7Effect of active oxygen on the performance of Pt/CeO2 catalysts for CO oxidation显示文摘This study was focused on the influence of active oxygen on the performance of Pt/CeO_2 catalysts for CO oxidation. A series of CeO_2 supports with different contents of active oxygen were obtained by adding surfactant at different synthesis steps. 0.25 wt% Pt was loaded on these CeO_2 supports by incipientwetness impregnation methods. The catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption, X-ray diffraction(XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM), H_2 temperature-programmed reduction(H_2-TPR), dynamic oxygen storage capacity(DOSC) and in-situ DRIFTS technologies. For S-f supports, the surfactant was added into the solution before spray-drying in the synthesis process, which facilitates more active oxygen formation on the surface of CeO_2. After loading Pt, the more active oxygen on CeO_2 contributes to dispersing Pt species and enhancing the CO oxidation activity. As for the aged samples,Pt-R-h shows the highest activity above 190 ℃ because of the presence of more partly oxidized Pt^(δ+) species. 8Comprehensive assessment for removing multiple pollutants by plants in bioretention systems显示文摘Bioretention is a best management practice which uses vegetation to improve the pollutant removal rates in the rain water management.To select the best plant species to remove multiple pollutants in a bioretention system,we tested thirty species of plants in a laboratory in Beijing,China.We found that the ability of the plants to reduce concentrations of heavy metals including cadmium(Cd),lead(Pb),zinc(Zn),and ammonium(NH4?–N)is more than90%.The removal efficiencies for NH4?–N,nitrate(NO3-–N),total phosphorus,and copper(Cu)varied markedly among plant species.The single overall best plant was not easy to be determined.To select the best plant species,we used a dynamic neural network to establish an assessment index system,assessment criteria,and an assessment model that is used here for the first time for multiple pollutants’removal.Applying the theory and model,we discovered that Plantago asiatica L.and Digitaria sanguinalis(L.)Scop.are the overall best plants for removing the seven typicalpollutants.This paper will provide a simple and useful guide for the comprehensive assessment of multiple pollutant removal by plants in complex ecological systems.Xiaohua Yang Ying Mei Jun He Rong Jiang Yuqi Li Jianqiang Li 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,13:14
9Surface tension of molten Al-Si alloy at temperatures ranging from 923 to 1123 K显示文摘The surface tension of molten AlSi20 alloy has been measured by using the sessile drop method at 923―1123 K under argon atmosphere in both heating-up and cooling processes. The result shows that the surface tension of this alloy decreases as long as temperature increases. The results of surface tension and contact angles in heating-up process have differences from those obtained in cooling process, because the metal microstructures have some changes at different temperatures based on the metal genetic theory. The surface tension of molten AlSi20 alloy and that of molten pure aluminum have been compared as well, and the temperature coefficient of AlSi20 alloy is slightly lower than that of Al. The result has been analyzed by the linear scanning analysis with ESEM. 10A point mutation resulting in a 13 bp deletion in the coding sequence of Cldf leads to a GA-deficient dwarf phenotype in watermelon显示文摘The dwarf architecture is an important and valuable agronomic trait in watermelon breeding and has the potential to increase fruit yield and reduce labor cost in crop cultivation.However,the molecular basis for dwarfism in watermelon remains largely unknown.In this study,a recessive dwarf allele(designated as Cldf(Citrullus lanatus dwarfism))was fine mapped in a 32.88 kb region on chromosome 09 using F2 segregation populations derived from reciprocal crossing of a normal line M08 and a dwarf line N21.Gene annotation of the corresponding region revealed that the Cla015407 gene encoding a gibberellin 3β-hydroxylase functions as the best possible candidate gene for Cldf.Sequence analysis showed that the fourth polymorphism site(a G to A point mutation)at the 3′AG splice receptor site of the intron leads to a 13 bp deletion in the coding sequence of Cldf in dwarf