body temperature in real time,which demonstrates promising applications in self-powered electronic skins for human health monitoring systems.Yaling Wang Wei Zhu Yuan Deng Pengcheng Zhu Yuedong Yu Shaoxiong Hu Ruifeng Zhang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,8:4
2Simultaneous Extraction of Carboxylated Celulose Nanocrystals and Nanofibrils via Citric Acid Hydrolysis--A Sustainable Route显示文摘In this study, cellulose nanocrystals(CNC) with surface carboxylic groups were prepared from bleached softwood pulp by hydrolysis with concentrated citric acid at concentrations of 60 wt%~80 wt%. The solid residues from acid hydrolysis were collected for producing cellulose nanofibrils(CNF) via post high-pressure homogenization. Citric acid could be easily recovered after hydrolysis reactions through crystallization due to its low water solubility or through precipitation as a calcium salt followed by acidification. Several important properties of CNC and CNF, such as dimension, crystallinity, surface chemistry, thermal stability, were evaluated. Results showed that the obtained CNC and CNF surfaces contained carboxylic acid groups that facilitated functionalization and dispersion in aqueous processing. The recyclability of citric acid and the carboxylated CNC/CNF give the renewable cellulose nanomaterial huge potential for a wide range of industrial applications. Furthermore, the resultant CNC and CNF were used as reinforcing agents to make sodium carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC) films. Both CNC and CNF showed reinforcing effects in CMC composite films. The tensile strength of CMC films increased by 54.3% and 85.7% with 10 wt% inclusion of CNC and CNF, respectively. 4Lactulose mediates suppression of dextran sulfate sodium-induced colon inflammation显示文摘Objective:Assessment of digestion colonic flora lactulose can be induced to produce hydrogen and prove lactulose with a potential anti-inflammatory effects. Methods:We established a mouse model of human ulcerative colitis (UC) by supplying mice with water containing dextran sulfate sodium (DSS). At 7-day, DSS-induced pathogenic outcomes, including loss of body weight, increase of colitis score, pathogenic shortening of colon length, elevated level of TNF-α, IL-1β, malondialdehyde (MDA) and myeloperoxidase (MPO) deficiency in colon lesions, were significantly suppressed by lactulose administration and intraperitoneally injected hydrogen water. Results:After eliminating colon microflora by antibiotics, the anti-inflammatory effects of lactulose were significantly compromised. Histological analysis also revealed that the DSS mediated colonic tissue destruction accompanied by neutrophils infiltration was remarkably suppressed by lactulose and hydrogen water. 5Nanocatalytic bacteria disintegration reverses immunosuppression of colorectal cancer显示文摘Tumor-associated bacteria(TAB)play a critically important role in regulating the microenvironment of a tumor,which consequently greatly deteriorates the therapeutic effects by chemo-and radiotherapy deactivation and,more considerably,leads to substantial immunosuppression.On the contrary,herein we propose a nanocatalytic tumor-immunotherapeutic modality based on the bacteria disintegration by bacteria-specific oxidative damage under magnetic hyperthermia for highly effective immune response activation-promoted tumor regression.A monodispersed and superparamagnetic nanocatalytic medicine modified by arginyl-glycyl-aspartic acid(RGD)and(3-carboxypropyl)triphenylphosphonium bromide(TPP),named as MNP-RGD-TPP herein,has been synthesized,which features selective accumulation at the TAB by the electrostatic affinity,enabling effective TAB disintegration by the nanocatalytic Fenton reaction producing abundant cytotoxic hydroxyl radicals in situ under alternating magnetic field-induced hyperthermia.More importantly,the lipopolysaccharide has been metabolically secreted from the destructed TAB as pathogen-associated molecular patterns(PAMPs)to M1-polarize tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)and promote the maturation of dendritic cells(DCs)for innate immuno-response activation of TAMs,followed by cytotoxic T lymphocytes awakening under the PAMPs presentation by the mature DCs against tumor cells.The integrated innate and adaptive immunity activations based on this TAB-promoted nanocatalytic immunomedicine,instead of magnetic heating-induced hyperthermia or the released Fe2+/Fe3+Fenton agent,has been found to achieve excellent therapeutic efficacy in an orthotopic colorectal cancer model,demonstrating the great potential of such an integrated immunity strategy in clinical tumor immunotherapy.Han Jiang Yuedong Guo Zhiguo Yu Ping Hu Jianlin Shi 2022National Science Review2022,9,11:1

