1Function of note strings in Japanese Tit alarm calls to the Common Cuckoo:a playback experiment显示文摘Background: Birds produce alarm calls to convey information about threats. Some Passerine alarm calls consist of several note strings, but few studies have examined their function. Previous studies have shown that Japanese Tits(Parus minor) can alter the calling rate and number and combination of notes in response to predators. We previously found the combinations of note types in Japanese Tit alarm calls to be significantly different in response to the Sparrowhawk(Accipiter nisus) and Common Cuckoo(Cuculus canorus).Methods: Through playback experiments, we tested whether the note strings in Japanese Tit alarm calls to the Common Cuckoo have different functions in conveying information. The note strings of selected alarm calls were divided into the categories of C and D, and different calls were then constructed separately based on the two note string categories. Original alarm calls(C–D), C calls and D calls were played back to male Japanese Tits during the incubation period.Results: Male Japanese Tits had a significantly stronger response to C calls than to C–D calls, and they showed a significantly stronger response to both C and C–D calls than to D calls, suggesting that Japanese Tits discriminated between the C and D calls.Conclusions: Our study demonstrated that the C-and D-category note strings of Japanese Tit alarm calls to the Common Cuckoo have different functions, which supports the previous finding that different note strings in an alarm call can provide different information to receivers. 2Analysis of the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties during Inertia Friction Welding of the Near-α TA19 Titanium Alloy显示文摘The current research of titanium alloy on friction welding process in the field of aero-engines mainly focuses on the linear friction welding.Compared to the linear friction welding,inertial friction welding of titanium alloy still has important application position in the welding of aero-engine rotating assembly.However,up to now,few reports on inertial friction welding of titanium alloy are found.In this paper,the near-alpha TA19 titanium alloy welded joint was successfully obtained by inertial friction welding(IFW)process.The microstructures and mechanical properties were investigated systematically.Results showed that the refined grains within 15‒20μm and weak texture were found in the weld zone due to dynamic recrystallization caused by high temperature and plastic deformation.The weld zone consisted of acicularα′martensite phase,αp phase and metastableβphase.Most lath-shapedαs andβphase in base metal were transformed into acicular martensiteα′phase and metastableβphase in thermo-mechanically affected zone and heat affected zone.As a result,the microhardness of welded joint gradually decreased from the weld zone to the base metal.Tensile specimens in room temperature and high temperature of 480℃ were all fractured in base metal illustrating that the inertia friction welded TA19 titanium alloy joint owned higher tensile strength compared to the base metal.Yanquan Wu Chunbo Zhang Jun Zhou Wu Liang Yunlei Li 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,6:3
3Least Squares Support Vector Machine Kalman Filter for Physiological Tremor Suppression in Minimally Invasive Surgical Robot显示文摘This paper studies the physiological tremor filtering in minimally invasive surgical robot.The surgeon��s physiological tremor of the hand can cause the vibration of the tip of the surgical instrument,which may reduce operative accuracy and limit the application of surgical robots.Aiming at the vibration caused by physiological tremor of hand,we propose a Least Squares Support Vector Machine Kalman Filter(LSSVMKF),which can filter the tremor by estimating and modeling the tremor signal by Kalman filter and then superimposing it reversely in the control signal.When estimating and modeling the tremor signal,the filter uses the Least Squares Support Vector Machine(LS⁃SVM)to build the regression model of the constant parameters(Process Noise Covariance and Measurement Noise Covariance)of the traditional Kalman filter,which can dynamically adjust these parameters during the operation and improve the accuracy of Kalman filter.The simulation results show that the LSSVMKF can effectively filter out the tremor signal,thereby improving the accuracy of surgery.Jiandong Dai Zhijiang Du Zhiyuan Yan Yunlei Liang 2020Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology(New Series)2020,27,5:0
