1Tiny But Mighty:Promising Roles of MicroRNAs in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Parkinson's Disease显示文摘Parkinson's disease(PD) is the second most common age-related neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer's disease. To date, the clinical diagnosis of PD is primarily based on the late onset of motor impairments. Unfortunately, at this stage, most of the dopaminergic neurons may have already been lost, leading to the limited clinical benefits of current therapeutics.Therefore, early identification of PD, especially at the prodromal stage, is still a main challenge in the diagnosis and management of this disease. Recently, microRNAs(miRNAs) in cerebrospinal fluid or peripheral blood have been proposed as putative biomarkers to assist in PD diagnosis and therapy. 2Effects of extracts from Chuanwu(Aconitum Carmichaelii) and Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae) on excisional wound healing in a rat's model显示文摘OBJEVTIVE: To investigate the effects of extracts from Chuanwu(Aconitum Carmichaelii) and Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae) on the excisional wound healing in a rat's model.METHODS: Rats were performed a surgical lesion with a 2.0 cm resected tissue in the dorsal fascia.Following, animals were randomly divided into model group, YNB group and APE group those were respectively treated with saline, 1 mg/mL of Yunnan Baiyao and 1 mg/mL of Chuanwu(Aconitum Carmichaelii) and Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae) extracts. Wound contractions in days 0, 3, 7, 14 and 21 were calculated by an image analyzer. Histological analysis was analyzed using hematoxilin and eosin.Levels of tumor necrosis factor-2(IL-2), IL-4, IL-10, transformαin(TNF-g growα), interleukinth factor-1(TGF-nd basic fibroblast growth factor(bFββ1) a-GF) were determined by real-time quantitative PCR.RESULTS: Compared with that of YNB group and APE gtoup, the skin of rats showed poor re-modeling and re-epithelization characterized by a significant decrease of neovascularization, epithelialization and fibroblast in the model group. 3Natural Stibnite for Lithium‑/Sodium‑Ion Batteries:Carbon Dots Evoked High Initial Coulombic Efficiency显示文摘The application of Sb_(2)S_(3)with marvelous theoretical capacity for alkali metal-ion batteries is seriously limited by its poor electrical conductivity and low initial coulombic efficiency(ICE).In this work,natural stibnite modified by carbon dots(Sb_(2)S_(3)@xCDs)is elaborately designed with high ICE.Greatly,chemical processes of local oxidation–partial reduction–deep coupling for stibnite reduction of CDs are clearly demonstrated,confirmed with in situ high-temperature X-ray diffraction.More impressively,the ICE for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)is enhanced to 85%,through the effect of oxygen-rich carbon matrix on C–S bonds which inhibit the conversion of sulfur to sulfite,well supported by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy characterization of solid electrolyte interphase layers helped with density functional theory calculations.Not than less,it is found that Sb–O–C bonds existed in the interface effectively promote the electronic conductivity and expedite ion transmission by reducing the bandgap and restraining the slip of the dislocation.As a result,the optimal sample delivers a tremendous reversible capacity of 660 mAh g^(−1)in LIBs at a high current rate of 5 A g^(−1).This work provides a new methodology for enhancing the electrochemical energy storage performance of metal sulfides,especially for improving the ICE.Yinger Xiang Laiqiang Xu Li Yang Yu Ye Zhaofei Ge Jiae Wu Wentao Deng Guoqiang Zou Hongshuai Hou Xiaobo Ji 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,8:1

5Plants affect the horizontal transmission of a new densovirus infecting the green peach aphid Myzus persicae by modulating honeydew production显示文摘In a tritrophic context of plant-insect-entomopathogen,plants play important roles in modulating the interaction of insects and their pathogenic viruses.Currently,the influence of plants on the transmission of insect viruses has been mainly studied on baculoviruses and some RNA viruses,whereas the impact of plants on other insect viruses is largely unknown.Here,we identified a new densovirus infecting the green peach aphid Myzus persicae and tested whether and how host plants influence the transmission of the aphid densovirus.The complete single-stranded DNA genome of the virus,M.persicae densovirus 2,is 5727 nt and contains inverted terminal