2Effects of Catalyst and Additive Containing Li, Na, or Ca on Reduction of Iron Oxide/Carbon Composite Pellets显示文摘The catalyst containing 0.69% (mass fraction) of Li, Na+, or Ca2+ were synthesized, and the catalytic effect on the reduction of iron oxide/carbon composite pellets were investigated by comparing with that of additive at 850 ℃. The effect of the catalyst was greater than that of the additive, it can be considered that catalyst promoted the formation of iron nucleus early on reduction processes of iron oxide/carbon composite pellets. 3Wenyang Huazhuo Fang exerts transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily C member-dependent nephroprotection in a rat model of doxorubicin-induced nephropathy显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To determine the effect of Wenyang Huazhuo Fang(WHF),a Traditional Chinese Medicine decoction,on renal function in a rat model of doxorubicin-induced nephropathy,and to elucidate the underlying mechanism.METHODS:Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into six groups:control,doxorubicin-nephropathy,and prednisone-treated(6.45 mg·kg^-1·d^-1)doxorubicin nephropathy groups,as well as high-(7.26 g·kg^-1·d^-1),medium-(2.42 g·kg-1·d-),and low-dose(0.81 g·kg^-1·d^-1)WHF-treated doxorubicin-nephropathy groups.The nephropathy rat model was established by two tail vein injections of doxorubicin,followed by prednisone or WHF treatment for 8 weeks.Body weights were monitored and urinary protein was measured every 2 weeks.After the end of the treatment period,the rats were euthanized.Serum biochemical indicators were determined and renal morphological alterations were assessed using histological staining.The expression of transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily C member 6(TRPC6),stromal interaction molecule 1(STIM1),and calcium release-activated calcium channel protein 1(Orai1)was detected using western blotting,and their mRNA levels were examined using quantitative real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.RESULTS:WHF treatment was found to significantly ameliorate weight loss,proteinuria,hypoalbuminemia,and dyslipidemia in doxorubicin-nephropathy rats.The protein and mRNA levels of TRPC6,STIM1,and Orai1 were partially,but significantly suppressed by prednisone or WHF treatment.CONCLUSION:Treatment with WHF significantly ameliorates renal injury in a rat model of doxorubicin-induced nephropathy,which could be at least partially related to repression of the TRPC6 pathway.An Peng Dong Sheng Li Xingyao Cai Zimo Ye Bingyu Zhang Aijun Shi Xingmin Wu Xili 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,4:3
4Particle Image Velocimetry Experimental and Computational Investigation of a Blood Pump显示文摘Blood pumps have been adopted to treat heart failure over the past decades.A novel blood pump adopting the ro-tor with splitter blades and tandem cascade stator was developed recently.A particle image velocimetry (PIV) experiment was carried out to verify the design of the blood pump based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and further analyze the flow properties in the rotor and stator.The original sized pump model with an acrylic housing and an experiment loop were constructed to perform the optical measurement.The PIV testing was car-ried out at the rotational speed of 6952±50 r/min with the flow rate of 3.1 l/min and at 8186±50 r/min with 3.5 l/min,respectively.The velocity and the Reynolds shear stress distributions were investigated by PIV and CFD,and the comparisons between them will be helpful for the future blood pump design.Xiaochen Yang Xingmin Gui Hui Huang Yongbin Shen Ziwen Yu Yan Zhang 2012Journal of Thermal Science2012,21,3:2

7Improving Both Electron and Hole Mobilities of an Ambipolar Polymer by Integrating Sodium Sulfonate-Tethered Alkyl Side Chains显示文摘of main observation and conclusion High performance ambipolar organic semiconductors are highly desirable for organic logic circuits.Herein,we demonstrate the integration of sodium sulfonate(SS)-tethered sidechains into a diketopyrrolopyrrole-based ambipolar polymer(PDPP3T)can simultaneously improve its hole and electron transport performances either parallel or perpendicular to polymer film.Three SS-functionalized polymers(PDPP3T-XSS,x=0.025,0.05 and 0.10)were synthesized and studied.It was found that SS functionalization can reinforce interchain n-Ti interactions,slightly lower frontier orbital energy levels,produce more rod-like structures in film,and change chain-packing from edge-on to face-on fashion,but has little influence on thermal properties.More interestingly,organic field-effect transistors reported hole mobility of 0.27±0.066 cm^2.V^-1·s^-1 and electron mobility of 0.038±0.016 cm^2.V^-1·s^-1 for PDPP3T,while increased 2.4 and 5 folds to 0.64±0.087 and 0.19±0.051 cm^2.V^-1·s^-1 for PDPP3T-0.025SS,respectively.Moreover,PDPP3T-xSS devices displayed reduced threshold voltages for both hole and electron transports.Meanwhile,space charge-limited current method found SS functionalization achieved an order of magnitude increase in electron mobility and slight enhancement in hole mobility transporting perpendicular to polymer film.In-depth investigations suggest such enhancements may originate from the joint actions of chain-stacking modulation and ionic doping effect.Li-Na Liu Yun-Peng Li Maria Khalil Zi-Wen Xu Guanghui Xie Xingmin Zhang Jingjing Li Wei-Shi Li 2020Chinese Journal of Chemistry2020,38,12:1

16Decoupling effects of driving factors on sediment yield in the Chinese Loess Plateau显示文摘Investigations of runoff and sediment yield changes and their relationships with potential driving factors provide good insights for understanding the mechanisms of hydrological processes.This study attempted to present a comprehensive investigation on the spatiotemporal variations of sediment yield in the Loess Plateau using continuous observed data at 46 hydrological stations during 1961-2016,and its responses to changes of precipitation,land use/cover and vegetation cover were analyzed by using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model(PLS-SEM).The results indicated that sediment yield reduced pro-nouncedly during 1961-2016 in the Loess Plateau,and 77.9%of this variation was explained by the combined effects of precipitation,land-use change,vegetation dynamics and runoff reduction.Indirect effects of precipitation,land-use change,and vegetation cover on sediment yield were 0.242,-0.528 and-0.630(P<0.05),respectively,and direct effect of runoff on sediment yield was 0.833(P<0.05).According to the Pearson Correlation Coefficient,the strongest positive correlation existed between annual sediment yield and runoff(r=0.88,P<0.05),followed by vegetation cover(r=-0.47,P<0.05)and land-use change(i.e.forest land and grassland)suggesting their significant trapping effects on soil erosion.However,lower correlations were examined between sediment yield and precipitation indices(-0.14Xiaojing Tian Guangju Zhao Xingmin Mu Pengfei Zhang Peng Gao Wenyi Sun Xiaoyan Lu Peng Tian 2023International Soil and Water Conservation Research2023,11,1:1
