1Modeling study of residence time and water age in Dahuofang Reservoir in China显示文摘Understanding the dynamics of water renewal in a reservoir is essential when the transport and fate of dissolved substances are evaluated.A three-dimensional hydrodynamic model was implemented to compute average residence time and water age in Dahuofang Reservoir in China.The model was verified for a one-year time period in 2006.A simulation reproduced intra-annual variation of mixing represented by the fall/winter mixing and the spring/summer stratification.The simulated variation of vertical thermal structures also matched observation.The spatially varying average residence times and age distribution were investigated through a series of numerical experiments using a passively dissolved and conservative tracer as a surrogate.Residence time estimations yield a broad range of values depending on the position.The average residence time for a tracer placed at the head of the reservoir under high-,mean-,and low flow conditions was found to be about 125,236 and 521 days,respectively.The age simulation reveals that the age distribution is a function of the freshwater discharge.In the vertical direction,the age of the surface layers is larger than that of the bottom layers and the age difference between the surface and bottom layers decreases further downstream.The density-induced circulation plays an important role in the circulation in the reservoir,and can generate vertical age distribution in the reservoir.These findings provide useful information for understanding the transport process in Dahuofang Reservoir that can be used to assist the water quality management of the reservoir.SHEN YongMing WANG JinHua ZHENG BingHui ZHEN Hong FENG Yu WANG ZaiXing YANG Xu 2011Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,1:18
2Laboratory Characterizations on 2007 Cases of Monoclonal Gammopathies in East China显示文摘Monoclonal gammopathies are characterized by the presence of monoclonal immunoglobulin in patients with or without evidence of multiple myeloma (MM),macroglobulinemia,amyloidosis (AL),or a related plasma cell proliferative disorder. This study aims to evaluate laboratory diagnostic characters of monoclonal gammopathies and investigates the correlation between monoclonal gammopathies and transforming growth factor β1 (TGFβ1). Immunofixation electrophoresis (IFE),serum protein electrophoresis (SPE),nephelometry and urine light chain ELISA were used for laboratory identification of monoclonal immunoglobulins. Plasma TGFβ1 was detected with double-antibodies ELISA. Lightcycler was used for single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis. Totally 2,007 cases of monoclonal immunoglobulin (M protein) were identified in 10,682 samples. The isotypes of M protein were IgG type 47.1%,IgA 23.0%,IgM 8.7%,IgD 5.3%,free light chain κ 6.1%,λ 9.8%. In reference to IFE,the coherency of diagnosis was serum light chain ratio (κ/λ) 94.4%,quantitation of Igs 83%,light chain quantitation 80.9%,and urine light chain ratio (κ/λ) 58.0%. Plasma TGFβ1 was elevated significantly compared to normal control. The allelic frequency of codon 10 (C > T) was neither associated with the existence of the M protein nor with the M protein isotype. Monoclonal gammopathies can be identified with the combination of IFE,SPE,Igs quantitaion and urine light chain determination. 3Three-dimensional numerical modelling of water quality in Dahuofang Reservoir in China显示文摘A three-dimensional eutrophication model was applied to assist the management of Dahuofang Reservoir in China.Transport processes were obtained from the three-dimensional,finite volume hydrodynamic model.The hydrodynamic model was verified for a one-year time period in 2006.Our simulation reproduced intra-annual variation of stratification.The simulated variation of vertical thermal structures also matched observations.The water quality model included 8 state variables,including dissolved oxygen,phytoplankton as carbon,carbonaceous biochemical oxygen demand,ammonium nitrogen,nitrate and nitrite nitrogen,ortho-phosphorus,organic nitrogen,and organic phosphorus.Sensitivity of the parameters has been analyzed to decide which process would affect the water quality in the simulation.The water quality verification suggested the model successfully computed the temporal cycles and spatial distributions of key water quality components.The comparison between water quality components before and after the first phase of the water conveyance project suggests that the project has a slight effect on the reservoir ecosystem.The model could be used as a tool to guide physico-biological engineering design or management strategies for Dahuofang Reservoir.WANG JinHua SHEN YongMing ZHEN Hong FENG Yu WANG ZaiXing YANG Xu 2011Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,7:7