repeats.Transcription and phylogenetic analysis indicated that the virus was distinct from other a few identified aphid densoviruses.The virus abundance was detected highly in the intestinal tract of aphids,compared with the lower level of it in other tissues including head,embryo,and epidermis.Cabbage and pepper plants had no obvious effect on the vertical transmission and saliva-mediated horizontal transmission of the virus.However,the honeydew-mediated horizontal transmission among aphids highly depended on host plants(65%on cabbages versus 17%on peppers).Although the virus concentration in the honeydew produced by aphids between 2 plants was similar,the honeydew production of the infected aphids reared on peppers was dramatically reduced.Taken together,our results provide evidence that plants influence the horizontal transmission of a new densovirus in an aphid population by modulating honeydew secretion of aphids,suggesting plants may manipulate the spread of an aphid-pathogenic densovirus in nature.Ya Guo Yani Zhao Yang Yang Yahong Zhang Yuying Li Honggang Tian Tong-Xian Liu Zhaofei Li 2024Insect Science2024,31,1:0
6Synthesis of Hierarchical Porous Fe_(2)O_(3)/Al_(2)O_(3) Materials and Study on Catalytic Viscosity Reduction of Heavy Oil显示文摘Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles were first dispersed in a sol solution containing an aluminum component introduced by an initial doping method.Composite catalyst Hierarchical Porous Fe_(2)O_(3)/Al_(2)O_(3) materials(HPFA)were then synthesized through a sol-gel method via phase separation.The performance of HPFA was compared with that of Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticle catalysts.The structure of the composite catalyst was characterized by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,N_(2) adsorption/desorption,and crush strength testing.The results showed that the Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles could be loaded into the porous skeletons of Hierarchical Porous Al_(2)O_(3) materials(HPA)to achieve a uniform dispersion while avoiding agglomeration,which improved the mechanical strength of the porous materials significantly.The HPFA was then used as a catalyst in the hydrothermal viscosity reduction process of Tuha heavy oil,and the viscosity reduction was investigated.The viscosity reduction rate of HPFA was 81%,which was better than that of the Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles(56%)and HPA(47%).Wu Peiyue Ma Zhaofei Yang Haiyang Xiong Pan Tan Dichen Yan Xuemin 2022China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2022,24,4:0
7Post-fire invasion risk of Chinese tallow(Triadica sebifera)in a slash pine flatwood ecosystem in the Gulf of Mexico Coastal Plain,United States:mechanisms and contributing factors at the community level显示文摘The invasion of Chinese tallow(Triadica sebifera(L.)Small)is a serious threat to the endangered slash pine(Pinus elliottii)flatwood ecosystem in the Gulf of Mexico Coastal Plain,United States.Prescribed fire in combination with vegetation management has been suggested as a preferred approach for mitigating Chinese tallow invasion and restoring this endangered ecosystem.A large plot of 0.86-ha with 281 nested contiguous 30-m^(2) quadrats was established in a tallow-invaded slash pine flatwood and all tallow trees,saplings,seedlings and associated factors in each quadrat were measured to study the community-level tallow invasion processes before and after a prescribed fire and by dispersal and community factors.Classification and regression tree models show that the dispersal factors(distances to the road and to the trail)and microtopography(elevation)determine the invasion probability of tallow,but the degree of invasion(abundance)of tallow depends on the interactions of both dispersal factors and community factors such as canopy closure and grass/herbaceous coverage.Areas nearer to roads and trails,dominated by native grass/herbaceous species,and with a low elevation and canopy closure are highly susceptible to tallow invasion and establishment.The effect of fire on tallow invasion varies with overstory and understory conditions.Density of tallow seedlings and saplings increased greatly after fire in the areas dominated by slash pines in the overstory and native grass/herbaceous species in the understory.To control tallow invasion and establishment,tallow seed trees/sources should be removed from the area and vicinity to be burned.Nannan Cheng Zhaofei Fan Nancy Loewenstein Robert Gitzen Shaoyang Yang 2021Forestry Research2021,1,1:0
