1Genetics of macrovascular complications in type 2 diabetes显示文摘Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)is a metabolic disorder that currently affects more than 400 million worldwide and is projected to cause 552 million cases by the year 2030.Long-term vascular complications,such as coronary artery disease,myocardial infarction,stroke,are the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among diabetic patients.The recent advances in genome-wide technologies have given a powerful impetus to the study of risk markers for multifactorial diseases.To date,the role of genetic and epigenetic factors in modulating susceptibility to T2DM and its vascular complications is being successfully studied that provides the accumulation of genomic knowledge.In the future,this will provide an opportunity to reveal the pathogenetic pathways in the development of the disease and allow to predict the macrovascular complications in T2DM patients.This review is focused on the evidence of the role of genetic variants and epigenetic changes in the development of macrovascular pathology in diabetic patients.Ziravard N Tonyan Yulia A Nasykhova Maria M Danilova Andrey S Glotov 2021World Journal of Diabetes2021,12,8:2
2Recent advances and perspectives in next generation sequencing application to the genetic research of type 2 diabetes显示文摘Type 2 diabetes(T2D)mellitus is a common complex disease that currently affects more than 400 million people worldwide and has become a global health problem.High-throughput sequencing technologies such as whole-genome and whole-exome sequencing approaches have provided numerous new insights into the molecular bases of T2D.Recent advances in the application of sequencing technologies to T2D research include,but are not limited to:(1)Fine mapping of causal rare and common genetic variants;(2)Identification of confident genelevel associations;(3)Identification of novel candidate genes by specific scoring approaches;(4)Interrogation of disease-relevant genes and pathways by transcriptional profiling and epigenome mapping techniques;and(5)Investigation of microbial community alterations in patients with T2D.In this work we review these advances in application of next-generation sequencing methods for elucidation of T2D pathogenesis,as well as progress and challenges in implementation of this new knowledge about T2D genetics in diagnosis,prevention,and treatment of the disease.Yulia A Nasykhova Yury A Barbitoff Elena A Serebryakova Dmitry S Katserov Andrey S Glotov 2019World Journal of Diabetes2019,10,7:2

12Taxonomic Composition and Spatial Distribution of Meiofauna Community from a Sandy Intertidal Zone in Sishili Bay, Yellow Sea Coast (Northern China)显示文摘The meiofauna composition and trophic groups of the nematode communities have been studied at a sandy intertidal zone in Sishili Bay along the Yantai coast(Yellow Sea,China).Nematoda was dominant among the 11 groups of meiofauna.The meiofaunal densities were low,ranging between 111±47 and 542±131 ind./10 cm^(2).Results obtained from the correlation analysis made it possible to determine several factors that influence species composition and distribution.Generally,sediment granulometry significantly affected the communities.The highest abundance was found in fine-grained sediments(318.77±126 ind./10 cm^(2))com-pared to coarse-grained sediments(175±82 ind./10 cm2).Nematodes were predominant in all studied sites.A total of 70 species be-longing to 52 genera and 18 families were identified in the study area.There was a significant difference in nematode abundance(ANOVA,F=2.38,P<0.05)between the three sites.Nematode communities were characterized by a high level of species diversity in sediments composed mainly of very-fine sands(>63μm),with dominant species belonging to the genus Bathylaimus,Ptycho-laimellus,Spirinia,and Sabatieria.The trophic groups were dominated by non-selective deposit feeders(40.7%)and epistrate feed-ers(41.29%).In contrast,the species composition in medium grain sands was characterized by a low species diversity index and a high Simpson dominance index.Nematode communities showed similar dominant species compositions belonging to a single genus Bathylaimus,Enoplolaimus,and Oncholaimus,and in terms of trophic structure-representatives of deposit feeders(46.15%),preda-tors,and omnivores(64.71%)prevailed.The divergence of meiofaunal community structures can be explained by abiotic factors such as sediment grain size,salinity,and organic carbon content.Specifically,sediment particle size can explain the diversity of nematodes at the level of in abundance,diversity indices,and trophic structure.The highest nematode density and diversity coincided with the highest percentage of very fine sands.PAVLYUK Olga N TREBUKHOVA Yulia A SHCHERBAKOV Ilya A TARASOVA Tatiana S LUTAENKO Konstantin A CHEN Linlin SONG Bo LI Xiaojing LI Baoquan 2022Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,5:0
13Apoptosis and endometrial receptivity: Relationship with in vitro fertilization treatment outcome显示文摘Apoptosis is an important process in the reconstruction of endometrium within the menstrual cycle. The balance between cell proliferation and apoptosis regulates the periodic repair and shedding of endometrial cells and leads to the menstruation or prepare the mucosal layer of endometrium for the implantation of the embryo. Many factors with pro- and antiapoptotic action, such as B cell lymphoma/leukemia-2 and inhibitors apoptosis proteins families, caspases, tumor necrosis factor receptors, phosphatase and tensin homolog, proliferator-activated receptor gamma, micro RNAs and others are differently expressed in the endometrial tissue at phases of menstrual cycle. Receptivity of the endometrium at the period of 'window of implantation' is associated with the significant increase of apoptosis in endometrium to allow the embryo to be successfully implanted. The impairment of apoptosis regulation in the endometrium at this period often is observed in infertile women with endometriosis, tubal factor, polycystic ovary syndrome, etc.. In many cases the impairment of apoptosis regulation in the endometrium is the main cause of in vitro fertilization(IVF) treatment failure in these patients. As of today, the exact mechanisms and factors mediating the apoptotic process in normal endometrium and in infertile women are not fully understood. Herein, the literature data concerning the endometrial apoptosis regulation in general, and in light of the influence of apoptosis upon IVF treatment outcome are reviewed.
