1QTG-Seq Accelerates QTL Fine Mapping through QTL Partitioning and Whole-Genome Sequencing of Bulked Segregant Samples显示文摘Deciphering the genetic mechanisms underlying agronomic traits is of great importance for crop improvement. Most of these traits are controlled by multiple quantitative trait loci (QTLs), and identifying the underlying genes by conventional QTL fine-mapping is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Here, we devised a new method, named quantitative trait gene sequencing (QTG-seq), to accelerate QTL fine-mapping. QTGseq combines QTL partitioning to convert a quantitative trait into a near-qualitative trait, sequencing of bulked segregant pools from a large segregating population, and the use of a robust new algorithm for identifying candidate genes. Using QTG-seq, we fine-mapped a plant-height QTL in maize (Zea mays L.), qPH7, to a 300-kb genomic interval and verified that a gene encoding an NF-YC transcription factor was the functional gene. Functional analysis suggested that qPH7-encoding protein might influence plant height by interacting with a CO-like protein and an AP2 domain-containing protein. Selection footprint ana卜 ysis indicated that qPH7 was subject to strong selection during maize improvement. 2Minor alloying behavior in bulk metallic glasses and high-entropy alloys显示文摘The effect of minor alloying on several bulk metallic glasses and high-entropy al-loys was studied. It was found that minor Nb addition can optimize the interface structure between the W fiber and the Zr-based bulk metallic glass in the compos-ites,and improve the mechanical properties. Minor Y addition can destabilize the crystalline phases by inducing lattice distortion as a result to improve the glass-forming ability,and the lattice distortion energy is closely related to the effi-ciency of space filling of the competing crystalline phases. A long-period ordered structure can precipitate in the Mg-based bulk metallic glass by yttrium alloying. 3Effect of component substitution on the microstructure and mechanical properties of MCoCrFeNiTi_x (M = Cu, Al) solid-solution alloys显示文摘MCoCrFeNiTix (M = Cu, Al; x: molar ratio, x = 0, 0.5) alloys were prepared using the new alloy-design strategy of equal-atomic ratio and high entropy. By the component substitution of Al for Cu, the microstructure changes from the face-centered cubic solid solution of original CuCoCrFeNiTix alloys to the body-centered cubic solid solution of AlCoCrFeNiTix alloys. 7Numerical studies of reverse flows controlled by undulating leading edge显示文摘The improved delayed detached-eddy simulation(IDDES) method is used to simulate the reverse flows past an NACA0012 airfoil at medium(10°) and large(30°) angles of attack. The numerical results of the baseline configuration are compared with the available measurements. The effects of the undulating leading edge with four different amplitudes are compared and analyzed at angle of attack of 10°. Based on these analyses, the amplitude of A/C=0.04 yields the best performance. Compared with the uncontrolled case, the performances of the undulating leading edge are greatly improved with reducing of the aerodynamic fluctuations. 8Highly efficient green InP-based quantum dot light-emitting diodes regulated by inner alloyed shell component显示文摘InP-based quantum dot light-emitting diodes(QLEDs),as less toxic than Cd-free and Pb-free optoelectronic devices,have become the most promising benign alternatives for the next generation lighting and display.However,the development of green-emitting InP-based QLEDs still remains a great challenge to the environmental preparation of InP quantum dots(QDs)and superior device performance.Herein,we reported the highly efficient green-emitting InP-based QLEDs regulated by the inner alloyed shell components.Based on the environmental phosphorus tris(dimethylamino)phosphine((DMA)3P),we obtained highly efficient InP-based QDs with the narrowest full width at half maximum(~35 nm)and highest quantum yield(~97%)by inserting the gradient inner shell layer ZnSe_(x)S_(1-x)without further post-treatment.More importantly,we concretely discussed the effect and physical mechanism of ZnSe_(x)S_(1-x)layer on the performance of QDs and QLEDs through the characterization of structure,luminescence,femtosecond transient absorption,and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy.We demonstrated that the insert inner alloyed shell ZnSe_(x)S_(1-x)provided bifunctionality,which diminished the interface defects upon balancing the lattice mismatch and tailored the energy levels of InP-based QDs which could promote the balanced carrier injection.The resulting QLEDs applying the InP/ZnSe_(0.7)S_(0.3)/ZnS QDs as an emitter layer exhibited a maximum external quantum efficiency of 15.2%with the electroluminescence peak of 532 nm,which was almost the highest record of InP-based pure green-emitting QLEDs.These results demonstrated the applicability and processability of inner shell component engineering in the preparation of high-quallity InP-based QLEDs.Peng Yu Sheng Cao Yuliang Shan Yuhe Bi Yaqi Hu Ruosheng Zeng Bingsuo Zou Yunjun Wang Jialong Zhao 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,7:1
