Magnetostratigraphy of the late Cenozoic Laojunmiao anticline in the northern Qilian Mountains and its implications for the northern Tibetan Plateau uplift显示文摘Cenozoic sediments in the foreland basin--Jiuquan Basin in west Hexi Corridor recorded tectonic uplift information of the Qilian Mountains. High resolution paleomagnetic dating of the Laojunmiao (LJM) section across the central LJM anticline in the southern Jiuquan Basin reveals ages of the Getanggou Member, Niugetao Member in the Shulehe Formation, the Yumen Conglomerate, Jiuquan Conglomerate and Gobi Formation at >13-8.3 Ma, 8.3-4.9 Ma, 3.66-0.93 Ma, 0.84-0.14 Ma and 0.14-0 Ma, respectively. Sedimentary evolution study suggests that the Qilian Mountains should begin to rise gradually since ~8-6.6 Ma, accompanied by sedimentary environments changing from lacustrine mudstones-sandstones to alluvial conglomerates. Rapid uplift of the Qilian Mountains began at ~3.66 Ma, followed by a series of stepwise or intermittent intensive uplifts at about <1.8-1.23 Ma, 0.93-0.84 Ma and 0.14 Ma, which finally resulted in the present high Qilian Mountains.FANG Xiaomin1,2, ZHAO Zhijun3,2, LI Jijun2, YAN Maodu2, PAN Baotian2, SONG Chunhui2 & DAI Shuang2 1. 4Relocation of the mainshock and aftershock sequences of M_S7.0 Sichuan Lushan earthquake显示文摘The mainshock of April 20,2013 Sichuan Lushan MS7.0 earthquake was relocated using a 3-D velocity model.Double difference algorithm was applied to relocate aftershock sequences of Lushan earthquake. The locations of 2405 aftershocks were determined. The location errors in E-W,N-S and U-D direction were 0.30,0.29 and 0.59 km on average, respectively. The location of the mainshock is 102.983°E,30.291°N and the focal depth is 17.6 km.The relocation results show that the aftershocks spread approximately 35 km in length and 16 km in width. The dominant distribution of the focal depth ranges from 10 to 20 km.A few earthquakes occurred in the shallow crust.Focal depth profiles show fault planes dip to the northwest, manifested itself as a listric thrust fault. The dip angle is steep in the shallow crust and gentle in the deep crust.Although the epicenters of aftershocks distributed mainly along both sides of the Shuangshi-Dachuan fault, the seismogenic fault may be a blind thrust fault on the eastern side of the Shuangshi-Dachuan fault.Earthquake relocation results reveal that there is a southeastward tilt aftershock belt intersecting with the seismogenic fault with y-shape.We speculate it is a back thrust fault that often appears in a thrust fault system.Lushan earthquake triggered the seismic activity of the back thrust fault.FANG LiHua WU JianPing WANG WeiLai Lü ZuoYong WANG ChangZai YANG Ting CAI Yan 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:74
Fecal microbiota transplantation broadening its application beyond intestinal disorders显示文摘Intestinal dysbiosis is now known to be a complication in a myriad of diseases.Fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT),as a microbiota-target therapy,is arguably very effective for curing Clostridium difficile infection and has good outcomes in other intestinal diseases.New insights have raised an interest in FMT for the management of extra-intestinal disorders associated with gut microbiota. This review shows that it is an exciting time in the burgeoning science of FMT application in previously unexpected areas, including metabolic diseases, neuropsychiatric disorders, autoimmune diseases, allergic disorders, and tumors.A randomized controlled trial was conducted on FMT