line N21 and thus results in a truncated protein lacking the conserved domain for binding 2-oxoglutarate.In addition,the dwarf phenotype of Cldf could be rescued by exogenous GA3 application.Phylogenetic analysis suggested that the small multigene family GA3ox(GA3 oxidase)in cucurbit species may originate from three ancient lineages in Cucurbitaceae.All these data support the conclusion that Cldf is a GA-deficient mutant,which together with the cosegregated marker can be used for breeding new dwarf cultivars.Chunhua Wei Chunyu Zhu Liping Yang Wei Zhao Rongxue Ma Hao Li Yong Zhang Jianxiang Ma Jianqiang Yang Xian Zhang 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:12

13Effects of Na+on Cu/SAPO-34 for ammonia selective catalytic reduction显示文摘Copper-exchanged chabazite(Cu/CHA) catalysts have been found to be affected by alkali metal and alkaline earth ions. However, the effects of Na^+ ions on Cu/SAPO-34 for ammonia selective catalytic reduction(NH_3-SCR) are still unclear. In order to investigate the mechanism, five samples with various Na contents were synthesized and characterized. It was observed that the introduced Na^+ ion-exchanges with H+and Cu^(2+)of Cu/SAPO-34. The exchange of H+is easier than that of isolated Cu^(2+). 14Jasmonic acid carboxyl methyltransferase regulates development and herbivory-induced defense response in rice显示文摘Jasmonic acid(JA) and related metabolites play a key role in plant defense and growth. JA carboxyl methyltransferase(JMT) may be involved in plant defense and development by methylating JA to methyl jasmonate(Me JA) and thus influencing the concentrations of JA and related metabolites. However, no JMT gene has been well characterized in monocotyledon defense and development at the molecular level. After we cloned a rice JMT gene,Os JMT1, whose encoding protein was localized in the cytosol, we found that the recombinant Os JMT1 protein catalyzed JA to Me JA. Os JMT1 is up-regulated in response to infestation with the brown planthopper(BPH; Nilaparvata lugens). Plants in which Os JMT1 had been overexpressed(oeJMT plants) showed reduced height and yield. These oe-JMT plants also exhibited increased Me JA levels but reduced levels of herbivore-induced JA and jasmonoyl-isoleucine(JAIle). The oe-JMT plants were more attractive to BPH female adults but showed increased resistance to BPH nymphs,probably owing to the different responses of BPH female adults and nymphs to the changes in levels of H_2O_2 and Me JA in oe-JMT plants. 15Status and development of high-power laser facilities at the NLHPLP显示文摘In this paper, we review the status of the multifunctional experimental platform at the National Laboratory of High Power Laser and Physics(NLHPLP). The platform, including the SG-II laser facility, SG-II 9th beam, SG-II upgrade(SG-II UP) facility, and SG-II 5 PW facility, is operational and available for interested scientists studying inertial confinement fusion(ICF) and a broad range of high-energy-density physics. These facilities can provide important experimental capabilities by combining different pulse widths of nanosecond, picosecond, and femtosecond scales. In addition, the SG-II UP facility, consisting of a single petawatt system and an eight-beam nanosecond system, is introduced including several laser technologies that have been developed to ensure the performance of the facility. 16Potential and Suitability Evaluation of CO_2 Geological Storage in Major Sedimentary Basins of China,and the Demonstration Project in Ordos Basin显示文摘From 2010 to 2012, the China Geological Survey Center for Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology Survey(CHEGS) carried out the project 'Potential evaluation and demonstration project of CO2 Geological Storage in China'. During this project, we developed an evaluation index system and technical methods for the potential and suitability of CO2 geological storage based on China's geological conditions, and evaluated the potential and suitability of the primary basins for CO2 geological storage, in order to draw a series of regional scale maps(at a scale of 1:5000000) and develop an atlas of the main sedimentary basins in China. By using these tools, we delineated many potential targets for CO2 storage. We also built techniques and methods for site selection and the exploration and assessment of CO2 geological storage in deep saline aquifers. 