4Design and fabrication of 1-D semiconductor nanomaterials for high-performance photovoltaics显示文摘To date, the cost-effective utilization of solar energy by photovoltaics for large-scale deployment remains challenging. Further cost minimization and efficiency maximization, through reduction of material consumption, simplification of device fabrication as well as optimization of device structure and geometry, are required. The usage of 1D nanomaterials is attractive due to the outstanding light coupling effect, the ease of fabrication, and integration with one-dimensional(1-D) semiconductor materials. The light absorption efficiency can be enhanced significantly, and the corresponding light-toelectricity conversion efficiency can be as high as their bulk counterparts. Also, the amount of active materials used can be reduced. This review summarizes the recent development of 1-D nanomaterials for photovoltaic applications, including the anti-reflection, the light absorption,the minority diffusion, and the semiconductor junction properties. 6Ag-catalyzed GaSb nanowires for flexible near-infrared photodetectors显示文摘High-quality narrow bandgap semiconductors nanowires(NWs)challenge the flexible near-infrared(NIR)photodetectors in next-generation imaging,data communication,environmental monitoring,and bioimaging applications.In this work,complementary metal oxide semiconductor-compatible metal of Ag is deposited on glass as the growth catalyst for the surfactantassisted chemical vapor deposition of GaSb NWs.The uniform morphology,balance stoichiometry,high-quality crystallinity,and phase purity of as-prepared NWs are checked by scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,and X-ray diffraction.The electrical properties of as-prepared NWs are studied by constructing back-gated field-effect-transistors,displaying a high I_(on)/I_(off) ratio of 10^(4) and high peak hole mobility of 400 cm^(2)/(V·s).Benefiting from the excellent electrical and mechanical flexibility properties,the as-fabricated NW flexible NIR photodetector exhibits high sensitivity and excellent photoresponse,with responsivity as high as 618 A/W and detectivity as high as 6.7×10^(10) Jones.Furthermore,there is no obvious decline in NIR photodetection behavior,even after parallel and perpendicular folding with 1200 cycles.Zixu Sa Fengjing Liu Dong Liu Mingxu Wang Jie Zhang Yanxue Yin Zhiyong Pang Xinming Zhuang Peng Wang Zaixing Yang 2022Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,11:1
7Serum-induced degradation of 3D DNA box origami observed with high-speed atomic force microscopy显示文摘3D DNA origami holds tremendous potential for the encapsulation and selective release of therapeutic drugs. Observations of the real-time performance of these structures in physiological environments will contribute to the development of future applications. We investigated the degradation kinetics of 3D DNA box origami in serum by using high-speed atomic force microscope optimized for imaging 3D DNA origami in real time. The time resolution allowed to characterize the stages of serum effects on individual 3D DNA boxes origami with nanometer resolution. Our results indicate that the digestion process is a combination of rapid collapse and slow degradation phases. Damage to box origami occurs mainly in the collapse phase. 12Multi-source genesis of continental carbonate-rich fine-grained sedimentary rocks and hydrocarbon sweet spots显示文摘This paper systematically discusses the multiple source characteristics and formation mechanisms of carbonate-rich fine-grained sedimentary rocks through the analysis of material source and rock formation.The hydrocarbon accumulation characteristics of carbonate-rich fine-grained sedimentary rocks are also summarized.The results show that the main reason for the enrichment of fine-grained carbonate materials in rift lake basins was the supply of multiple material sources,including terrestrial material input,formation of intrabasinal authigenic carbonate,volcanic-hydrothermal material feeding and mixed source.The development of carbonate bedrock in the provenance area controlled the filling scale of carbonate materials in rift lake basins.The volcanic-hydrothermal activity might provide an alkaline fluid to the lake basins to strengthen the material supply for the formation of carbonate crystals.Authigenic carbonate crystals induced by biological processes were the main source of long-term accumulation of fine-grained carbonate materials in the lake basins.Carbonate-rich fine-grained sedimentary rocks with multiple features were formed through the interaction of physical,biochemical and chemical processes during the deposition and post-deposition stages.The source and sedimentary origin of the fine-grained carbonate rock controlled the hydrocarbon accumulation in it.In the multi-source system,the types of'sweet spots'of continental shale oil and gas include endogenous type,terrigenous type,volcanic-hydrothermal type and mixed source type.JIANG Zaixing KONG Xiangxin YANG Yepeng ZHANG Jianguo ZHANG Yuanfu WANG Li YUAN Xiaodong 2021Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,1:0
13Direct observation and manipulation of hot electrons at room temperature显示文摘In modern electronics and optoelectronics,hot electron behaviors are highly concerned,as they determine the performance limit of a device or system,like the associated thermal or power constraint of chips and the Shockley-Queisser limit for solar cell efficiency.To date,however,the manipulation of hot electrons has been mostly based on conceptual interpretations rather than a direct observation.The problem arises from a fundamental fact that energy-differential electrons are mixed up in real-space,making it hard to distinguish them from each other by standard measurements.Here we demonstrate a distinct approach to artificially(spatially)separate hot electrons from cold ones in semiconductor nanowire transistors,which thus offers a unique opportunity to observe and modulate electron occupied state,energy,mobility and even path.Such a process is accomplished through the scanning-photocurrent-microscopy measurements by activating the intervalley-scattering events and 1D charge-neutrality rule.Findings here may provide a new degree of freedom in manipulating non-equilibrium electrons for both electronic and optoelectronic applications.Hailu Wang Fang Wang Hui Xia Peng Wang Tianxin Li Juzhu Li Zhen Wang Jiamin Sun Peisong Wu Jiafu Ye Qiandong Zhuang Zaixing Yang Lan Fu Weida Hu Xiaoshuang Chen Wei Lu 2021National Science Review2021,8,9:0

