| 1 | Surface tension of molten Al-Si alloy at temperatures ranging from 923 to 1123 K显示文摘The surface tension of molten AlSi20 alloy has been measured by using the sessile drop method at 923―1123 K under argon atmosphere in both heating-up and cooling processes. The result shows that the surface tension of this alloy decreases as long as temperature increases. The results of surface tension and contact angles in heating-up process have differences from those obtained in cooling process, because the metal microstructures have some changes at different temperatures based on the metal genetic theory. The surface tension of molten AlSi20 alloy and that of molten pure aluminum have been compared as well, and the temperature coefficient of AlSi20 alloy is slightly lower than that of Al. The result has been analyzed by the linear scanning analysis with ESEM. | 2 | Recycling of ironmaking and steelmaking slags in Japan and China显示文摘The mass production of steel is inevitably accompanied by large quantities of slags.The treatment of ironmaking and steelmaking slags is a great challenge in the sustainable development of the steel industry.Japan and China are two major steel producing countries that have placed a large emphasis on developing new technologies to decrease slag emission or promote slag valorization.Slags are almost completely reused or recycled in Japan.However,due to stagnant infrastructural investments,future applications of slags in conventional sectors are expected to be difficult.Exploring new functions or applications of slags has become a research priority in Japan.For example,the utilization of steelmaking slags in offshore seabeds to create marine forests is under development.China is the top steel producer in the world.The utilization ratios of ironmaking and steelmaking slags have risen steadily in recent years,driven largely by technological advances.For example,hot stage processing of slags for materials as well as heat recovery techniques has been widely applied in steel plants with good results.However,increasing the utilization ratio of basic oxygen furnace slags remains a major challenge.Technological innovations in slag recycling are crucial for the steel industries in Japan and China.Here,the current status and developing trends of utilization technologies of slags in both countries are reviewed. | Hiroyuki Matsuura Xiao Yang Guangqiang Li Zhangfu Yuan Fumitaka Tsukihashi | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,4: | 5 |
| 3 | Wetting behavior and interfacial characteristic of Sn-Ag-Cu solder alloy on Cu substrate显示文摘Wettability of molten Sn-Ag-Cu alloy on Cu substrate has been determined by sessile drop method, as well as its dependence on time and temperature. It was found that the evolution of contact angle at the alloy’s melting point experienced four different stages. Especially, the contact angle was unstable and fluctuant in stage II, and gradually decreased in stage III mainly due to a chemical reaction between Sn-Ag-Cu alloy and Cu substrate. The contact angle decreased with increasing temperature, but increased slightly at 629 K, for another chemical reaction occurred. Interfacial characteristic has been further investigated by examining the sample’s cross section. | 4 | Spreading kinetics of a Sn-30Bi-0.5Cu alloy on a Cu substrate显示文摘The reactive wetting kinetics of a Sn-30Bi-0.5Cu Pb-free solder alloy on a Cu substrate was investigated by the sessile drop method from 493 to 623 K.The triple line frontier,characterized by the drop base radius R was recorded dynamically with a high resolution CCD using different spreading processes in an Ar-H 2 flow.We found a good agreement with the De Gennes model for the relationship between ln(dR/dt) and lnR for the spreading processes at 493 and 523 K.However,a significant deviation from the De Gennes model was found for the spreading processes at 548 and 623 K.Our experimental results show a complicated temperature effect on the spreading kinetics.Intermetallics at the Sn-30Bi-0.5Cu/Cu interface were identified as Cu 6 Sn 5 adjacent to the solder and Cu 3 Sn adjacent to the Cu substrate.The intermetallic compounds effectively enhanced the triple line mobility because of reaction product formation at the diffusion frontier. | ZANG LiKun YUAN ZhangFu ZHAN YaPeng WANG ChenYu XU BingSheng | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,6: | 1 |

| 19 | Self-supporting hierarchically micro/nano-porous Ni_(3)P-Co_(2)P-based film with high hydrophilicity for efficient hydrogen production显示文摘Designing efficient and stable non-precious metal HER(hydrogen evolution reaction)electrocatalysts with high large current density adaptability is significant for industrial application of hydrogen production by water electrolysis.Herein,a facile strategy was developed to construct a multi-phase Ni3 P-Co_(2)P-(Ni-Co)film with self-supporting hierarchically micro/nano-porous structure by using bubble template method electrodeposition of self-supporting micro-porous Ni Co P film,oxygen-free annealing for phase separation producing Ni_(3)P-Ni-Co_(2)P-Co structure,and acid etching for constructing surface nano-porous structure.The effective active sites for HER was significantly increased due to the hierarchically micro/nano-porous structure,which not only enlarged the surface roughness,but enhanced the bubble detachment by improving the hydrophilicity.Meanwhile,the HER electrolysis durability was improved benefiting from the Ni_(3)P-Co_(2)P phases with high corrosion resistance(especially in acid solution)and the self-supporting film structure without binder.Consequently,the Ni Co P-OA-AE film exhibited high HER catalytic performance,which delivered a current density of 10 m A cm^(-2)at a low overpotential of 42.9 and 39.7 m V in 1 M KOH and 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4),respectively.It also possessed high long-term electrolysis durability,and the cell voltage of water electrolysis using self-supporting porous Ni Co P-OA-AE||Ir O_(2)-Ta_(2)O_(5) electrolyzer at 500 m A cm^(-2)for 250 h in 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4 )is only 2.9 V. | Xiangtao Yu Xiangyu Ren Yanwei Zhang Zhangfu Yuan Zhuyin Sui Mingyong Wang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,6: | 0 |
