1Prevalence and evolution of drug resistance HIV-1 variants in Henan, China显示文摘To understand the prevalence and evolution of drug resistant HIV strains in Henan China after the implementation of free antiretroviral therapy for AIDS patients. 45 drug nave AIDS patients, 118 AIDS patients who received three months antiretroviral therapy and 124 AIDS patients who received six months antiretroviral treatment were recruited in the southern part of Henan province. Information on general condition, antiretroviral medicines, adherence and clinical syndromes were collected by face to face interview. Meanwhile, 14ml EDTA anticoagulant blood was drawn. CD4/CD8 T cell count, viral load and genotypic drug resistance were tested. The rates of clinical improvement were 55.1% and 50.8% respectively three months and six months after antiretroviral therapy. The mean CD4 cell count after antiretroviral therapy was significantly higher than in drug nave patients. The prevalence rate of drug resistant HIV strains were 13. 9%, 45.4% and 62.7% in drug nave patients, three month treatment patients and six month treatment patients, respectively. The number of resistance mutation codons and the frequency of mutations increased significantly with continued antiretroviral therapy. The mutation sites were primarily at the 103, 106 and 215 codons in the three-month treatment group and they increased to 15 codon mutations in the six-month treatment group. From this result, the evolution of drug resistant strains was inferred to begin with the high level NNRTI resistant strain, and then develop low level resistant strains to NRTIs. The HIV strains with high level resistance to NVP and low level resistance to AZT and DDI were highly prevalent because of the AZT+DDI+NVP combination therapy. These HIV strains were also cross resistant to DLV, EFV, DDC and D4T. Poor adherence to therapy was believed to be the main reason for the emergence and prevalence of drug resistant HIV strains. The prevalence of drug resistant HIV strains was increased with the continu- ation of antiretroviral therapy in the southern part of Henan province. 4Prospect of the QTL-qSB-9^(Tq) utilized in molecular breeding program of japonica rice against sheath blight显示文摘The major QTL-qSB-9Tq conferring partial resistance to rice (Oryza sativa L.) sheath blight (Rhizoctonia solani Kühn) has been verified on chromosome 9 of the indica rice cultivar, Teqing. In this study, the prospect of this QTL utilized in molecular breeding program of japonica rice for sheath blight resistance was investigated. Most of the japonica rice cultivars showed lower level of sheath blight resistance than the indica rice cultivars. At the corresponding site of qSB-9Tq, nine typical japonica rice cultivars from different ecological regions or countries proved to possess the susceptible allele(s). Introgression of qSB-9Tq into these cultivars enhanced their resistance level by decreasing sheath blight score of 1.0 (0.5–1.3), which indicated that qSB-9Tq had a large potential in strengthening the resistance of japonica rice to sheath blight. 6A comparative study of fuzzy weights of evidence and random forests for mapping mineral prospectivity for skarn-type Fe deposits in the southwestern Fujian metallogenic belt, China显示文摘Recent studies have pointed out that the widespread iron deposits in southwestern Fujian metallogenic belt(SFMB)(China) are skarn-type deposits associated with the Yanshanian granites. There is still excellent potential for mineral exploration because large areas in this belt are covered by forest. A new predictive model for mapping skarn-type Fe deposit prospectivity in this belt was developed and focused on in this study, using five criteria as evidence:(1) the contact zones of Yanshanian granites(GRANITE);(2) the contact zones within the late Paleozoic marine sedimentary rocks and the carbonate formations(FORMATION);(3) the NE-NNE-trending faults(FAULT);(4) the zones of skarn alterations(SKARN); and(5) the aeromagnetic anomaly(AEROMAGNETIC). The fuzzy weights of evidence(FWof E) method, developed from the classical weights of evidence(Wof E) and based on fuzzy sets and fuzzy probabilities, could provide smaller variances and more accurate posterior probabilities and could effectively minimize the uncertainty caused by omitted or wrongly assigned data and be more flexible than the Wof E. It is an efficient and widely used method for mineral potential mapping. Random forests(RF) is a new and useful method for data-driven predictive mapping of mineral prospectivity method, and needs further scrutiny. Both prospectivity results respectively using the FWof E and RF methods reveal that the prediction model for the skarn-type Fe deposits in the SFMB is successful and efficient. Both methods suggested that the GRANITE and FORMATION are the most valuable evidence maps, followed by SKARN, AEROMAGNETIC, and FAULT. This is coincident with the skarn-type Fe deposit mineral model in the SFMB. The unstable performance experienced when FORMATION was omitted might indicate that the highest uncertainty and risk in follow-up exploration is related to the sequences. 