1Combustion characteristics of semicokes derived from pyrolysis of low rank bituminous coal显示文摘Various semicokes were obtained from medium-low temperature pyrolysis of Dongrong long flame coal.The proximate analysis,calorific value and Hardgrove grindability index(HGI) of semicokes were determined,and the ignition temperature,burnout temperature,ignition index,burnout index,burnout ratio,combustion characteristic index of semicokes were measured and analyzed using thermogravimetry analysis(TGA).The effects of pyrolysis temperature,heating rate,and pyrolysis time on yield,composition and calorific value of long flame coal derived semicokes were investigated,especially the influence of pyrolysis temperature on combustion characteristics and grindability of the semicokes was studied combined with X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis of semicokes.The results show that the volatile content,ash content and calorific value of semicokes pyrolyzed at all process parameters studied meet the technical specifications of the pulverized coal-fired furnaces(PCFF) referring to China Standards GB/T 7562-1998.The pyrolysis temperature is the most influential factor among pyrolysis process parameters.As pyrolysis temperature increases,the yield,ignition index,combustion reactivity and burnout index of semicokes show a decreasing tend,but the ash content increases.In the range of 400 and 450 °C,the grindability of semicokes is rational,especially the grindability of semicokes pyrolyzed at 450 °C is suitable.Except for the decrease of volatile content and increase of ash content,the decrease of combustion performance of semicokes pyrolyzed at higher temperature should be attributed to the improvement of the degree of structural ordering and the increase of aromaticity and average crystallite size of char.It is concluded that the semicokes pyrolyzed at the temperature of 450 °C is the proper fuel for PCFF.Qian wei Xie Qiang Huang Yuyi Dang Jiatao Sun Kaidi Yang Qian Wang Jincao 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,5:10
2The combined therapeutic effects of ^(131)iodinelabeled multifunctional copper sulfide-loaded microspheres in treating breast cancer显示文摘Compared to conventional cancer treatment, combination therapy based on well-designed nanoscale platforms may offer an opportunity to eliminate tumors and reduce recurrence and metastasis.In this study, we prepared multifunctional microspheres loading ^(131)I-labeled hollow copper sulfide nanoparticles and paclitaxel( ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX) for imaging and therapeutics of W256/B breast tumors in rats.18 F-fluordeoxyglucose(18 F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT) imaging detected that the expansion of the tumor volume was delayed(Po0.05) following intra-tumoral(i.t.) injection with ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX plus near-infrared(NIR) irradiation. The immunohistochemical analysis further confirmed the anti-tumor effect. The single photon emission computed tomography(SPECT)/photoacoustic imaging mediated by ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX demonstrated that microspheres were mainly distributed in the tumors with a relatively low distribution in other organs. Our results revealed that ^(131)I-HCu SNPs-MS-PTX offered combined photothermal, chemo-and radio-therapies, eliminating tumors at a relatively low dose, as well as allowing SPECT/CT and photoacoustic imaging monitoring of distribution of the injected agents non-invasively. 6Comparison of survival prediction values of different scoring models for patients undergoing transjugular intrahepatic portal shunt:A multicenter retrospective study显示文摘Aim:The aim of this study is to compare the prognostic values of the Child–Pugh,integrated model for end‐stage liver disease(iMELD),albumin–bilirubin(ALBI),and Freiburg index of postsurvival(FIPS)scores in patients undergoing transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS).Methods:We conducted a multicenter retrospective study including patients who underwent TIPS by collecting data from several hospitals in southwest China between January 2014 and February 2021.We compared the performance of different scoring models for survival prediction in these patients.The performance of each scoring model was assessed via area under the receiver‐operating characteristic(AUROC)curve analysis.Results:The study included 378 TIPS patients(268 men,110 women;median age 52[interquartile range,45–60]years).Age;cirrhosis etiology;ascites severity;albumin levels;international normalized ratio;total bilirubin levels;sodium levels;and Child–Pugh,iMELD,ALBI,and FIPS scores were significant prognostic factors in cirrhotic patients who underwent TIPS.The Child–Pugh,iMELD,ALBI,and FIPS scores were all independent predictors of