Mucus production stimulated by IFN-AhR signaling triggers hypoxia of COVID-19显示文摘Silent hypoxia has emerged as a unique feature of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).In this study,we show that mucins are accumulated in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)of COVID-19 patients and are upregulated in the lungs of severe respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)-infected mice and macaques. We find that induction of either interferon(IFN)-P or IFN-y upon SARS-CoV-2 infection results in activation of aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR)signaling through an IDO-Kyn-dependent pathway, leading to transcriptional upregulation of the expression of mucins, both the secreted and membrane-bound,in alveolar epithelial cells.Consequently, accumulated alveolar mucus affects the blood-gas barrier, thus inducing hypoxia and diminishing lung capacity, which can be reversed by blocking AhR activity. These findings potentially explain the silent hypoxia formation in COVID-19 patients, and suggest a possible intervention strategy by targeting the AhR pathway. | Yuying Liu Jiadi Lv Jiangning Liu Man Li Jing Xie Qi Lv Wei Deng Nannan Zhou Yabo Zhou Jiangping Song Peng Wang Chuan Qin Wei-Min Tong Bo Huang | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,12: | 5
Blastic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cell Neoplasm:Progress in Cell Origin,Molecular Biology,Diagnostic Criteria and Therapeutic Approaches显示文摘Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm(BPDCN)is a rare hematological malignancy characterized by recurrent skin nodules,an aggressive clinical course with rapid involvement of hematological organs, and a poor prognosis with poor overall survival.BPDCN is derived from plasmacytoid dendritic cells(pDCs)and its pathogenesis is unclear. The tumor cells show aberrant expression of CD4,CD56,interleukin-3 receptor alpha chain(CD 123),blood dendritic cell antigen 2(BDCA 2/CD303),blood dendritic cell antigen 4(BDCA4)and transcription factor(E protein)E2-2(TCF4).The best treatment drugs are based on experience by adopting those used for either leukemia or lymphoma.Relapse with drug resistance generally occurs quickly.Stem cell transplantation after the first complete remission is recommended and tagraxofusp is the first targeted therapy. In this review,we summarize the differentiation of BPDCN from its cell origin, its connection with normal pDCs,clinical characteristics, genetic mutations and advances in treatment of BPDCN.This review provides insights into the mechanisms of and new therapeutic approaches for BPDCN. | Wei CHENG Tian-tian YU Ai-ping TANG Ken HE YOUNG Li YUI | 2021 | Current Medical Science2021,41,3: | 4
Genome-wide detection of additional fetal chromosomal abnormalities by cell-free DNA testing of 15,626 consecutive pregnant women显示文摘Cell-free DNA(cfDNA) testing for common fetal trisomies(T21, T18, T13) is highly effective. However, the usefulness of cfDNA testing in detecting other chromosomal abnormalities is unclear. We evaluated the performance of cfDNA testing for genome-wide abnormalities, and analyzed the incremental yield by reporting extra abnormalities. We performed genome-wide cfDNA testing in 15,626 consecutive pregnancies prospectively enrolled in this study. cfDNA testing results were reported and counseling was given depending on the presence of extra chromosomal abnormalities. cfDNA testing identified 190 cases(1.2%)of chromosomal abnormalities including 100 common trisomies and 90 additional abnormalities. By expanding the cfDNA reporting range to genome-wide abnormalities, the false positive rate increased to 0.39%(P<0.001) and positive predictive value(PPV) was reduced to 65.58%(P=0.42). However, the detection yield increased from 0.44% to 0.65%(P=0.014), and cfDNA testing detected 38.61%(39/101) additional abnormalities with no ultrasound and biochemical screening findings. cfDNA testing outperformed biochemical screening by showing 60 times higher true positive rate and fewer false negative results.Genome-wide cfDNA testing significantly increased the diagnostic yield by detecting extra abnormalities, especially those without diagnostic indications. Genome-wide cfDNA testing has fewer false positive and false negative results compared with biochemical screening. | Hong Yao Ya Gao Jia Zhao Rong Zhang Huixin Xu Huamei Hu Yanmei Luo Yuying Yuan Meili Fu Hongyun Zhang Hui Jiang Wei Wang Huanming Yang Jian Wang Zhiqing Liang Fang Chen | 2019 | Science China(Life Sciences)2019,62,2: | 4
