| 1 | High-Temperature Metamorphism, Anataxis and Tectonic Evolution of a Mafic Granulite from the Eastern Himalayan Orogen显示文摘The Himalayan Orogen, resulting from the Tertiary collision of Indian and Asian continents, is a natural laboratory for studying metamorphism, partial melting and granite formation of collisional orogens. However, metamorphic and anatectic conditions and timescales of meta-mafic rocks in the Greater Himalayan Sequences(GHS) in the east-central Himalaya remain controversial. In this paper, we conduct a study of petrology and geochronology of mafic granulite from the Eastern Himalayan Syntaxis(EHS). The mafic granulite with abundant leucosome bands occurs as layers within felsic granulites and is well deformed. The granulite consists of garnet, plagioclase, amphibole and quartz with minor clinopyroxene, orthopyroxene, biotite, rutile, titanite and ilmenite. The garnet has growth compositional zoning and contains abundant mineral inclusions in its core. Peak metamorphic mineral assemblage of the granulite is garnet, amphibole, plagioclase, quartz, clinopyroxene and rutile, recording a high-pressure(HP) and high-temperature(HT) peak-metamorphism under conditions of 14–15.5 kbar and 780–790℃ in the presence of melt. The reconstructed clockwise P-T path is characterized by an early heating and burial prograde metamorphism, and late isothermal and cooling decompression retrogression. The granulite witnessed a long lasting HT metamorphism, partial melting and melt crystallization process which began at ca. 39 Ma and lasted to ca. 11 Ma. The present study shows that various high-grade rocks of the GHS in the EHS core experienced similar metamorphic conditions and P-T-t paths, indicating that they occurred as a coherent slab during the subduction and exhumation of Indian lithosphere. The significant melts generated during the prograde metamorphism of the GHS rocks not only contributed to the formation of the Himalayan leucogranite, but also resulted in the rheological weakening and ductile flow of the thickened lower crust of the Himalayan Orogen. | Zeming Zhang Huixia Ding Xin Dong Zuolin Tian Dongyan Kang Hongchen Mu Shengkai Qin Yuanyuan Jiang Mengmei Li | 2018 | Journal of Earth Science2018,29,5: | 7 |
| 2 | Fabricating pyridinic N-B sites in porous carbon as efficient metal-free electrocatalyst in conversion CO_(2)into CH_(4)显示文摘Electrochemical reduction of CO_(2)(CO_(2)RR)to value-added chemicals is an attractive strategy for greenhouse gas mitigation and carbon recycle.Carbon material is one of most promising electrocatalysts but its product selectivity is limited by few modulating approaches for active sites.Herein, the predominant pyridinic N-B sites(accounting for 80%to all N species)are fabricated in hierarchically porous structure of graphene nanoribbons/amorphous carbon. The graphene nanoribbons and porous structure can accelerate electron and ion/gas transport during CO_(2)RR,respectively.This carbon electrocatalyst exhibits excellent selectivity toward CO_(2)reduction to CH_(4)with the faradaic efficiency of 68%at−0.50 V vs.RHE.As demonstrated by density functional theory,a proper adsorbed energy of∗CO and∗CH_(2)O are generated on the pyridinic N-B site resulting into high CH_(4)selectivity.Therefore,this study provides a novel method to modulate active sites of carbon-based electrocatalyst to obtain high CH_(4)selectivity. | Yuying Zhao Qixin Yuan Mengmeng Fan Ao Wang Kang Sun Zeming Wang Jianchun Jiang | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8: | 1 |
| 3 | Porous heterostructure of graphene/hexagonal boron nitride as an efficient electrocatalyst for hydrogen peroxide generation显示文摘Compared with the traditional heteroatom doping, employing heterostructure is a new modulating approach for carbon-based electrocatalysts.Herein,a facile ball milling-assisted route is proposed to synthesize porous carbon materials composed of abundant graphene/hexagonal boron nitride(G/h-BN)heterostructures.Metal Ni powder and nanoscale h-BN sheets are used as a catalytic substrate/hard template and“nucleation seed”for the formation of the heterostructure,respectively.As-prepared G/h-BN heterostructures exhibit enhanced electrocatalytic activity toward H_(2)O_(2) generation with 86%-95%selectivity at the range of 0.45-0.75 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)and a positive onset potential of 0.79 versus RHE(defined at a ring current density of 0.3 mA cm^(-2))in the alkaline solution. In a flow cell,G/h-BN heterostructured electrocatalyst has a H_(2)O_(2) production rate of up to 762 mmol g_(catalyst)^(-1) h^(-1) and Faradaic efficiency of over 75%during 12 h testing, superior to the reported carbon-based electrocatalysts. The density functional theory simulation suggests that the B atoms at the interface of the G/h-BN heterostructure are the key active sites. This research provides a new route to activate carbon catalysts toward highly active and selective O_(2)-to-H_(2)O_(2) conversion. | Mengmeng Fan Zeming Wang Yuying Zhao Qixin Yuan Jian Cui Jithu Raj Kang Sun Ao Wang Jingjie Wu Hao Sun Bei Li Liang Wang Jianchun Jiang | 2023 | Carbon Energy2023,5,5: | 0 |
| 4 | DNA repair-and nucleotide metabolism-related genes exhibit differential CHG methylation patterns in natural and synthetic polyploids (Brassica napus L.)显示文摘Polyploidization plays a crucial role in the evolution of angiosperm species.Almost all newly formed polyploids encounter genetic or epigenetic instabilities. However, the molecular mechanisms contributing to genomic instability in synthetic polyploids have not been clearly elucidated. Here,we performed a comprehensive transcriptomic and methylomic analysis of natural and synthetic polyploid rapeseeds(Brassica napus). Our results showed that the CHG methylation levels of synthetic rapeseed in different genomic contexts(genes, transposon regions, and repeat regions)were signi fi cantly lower than those of natural rapeseed. The total number and length of CHG-DMRs between natural and synthetic polyploids were much greater than those of CG-DMRs and CHH-DMRs,and the genes overlapping with these CHG-DMRs were signi fi cantly enriched in DNA damage repair and nucleotide metabolism pathways. These results indicated that CHG methylation may be more sensitive than CG and CHH methylation in regulating the stability of the polyploid genome of B.napus.In addition, many genes involved in DNA damage repair, nucleotide metabolism, and cell cycle control were significantly differentially expressed between natural and synthetic rapeseeds. Our results highlight that the genes related to DNA repair and nucleotide metabolism display differential CHG methylation patterns between natural and synthetic polyploids and reveal the potential connection between the genomic instability of polyploid plants with DNA methylation defects and dysregulation of the DNA repair system. In addition,it was found that the maintenance of CHG methylation in B.napus might be partially regulated by MET1.Our study provides novel insights into the establishment and evolution of polyploid plants and offers a potentialidea for improving the genomic stability of newly formed Brassica polyploids. | Liqin Yin Zhendong Zhu Liangjun Huang Xuan Luo Yun Li Chaowen Xiao Jin Yang Jisheng Wang Qiong Zou Lanrong Tao Zeming Kang Rong Tang Maolin Wang Shaohong Fu | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 0 |
