GRAIN LENGTH AND AWN 1 negatively regulates grain size in rice显示文摘Grain size is an important factor determining yield in rice. Here, we identified a recessive mutant gene, grain length and awn 1 (gla1), which caused a significant increase in grain length and weight, and was associated with long awns. The gla1 mutation was mapped to a single-nucleotide polymorphism in a gene encoding a cytoplasmically-localized mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) phosphatase. Overexpression of GLA1 caused a decrease in grain length, and the GLA1 protein interacted with OsMAPK6. These results suggest that GLA1 may serve as a negative regulator of the OsMAPKK4-OsMAPK6 cascade, controlling grain size via the dephosphorylation of OsMAPK6. | Tao Wang Ting Zou Zhiyuan He Guoqiang Yuan Tao Luo Jun Zhu Yueyang Liang Qiming Deng Shiquan Wang Aiping Zheng Huainian Liu Lingxia Wang Ping Li Shuangcheng Li | 2019 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2019,61,10: | 7
Less and shrunken pollen 1(LSP1) encodes a member of the ABC transporter family required for pollen wall development in rice(Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Pollen fertility is an agronomic trait that strongly influences rice yield. Recent studies have revealed that the development of the pollen wall is required for pollen fertility and is regulated by several genes. However, the mechanisms underlying pollen and pollen wall development in rice remain largely unknown. In the present study, a point mutation in a gene on chromosome 1 was identified that resulted in the production of less and shrunken pollen(LSP) and led to defects in pollen wall formation. This gene was named LSP1 and was found to encode a member of the adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette(ABC)transporter G subfamily, OsABCG3. Two other loss-of-function mutants of LSP1/OsABCG3,generated using CRISPR/Cas9 technology, showed the same male sterile phenotype. The LSP1/OsABCG3 gene showed a spatio-temporal expression pattern in the developing anthers, and is an ortholog of the Arabidopsis genes At ABCG1 and At ABCG16, which play an important role in pollen wall development. Mutation of LSP1/OsABCG3 affected the expression of several genes involved in pollen and pollen wall formation. These results suggest that LSP1/OsABCG3 is critical for normal pollen fertility and shed light on the molecular mechanisms underlying rice pollen wall development. | Tao Luo Ting Zou Guoqiang Yuan Zhiyuan He Wenjie Li Yang Tao Miaomiao Liu Dan Zhou Hongfeng Zhao Jun Zhu Yueyang Liang Qiming Deng Shiquan Wang Aiping Zheng Huainian Liu Lingxia Wang Ping Li Shuangcheng Li | 2020 | The Crop Journal2020,8,3: | 4
Synthesis of Single-Crystalline Anatase TiO_2 Nanorods With High-Performance Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells显示文摘Single-crystalline anatase TiO_2 nanorods have been prepared by solvothermal method using tetrabutylammonium hydroxide(TBAH) as a morphology controlling agent. The obtained TiO_2 nanorods are dominated by a large percentage of {010} facets. The power conversion efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cell(DSSC) based on anatase TiO_2 nanorods(8.66%) exhibits a significant improvement(35%) compared to that of P25 TiO_2(5.66%).The high performance of the anatase TiO_2 nanorods solar cell is ascribed to their large percent of exposed {010} facets as well as balancing their surface areas and sizes. | Jin Liu Jun Luo Weiguang Yang Yali Wang Linyan Zhu Yueyang Xu Ying Tang Yajing Hu Chen Wang Yigang Chen Weimin Shi | 2015 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,1: | 2
Estrogen deficiency exacerbates learning and memory deficits associated with glucose metabolism disorder in APP/PS1 double transgenic female mice显示文摘Alterations in glucose metabolism occur in the brain in the early stage of Alzheimer's disease(AD),and menopausal women have more severe metabolic dysfunction and are more prone to dementia than men.Although estrogen deficiency-induced changes in glucose metabolism have been previously studied in animal models, their molecular mechanisms in AD remain elusive. To investigate this issue, double transgenic(APP/PS1)female mice were subjected to bilateral ovariectomy at 3 months of age and were sacrificed 1 week,1 month and 3 months after surgery to simulate early, middle and late postmenopause, respectively. Our analysis demonstrated that estrogen deficiency exacerbates learning and memory deficits in this mouse model of postmenopause.Estrogen deficiency impairs the function of mitochondria in glucose metabolism. It is possible that the occurrence of AD is associated with the aberrant mitochondrial ERβ-mediated IGF-1/IGF-1R/GSK-3βsignaling pathway. In this study,we established a potential mechanism for the increased risk of AD in postmenopausal women and proposed a therapeutic target for AD due to postmenopause. | Min Luo Qinghua Zeng Kai Jiang Yueyang Zhao Zhimin Long Yexiang Du Kejian Wang Guiqiong He | 2022 | Genes & Diseases2022,9,5: | 1
Data-driven soft sensors in blast furnace ironmaking:a survey显示文摘The blast furnace is a highly energy-intensive,highly polluting, and extremely complex reactor in the ironmaking process.Soft sensors are a key technology for predicting molten iron quality indices reflecting blast furnace energy consumption and operation stability, and play an important role in saving energy, reducing emissions, improving product quality, and producing economic benefits. With the advancement of the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence,data-driven soft sensors in blast furnace ironmaking processes have attracted increasing attention from researchers, but there has been no systematic review of the data-driven soft sensors in the blast furnace ironmaking process. This review covers the state-of-the-art studies of data-driven soft sensors technologies in the blast furnace ironmaking process.Specifically, wefirst conduct a comprehensive overview of various data-driven soft sensor modeling methods(multiscale methods, adaptive methods, deep learning, etc.)used in blast furnace ironmaking.Second, the important applications of data-driven soft sensors in blast furnace ironmaking(silicon content, molten iron temperature, gas utilization rate, etc.)are classified. Finally, the potential challenges and future development trends of data-driven soft sensors in blast furnace ironmaking applications are discussed, including digital twin,multi-source data fusion, and carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. | Yueyang LUO Xinmin ZHANG Manabu KANO Long DENG Chunjie YANG Zhihuan SONG | 2023 | Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2023,24,3: | 0