in metabolic syndrome by infusing microbiota from lean donors or from self-collected feces, with the resultant findings showing that the lean donor feces group displayed increased insulin sensitivity, along with increased levels of butyrate-producing intestinal microbiota.Case reports of FMT have also shown favorable outcomes in Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, myoclonus dystonia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.FMT is a promising approach in the manipulation of the intestinal microbiota and has potential applications in a variety of extra-intestinal conditions associated with intestinal dysbiosis.Meng-Que Xu Hai-Long Cao Wei-Qiang Wang Shan Wang Xiao-Cang Cao Fang Yan Bang-Mao Wang 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,1:63
Recent Advances in Synthesis of Waterborne Polyurethane and Their Application in Water-based Ink:A Review显示文摘Over the last few years, waterborne polyurethane(WPU) was applied to various fibers, adhesives, primers for metals, caulking materials, emulsion polymerization media, paint additives, defoamers, associate thickeners, pigment pastes, textile dyes and biomaterials, resulting in the increasing enthusiasm of researchers to design and synthesize novel WPU with unique properties. Thus, various processes and raw materials have been developed to prepare WPU.This review gives an overview on the developments of WPU mainly derived from novel polyols, analyzes the potential application in water-based inks and presents the probable future research area about water-based inks.Notably, the poly(ε-caprolactone) and poly(lactic acid) are the versatile materials used in WPU synthesis and supply the potential special performance for preparing WPU.Meanwhile,addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT) polymerization and atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) processes provide an opportunity to control the chain sequence of WPU and obtain products with the desired performance.Xing Zhou Yan Li Changqing Fang Shujuan Li Youliang Cheng Wanqing Lei Xiangjie Meng 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,7:47
Acupuncture and regulation of gastrointestinal function显示文摘In China, acupuncture has been considered an effective method for treating gastrointestinal(GI) dysfunction diseases for thousands of years. In fact, acupuncture has gained progressive acceptance from both practitioners and patients worldwide. However, the therapeutic effects and underlying mechanisms in treating GI dysfunction have not yet been established due to a lack of systematic and comprehensive review articles. Therefore, the aim of this review is to discuss the efficacy of acupuncture as a treatment for GI dysfunction and the associated underlying mechanisms. A search of Pub Med was conducted for articles that were published over the past 10 years using the terms 'acupuncture', 'gastrointestine', and other relevant keywords. In the following review, we describe the effect and underlying mechanisms of acupuncture on GI function from the perspectives of GI motility, visceral sensitivity, the GI barrier, and the brain-gut axis. The dual regulatory effects of acupuncture may manifest by promoting gastric peristalsis in subjects with low initial gastric motility, and suppressing peristalsis in subjects with active initial motility. In addition, the regulation of acupuncture on gastric motility may be intensitydependent. Our findings suggest that further studies are needed to investigate the effects and more systematic mechanisms in treating GI dysfunction, and to promote the application of acupuncture for the treatment of GI diseases.Hui Li Tian He Qian Xu Zhe Li Yan Liu Fang Li Bo-Feng Yang Cun-Zhi Liu 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,27:41

