2An Improved Underwater Acoustic Network Localization Algorithm显示文摘Underwater sensor network can achieve the unmanned environmental monitoring and military monitoring missions.Underwater acoustic sensor node cannot rely on the GPS to position itself,and the traditional indirect positioning methods used in Ad Hoc networks are not fully applicable to the localization of underwater acoustic sensor networks.In this paper,we introduce an improved underwater acoustic network localization algorithm.The algorithm processes the raw data before localization calculation to enhance the tolerance of random noise.We reduce the redundancy of the calculation results by using a more accurate basic algorithm and an adjusted calculation strategy.The improved algorithm is more suitable for the underwater acoustic sensor network positioning.WU Zhehao LI Xia 2015China Communications2015,12,3:5
3Root tensile strength of terrace hedgerow plants in the karst trough valleys of SW China:Relation with root morphology and fiber content显示文摘Root tensile strength is commonly affected by root morphology and fiber content,which combinedly affect the effectiveness of terrace hedgerow on controlling soil erosion in sloping farmland.However,the relationships between these root characteristics are still elusive.This study aimed to compare the root tensile strength,root morphologies,and root fiber contents,and quantify their differences among different plant species.Complete root systems of three terrace hedgerow plant species,i.e.,O.bodinieri,V.villosa,and D.lablab L.were sampled for detecting root morphologies and fiber contents at different slope positions on a representative hillslope in karst trough valley.Single root specimens were collected to measure root tensile properties for these three plant species.Results showed that most root morphological parameters were the highest in O.bodinieri,followed by D.lablab L.Three plant species presented the same dominant diameter class as<1.0 mm,and root volumes as<1.50 cm3.Cellulose with contents closing to 50%was the main fiber type,and increased significantly linearly with the increasing root diameter in both O.bodinieri and V.villosa.The highest tensile strength and Young's modulus were found in D.lablab L.,while the best ultimate tensile force and ultimate elongation were displayed in O.bodinieri.Root diameter showed negative power relationships with tensile strength and Young's modulus,a positive power relationship with ultimate tensile force,and a positive linear relationship with ultimate elongation.Our results will deepen the understanding of the terrace hedgerow functions for controlling soil erosion worldwide.Yun Chen Han Tang Binghui He Zhehao Yan Xiaohong Liu Jiaojiao Qiang 2022International Soil and Water Conservation Research2022,10,4:3
4Investigation of feature contribution to shield tunneling-induced settlement using Shapley additive explanations method显示文摘Accurate prediction of shield tunneling-induced settlement is a complex problem that requires consideration of many influential parameters.Recent studies reveal that machine learning(ML)algorithms can predict the settlement caused by tunneling.However,well-performing ML models are usually less interpretable.Irrelevant input features decrease the performance and interpretability of an ML model.Nonetheless,feature selection,a critical step in the ML pipeline,is usually ignored in most studies that focused on predicting tunneling-induced settlement.This study applies four techniques,i.e.Pearson correlation method,sequential forward selection(SFS),sequential backward selection(SBS)and Boruta algorithm,to investigate the effect of feature selection on the model’s performance when predicting the tunneling-induced maximum surface settlement(S_(max)).The data set used in this study was compiled from two metro tunnel projects excavated in Hangzhou,China using earth pressure balance(EPB)shields and consists of 14 input features and a single output(i.e.S_(max)).The ML model that is trained on features selected from the Boruta algorithm demonstrates the best performance in both the training and testing phases.The relevant features chosen from the Boruta algorithm further indicate that tunneling-induced settlement is affected by parameters related to tunnel geometry,geological conditions and shield operation.The recently proposed Shapley additive explanations(SHAP)method explores how the input features contribute to the output of a complex ML model.It is observed that the larger settlements are induced during shield tunneling in silty clay.Moreover,the SHAP analysis reveals that the low magnitudes of face pressure at the top of the shield increase the model’s output。K.K.Pabodha M.Kannangara Wanhuan Zhou Zhi Ding Zhehao Hong 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,4:3

6Assessment of river basin habitat quality and its relationship with disturbance factors: A case study of the Tarim River Basin in Northwest China显示文摘The status of regional biodiversity is determined by habitat quality.The effective assessment of habitat quality can help balance the relationship between economic development and biodiversity conservation.Therefore,this study used the InVEST model to conduct a dynamic evaluation of the spatial and temporal changes in habitat quality of the Tarim River Basin in southern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China by calc ulating the degradation degree levels for habitat types that were caused by threat factors from 1990 to 2018(represented by four periods of 1990,2000,2010 and 2018).Specifically,we used spatial autocorrelation analysis and Getis-Ord Gi*analysis to divide the study area into three heterogeneous units in terms of habitat quality:cold spot areas,hot spot areas and random areas.Hemeroby index,population density,gross domestic product(GDP),altitude and distance from water source(DWS)were then chosen as the main disturbance factors.Linear correlation and spatial regression models were subsequently used to analyze the influences of disturbance factors on habitat quality.The results demonstrated that the overall level of habitat quality in the TRB was poor,showing a continuous degradation state.The intensity of the negative correlation between habitat quality and Hemeroby index was proven to be strongest in cold spot areas,hot spot areas and random areas.The spatial lag model(SLM)was better suited to spatial regression analysis due to the spatial dependence of habitat quality and disturbance factors in heterogeneous units.By analyzing the model,Hemeroby index was found to have the greatest impact on habitat quality in the studied four periods(1990,2000,2010 and2018).The research results have potential guiding significance for the formulation of reasonable management policies in the TRB as well as other river basins in arid areas.HE Bing CHANG Jianxia GUO Aijun WANG Yimin WANG Yan LI Zhehao 2022Journal of Arid Land2022,14,2:2