The Impact of COVID-19 Epidemic on Tuberculosis Reports Among Students — Guizhou Province, China, 2020显示文摘Summary What is already known about this topic? In 2020,the implementation of non-medical interventions during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)epidemic has created a negative impact on tuberculosis(TB)control. It is unclear if the prevalence of TB among students in Guizhou Province was also affected. What is added by this report?Among TB cases, the proportion of student TB patients was 19.91%in the back-to-school period in 2020,which was higher than the 13.37%registered in 2017–2019,but this decreased in the COVID-19 pandemic period. The time interval between symptom onset and care-seeking of the student TB patients was the shortest in the back-to-school and physical checkup periods. What are the implications for public health practice?TB active screening was effective for timely detection and diagnosis of TB among students, which could prevent TB outbreaks in schools. | Yuying He Tao Li Lijie Zhang Renzhong Li Zaiping Chen Yunzhou Ruan Wei Su Jinlan Li | 2022 | China CDC weekly2022,4,11: | 3

Influences of mass flow rate on heat and mass transfer performances of water sublimator combined with fluid loop显示文摘For spacecraft working in vacuum environment, sublimator is an effective heat rejection approach to reject system's peak heat load, and supplement spacecraft radiation heat rejection. For a spacecraft active fluid loop thermal control system combined with sublimator, waste heat generated from multi-point distributed heat sources could be collected by the fluid loop efficiently. However, the heat and mass transfer performances of the sublimator combined with fluid loop have not been adequately studied in previous research, especially for the influences of the heat load. Since work fluid mass flow rate is the main factor affecting heat load of the fluid loop, this context experimentally studied influences of the fluid loop mass flow rate on sublimator start-up transient characteristics, including heat transfer performances, response time, and work stability. Results indicated that the fluid loop mass flow rate affected the sublimator heat and mass transfer performances obviously, but the heat rejection ability is not always increase with the increasing of the fluid loop mass flow rate. In addition, we obtained the condition to judge whether there is a positive correlation between heat rejection ability and fluid loop mass flow rate. | Yuying WANG Jindong LI Xianwen NING Qi ZHONG Jianyin MIAO Lu WANG Wei LYU Chang LIU | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,4: | 3

Wetting transition energy curves for a droplet on a square-post patterned surface显示文摘Due to the property of water repellence, biomimetic superhydrophobic surfaces have been widely applied to green technologies, in turn inducing wider and deeper investigations on superhydrophobic surfaces. Theoretical, experimental and numerical studies on wetting transitions have been carried out by researchers, but the mechanism of wetting transitions between Cassie-Baxter state and Wenzel state, which is crucial to develop a stable superhydrophobic surface, is still not fully understood. In this paper, the free energy curves based on the transition processes are presented and discussed in detail. The existence of energy barriers with or without consideration of the gravity effect, and the irreversibility of wetting transition are discussed based on the presented energy curves. The energy curves show that different routes of the Cassie-to-Wenzel transition and the reverse transition are the main reason for the irreversibility. Numerical simulations are implemented via a phase field lattice Boltzmann method of large density ratio, and the simulation results show good consistency with the theoretical analysis. | Wei Gong Yingqing Zu Sheng Chen Yuying Yan | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,2: | 3

The earthquake precursor detected in a granular medium and a proposed model for the propagation of precursive stress-strain signal显示文摘A way to detect the seismic precursor in granular medium is described and a model of propagation for precursive stress-strain signals is proposed.A strain sensor buried in a sandpit is used to measure a seismic precursor signal. The signal has been investigated and confirmed to originate from a specific earthquake.A comparison of simulated and experimental signals indicates that the signal results from the strain in the earth's strata.Based on the behavioral characteristics of granular materials,an analysis of why this method can be so sensitive to the seismic strain signal is undertaken and a model for the propagation of this stress-strain signal is proposed. The Earth's lithosphere is formed of tectonic plates, faults and fault gouges at their boundaries. In the case of the quasi-static mechanics of seismic precursory stress-strain propagation, the crustal lithosphere should be treated as a large-scale granular system.During a seismogenic event, accumulated force generates the stick-slip motion of adjacent tectonic plates and incrementally pushes blocks farther apart through stick-slip shift. The shear force released through this plate displacement causes soil compression deformation. The discrete properties of the sand in the sandpit lead to the sensitive response of the sensor to the deformation signal which enables it to detect the seismic precursor. From the analysis of the mechanism of the stress-strain propagation in the lithosphere,an explanation is found for the lack of signal detection by sensors installed in rocks. The principles and method presented in this paper provide a new technique for investigating seismic precursors to shallow-source earthquakes. | LU KunQuan HOU MeiYing WANG Qiang PENG Zheng SUN Wei SUN XiaoMing WANG YuYing TONG XiaoHui JIANG ZeHui LIU JiXing | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,11: | 2