Effects of Thinning and Litter Fall Removal on Fine Root Production and Soil Organic Carbon Content in Masson Pine Plantations显示文摘Soils play a critical role in the global carbon cycle, and can be major source or sink of CO2 depending upon land use, vegetation type and soil management practices. Fine roots are important component of a forest ecosystem in terms of water and nutrient uptake. In this study the effects of thinning and litter fall removal on fine root production and soil organic carbon content were examined in 20-year-old Masson pine (Pinus resinosa) plantations in Huitong, Hunan Province of China in the growing seasons of 2004 and 2005. The results showed that fine root production was significantly lower in the thinning plots than in the control plots, with a decrease of 58% and 14% in 2004 and 2005 growing seasons, respectively. Litter fall removal significantly increased fine root production by 14% in 2004. Soil temperature (Tsoil) and soil moisture (Msoil) were higher in the thinning plots than those in the controls. Litter fall removal had significant effiects on Tsoil and Msoil. Soil organic carbon content was higher in the thinning plots but was lower in the plots with litter fall removal compared with that in the controls. Our results also indicated that annual production of fine roots resulted in small carbon accumulation in the upper layers of the soil, and removal of tree by thinning resulted in a significant increase of carbon storage in Masson pine plantations.TIAN Da-Lun PENG Yuan-Ying YAN Wen-De FANG Xi KANG Wen-Xing WANG Guang-Jun CHEN Xiao-Yong 2010Pedosphere2010,20,4:36
Sevoflurane postconditioning reduces myocardial reperfusion injury in rat isolated hearts via activation of PI3K/Akt signaling and modulation of Bcl-2 family proteins显示文摘Sevoflurane postconditioning reduces myocardial infarct size. The objective of this study was to examine the role of the phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase(PI3K)/Akt pathway in anesthetic postconditioning and to determine whether PI3K/Akt signaling modulates the expression of pro-and antiapoptotic proteins in sevoflurane postconditioning.Isolated and perfused rat hearts were prepared first, and then randomly assigned to the following groups:Sham-operation(Sham),ischemia/reperfusion(Con),sevoflurane postconditioning(SPC),Sham plus 100 nmol/L wortmannin(Sham+Wort),Con+Wort,SPC+Wort, and Con+dimethylsulphoxide(DMSO).Sevoflurane postconditioning was induced by administration of sevoflurane(2.5%,v/v) for 10 min from the onset of reperfusion.Left ventricular developed pressure(LVDP),left ventricular end-diastolic pressure(LVEDP),maximum increase in rate of LVDP(+dP/dt),maximum decrease in rate of LVDP(?dP/dt),heart rate(HR),and coronary flow(CF) were measured at baseline,R30 min(30 min of reperfusion),R60 min,R90 min,and R120 min.Creatine kinase(CK) and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) were measured after 5 min and 10 min reperfusion.Infarct size was determined by triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining at the end of reperfusion.Total Akt and phosphorylated Akt(phospho-Akt),Bax,Bcl-2,Bad,and phospho-Bad were determined by Western blot analysis.Analysis of variance(ANOVA) and Student-Newman-Keuls' test were used to investigate the significance of differences between groups. The LVDP,±dP/dt,and CF were higher and LVEDP was lower in the SPC group than in the Con group at all points of reperfusion(P<0.05).The SPC group had significantly reduced CK and LDH release and decreased infarct size compared with the Con group [(22.9±8)% vs.