1Age-related rhesus macaque models of COVID-19显示文摘Background:Since December 2019,an outbreak of the Corona Virus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2)in Wuhan,China,has become a public health emergency of international concern.The high fatality of aged cases caused by SARS-CoV-2 was a need to explore the possible age-related phenomena with non-human primate models.Methods:Three 3-5 years old and two 15 years old rhesus macaques were intratracheally infected with SARS-CoV-2,and then analyzed by clinical signs,viral replication,chest X-ray,histopathological changes and immune response.Results:Viral replication of nasopharyngeal swabs,anal swabs and lung in old monkeys was more active than that in young monkeys for 14 days after SARS-CoV-2 challenge.Monkeys developed typical interstitial pneumonia characterized by thickened alveolar septum accompanied with inflammation and edema,notably,old monkeys exhibited diffuse severe interstitial pneumonia.Viral antigens were detected mainly in alveolar epithelial cells and macrophages.Conclusion:SARS-CoV-2 caused more severe interstitial pneumonia in old monkeys than that in young monkeys.Rhesus macaque models infected with SARS-CoV-2 provided insight into the pathogenic mechanism and facilitated the development of vaccines and therapeutics against SARS-CoV-2 infection.Pin Yu Feifei Qi Yanfeng Xu Fengdi Li Peipei Liu Jiayi Liu Linlin Bao Wei Deng Hong Gao Zhiguang Xiang Chong Xiao Qi Lv Shuran Gong Jiangning Liu Zhiqi Song Yajin Qu Jing Xue Qiang Wei Mingya Liu Guanpeng Wang Shunyi Wang Haisheng Yu Xing Liu Baoying Huang Wenling Wang Li Zhao Huijuan Wang Fei Ye Weimin Zhou Wei Zhen Jun Han Guizhen Wu Qi Jin Jianwei Wang Wenjie Tan Chuan Qin 2020Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2020,3,1:22
2A review of aerial manipulation of small-scale rotorcraft unmanned robotic systems显示文摘Small-scale rotorcraft unmanned robotic systems(SRURSs) are a kind of unmanned rotorcraft with manipulating devices. This review aims to provide an overview on aerial manipulation of SRURSs nowadays and promote relative research in the future. In the past decade, aerial manipulation of SRURSs has attracted the interest of researchers globally. This paper provides a literature review of the last 10 years(2008–2017) on SRURSs, and details achievements and challenges. Firstly, the definition, current state, development, classification, and challenges of SRURSs are introduced. Then, related papers are organized into two topical categories: mechanical structure design, and modeling and control. Following this, research groups involved in SRURS research and their major achievements are summarized and classified in the form of tables. The research groups are introduced in detail from seven parts. Finally, trends and challenges are compiled and presented to serve as a resource for researchers interested in aerial manipulation of SRURSs. The problem,trends, and challenges are described from three aspects. 3Effect of Arctium lappa L.in the dextran sulfate sodium colitis mouse model显示文摘AIM:To analyze the possible protective role of Arctium lappa L.(AL)in a murine model of ulcerative colitis(UC).METHODS:BALB/c mice were administered 100 mg/kg AL powder orally each day.After 7 d,colitis was induced by administration of dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)(5% W/V)in drinking water for a further 8 consecutive days.Diarrhea and bloody stools as well as colonic histology were observed.The level of interleukin-6(IL-6)and tu-mor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in colonic sections were detected by immunohistochemistry.RESULTS:There were significant differences in mean body weight values and disease activity indices between controls and AL-treated animals.Moreover,the histological findings showed that AL treatment can prevent mucosal edema,submucosal erosions,ulceration,inflammatory cell infiltration and colon damage.In addition,immunohistochemistry analysis showed that the levels of the inflammatory cytokines,IL-6 and TNF-α were also decreased in AL-treated groups.CONCLUSION:We suggest that AL can prevent intestinal damage and decrease inflammatory cytokines in mice with DSS-induced colitis.Thus,AL could prove to be a useful food for UC.Tzou-Chi Huang Shinn-Shyong Tsai Li-Fang Liu Yu Lin Liu Hung-Jen Liu Kuo Pin Chuang 2010World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,33:10

5Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear.Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks.Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. 10Synthesis and mesomorphism of diacetylene-bridged triphenylene discotic liquid crystal dimers显示文摘Connecting two discotic mesogens via a spacer not only stabilizes the columnar mesophase but also leads to the formation of glass columnar phase, and therefore improves the physical properties of discotic liquid crystals as organic semiconductor. Here, we report the synthesis of eight diacetylene-bridged triphenylene discotic liquid crystal dimers, [C18H6(OCnH2n+1)4(OMe)O2C-C8H16-C≡≡ C-]2, 3(n), (n = 4-8), [C18H6(OC6H13)5O2C-C8H16-C≡≡ C-]2, 6 and [C18H6(OC6H13)5O-(CH2)m-C≡≡ C-]2, 8(m), (m = 1, 3) by Eglinton coupling reaction. The thermotropic liquid crystal properties were studied by differential scanning calorimetry and polarized optical microscopy. The results are showed as follows: the length of peripheral alkyl chains of triphenylene influenced properties of liquid crystal dimers; dimers 3(n) (n = 5-8) and 6 had glass columnar phase, and no crystallization was observed above -50℃ for all the triphenylene dimers; compared with 3(6), 6 showed higher molecular symmetry, more stable columnar mesophase and wider mesophase range. 13Anorectal functional outcome after repeated transanal endoscopic microsurgery显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the status of anorectal function after repeated transanal endoscopic microsurgery(TEM).METHODS:Twenty-one patients undergoing subtotal colectomy with ileorectal anastomosis were included.There were more than 5 large(> 1 cm) polyps in the remaining rectum(range:6-20 cm from the anal edge).All patients,19 with villous adenomas and 2 with low-grade adenocarcinomas,underwent TEM with submucosal endoscopic excision at least twice between 2005 and 2011.Anorectal manometry and a questionnaire about incontinence were carried out at week 1 before operation,and at weeks 2 and 3 and 6 mo after the last operation.Anal resting pressure,maximum squeeze pressure,maximum tolerable volume(MTV) and rectoanal inhibitory reflexes(RAIR) were recorded.The integrity and thickness of the internal anal sphincter(IAS) and external anal sphincter(EAS) were also evaluated by endoanal ultrasonography.We determined the physical and mental health status with SF-36 score to assess the effect of multiple TEM on patient quality of life(QoL).RESULTS:All patients answered the questionnaire.Apart from negative RAIR in 4 patients,all of the anorectal manometric values in the 21 patients were normal before operation.Mean anal resting pressure decreased from 38 ± 5 mmHg to 19 ± 3 mmHg(38 ± 5 mmHg vs 19 ± 3 mmHg,P = 0.000) and MTV from 165 ± 19 mL to 60 ± 11 mL(165 ± 19 mL vs 60 ± 11 mL,P = 0.000) at month 3 after surgery.Anal resting pressure and MTV were 37 ± 5 mmHg(38 ± 5 mmHg vs 37 ± 5 mmHg,P = 0.057) and 159 ± 19 mL(165 ± 19 mL vs 159 ± 19 mL,P = 0.071),respectively,at month 6 after TEM.Maximal squeeze pressure decreased from 171 ± 19 mmHg to 62 ± 12 mmHg(171 ± 19 mmHg vs 62 ± 12 mmHg,P = 0.000) at week 2 after operation,and returned to normal values by postoperative month 3(171 ± 19 vs 166 ± 18,P = 0.051).RAIR were absent in 4 patients preoperatively and in 12(2 = 4.947,P = 0.026) patients at month 3 after surgery.RAIR was absent only in 5 patients at postoperative month 6(2 = 0.141,P = 0.707).Endosonography demonstrated that IAS disruption occurred in 8 patients,and 6 patients had temporary incontinence to flatus that was normalized by postoperative month 3.IAS thickness decreased from 1.9 ± 0.6 mm preoperatively to 1.3 ± 0.4 mm(1.9 ± 0.6 mm vs 1.3 ± 0.4 mm,P = 0.000) at postoperative month 3 and increased to 1.8 ± 0.5 mm(1.9 ± 0.6 mm vs 1.8 ± 0.5 mm,P = 0.239) at postoperative month 6.EAS thickness decreased from 3.7 ± 0.6 mm preoperatively to 3.5 ± 0.3 mm(3.7 ± 0.6 mm vs 3.5 ± 0.3 mm,P = 0.510) at month 3 and then increased to 3.6 ± 0.4 mm(3.7 ± 0.6 mm vs 3.6 ± 0.4 mm,P = 0.123) at month 6 after operation.Most patients had frequent stools per day and relatively high Wexner scores in a short time period.While actual fecal incontinence was exceptional,episodes of soiling were reported by 3 patients.With regard to the QoL,the physical and mental health status scores(SF-36) were 56.1 and 46.2(50 in the general population),respectively.CONCLUSION:The anorectal function after repeated TEM is preserved.Multiple TEM procedures are useful for resection of multi-polyps in the remaining rectum.Hong-Wei Zhang Xiao-Dong Han Yu Wang Pin Zhang Zhi-Ming Jin 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,40:5

15Polymorphism in the upstream regulatory region of human papilloma virus type 16 from the cervical cancer biopsies in Xinjiang Uygur women显示文摘To investigate the mutations in the upstream regulatory region (URR) of human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV-16) from the cervical cancer biopsies in Xinjiang Uygur women and its relationship to the high incidence of cervical cancer in the southern Xinjiang, the tissue DNA was extracted from the cervical cancer biopsies, and the URR segment of HPV-16 DNA was amplified, sequenced and analyzed. Thereafter, the polymorphism of URR in HPV-16 was then analyzed. It was demonstrated that the positive rate detected for the presence of URR in HPV-16 was 89.47% (17/19). Compared with the previously published sequence in URR of prototype HPV-16, some mutations were detected in the sequence of URR. The mutations in 17 URR fragments of HPV-16 could be divided into 11 patterns (XJU-1 to XJU-11) at nucleic acid level, in which each of XJU-1 and XJU-4 accounted for 23.53% (4/17), and other patterns of mutation accounted for 5.88% (1/17) . In comparison with the URR of prototype HPV-16, the DNA identity of these patterns was 98.50%-99.68% . In these 17 URR fragments, two point mutations occurred at position 7192 (G to T) and position 7520 (G to A) and they appeared to be constant in Xinjiang area. These two mutations were ubiquitous in the Asia-American type and conferred strong infection activity and carcinogenicity of this virus. In addition, the mutations at position 7729 (A to C), position 7843 (A to G) and position 7792 (C to T) could enhance its transcription activity considerably. 