Drug resistance mutation profiles of the drug-nave and first-line regimen-treated HIV-1-infected population of Suzhou, China显示文摘Little is known about the prevalence of drug-resistant mutations in HIV-1-positive individuals in Suzhou, China. To elucidate the transmitted drug resistance(TDR) and acquired drug resistance mutation(ADR) profiles, we collected blood specimens from 127 drug-naive and 117 first-line drugtreated HIV-1-infected individuals sampled from 2014 to 2016 in Suzhou. We successfully amplified po/fragments from 100 drug-naive and 20 drug-treated samples. We then determined the drugresistant mutations to protease(PR) and reverse-transcriptase(RT) inhibitors according to the Stanford drug resistance database. Overall, 11 and 13 individuals had transmitted(drug-naive group) and acquired(treated group) resistance mutations, respectively. Six transmitted drugresistant mutations were found, including two mutations(L33F and L76V) in the protease region and four(K70N/E and V179D/E) in the RT region. Only L76 V was a major mutation, and K70N/E and V179D/E are known to cause low-level resistance to RT inhibitors. All 13 treated participants who had major drug resistance mutations demonstrated intermediate to high resistance to efavirenz and nevirapine, and six had a treatment duration of less than three months. No major mutations to RT inhibitors were found, implying that the epidemic of transmitted resistance mutations was not significant in this area. Our results suggest that more frequent virus load and drug resistance mutation tests should be conducted for individuals receiving antiretroviral treatment, especially for newly treated patients. Our research provides insights into the occurrence of HIV-1 drug resistance in Suzhou and will help to optimize the treatment strategy for this population. | Tingting Li Feng Qian Ting Yuan Weilu Xu Li Zhu Jinlong Huang Haiyan Wang Yueping Zhu Yinling Wang Xiaohong Li Saihong Gu Zhuqing Tan Hui Chen Xiangrong Luo Wei Zhu Weniuan Lu Ping Xu Ming Li Yuying Chen Yong Gao Rongge Yang Chuanwu Zhu Binlian Sun | 2017 | Virologica Sinica2017,32,4: | 2

XAFS study of Cu^(2+) in aqueous solution of CuBr_2显示文摘Copper ion is the essential microelement to many organisms. In this paper, the local structure of Cu2+ in CuBr2 aqueous solutions with different concentrations are investigated by using X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) technique. XANES (X-ray Absorption Near Edge Structure) spectra indicate that charge transfer from Br- to Cu2+ decreases with the solution concentration, which lead to a shift of the absorption edge. The shoulder appearing at the rising edge proves to be characteristic of a tetragonal distortion. The Fourier transform magnitudes of EXAFS (Extended X-ray absorption fine structure) data of Cu species suggest that more Cu-Br bonds may exist in high concentrations. A fivefold coordination configuration like a pyramid is used as the fitting parameters. From the analysis of the coordination numbers, the proportion of Cu-O and Cu-Br is 4:1 in the saturated solution. The Br atom is on the equatorial plane of the model. The fitting results agree well with the experiment data. | DAI Binbin WANG Qian MA Jingyuan LI Jiong ZHANG Shuo HUANG Yuying HUANG Wei WU Guozhong ZOU Yang JIANG Zheng XU Hongjie | 2012 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2012,23,3: | 2
The impact of the atmospheric turbulence-development tendency on new particle formation:a common finding on three continents显示文摘A new mechanism of new particle formation(NPF)is investigated using comprehensive measurements of aerosol physicochemical quantities and meteorological variables made in three continents, including Beijing,China;the Southern Great Plains site in the USA;and SMEARⅡStation in Hyytiala,Finland.D espite the considerably different emissions of chemical species among the sites,a common relationship was found between the characteristics of NPF and the stability intensity. The stability parameter(ζ=Z/L,where Z is the height above ground and L is the Monin-Obukhov length)is found to play an important role;it drops significantly before NPF as the atmosphere becomes more unstable, which may serve as an indicator of nucleation bursts. As