(42.4±9.4)%,respectively;P<0.05].The SPC group also had increased the expression of phospho-Akt,Bcl-2,and phospho-Bad,and decreased the expression of Bax.Wortmannin abolished the cardioprotection of sevoflurane postconditioning.Sevoflurane postconditioning may protect the isolated rat heart.Activation of PI3K and modulation of the expression of pro-and antiapoptotic proteins may play an important role in sevoflurane-induced myocardial protection.Li-na YU Jing YU Feng-jiang ZHANG Mei-juan YANG Ting-ting DING Jun-kuan WANG Wei HE Tao FANG Gang CHEN Min YAN 2010Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2010,11,9:36
Base-Editing-Mediated Artificial Evolution of OsALS1 In Planta to Develop Novel Herbicide-Tolerant Rice Germplasms显示文摘Recently developed CRISPR-mediated base editors, which enable the generation of num erous nucleotide changes in target genomic regions, have been widely adopted for gene correction and generation of crop germ plasms containing im portant gain-of-function genetic variations. How ever,to engineer target genes with unknown functional SNPs remains challenging. To address this issue,we present here abase-e diting-mediated gene evolution(BEMGE)m ethod, employing both Cas9n-based cytosine and adenine base editors as well as a single-guide RNA(sgRNA)library tiling the full-length coding region, for developing novel rice germ plasm swith mutations in any endogenous gene.To this end,OsALS1 was artificially evolved in rice cells using BEMGE through both Agrobacterium-mediated and particle-bom bardment-mediated transform ation.Four different types of amino acid substitutions in the evolved OsALS1,derived from two sites that have never been targeted by natural or human selection during rice dom estication, were identified, conferring varying levels of tolerance to the herbicide bispyribac-sodium.Furtherm ore,the P171F substitution identified in a strong OsALS1 allele was quickly introduced into the commercial rice cultivar Nangeng 46 through precise base editing w ith the corresponding base editor and sgRNA.Collectively, these data indicate great potential of BEMGE in creating important genetic variants of target genes for crop improvement.Yongjie Kuang Shaofang Li Bin Ren Fang Yan Carl Spetz Xiangju Li Xueping Zhou Huanbin Zhou 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,4:37
Loess in the Tian Shan and its implications for the development of the Gurbantunggut Desert and drying of northern Xinjiang显示文摘Eolian loess is widely distributed on the various geomorphic surfaces between 700-2400 m a.s.l. on the northern slope of the Tian Shan. It is formed in a synchronous manner with dust transported from the Gurbantunggut Desert in the Junggar Basin. The thickest section of loess was found in the Shawan and Shihezi regions. Paleomagnetic and climatic proxy analyses of over 71 m of a loess-paleosol sequence on the highest terrace of the Qingshui He (River) in the Shawan show that the paleomagnetic Bruhues/Matuy-ama (B/M) boundary lies at the bottom of paleosol S8, at a depth of 69.5 m, and the bottom of the sequence was estimated to be -0.8 Ma. This implies that the extremely dry climatic conditions in the Junggar Basin and the initial Gurbantunggut Desert were present at least by 0.8 Ma. High-resolution grain size series demonstrate that this area and desert expansion experienced two dramatic periods of desert expansions that occurred at -0.65 Ma and 0.5 Ma, respectively; and the subsequent continuousFANG Xiaomin SHI Zhentao YANG Shengli YAN Maodu LI Jijun JIANG Ping’an 2002Chinese Science Bulletin2002,47,16:33