17Association of serum levels of perfluoroalkyl substances with gestational diabetes mellitus and postpartum blood glucose显示文摘This study was conducted to examine the association of perfluoroalkyl substance(PFAS)exposure with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) risk and postpartum fasting blood glucose.We used a 1:2 matched case–control study with 84 GDM subjects and 168 healthy pregnant women from Beijing, China. The maternal blood was collected at 1–2 days before delivery, and eight linear isomers and fourteen branched isomers were determined in maternal serum.Logistic regression analyses were performed to evaluate the associations after adjusting for potential confounders. The median of the sum of levels of total PFASs was 4.24 ng/m L with a interquartile range(IQR) of 2.82–6.54 ng/m L. Although maternal PFAS exposure was not associated with risk of GDM, significant positive associations were observed between evaluated exposure to specific PFAS congeners and increasing blood glucose. 18Uplift and evolution of Helan Mountain显示文摘The Helan Mountain lies in the northwest margin of Ordos Basin and its uplift periods have close relations with the tectonic feature and evolution of the basin. There are many views on the uplift time of Helan Mountain, which is Late Triassic and Late Jurassic. It is concluded by the present strata, magmatic rock and hot fluid distribution that the Helan Mountain does not uplift in Late Triassic to Middle Jurassic but after Middle Jurassic. Through the research of the sedimentary strata and deposit rate in Yinchuan Graben which is near to the Helan Mountain, it is proved that the Helan Mountain uplifts in Eocene with a huge scale and in Pliocene with a rapid speed. The fission track analysis of apatite and zircon can be used to determine the precise uplift time of Helan Mountain, which shows that four stages of uplifting or cooling: Late Jurassic to the early stage of Early Cretaceous, mid-late stage of Early Cretaceous, Late Cretaceous and since Eocene. During the later two stages the uplift is most apparent and the mid-late stage of Early Cretaceous is a regional cooling course. 19Active manganese oxide on MnOx-CeO2 catalysts for low-temperature NO oxidation:Characterization and kinetics study显示文摘MnO_x-CeO_2 catalysts were synthesized to investigate the active sites for NO oxidation by varying the calcination temperature. XRD and TEM results showed that cubic CeO_2 and amorphous MnO_x existed in MnO_x-CeO_2 catalysts. High temperature calcination caused the sintering of amorphous MnO_x and transforming to bulk crystalline Mn_2O_3, H_2-TPR and XPS results suggested the valence of Mn in MnO_x-CeO_2 was higher than pure MnO_x, and decreased with the increasing calcination temperature, The turnover frequency(TOF) was calculated based on the initial reducibility according to H_2-TPR quantitation and kinetic study. The TOF results indicated that the initial reducibility of amorphous MnO_x with high valence manganese ions was equivalent to the active sites for NO oxidation. 20Reversible Histone H2B Monoubiquitination Fine-Tunes Abscisic Acid Signaling and Drought Response in Rice显示文摘Histone H2B monoubiquitination (H2Bub1) plays important roles in several physiological and developmental processes, but its roles in the regulation of plant stress responses remain elusive. Here, we report that H2Bub1 is crucially involved in abscisic acid (ABA) signaling and drought response in rice. We found that rice HISTONE MONOUBIQUITINATION2 (OsHUB2), an E3 ligase for H2Bub1, in teracted with OsbZIP46, a key transcription factor regulating ABA signaling and drought response in rice. Genetic analyses suggest that OsHUB2, upregulated by drought and ABA, positively modulates ABA sensitivity and drought resistance. The H2Bub1 levels were in creased in the target genes of OsbZIP46 under the drought stress and ABA treat- merits, which were positively correlated with their increased expression levels. Interestingly, MODD, a reported suppressor of ABA signaling and drought resistance by mediating OsbZIP46 deactivation and degradation, could reduce the H2Bub1 levels in the target genes of OsbZIP46 by recruiting a putative deubiquitinase OsOTLD1 . Suppression of OsOTLD1in vivo resulted in increased H2Bub1 levels and expression of OsbZIP46 target genes.
