| 1 | Principles and methods for the validation of quantitative remote sensing products显示文摘We first discuss the relativity of 'true value and homogeneity' for quantitative remote sensing products (QRSPs), and then propose the definitions of 'eigenaccuracy' and 'eigenhomogeneity' under practical conditions. The eigenaccuracy and eigenhomogeneity for land surface crucial parameters such as albedo, leaf area index (LAI), and surface temperature are analyzed based on a series of experiments. Secondly, we point out the differences and similarities between the scale-free phenomena of the QRSPs and the measurements of the coastline length (1-dimensional) and the curved surface area (2-dimensional). An information fractal algorithm for the QRSPs is presented. In a case study for the LAI, when the fractal dimension is 2.16, the ratio of the LAI retrieval values obtained respectively from remote sensing data of 30 m and 6 km pixel resolution can actually reach as high as 2.86 for the same 6 km pixel using the same retrieval model. | 4 | Numerical Simulation of Preferential Flow of Contaminants in Soil显示文摘A simple modeling approach was suggested to simulate preferential transport of water and contaminants in soil. After saturated hydraulic conductivity was interpolated by means of Krige interpolation method or scaling method, and then zoned, the locations where saturated hydraulic conductivity was larger represented regions where preferential flow occurred, because heterogeneity of soil, one of the mechanisms resulting in preferential flow, could be reflected through the difference in saturated hydraulic conductivity. The modeling approach was validated through numerical simulation of contaminant transport in a two-dimensional hypothetical soil profile. | 5 | Isolation and identification of novel casein-derived bioactive peptides and potential functions in fermented casein with Lactobacillus helveticus显示文摘The present study here establishes a complete and effective method for isolating,purifying and identifying extracellular and intracellular peptides,and also describes the characters and bioactivities of peptides from fermented casein with Lactobacillus helveticus.Intracellular peptides are much larger in quantity and more complex in composition than extracellular peptides,between which the correlation reveals proteolytic and metabolic mechanisms.In addition,totally 241 different peptide sequences were identified by Nano LC–MS/MS from casein(212)and Lactobacillus helveticus proteins(29).These casein-derived peptides mostly originated from-casein,followed byS1-casein,-casein,andS2-casein,and came from extracell(69)and intracell(143),in which common peptides have a total of 27.Forty-four of the identified peptides were previously described as bioactive,including angiotensinconverting enzyme(ACE)-inhibitory,antioxidant,immunomodulating,antimicrobial,DPP-IV inhibitory,antiamnesic and anticancer effects and so on.Thirteen peptides with the potential of some biological activities are obtained,which were described in previous studies.A total of 47 novel peptides of 5 to 26 amino acids that were not disclosed were obtained.The new sources of natural bioactive peptides may have the very high application value as potential new peptide drugs for treatment human diseases.The product peptide DELQDKIHPF found in both extracell and intracell was quantitatively analyzed using the MRM mode of UPLC-U3Q,23.1 and 9.76 ng/mL,respectively.The quantitative analysis of the potential bioactive peptide may also advance the production of peptide products in the future. | Mengzhu Fan Tingting Guo Wanru Li Jing Chen Fushuo Li Chao Wang Yi Shi David Xi-an Li Shaohui Zhang | 2019 | Food Science and Human Wellness2019,8,2: | 5 |
| 6 | Omics-based integrated analysis identified ATRX as a biomarker associated with glioma diagnosis and prognosis显示文摘Objective:ATRX is a multifunctional protein that is tightly regulated by and implicated in transcriptional regulation and chromatin remodeling.Numerous studies have shown that genetic alterations in ATRX play a significant role in gliomas.This study aims to further determine the relationship between ATRX and glioma prognosis and identify possible mechanisms for exploring the biological significance of ATRX using large data sets.Methods:We used The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database and 130 immunohistochemical results to confirm the difference in ATRX mutations in high-and low-grade gliomas.An online analysis of the TCGA glioma datasets using the cBioPortal platform was performed to study the relationship between ATRX mutations and IDH1,TP53,CDKN2 A and CDKN2 B mutations in the corresponding TCGA glioma dataset.In combination with clinical pathology data,the biological significance of the relationships were analyzed.Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway analyses and annotations of all adjacent genes in the network were performedin the Database for Annotation,Visualization and Integrated Discovery(DAVID)and R language.A protein-protein interaction(PPI)network was constructed,and the interactions of all adjacent nodes were analyzed by the String database and using Cytoscape software.Results:In the selected TCGA glioma datasets,a total of 2,228 patients were queried,21%of whom had ATRX alterations,which co-occurred frequently with TP53 and IDH1 mutations.ATRX alterations are associated with multiple critical molecular events,which results in a significantly improved overall survival(OS)rate.In low-grade gliomas,ATRX mutations are significantly associated with multiple important molecular events,such as ZNF274 and FDXR at mRNA and protein levels.A functional cluster analysis revealed that these genes played a role in chromatin binding and P53,and a link was observed between ATRX and IDH1 and TP53 in the interaction network.ATRX and TP53 are important nodes in the network and have potential links with the blood oxygen imbalance.Conclusions:ATRX mutations have clinical implications for the molecular diagnosis of gliomas and can provide diagnostic and prognostic information for gliomas.ATRX is expected to serve as a new therapeutic target. | Yingbin Xie Yanli Tan Chao Yang Xuehao Zhang Can Xu Xiaoxia Qiao Jianglong Xu Shaohui Tian Chuan Fang Chunsheng Kang | 2019 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,4: | 5 |