Hydrophobicity mechanism of non-smooth pattern on surface of butterfly wing显示文摘Twenty-nine species (24 genera, 6 families) of butterflies typical and common in northeast China were selected to make qualitative and quantitative studies on the pattern, hydrophobicity and hydrophobicity mechanism by means of scanning electron microscopy and contact angle measuring system. The scale surface is composed of submicro-class vertical gibbosities and horizontal links. The distance of scale is 48—91 μm, length 65—150 μm, and width 35—70 μm. The distance of submicro-class vertical gib-bosities on scale is 1.06—2.74 μm, height 200—900 nm, and width 200—840 nm. The better hydropho-bicity on the surface of butterfly wing (static contact angle 136.3°—156.6°) is contributed to the co-effects of micro-class scale and submicro-class vertical gibbosities on the wing surface. The Cassie equation was revised, and new mathematical models and equations were established.FANG Yan SUN Gang WANG TongQing CONG Qian REN LuQuan 2007Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,5:31
Anti-SARS-CoV-2 activities in vitro of Shuanghuanglian preparations and bioactive ingredients显示文摘Human infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)causes coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and there is no cure currently. The 3CL protease(3CLpro)is a highly conserved protease which is indispensable for CoVs replication, and is a promising target for development of broad-spectrum antiviral drugs. In this study we investigated the anti-SARS-CoV-2 potential of Shuanghuanglian preparation,a Chinese traditional patent medicine with a long history for treating respiratory tract infection in China. We showed that either the oral liquid of Shuanghuanglian, the lyophilized powder of Shuanghuanglian for injection or their bioactive components dose-dependently inhibited SARS-CoV-23CLpro as well as the replication of SARS-CoV-2 in Vero E6 cells.Baicalin and baicalein, two ingredients of Shuanghuanglian, were characterized as the first noncovalent, nonpeptidomimetic inhibitors of SARS-CoV-23CLpro and exhibited potent antiviral activities in a cell-based system.Remarkably, the binding mode of baicalein with SARS-CoV-23CLpro determined by X-ray protein crystallography was distinctly different from those of known 3CLpro inhibitors.Baicalein was productively ensconced in the core of the substrate-binding pocket by interacting with two catalytic residues, the crucial S1/S2 subsites and the oxyanion loop, acting as a“shield”in front of the catalytic dyad to effectively prevent substrate access to the catalytic dyad within the active site.Overall, this study provides an example for exploring the in vitro potency of Chinese traditional patent medicines and effectively identifying bioactive ingredients toward a specific target, and gains evidence supporting the in vivo studies of Shuanghuanglian oral liquid as well as two natural products for COVID-19 treatment.Hai-xia Su Sheng Yao Wen-feng Zhao Min-jun Li Jia Liu Wei-juan Shang Hang Xie Chang-qiang Ke Hang-chen Hu Mei-na Gao Kun-qian Yu Hong Liu Jing-shan Shen Wei Tang Lei-ke Zhang Geng-fu Xiao Li Ni Dao-wen Wang Jian-ping Zuo Hua-liang Jiang Fang Bai Yan Wu Yang Ye Ye-chun Xu 2020Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,9:32