survival in TIPS patients.Survival analysis showed that all scoring models effectively stratified the prognostic risk of these patients.The Child–Pugh score was the best predictor of postoperative survival,followed by the ALBI and FIPS scores.The iMELD score was the worst predictor.The Child–Pugh,iMELD,ALBI,and FIPS scores predicted the 1‐year postoperative survival,with AUROC values of 0.832,0.677,0.761,and 0.745,respectively,and the 3‐year postoperative survival,with AUROC values of 0.710,0.668,0.721,and 0.658,respectively.The calibration curve showed that the Child–Pugh,ALBI,and FIPS models performed well in predicting 1‐and 3‐year survival,whereas the iMELD model was a poor predictor.Conclusions:The four scoring models can predict survival in cirrhotic patients after TIPS and can effectively stratify prognostic risk.The Child–Pugh score may be more suitable for predicting survival after TIPS in patients with liver cirrhosis.Yuyi Liu Zhiyong Mu Wei Xiong Hong Hu Aimin Liu Xuan An Yuqiang Xu Haohong Yu Jinneng Wang Jun Wang Xiao Xiao Dongfeng Chen Liangzhi Wen 2022Portal Hypertension & Cirrhosis2022,1,2:1
7Acupoint application therapies for essential hypertension:a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupoint application therapies(AA)for hypertension.METHODS:We searched Pub Med,EMBASE,the Cochrane Center Controlled Trials Register,Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure,Chinese Scientific Journal Database,and Wanfang Med Online Database from their inceptions to October 7,2019.No language restriction was applied.We included randomized clinical trials testing AA against Western Medicine,AA versus placebo,AA combined with Western Medicine versus Western Medicine.Study selection,data extraction,quality assessment,and data analyses were conducted according to the Cochrane standards.RESULTS:Totally 41 trials with 3772 participants were included.The methodological quality of the included trials was evaluated as generally low.AA plus Western Medicine significantly lowered systolic blood pressure(BP)[weighted mean difference(WMD):-10.36,95%confidence intervals(CI):-12.62,-8.10;P<0.00001],diastolic BP(WMD:-5.71,95%CI:-7.30,-4.13;P<0.00001),and total effect[risk ratio(RR):1.23,95%CI:1.15,1.32;P<0.00001].The BP-lowering effect of AA was significantly higher than that of placebo[systolic BP(SBP):-8.05,95%CI:-8.67,-7.43;P<0.00001;diastolic BP(DBP):-6.66,95%CI:-7.31,-6.01,P<0.00001].The total effect also improved significantly from baseline with AA than placebo(RR:10.85,95%CI:4.71,24.98;P<0.00001).Traditional Chinese Medicine symptoms score were significantly reduced by AA compared with Western Medicine(WMD:-1.75,95%CI:-2.52,-0.99;P<0.00001),10 trials reported adverse events,indicating that the safety of SSYX Capsule is still uncertain.CONCLUSIONS:Application therapies may be considered a safe and beneficial for the treatment of hypertension and can reduce BP and improve the total effect.Further well-designed trials are needed to support our conclusions.LIU Wei XIONG Xingjiang QIAO Lumin CHEN Yuyi LI Yixuan SU Xing CHU Fuyong LIU Hongxu 2022Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,2:1
8Analysis of Sea Surface Temperature Cooling in Typhoon Events Passing the Kuroshio Current显示文摘The aim of this study is to investigate the sea surface temperature(SST) cooling as typhoons pass the Kuroshio Current.A numerical circulation model,denoted as the Stony Brook Parallel Ocean Model(sbPOM),was used to simulate the SST,which includes four wave-induced effect terms(i.e.,radiation stress,nonbreaking waves,Stokes drift,and breaking waves) simulated using the third-generation wave model,called WAVEWATCH-Ⅲ(WW3).The significant wave height(SWH) measurements from the Jason-2 altimeter were used to validate the WW3-simulated results,yielding a root mean square error(RMSE) of less than 0.50 m and a correlation coefficient(COR) of approximately 0.93.The water temperature measured from the Advanced Research and Global Observation Satellite was applied to validate the model simulation.Accordingly,the RMSE of the SST is 0.92℃ with a COR of approximately 0.99.As revealed in the sbPOM-simulated SST fields,a reduction in the SST at the Kuroshio Current region was observed as a typhoon passed,although the water temperature of the Kuroshio Current is relatively high.The variation of the SST is consistent with that of the current,whereas the maximum SST lagged behind the occurrence of the peak SWH.Moreover,the Stokes drift plays an important role in the SST cooling after analyzing four wave-induced terms in the background of the Kuroshio Current.The sensitivity experiment also showed that the accuracy of the water temperature was significantly reduced when including breaking waves,which play a negative role in the inside part of the ocean.The variation in the mean mixing layer depth(MLD) showed that a typhoon could enhance the mean MLD in the Kuroshio Current area in September and October,whereas a typhoon has little influence on the mean MLD in the Kuroshio Current area in May.Moreover,the mean MLD rapidly decreased with the weakening of the strong wind force and wave-induced effects when a typhoon crossed the Kuroshio Current.HU Yuyi SHAO Weizeng SHEN Wei ZUO Juncheng JIANG Tao HU Song 2024Journal of Ocean University of China2024,23,2:0