153D hierarchical oxygen-deficient AlCoNi-(oxy)hydroxides/N-doped carbon hybrids enable efficient battery-type asymmetric supercapacitor显示文摘Polynary transition-metal layered hydroxides are promising energy materials owing to their unique architecture,impressive theoretical capacities,and adjustable compositions.Regulating the dimensional morphology and active sites/redox states are the keys to electrochemical performance enhancement.Distinguish from the reported mono-metal or binary-metal configurations,a new ternary-metal AlCoNi-LTH is coanchored onto a highly graphitized porous N-doped carbon matrix to develop superior 3D hierarchical microporous functional energy hybrids AlCoNi-LTHs/NAC.The constructed hybrids possess superior structural durability,good electrical conductivity,and rich active sites due to the strong interfacial conjunction and favorable synergistic effect between the doped porous carbon and AlCoNi nanosheets.Consequently,the AlCoNi-LTHs/NAC hybrids demonstrate high conductivity,reasonable specific surface area,and superior specific capacitance,and the assembled hybrid battery-type supercapacitor reveals an ideal energy density of 72.6 Wh kg^(-1)at a power density of 625 W kg^(-1),which is superior to the reported devices.This strategy opens a platform to rationally design polynary transition-metal layered hydroxides and their hybrids for efficient supercapacitors.Renjie Zhang Wei Zhang Qun Yang Jidong Dong Lina Ma Zaixing Jiang Yudong Huang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,9:0
16Reservoir Characteristics and Controlling Factors of Silurian Lower Kepingtage Formation in Tahe Area, Tarim Basin, NW China显示文摘With the breakthrough of exploration in Well TP16-1, the lower Kepingtage Formation becomes a key target for petroleum exploration of deep clastic reservoir in Tahe area. In this paper we focused on the research of the reservoir characteristics and its controlling factors in two sub-member formations(S_1k_1~1 and S_1k_1~3). Based on X-ray diffraction, conventional physical properties data(porosity and permeability) and reservoir storage space data(casting thin section and scanning electron microscope), we determined that the S_1k_1 Formation belongs to extra-low porosity and permeability reservoir, although the upper S_1k_1~3 Formation shows relative better physical characteristic than the lower S_1k_1~1 Formation. The development of storage space in the study area is controlled by sedimentary microfacies, diagenesis process. Reservoirs in S_1k_1 Formation are mainly located in channel(S_1k_1~1 sandstones) and sand flat(S_1k_1~3 sandstones). The sand flat sediments with a more coarse grain size compared with the channel. In diagenesis, compaction is the major controlling factor for reducing the porosity, followed by cementation. Dissolution of diagenesis is the major controlling factor in enhancing the reservoir porosities. Compared with channel(S_1k_1~1) sandstones, sand flat sandstones(S_1k_1~3) have better reservoir quality for its weaker compaction, cementation and stronger dissolution. On the basis of sedimentary characteristics(grain size and subfacies), physical property(porosity and permeability) and reservoir storage space, we divide the S_1k_1 reservoir into three categories(I, II and III). Type I reservoir is high quality reservoir. It is mainly distributed in the south area of S_1k_1~1 and S_1k_1~3 reservoir. Type II is moderate reservoir. It is located in the middle of S_1k_1~1 reservoir and in the north of S_1k_1~3 reservoir. Type III is the poor reservoir. 17A pH-responsive nanoparticle delivery system containing dihydralazine and doxorubicin-based prodrug for enhancing antitumor efficacy显示文摘The efficacy of nanoparticle(NP)-based drug delivery technology is hampered by aberrant tumor stromal microenvironments(TSMs)that hinder NP transportation.Therefore,the promotion of NP permeation into deep tumor sites via the regulation of tumor microenvironments is of critical importance.Herein,we propose a potential solution using a dihydralazine(HDZ)-loaded nanoparticle drug delivery system containing a pH-responsive,cyclic RGD peptide-modified prodrug based on doxorubicin(cRGD-Dex-DOX).With a combined experimental and theoretical approach,we find that the designed NP system can recognize the acid tumor environments and precisely release the encapsulated HDZ into tumor tissues.HDZ can notably downregulate the expression levels of hypoxia-inducible factor 1α(HIF1α),α-smooth muscle actin,and fibronectin through the dilation of tumor blood vessels.These changes in the TSMs enhance the enrichment and penetration of NPs and also unexpectedly promote the infiltration of activated T cells into tumors,suggesting that such a system may offer an effective“multifunctional therapy”through both improving the chemotherapeutic effect and enhancing the immune response to tumors.In vivo experiments on 4T1 breast cancer bearing mice indeed validate that this therapy has the most outstanding antitumor effects over all the other tested control regimens,with the lowest side effects as well.Lianxue Zhang Jianxiang Huang Damiano Buratto Panli Han Zaixing Yang Ruhong Zhou 2024Aggregate2024,5,1:0