Study of BESIII trigger efficiencies with the 2018 J/ψ data显示文摘Using a dedicated data sample taken in 2018 on the J/ψpeak,we perform a detailed study of the trigger efficiencies of the BESIII detector.The efficiencies are determined from three representative physics processes,namely Bhabha scattering,dimuon production and generic hadronic events with charged particles.The combined efficiency of all active triggers approaches 100%in most cases,with uncertainties small enough not to affect most physics analyses.M.Ablikim M.N.Achasov P.Adlarson S.Ahmed M.Albrecht R.Aliberti A.Amoroso M.R.An Q.An X.H.Bai Y.Bai O.Bakina R.Baldini Ferroli I.Balossino Y.Ban K.Begzsuren N.Berger M.Bertani D.Bettoni F.Bianchi J.Bloms A.Bortone I.Boyko R.A.Briere H.Cai X.Cai A.Calcaterra G.F.Cao N.Cao S.A.Cetin J.F.Chang W.L.Chang G.Chelkov D.Y.Chen G.Chen H.S.Chen M.L.Chen S.J.Chen X.R.Chen Y.B.Chen Z.J Chen W.S.Cheng G.Cibinetto F.Cossio X.F.Cui H.L.Dai X.C.Dai A.Dbeyssi R.E.de Boer D.Dedovich Z.Y.Deng A.Denig I.Denysenko M.Destefanis F.De Mori Y.Ding C.Dong J.Dong L.Y.Dong M.Y.Dong X.Dong S.X.Du Y.L.Fan J.Fang S.S.Fang Y.Fang R.Farinelli L.Fava F.Feldbauer G.Felici C.Q.Feng J.H.Feng M.Fritsch C.D.Fu Y.Gao Y.Gao Y.Gao Y.G.Gao I.Garzia P.T.Ge C.Geng E.M.Gersabeck A Gilman K.Goetzen L.Gong W.X.Gong W.Gradl M.Greco L.M.Gu M.H.Gu S.Gu Y.T.Gu C.Y Guan A.Q.Guo L.B.Guo R.P.Guo Y.P.Guo A.Guskov T.T.Han W.Y.Han X.Q.Hao F.A.Harris H Hüsken K.L.He F.H.Heinsius C.H.Heinz T.Held Y.K.Heng C.Herold M.Himmelreich T.Holtmann Y.R.Hou Z.L.Hou H.M.Hu J.F.Hu T.Hu Y.Hu G.S.Huang L.Q.Huang X.T.Huang Y.P.Huang Z.Huang T.Hussain W.Ikegami Andersson W.Imoehl M.Irshad S.Jaeger S.Janchiv Q.Ji Q.P.Ji X.B.Ji X.L.Ji H.B.Jiang X.S.Jiang J.B.Jiao Z.Jiao S.Jin Y.Jin T.Johansson N.Kalantar-Nayestanaki X.S.Kang R.Kappert M.Kavatsyuk B.C.Ke I.K.Keshk A.Khoukaz P.Kiese R.Kiuchi R.Kliemt L.Koch O.B.Kolcu B.Kopf M.Kuemmel M.Kuessner A.Kupsc M.G.Kurth W.Kühn J.J.Lane J.S.Lange P.Larin A.Lavania L.Lavezzi Z.H.Lei H.Leithoff M.Lellmann T.Lenz C.Li C.H.Li Cheng Li D.M.Li F.Li G.Li H.Li H.Li H.B.Li H.J.Li J.L.Li J.Q.Li J.S.Li Ke Li L.K.Li Lei Li P.R.Li S.Y.Li W.D.Li W.G.Li X.H.Li X.L.Li Z.Y.Li H.Liang H.Liang H.Liang Y.F.Liang Y.T.Liang L.Z.Liao J.Libby C.X.Lin B.J.Liu C.X.Liu D.Liu F.H.Liu Fang Liu Feng Liu H.B.Liu H.M.Liu Huanhuan Liu Huihui Liu J.B.Liu J.L.Liu J.Y.Liu K.Liu K.Y.Liu Ke Liu L.Liu M.H.Liu P.L.Liu Q.Liu Q.Liu S.B.Liu Shuai Liu T.Liu W.M.Liu X.Liu Y.Liu Y.B.Liu Z.A.Liu Z.Q.Liu X.C.Lou F.X.Lu H.J.Lu J.D.Lu J.G.Lu X.L.Lu Y.Lu Y.P.Lu C.L.Luo M.X.Luo b P.W.Luo T.Luo X.L.Luo S.Lusso X.R.Lyu F.C.Ma H.L.Ma L.L.Ma M.M.Ma Q.M.Ma R.Q.Ma R.T.Ma X.X.Ma X.Y.Ma F.E.Maas M.Maggiora S.Maldaner S.Malde Q.A.Malik A.Mangoni Y.J.Mao Z.P.Mao S.Marcello Z.X.Meng J.G.Messchendorp G.Mezzadri T.J.Min R.E.Mitchell X.H.Mo Y.J.Mo N.Yu.Muchnoi H.Muramatsu S.Nakhoul Y.Nefedov F.Nerling I.B.Nikolaev Z.Ning S.Nisar S.L.Olsen Q.Ouyang S.Pacetti X.Pan Y.Pan A.Pathak P.Patteri M.Pelizaeus H.P.Peng K.Peters J.Pettersson J.L.Ping R.G.Ping R.Poling V.Prasad H.Qi H.R.Qi K.H.Qi M.Qi T.Y.Qi T.Y.Qi S.Qian W.