9Two-Dimensional Metal-Organic Frameworks with Unique Oriented Layers for Oxygen Reduction Reaction:Tailoring the Activity through Exposed Crystal Facets显示文摘As one of the most important families of porous materials,metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)have well-defined atomic structures.This provides ideal models for investigating and understanding the relationships between structures and catalytic activities at the molecular level.However,the active sites on the edges of two-dimensional(2D)MOFs have rarely been studied,as they are less exposed to the surfaces.Here,for the first time,we synthesized and observed that the 2D layers could align perpendicular to the surface of a 2D zeolitic imidazolate framework L(ZIF-L)with a leaf-like morphology.Owing to this unique orientation,the active sites on the edges of the 2D crystal structure could mostly be exposed to the surfaces.Interestingly,when another layer of ZIF-L-Co was grown heteroepitaxially onto ZIF-L-Zn(ZIF-L-Zn@ZIF-L-Co),the two layers shared a common b axis but rotated by 90°in the ac plane.This demonstrated that we could control exposed facets of the 2D MOFs.The ZIF-L-Co with more exposed edge active sites exhibited high electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction.This work provides a new concept of designing unique oriented layers in 2D MOFs to expose more edge-active sites for efficient electrocatalysis.Yanzhi Wang Tu Sun Amir H.B.Mostaghimi Tiago J.Goncalves Zuozhong Liang Yuye Zhou Wei Zhang Zhehao Huang Yanhang Ma Rui Cao Samira Siahrostami Haoquan Zheng 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,5:1
10Tomato SIBL4 plays an important role in fruit pedicel organogenesis and abscission显示文摘Abscission,a cell separation process,is an important trait that in fluences grain and fruit yield.We previously reported that BEL1-LIKE HOMEODOMAIN 4(SIBL4)is involved in chloroplast development and cell wall metabolism in tomato fruit.In the present study,we showed that silencing SIBL4 resulted in the enlargement and pre-abscission of the tomato(Solanum lycopersicum cv.Micro-TOM)fruit pedicel.The anatomic analysis showed the presence of more epidermal cell layers and no obvious abscission zone(AZ)in the SlBL4 RNAi lines compared with the wild-type plants.RNA-seq analysis indicated that the regulation of abscission by SlBL4 was associated with the altered abundance of genes related to key meristems,auxin transporters,signaling components,and cell wall metabolism.Furthermore,SlBL4 positively affected the auxin concentration in the abscission zone.A dual-luciferase reporter assay revealed that SlBL4 activated the transcription of the JOINTLESS,OVATE,PIN1,and LAX3 genes.We reported a novel function ofSlBL4,which plays key roles in fruit pedicel organogenesis and abscission in tomatoes.Fang Yan Zhehao Gong Guojian Hu Xuesong Ma Runyao Bai Ruonan Yu Qiang Zhang Wei Deng Zhengguo Li Hada Wuriyanghan 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1

14Effects of Vessel and Water Temperatures on Direct Injection in Internal Combustion Rankine Cycle Engines显示文摘This study focused on the effects of vessel and water temperatures on direct injection in internal combustion Rankine cycle engines through experimental and numerical methods.First,a study was carried out with schlieren photography using a high-speed camera for simultaneous liquid–gas diagnoses.Water was directly injected into a constant-volume vessel that provided stable boundaries.We wrote a MATLAB program to calculate spray tip penetration and cone angle from the images.For the further extension of boundary conditions,a numerical model was established and calibrated in AVL-FIRE for the thorough analysis of injection characteristics.Both experimental and numerical results indicated that injection and vessel temperatures have different effects on spray tip penetration.An increase in injected water temperature leads to shorter spray tip penetration,while the spray tip penetration increases with increasing vessel temperature.However,increased injection and vessel temperatures can both decrease the spray cone angle.Moreover,the simulation results also suggested that heat conduction is a main factor in boosting evaporation under top dead center conditions.When the internal energy of water parcels surges,these parcels evaporate immediately.These results are helpful and crucial for internal combustion engines equipped with direct water injection technology.Jingtao Wu Zhe Kang Zhehao Zhang Zhilong Li Jun Deng Zhijun Wu 2018Automotive Innovation2018,1,4:1