7Shifts in microbial community structure and diversity in a MBR combined with worm reactors treating synthetic wastewater显示文摘The chemical oxygen demand(COD) and NH_3-N removal, membrane fouling, sludge characteristics and microbial community structure in a membrane bioreactor(MBR) coupled with worm reactors(SSBWR) were evaluated for 210 days. The obtained results were compared to those from a conventional MBR(C-MBR) operated in parallel. The results indicated that the combined MBR(S-MBR) achieved higher COD and NH_3-N removal efficiency,slower increase in membrane fouling, better sludge settleability and higher activities of the related enzymes in the activated sludge. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis was used to analyze the microbial community structures in the C-MBR and the S-MBR. The microbial community structure in the S-MBR was more diverse than that in the C-MBR. 8DIRECT NUMERICAL SIMUIATION OF BUBBLE-CLUSTER’S DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS显示文摘A Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) for understanding the dynamic response of bubble cluster to pulses of pressure perturbations has been studied by using a front-tracking method. The results show that owing to high nonlinearity, the bubble shape and volume oscillations caused by passing by pressure wave will be transformed into an in-phase volumetric oscillation of whole bubble cluster at a particular low-frequency. 10Autoantigen Microarray for High-throughput Autoantibody Profiling in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus显示文摘Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) is a complex autoimmune disease characterized by the production of autoantibodies to a broad range of self-antigens. Profiling the autoantibody repertoire using array-based technology has emerged as a powerful tool for the identification of biomarkers in SLE and other autoimmune diseases. Proteomic microarray has the capacity to hold large number of self-antigens on a solid surface and serve as a high-throughput screening method for the determination of autoantibody specificities. The autoantigen arrays carrying a wide variety of self-antigens, such as cell nuclear components(nucleic acids and associated proteins), cytoplasmic proteins, phospholipid proteins, cell matrix proteins, mucosal/secreted proteins, glomeruli, and other tissue-specific proteins, have been used for screening of autoantibody specificities associated with different manifestations of SLE. Arrays containing synthetic peptides and molecular modified proteins are also being utilized for identification of autoantibodies targeting to special antigenic epitopes. Different isotypes of autoantibodies, including Ig G, Ig M, Ig A, and Ig E, as well as other Ig subtypes, can be detected simultaneously with multi-color labeled secondary antibodies. 12Chitosan-collagen porous scaffold and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell transplantation for ischemic stroke显示文摘In this study, we successfully constructed a composite of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and a chitosan-collagen scaffold in vitro, transplanted either the composite or bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells alone into the ischemic area in animal models, and compared their effects. At 14 days after co-transplantation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and the hitosan-collagen scaffold, neurological function recovered noticeably. Vascular endothelial growth factor expression and nestin-labeled neural precursor cells were detected in the ischemic area, surrounding tissue, hippocampal dentate gyrus and subventricular zone. Simultaneously, a high level of expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein and a low level of expression of neuron-specific enolase were visible in Brd U-labeled bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. 13Structural Engineering of Hierarchical Aerogels Comprised of Multi-dimensional Gradient Carbon Nanoarchitectures for Highly Efficient Microwave Absorption显示文摘Recently,multilevel structural carbon aerogels are deemed as attractive candidates for microwave absorbing materials.Nevertheless,excessive stack and agglomeration for low-dimension carbon nanomaterials inducing impedance mismatch are significant challenges.Herein,the delicate“3D helix-2D sheet-1D fiber-0D dot”hierarchical aerogels have been successfully synthesized,for the first time,by sequential processes of hydrothermal self-assembly and in-situ chemical vapor deposition method.Particularly,the graphene sheets are uniformly intercalated by 3D helical carbon nanocoils,which give a feasible solution to the mentioned problem and endows the as-obtained aerogel with abundant porous structures and better dielectric properties.Moreover,by adjusting the content of 0D core-shell structured particles and the parameters for growth of the 1D carbon nanofibers,tunable electromagnetic properties and excellent impedance matching are achieved,which plays a vital role in the microwave absorption performance.As expected,the optimized aerogels harvest excellent performance,including broad effective bandwidth and strong reflection loss at low filling ratio and thin thickness.This work gives valuable guidance and inspiration for the design of hierarchical materials comprised of dimensional gradient structures,which holds great application potential for electromagnetic wave attenuation.Yongpeng Zhao Xueqing Zuo Yuan Guo Hui Huang Hao Zhang Ting Wang Ningxuan Wen Huan Chen Tianze Cong Javid Muhammad Xuan Yang Xinnan Wang Zeng Fan Lujun Pan 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,9:5