8Sustainable preparation and characterization of thermally stable and functional cellulose nanocrystals and nanofibrils via formic acid hydrolysis显示文摘In this work,a sustainable method to prepare functional cellulose nanocrystals(CNCs)and cellulose nanofibrils(CNFs)using formic acid(FA)(a recoverable organic acid)was established.After FA hydrolysis,the obtained CNCs could be well dispersed in DMAC.Thus,the CNC products and fibrous cellulosic solid residue(FCSR)in DMAC could be easily separated by a conventional centrifugal process,and the collected FCSR could be further fibrillated to CNFs with relatively low-intensity mechanical fibrillation process.The isolated CNC products showed high crystallinity index(about 75%)and excellent thermal stability(with onset thermal degradation temperature of 325℃).Both the resultant CNCs and CNFs showed better dispersibility in DMSO,DMF and DMAC respectively because of the introduction of ester groups on the surface of the products.The presence of surface ester groups could increase the interface compatibility of nanocelluloses with polymeric matrices and enable their applications in reinforcing polymeric matrix materials(e.g.the composite films like PHVB+CNFs).Haishun Du Chao Liu Dong Wang Yuedong Zhang Guang Yu Chuanling Si Bin Li Xindong Mu Hui Peng 2017Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2017,2,1:1

11Recent progress on the pretreatment and fractionation of lignocelluloses for biorefinery at QIBEBT显示文摘Pretreatment and fractionation are amongst the key steps for the conversion of lignocelluloses to sustainable biofuels,biomaterials or biochemicals,as pretreatment/fractionation can break the natural recalcitrance of lignocelluloses,improving the conversion efficiency of downstream processes.This paper reviews the recent progress on the pretreatment and fractionation of lignocelluloses for biorefinery at the Chinese Academy of Sciences-Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology(QIBEBT).The main technologies developed at the QIBEBT in recent years include alkaline twin-screw extrusion pretreatment,modified alkali pretreatment,hydrogen peroxide-assisted sodium carbonate pretreatment,fractionation with formic acid,as well as the two-step fractionation by hot water treatment coupling ammonium sulfite treatment.With the development of these technologies,a pilot scale platform for the pretreatment and saccharification of biomass has been established in the pilot plant of QIBEBT.Bin Li Chao Liu Guang Yu Yuedong Zhang Haisong Wang Xindong Mu Hui Peng 2017Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2017,2,1:0
12Ameliorated enzymatic saccharification of corn stover with a novel modified alkali pretreatment显示文摘Enzymatic saccharification/hydrolysis is one of the key steps for the bioconversion of lignocelluloses into sustainable biofuels.In this work,corn stover was pretreated with a novel modified alkali process(NaOH+anthraquinone(AQ)+sodium lignosulfonate(SLS)),and then enzymatically hydrolyzed with an enzyme cocktail(cellulase(Celluclast 1.5L),β-glucosidase(Novozyme 188)and xylanase(from thermomyceslanuginosus))in the pH range of 4.0-6.5.It was found that the suitable pH for the enzymatic saccharification process to achieve a high glucan yield was between 4.2 and 5.7,while the appropriate pH to obtain a high xylan yield was in the range of 4.0-4.7.The best pH for the enzymatic saccharification process was found to be 4.4 in terms of the final total sugar yield,as xylanase worked most efficiently in the pH range of 4.0-4.7,under the conditions in the study.The addition of xylanase in the enzymatic saccharification process could hydrolyze xylan in the substrates and reduce the nonspecific binding of cellulase,thus improving the total sugar yields.Guang Yu Huanfei Xu Chao Liu Paul DeRoussel Chunyan Zhang Yuedong Zhang Bin Li Haisong Wang Xindong Mu 2016Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2016,1,1:0