16Surface water exchanges in the Luzon Strait as inferred from Lagrangian coherent structures显示文摘This study presents a Lagrangian view of upper water exchanges across the Luzon Strait based on the finite-time Lyapunov exponents(FTLE)fields computed from the surface geostrophic current.The Lagrangian coherent structures(LCSs)extracted from the FTLE fields well identify the typical flow patterns and eddy activities around the Luzon Strait.In addition,they reveal the intricate transport paths and fluid domains,which are validated by the tracks of satellite-tracked surface drifters and cannot be visually recognized in the velocity maps.The FTLE fields indicate that there are mainly four types of transport patterns near the Luzon Strait;among them,the Kuroshio northward-flowing'leaping'pattern and the clockwise rotating'looping'pattern occur more frequently than the'leaking'pattern of the direct Kuroshio branch into the SCS and the'outflowing'pattern from the SCS to the Pacific.The eddy shedding events of the Kuroshio at the Luzon Strait are further analyzed,and the importance of considering LCSs in estimating transport by eddies is highlighted.The anticyclonic eddy(ACE)shedding cases reveal that ACEs mainly originate from the looping paths of Kuroshio and thus could effectively trap the Kuroshio water before eddy detachments.LCSs provide useful information to predict the positions of the upstream waters that finally enter the ACEs.In contrast,LCS snapshots indicate that during the formation of cyclonic eddies(CEs),most CEs are not connected with the pathways of Kuroshio water.Hence,the contribution of CEs to the surface water exchanges from the Pacific into the SCS is tiny.Zhehao Zheng Wei Zhuang Jianyu Hu Zelun Wu Changjian Liu 2020Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,11:1

18Does the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect Program Enhance the Abnormal Rate of Return and Transaction Volatility of the Underlying Stocks:A Quasi-Natural Experimental Design显示文摘Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect Program,which is a new starting point for the opening up of the mainland capital market,still has many uncertainties.Research on the benefits and market volatility of such policies can provide investors with time to invest in such policies,fluctuations in the underlying stocks of the Chinese stock market,and decision support for the formulation and revision of relevant policies.This paper studies whether there is significant abnormal rate of return in the selected stocks which are in the Shanghai Stock Connect Program within the specified period,the excess return gap between the stocks which are in the program and which are not in the program,and the impact of the Shanghai Stock Connect Program on the volatility of the relevant stocks.Based on the CAPM model and the Fama-French 3-factor model,this paper uses t test to study the significance of the abnormal rate of return.By establishing a difference-in-difference(DID)model,the regression of the abnormal rate of return is tested,and the sample volatility is analyzed according to the influence of the fund transaction.The study found that the stocks in the program have significant abnormal rate of returns during the window period.The Shanghai Stock Connect has brought about a huge change in transaction amount,and policy makers need to improve related and similar policies.Puzhen He Zhehao Zhu 2021经济管理学刊(中英文版)2021,10,1:0
19Volatility Spillover Effect of the International Crude Oil Futures Price on Composite and Sector Indices between the Chinese and Australian Stock Markets显示文摘As a type of non-renewable industrial resource,petroleum is of great strategic significance to the development of each nation.Ever since the 19th century,an array of oil crises have incurred certain downturn of the world economy.Pertinent studies have implied that financial crisis is always prone to be accompanied with oil crisis,yet the relevance of crude oil to the stock market,the barometer of the macro-economy,is ambiguous.In order to avoid the risks induced by the volatility of oil price,the oil futures market has appeared,and at the same time,the financial property of crude oil has become far more evident.Owing to lack of mature mining and refining technology,China still imports large amounts of oil from abroad at present.Thus,the economy of China is susceptible to fluctuation in petroleum price.As for Australia,the only net importer among the member countries of the International Energy Agency(IEA),it fails to attain the target of holding 90 days of fuel reserves set by the agency.However,in 2013,Australian Lincoln Energy announced that a gigantic shale oil field with an estimated value of 21 trillion US dollars was found in the South of Australia,and that if that field is mined,Australia has the possibility to turn into a net exporter of crude oil.It can be expected that the Australia’s economic conditions would be closely related to the international oil to a certain extent.Based on the approaches of the first difference and co-integration,this paper delves into the volatility spillover effect of crude oil futures on the Chinese and Australian stock markets.According to the empirical findings,in the short run,the price of crude oil futures has a greater impact on the Australian composite index than on the Chinese composite index.However,crude oil futures are negatively related to the Chinese composite index in the long run.The price of crude oil futures has no significant impact on the Chinese sector indices,but it has a certain impact on the Australian utilities,energy,materials,and industrial sector indices.In the Chinese stock market,the movement of short-run effect to long-run effect of crude oil futures on sector indices is in the reverse direction.Finally,the price of crude oil futures has a significant volatility spillover effect only on the Australian utilities sector index.Zhehao Zhu Puzhen He 2021经济管理学刊(中英文版)2021,10,1:0