9L-Band Analysis of the Effects of Oil Slicks on Sea Wave Characteristics显示文摘The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of sea surface waves as they pass through oil slicks.The parameterized first-guess spectrum method(PFSM)theory-based wave retrieval algorithm was applied to 20 images of horizontal-horizontal(HH)polarization obtained using the phased-array L-band synthetic aperture radar(SAR)(PALSAR)on the Advanced Land Observing Satellite(ALOS-1).The images were collocated with simulations from the WAVEWATCH-Ⅲ(WW3)model in a 0.1°grid using the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ECMWF)reanalysis(ERA-5)winds data as the forcing field.The validation of the model-simulated significant wave height(SWH)against the measurements from the Jason-2 altimeter produced a 0.66m root mean square error(RMSE)for the SWH,with a coefficient(COR)0.74.In this sense,the WW3-simulated waves were reliable for our work.A comparison between the SAR retrieval results and the WW3 simulations was performed using the dataset for the regions without oil slicks,which produced a 0.34m RMSE for the SWH,with a COR of 0.79,which is less than a the RMSE of 0.52 m and the COR of 0.70 for the regions with oil slicks.Moreover,it was found that the SAR-derived SWHs were significantly underestimated by about 0.2m in the areas with oil slicks.This difference is probably due to the underestimation of the SAR-derived wind speeds at moderate wind speeds(i.e.,at wind speeds of greater than 5ms^(-1)).An additional analysis compared the SAR-derived wave spectra with those from the WW3 model as waves passed through the oil slicks.The interesting finding is that the wave energy at short wave lengths(about 30m)is reduced by the oil slicks,causing the movement of the dominant wave spectrum to shift to longer wave lengths(about 80 m).JIANG Tao SHAO Weizeng HU Yuyi ZHENG Gang SHEN Wei 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,1:0

11Can we omit systematic biopsies in patients undergoing MRI fusion-targeted prostate biopsies?显示文摘Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)-targeted prostate biopsy is the recommended investigation in men with suspicious lesion(s)on MRI.The role of concurrent systematic in addition to targeted biopsies is currently unclear.Using our prospectively maintained database,we identified men with at least one Prostate Imaging-Reporting and Data System(PI-RADS)≥3 lesion who underwent targeted and/or systematic biopsies from May 2016 to May 2020.Clinically significant prostate cancer(csPCa)was defined as any Gleason grade group≥2 cancer.Of 545 patients who underwent MRI fusion-targeted biopsy,222(40.7%)were biopsy naïve,247(45.3%)had previous prostate biopsy(s),and 76(13.9%)had known prostate cancer undergoing active surveillance.Prostate cancer was more commonly found in biopsy-naïve men(63.5%)and those on active surveillance(68.4%)compared to those who had previous biopsies(35.2%;both P<0.001).Systematic biopsies provided an incremental 10.4%detection of csPCa among biopsy-naïve patients,versus an incremental 2.4%among those who had prior negative biopsies.Multivariable regression found age(odds ratio[OR]=1.03,P=0.03),prostate-specific antigen(PSA)density≥0.15 ng ml^(−2)(OR=3.24,P<0.001),prostate health index(PHI)≥35(OR=2.43,P=0.006),higher PI-RADS score(vs PI-RADS 3;OR=4.59 for PI-RADS 4,and OR=9.91 for PI-RADS 5;both P<0.001)and target lesion volume-to-prostate volume ratio≥0.10(OR=5.26,P=0.013)were significantly associated with csPCa detection on targeted biopsy.In conclusion,for men undergoing MRI fusion-targeted prostate biopsies,systematic biopsies should not be omitted given its incremental value to targeted biopsies alone.The factors such as PSA density≥0.15 ng ml^(−2),PHI≥35,higher PI-RADS score,and target lesion volume-to-prostate volume ratio≥0.10 can help identify men at higher risk of csPCa.Jeffrey J Leow Soon Hock Koh Marcus WL Chow Wayren Loke Rolando Salada Seok Kwan Hong Yuyi Yeow Chau Hung Lee Cher Heng Tan Teck Wei Tan 2023Asian Journal of Andrology2023,25,1:0