the atmosphere becomes unstable, the NPF duration is closely related to the tendency for turbulence development, which influences the evolution of the condensation sink.Presumably, the unstable atmosphere may dilute pre-existing particles, effectively reducing the condensation sink, especially at coarse mode to foster nucleation. This new mechanism is confirmed by model simulations using a molecular dynamic model that mimics the impact of turbulence development on nucleation by inducing and intensifying homogeneous nucleation events. | Hao Wu Zhanqing Li Hanqing Li Kun Luo Yuying Wang Peng Yan Fei Hu Fang Zhang Yele Sun Dongjie Shang Chunsheng Liang Dongmei Zhang Jing Wei Tong Wu Xiaoai Jin Xinxin Fan Maureen Cribb Marc L.Fischer Markku Kulmala Tuukka Petaja | 2021 | National Science Review2021,8,3: | 2
Intra-strain Elicitation and Suppression of Plant Immunity by Ralstonia solanacearum Type-III Effectors in Nicotiana benthamiana显示文摘Effector proteins delivered inside plant cells are powerful weapons for bacterial pathogens, but this exposes the pathogen to potential recognition by the plant immune system. Therefore, the effector repertoire of a given pathogen must be balanced for a successful infection.Ralstonia solanacearum is an aggressive pathogen with a large repertoire of secreted effectors. One of these effectors,RipE1,is conserved in most R.solanacearum strains sequenced to date.In this work,we found that RipE1 triggers immunity in N.benthamiana, which requires the immune regulator SGT1,but not EDS1 or NRCs.Interestingly,RipE1-triggered immunity induces the accumulation of salicylic acid(SA)and the overexpression of several genes encoding phenylalanine-ammonia lyases(PALs),suggesting that the unconventional PALmediated pathway is responsible for the observed SA biosynthesis.Surprisingly,RipE1 recognition also induces the expression of jasmonic acid(JA)-responsive genes and JA biosynthesis, suggesting that both SA and JA may act cooperatively in response to RipE1.We further found that RipE1 expression leads to the accumulation of glutathione in plant cells, which precedes the activation of immune responses.R.solanacearum secretes another effector,RipAY,which is known to inhibit immune responses by degrading cellular glutathione.Accordingly,RipAY inhibits RipE1-triggered immune responses. This work shows a strategy employed by R.solanacearum to counteract the perception of its effector proteins by plant immune system. | Yuying Sang Wenjia Yu Haiyan Zhuang Yali Wei Lida Derevnina Gang Yu Jiamin Luo Alberto P.Macho | 2020 | Plant Communications2020,1,4: | 2
Passivation of degradation path enables high performance perovskite nanoplatelet lasers with high operational stability显示文摘MAPbI_(3)perovskite has attracted widespread interests for developing low-cost near infrared semiconductor gain media. However,it faces the instability issue under operation conditions, which remains a critical challenge. It is found that the instability of the MAPbI_(3)nanoplatelet laser comes from the thermal-induced degradation progressing from the surface defects towards neighboring regions.By using PbI_(2) passivation, the defect-initiated degradation is significantly suppressed and the nanoplatelet degrades in a layer-by-layer way, enabling the MAPbI_(3)laser to sustain for 4500 s(2.7×10^(7) pulses),which is nearly three times longer than that of the nanoplatelet laser without passivation.Meanwhile, the PbI_(2) passivated MAPbI_(3)nanoplatelet laser with the nanoplatelet cavity displays a maximum quality factor up to∼7800,the highest reported for all MAPbI_(3)nanoplatelet cavities.Furthermore,a high stability MAPbI_(3)nanoplatelet laser that can last for 8500 s(5.1×10^(7) pulses)is demonstrated based on a dual passivation strategy,by retarding the defect-initiated degradation and surface-initiated degradation simultaneously. This work provides in-depth insights for understanding the operating degradation of perovskite lasers, and the dual passivation strategy paves the way for developing high stability near infrared semiconductor laser media. | GUOHUI LI HUIHUI PI YANFU WEI BOLIN ZHOU YA GAO RONG WEN YUYING HAO HAN ZHANG BENG S.ONG YANXIA CUI | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,6: | 2
| 18 | Effects of NPY Gene on Total Number of Eggs at 300 Days of Age in Donglan Black-bone Chicken显示文摘In this study,PCR-RFLP technique was employed to detect the genetic polymorphism of NPY gene and analyze the effects of various genotypes on the total number of eggs at 300 days of age in 135 Donglan black-bone chicken. According to the results, there were three genotypes( AA,AB and BB) of NPY gene in Donglan black-bone chicken group. Different genotypes exhibited significant effects( P < 0. 05) on the total number of eggs at 300 days of age. The total number of eggs at 300 days of age of AA genotype was significantly higher than that of BB genotype( P < 0. 05).
