| 1 | Reduction of low-grade manganese oxide ore by biomass roasting显示文摘The reduction process of manganese dioxide in low-grade manganese ore by biomass roasting was investigated.The calcine of manganese oxide ore was further leached by sulphuric acid, the manganese in ore can be converted into manganese sulfate.Effects of the mass ratio of manganese ore to sawdust, roasting temperature and time, leaching temperature and time, leaching agent concentration and liquid-solid ratio were studied.97.71% of manganese recovery can be achieved under the optimal conditions:the mass ratio of manganese ore to sawdust of 5:1, roasting temperature at 500℃ for 40 min, leaching temperature at 60℃ for 40 min, sulphuric acid concentration of 1 mol/L and liquid-solid ratio of 10:1.Other types of low-grade manganese ore like Guilin ore, Nanning ore and Gongcheng ore were tested and the same results were obtained. | Jingjing SONG Guocai ZHU Ping ZHANG Yuna ZHAO | 2010 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2010,23,3: | 14 |
| 2 | Recovering indium with sulfating roasting from copper-smelting ash显示文摘A technology for recovering indium from Jinchuan copper-smelting ash was developed. Indium in the ash was first enriched to the leaching-slag in leaching process,and then recovered by sulfating roasting. The method included mix-ing the leaching-slag with sulfuric acid,making them into particles,roasting the mixture,and then leaching the calcine with hot water. Above 90% of indium in calcine could be dissolved into the leaching solution. The optimized conditions were determined as follows: the mass ratio of sulfuric acid to leaching slag was 0.1,the roasting time was about 1 to 1.5 h in the temperature range of 200-250°C,and the calcine was leached for 1 h with 5:1 of liquid/solid ratio at 60°C. | 4 | Partitioning properties of rare earth ores in China显示文摘The properties of rare earth partitioning in Chinese industrial rare earth ores were analyzed. Rare earth ores canbe divided into the single-mineral type ore with bastnaesite, the multi-mineral type ore with bastnaesite and monazite, andthe weathering crust type. Both the Bayan Obo rare earth ore and the Zhushan rare earth ore are a kind of mixed ore, con-sisting of bastnaesite and monazite. Their rare earth partitionings are strongly enriched in light rare earths, where CeO2 is50% and the light rare earth partitioning is totally over 95%. The Mianning rare earth ore as well as the Weishan rare earthis a kind of rare earth ore only having bastnaesite. Their rare earth partitionings are also strongly enriched in light rare earths,in which CeO2 is 47% and the light rare earth partitioning is totally over 94%. For the weathering crust type rare earth ore,there are the Longnan rare earth ore, the Xunwu rare earth ore, and the middle yttrium and rich europium ore. In the Long-nan rare earth ore, which is strongly enriched in heavy rare earths, Y2O3 is 64.83%, and the heavy and light rare earthpartitionings are 89.40% and 10.53%, respectively. In the Xunwu rare earth ore, which is strongly enriched in light rareearths, CeO2 is 47.16%, and the light rare earth partitioning is totally 93.25%. Y and Eu are enriched in the middle yttriumand rich europium ore. | 8 | Reduction of Low-grade Manganese Dioxide Ore Pellets by Biomass Wheat Stalk显示文摘An investigation on reducing low-grade manganese dioxide ore pellets was carried out by using wheat stalk as reductant. The main impact factors of reduction percent such as particle size, biomass/ore ratio, heating rate, nitrogen flow rate, temperature and time in reduction process were discussed. The morphology and component of manganese dioxide ore particle at different stages were also analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The results show the increase of the reduction temperature and time, biomass/ore ratio, and the decrease of particle size, heating rate and nitrogen flow rate can significantly enhance reduction efficiency. The reduction kinetic of the manganese ore is controlled by three-dimensional mass diffusion of gaseous reductive volatiles passing from the surface to the core of the ore particles. The activation energy E and frequency factor A were calculated to be 24.15 kJ · mol-1 and 166 min-1 , respectively. | 20 | Finding finer functions for partially characterized proteins by protein-protein interaction networks显示文摘Based on high-throughput data, numerous algorithms have been designed to find functions of novel proteins. However, the effectiveness of such algorithms is currently limited by some fundamental factors, including (1) the low a-priori probability of novel proteins participating in a detailed function; (2) the huge false data present in high-throughput datasets; (3) the incomplete data coverage of functional classes; (4) the abundant but heterogeneous negative samples for training the algorithms; and (5) the lack of detailed functional knowledge for training algorithms. Here, for partially characterized proteins, we suggest an approach to finding their finer functions based on protein interaction sub-networks or gene expression patterns, defined in function-specific subspaces. The proposed approach can lessen the above-mentioned problems by properly defining the prediction range and functionally filtering the noisy data, and thus can efficiently find proteins’ novel functions. For thousands of yeast and human proteins partially characterized, it is able to reliably find their finer functions (e.g., the translational functions) with more than 90% precision.