16Sequential infection with H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2 aggravated COVID-19 pathogenesis in a mammalian model, and covaccination as an effective method of prevention of COVID-19 and influenza显示文摘Influenza A virus may circulate simultaneously with the SARS-CoV-2 virus,leading to more serious respiratory diseases during this winter.However,the influence of these viruses on disease outcome when both influenza A and SARS-CoV-2 are present in the host remains unclear.Using a mammalian model,sequential infection was performed in ferrets and in K18-MCE2 mice,with SARS-CoV-2 infection following H1N1.We found that co-infection with H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2 extended the duration of clinical manifestation of COVID-19,and enhanced pulmonary damage,but reduced viral shedding of throat swabs and viral loads in the lungs of ferrets.Moreover,mortality was increased in sequentially infected mice compared with single-infection mice.Compared with singlevaccine inoculation,co-inoculation of PiCoVacc(a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine)and the flu vaccine showed no significant differences in neutralizing antibody titers or virus-specific immune responses.Combined immunization effectively protected K18-MCE2 mice against both H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2 infection.Our findings indicated the development of systematic models of co-infection of H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2,which together notably enhanced pneumonia in ferrets and mice,as well as demonstrated that simultaneous vaccination against HINT and SARS-CoV-2 may be an effective prevention strategy for the coming winter.Linlin Bao Wei Deng Feifei Qi Qi Lv Zhiqi Song Jiangning Liu Hong Gao Qiang Wei Pin Yu Yanfeng Xu Yajin Qu Fengdi Li Jing Xue Shuran Gong Mingya Liu Guanpeng Wang Shunyi Wang Binbin Zhao Bin Cong Chuan Qin 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,6:4
17Comparison of Human Papillomavirus Detection and Genotyping with Four Different Prime Sets by PCR-Sequencing显示文摘Objective To assess and compare the Human Papillomavirus(HPV) detection efficiency and the potential clinical utility of PCR sequencing‐based technology.Methods Four HPV consensus primer sets(GP5+/6+,MGP,MY09/11,and PGMY09/11) were used in order to amplify a broad spectrum of HPV types for HPV infection in 325 cervical samples and the PCR products were sequenced afterwards for the HPV genotyping.Results The HPV‐positive rate was 75.4%,of which 35.5% harbored more than one HPV genotype.A total of 36 different genotypes was found,with HPV 16(24.1%) being the most prevalent,followed by HPV 58(13.3%) and HPV 52(9.6%).There were substantial to almost perfect agreements between different primer sets regarding HPV detection efficiency,with the kappa value varying from 0.751 to 0.925,MGP,and PGMY09/11 were the most effective in detecting multiple infections(P<0.001).With each of the primer sets,a board range of HPV types could be identified,though there were several differences for a few genotypes.Conclusion The substantial agreement between PCR‐sequencing and HC2 for the detection of high‐risk HPV(kappa=0.761) indicated that PCR‐sequencing is also suitable for routine HPV screening.CAI Yu Pin YANG Yi ZHU Bao Li LI Yuan XIA Xiao Yu ZHANG Rui Fen XIANG Yang 2013Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2013,26,1:4

20Self-assembly of Au/MoS_(2) quantum dots core-satellite hybrid as efficient electrocatalyst for hydrogen production显示文摘Ultra-small MoS_(2) quantum dots(QDs)with an average size of 2.48 nm coated on Au nanoparticles with a core-satellite structure(Au/MoS_(2) QDs)are successfully prepared by a self-assembly strategy through the strong bonding between Au and S.Benefited from the unique structure,the Au/MoS_(2) QDs hybrid exhibits outstanding electrocatalytic performance toward hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).The Au/MoS_(2) QDs hybrid needs overpotentials of 112,146,and 206 mV to approach current densities of 10,20,and 50 mA·cm^(−2) in 0.5 mol·L^(−1) H_(2)SO_(4)(pH=0.3),respectively.And a low Tafel slope(83 mV·dec^(−1))is obtained.The catalyst also displays satisfactory stability and durability,indicating a negligible current density loss after 20 h of electrolysis.The high hydrogen generation activities and stability are attributed to the great number of active sites,high conductivity and synergistic effects between gold nanoparticles(Au NPs)and MoS_(2) QDs.Last but not least,this strategy opens up a favorable way to combine MoS_(2) QDs with other metals.Xue‑Ping Yu Chan Yang Pin Song Juan Peng 2020Tungsten2020,2,2:3