12Intrinsic spin shielding effect in platinum-rare-earth alloy boosts oxygen reduction activity显示文摘Oxygen reduction reactions(ORRs)involve a multistep proton-coupled electron process accompanied by the conversion of the apodictic spin configuration.Understanding the role of spin configurations of metals in the adsorption and desorption of oxygen intermediates during ORRs is critical for the design of efficient ORR catalysts.Herein,a platinum-rare-earth-metal-based alloy catalyst,Pt_(2)Gd,is introduced to reveal the role of spin configurations in the catalytic activity of materials.The catalyst exhibits a unique intrinsic spin reconfiguration because of interactions between the Gd-4f and Pt-5d orbitals.The adsorption and desorption of the oxygen species are optimized by modifying the spin symmetry and electronic structures of the material for increased ORR efficiency.The Pt_(2)Gd alloy exhibits a half-wave potential of 0.95 V and a superior mass activity of 1.5 A·mg Pt^(−1)in a 0.1 M HClO_(4)electrolyte,as well as higher durability than conventional Pt/C catalysts.Theoretical calculations have proven that the spin shielding effect of Gd pairs increases the spin symmetry of Pt-5d orbitals and adsorption preferences toward spin-polarized intermediates to facilitate ORR.This work clarifies the impact of modulating the intrinsic spin state of Pt through the interaction with the local high spin 4f orbital electrons in rare-earth metals,with the aim of boosting the spin-related oxygen reduction reaction,thus fundamentally contributing to the understanding of new descriptors that control ORR activity.Siyuan Zhu Mingzi Sun Bingbao Mei Liting Yang Yuyi Chu Zhaoping Shi Jingsen Bai Xian Wang Zheng Jiang Changpeng Liu Bolong Huang Junjie Ge Wei Xing 2023National Science Review2023,10,9:0
13Key role of electron accessibility at the noble metal-free catalytic interface in hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘The reactant concentration at the catalytic interface holds the key to the activity of electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),mainly referring to the capacity of adsorbing hydrogen and electron accessibility.With hydrogen adsorption free energy(ΔGH)as a reactivity descriptor,the volcano curve based on Sabatier principle is established to evaluate the hydrogen evolution activity of catalysts.However,the role of electron as reactant received insufficient attention,especially for noble metal-free compound catalysts with poor conductivity,leading to cognitive gap between electronic conductivity and apparent catalytic activity.Herein we successfully construct a series of catalyst models with gradient conductivities by regulating molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))electronic bandgap via a simple solvothermal method.We demonstrate that the conductivity of catalysts greatly affects the overall catalytic activity.We further elucidate the key role of intrinsic conductivity of catalyst towards water electrolysis,mainly concentrating on the electron transport from electrode to catalyst,the electron accumulation process at the catalyst layer,and the charge transfer progress from catalyst to reactant.Theoretical and experimental evidence demonstrates that,with the enhancement in electron accessibility at the catalytic interface,the dominant parameter governing overall HER activity gradually converts from electron accessibility to combination of electron accessibility and hydrogen adsorbing energy.Our results provide the insight from various perspective for developing noble metal-free catalysts in electrocatalysis beyond HER.Dongchen Han Nanxing Gao Yuyi Chu Zhaoping Shi Ying Wang Junjie Ge Meiling Xiao Changpeng Liu Wei Xing 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0
14Ultra-stable Pt_(5)La intermetallic compound towards highly efficient oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Designing feasible electrocatalysts towards oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)requires advancement in both activity and stability,where attaining high stability is of extreme importance as the catalysts are expected to work efficiently under frequent start-up/shut down circumstances for at least several thousand hours.Alloying platinum with early transition metals(i.e.,Pt–La alloy)is revealed as efficient catalysts construction strategy to potentially satisfy these demands.Here we report a Pt5La intermetallic compound synthesized by a novel and facile strategy.Due to the strong electronic interactions between Pt and La,the resultant Pt5La alloy catalyst exhibits enhanced activity with half wave of 0.92 V and mass activity of 0.49 A·mgPt^(−1),which strictly follows the 4e transfer pathway.More importantly,the catalyst performs superior stability during 30,000 cycles of accelerated stressed test(AST)with mass activity retention of 93.9%.This study provides new opportunities for future applications of Pt-rare earth metal alloy with excellent electrocatalytic properties.Siyuan Zhu Liting Yang Jingsen Bai Yuyi Chu Jie Liu Zhao Jin Changpeng Liu Junjie Ge Wei Xing 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0