-B.Qian Z.Qian C.F.Qiao L.Q.Qin X.S.Qin Z.H.Qin J.F.Qiu S.Q.Qu K.H.Rashid K.Ravindran C.F.Redmer A.Rivetti V.Rodin M.Rolo G.Rong Ch.Rosner M.Rump H.S.Sang A.Sarantsev Y.Schelhaas C.Schnier K.Schoenning M.Scodeggio D.C.Shan W.Shan X.Y.Shan J.F.Shangguan M.Shao C.P.Shen P.X.Shen X.Y.Shen H.C.Shi R.S.Shi X.Shi X.D Shi W.M.Song Y.X.Song S.Sosio S.Spataro K.X.Su P.P.Su F.F.Sui G.X.Sun H.K.Sun J.F.Sun L.Sun S.S.Sun T.Sun W.Y.Sun X Sun Y.J.Sun Y.K.Sun Y.Z.Sun Z.T.Sun Y.H.Tan Y.X.Tan C.J.Tang G.Y.Tang J.Tang J.X.Teng V.Thoren I.Uman B.Wang C.W.Wang D.Y.Wang H.J.Wang H.P.Wang K.Wang L.L.Wang M.Wang M.Z.Wang Meng Wang W.Wang W.H.Wang W.P.Wang X.Wang X.F.Wang X.L.Wang Y.Wang Y.D.Wang Y.F.Wang Y.Q.Wang Y.Y.Wang Z.Wang Z.Y.Wang Ziyi Wang Zongyuan Wang D.H.Wei P.Weidenkaff F.Weidner S.P.Wen D.J.White U.Wiedner G.Wilkinson M.Wolke L.Wollenberg J.F.Wu L.H.Wu L.J.Wu X.Wu Z.Wu L.Xia H.Xiao S.Y.Xiao Z.J.Xiao X.H.Xie Y.G.Xie Y.H.Xie T.Y.Xing G.F.Xu Q.J.Xu W.Xu X.P.Xu F.Yan L.Yan W.B.Yan W.C.Yan Xu Yan H.J.Yang H.X.Yang L.Yang S.L.Yang Y.X.Yang Yifan Yang Zhi Yang M.Ye M.H.Ye J.H.Yin Z.Y.You B.X.Yu C.X.Yu G.Yu J.S.Yu T.Yu C.Z.Yuan L.Yuan X.Q.Yuan Y.Yuan Z.Y.Yuan C.X.Yue A.Yuncu A.A.Zafar Y.Zeng B.X.Zhang Guangyi Zhang H.Zhang H.H.Zhang H.Y.Zhang J.J.Zhang J.L.Zhang J.Q.Zhang J.W.Zhang J.Y.Zhang J.Z.Zhang Jianyu Zhang Jiawei Zhang L.Q.Zhang Lei Zhang S.Zhang S.F.Zhang Shulei Zhang X.D.Zhang X.Y.Zhang Y.Zhang Y.H.Zhang Y.T.Zhang Yan Zhang Yao Zhang Yi Zhang Z.H.Zhang Z.Y.Zhang G.Zhao J.Zhao J.Y.Zhao J.Z.Zhao Lei Zhao Ling Zhao M.G.Zhao Q.Zhao S.J.Zhao Y.B.Zhao Y.X.Zhao Z.G.Zhao A.Zhemchugov B.Zheng J.P.Zheng Y.Zheng Y.H.Zheng B.Zhong C.Zhong L.P.Zhou Q.Zhou X.Zhou X.K.Zhou X.R.Zhou A.N.Zhu J.Zhu K.Zhu K.J.Zhu S.H.Zhu T.J.Zhu W.J.Zhu W.J.Zhu Y.C.Zhu Z.A.Zhu B.S.Zou J.H.Zou 2021Chinese Physics C2021,45,2:33

Waist Circumference Reference Values for Screening Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Chinese Children and Adolescents显示文摘Objectives To explore the optimal threshold values of waist circumference(WC)for detecting cardiovascular(CV)risk factors among Chinese children and adolescents. Methods Association of WC with CV risk factors was studied among 65 898 children aged 7-18 years whose data were pooled from nine previous studies in China.CV risk factors in this study included hypertension(blood pressure above 95 percentile levels),dyslipidemia(with one or more of the following three indexes:TG≥1.7 mmol/L,TC≥5.18 mmol/L,and HDL-C≤1.04 mmol/L)and elevated glucose level(fasting plasma glucose ≥5.6 mmol/L).Receive-operating characteristic analysis(ROC)and logistic regression were employed to derive optimal age-and sex-specific waist circumference references for predicting CV risk factors. Results A slight increasing trend of CV risk factors was observed starting from the 75th percentile of waist circumference in the study population, while a remarkable increasing trend occurred from the 90th percentile. The optimal waist circumference thresholds for predicting high blood pressures were at the 75th percentile for both boys and girls, which was at the 90th percentiles for detecting at least two of the above three CV risk factors. In comparison with children with waist circumference below the 75th percentile, the odds ratio of two CV risk factors doubled among children with waist circumference between the 75th and the 90th percentile, and increased by 6 times among children with waist circumference above the 90th percentile. The trend of high blood pressure increasing with waist circumference remained significant after having been stratified by BMI category. Conclusion The 75th and the 90th percentiles of WC are the optimal cut-off points for predicting an increased and a substantially increased risk of CV factors in Chinese children and adolescents,respectively.GUAN-SHENG MA CHENG-YE JI JUN MA JIE MI R1TA YT SLING FENG XIONG WEI-LI YAN XIAO-QI HU YAN-PING LI SONG-M1NG DU HONG-YUN FANG AND J1NG-XIONG JIANG 2010Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2010,23,1:25