15Fast synthesis of dopamine-coated Fe_3O_4 nanoparticles through ligand-exchange method显示文摘A fast approach was described for the synthesis of water-dispersible monodisperse dopamine-coated Fe_3O_4 nanoparticles(DA-Fe_3O_4) with uniform size and shape via ligand-exchange of oleic acid on Fe_3O_4 using only 2 min.The prepared DA-Fe_3O_4 nanoparticles were characterized by transmission electron microscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectrometry,and vibrating sample magnetometer.The results indicated that the resulting DA-Fe_3O_4 nanoparticles had an average diameter of about 19.2 nm. 18Thermogravimetric Analysis of Coal Char Combustion Kinetics显示文摘Four chars prepared from pulverized coals were subjected to non-isothermal and isothermal combustion tests in a thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)device.Three different test methods,i.e.,non-isothermal single heating rate(A),non-isothermal multiple heating rate(B),and isothermal test(C),were conducted to calculate the kinetic parameters of combustion of coal char.The results show that the combustion characteristics of bituminous coal char is better than that of anthracite char,and both increase of heating rate and increase of combustion temperature can obviously improve combustion characteristics of coal char.Activation energies of coal char combustion calculated by different methods are different,with activation energies calculated by methods A,B and C in the range of 103.12-153.77,93.87-119.26,and 46.48-76.68kJ/mol,respectively.By using different methods,activation energy of anthracite char is always higher than that of bituminous coal char.In non-isothermal tests,with increase of combustion temperature,the combustion process changed from kinetic control to diffusion control.For isothermal combustion,the combustion process was kinetically controlled at temperature lower than 580℃ for bituminous coal char and at temperature lower than 630℃ for anthracite char.Guang-wei WANG Jian-liang ZHANG Jiu-gang SHAO Hui SUN Hai-bin ZUO 2014Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2014,21,10:4
19Complex strengthening mechanisms in the NbMoTaW multiprincipal element alloy显示文摘Refractory multi-principal element alloys(MPEAs)have exceptional mechanical properties,including high strength-to-weight ratio and fracture toughness,at high temperatures.Here we elucidate the complex interplay between segregation,short-range order,and strengthening in the NbMoTaW MPEA through atomistic simulations with a highly accurate machine learning interatomic potential.In the single crystal MPEA,we find greatly reduced anisotropy in the critically resolved shear stress between screw and edge dislocations compared to the elemental metals.In the polycrystalline MPEA,we demonstrate that thermodynamically driven Nb segregation to the grain boundaries(GBs)and W enrichment within the grains intensifies the observed short-range order(SRO).The increased GB stability due to Nb enrichment reduces the von Mises strain,resulting in higher strength than a random solid solution MPEA.These results highlight the need to simultaneously tune GB composition and bulk SRO to tailor the mechanical properties of MPEAs.Xiang-Guo Li Chi Chen Hui Zheng Yunxing Zuo Shyue Ping Ong 2020npj Computational Materials2020,,1:4
20Antiphospholipid syndrome:a clinical perspective显示文摘Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is a thromboinflammatory disease with a variety of clinical phenotypes. Primary thrombosis prophylaxis should take an individualized risk stratification approach. Moderate-intensity vitamin K antagonist such as warfarin remains the primary strategy for secondary thrombosis prophylaxis among APS patients, especially for patients with predominantly venous disease. For now, direct oral anti-coagulants should be avoided in most APS patients, especially those with history of arterial manifestations. Obstetric APS management should be tailored based on an individual patient’s antiphospholipid antibody profile, and obstetric and thrombotic history. Pharmacological agents beyond anticoagulants may be considered for the management of microthrombotic and nonthrombotic manifestations of APS, although more data are needed. A relatively recent discovery in the area of APS pathogenesis is the implication of neutrophil extracellular traps in thrombin generation and initiation of inflammatory cascades. APS is a complex thromboinflammatory disease with a broad clinical spectrum.
