1Research on crystal growth and properties of a new nonlinear optical crystal:Bismuth borate BiB_3O_6显示文摘BiB3O6 (BIBO) single crystals with sizes of 44 mm × 24 mm × 10 mm and weight of 24.7 g have been successfully grown by the top-seeded method. In this note, the preparation of seed, the growth of crystal and some problems encountered are reported. The lattice parameters of BIBO are a =7.1203(7)A, b = 4.9948(7)A, c = 6.5077(7)A, β= 105.586(8) ', V=222.93(5)A3, which were determined by BRUKER-P4 four-circle diffractometer. BIBO is biaxial crystal and the relative orientation of (X, Y, Z) with regard to (a, b, c) is: X|| b, (Y, c) =47.2°, (Z, a) = 31.6°, determined by the X-ray analysis combined with polarized microscopy. The second-harmonic-generation (SHG) conversion efficiency of the sample for 1.064 μm light is up to 67.7%. We have also obtained the third harmonic generation (THG) of 1.064 μm, namely, 1.064 μm + 0.532 μn →0.355 μm. 3Sulfur resource recovery based on electrolytic manganese residue calcination and manganese oxide ore desulfurization for the clean production of electrolytic manganese显示文摘An environmentally friendly and resource-conserving route to the clean production of electrolytic manganese was developed,in which the electrolytic manganese residue(EMR)was initially calcined for cement buffering;then the generated SO2-containing flue gas was managed using manganese oxide ore and anolyte(MOOA)desulfurization;at last,the desulfurized slurry was introduced to the electrolytic manganese production(EMP).Results showed that 4.0 wt%coke addition reduced the sulfur of calcined EMR to 0.9%,thereby satisfying the cement-buffer requirement.Pilot-scale desulfurization showed that about 7.5 vol%of high SO2 containing flue gas can be cleaned to less than 0.1 vol%through a five-stage countercurrent MOOA desulfurization.The desulfurized slurry had 42.44 g·L-Mn2+and 1.92 g·L-1 S2 O62-,which was suitable for electrowinning after purification,and the purity of manganese product was 99.93%,satisfy the National Standard of China YB/T051-2015.This new integrated technology fulfilled 99.7%of sulfur reutilization from the EMR and 94.1%was effectively used to the EMP.The MOOA desulfurization linked the EMP a closed cycle without any pollutant discharge,which promoted the cleaner production of EMP industry.Dong Sun Lin Yang Ning Liu Wenju Jiang Xia Jiang Jianjun Li Zhengyou Yang Zhengping Song 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,3:7
4Inflammation-induced CD69^+ Kupffer cell feedback inhibits T cell proliferation via membrane-bound TGF-β1显示文摘Kupffer cells,tissue-resident macrophage lineage cell,are enriched in vertebrate liver.The mouse F4/80^+ Kupffer cells have been subclassified into two subpopulations according to their phenotype and function:CD68^+ subpopulation with potent reactive oxygen species(ROS) production and phagocytic capacities,and CD11b^+ subpopulation with a potent capacity to produce T helper 1 cytokines.In addition,CD11b^+ Kupffer cells/macrophages may be migrated from the bone marrow or spleen,especially in inflammatory conditions of the liver.For analyzing diverse Kupffer cell subsets,we infected mice with Listeria monocytogenes and analyzed the phenotype variations of hepatic Kupffer cells.During L.monocytogenes infection,hepatic CD69^+ Kupffer cells were significantly induced and expanded,and CD69^+ Kupffer cells expressed higher level of CD11 b,and particularly high level of membrane-bound TGF-β1(mTGF-β1) but lower level of F4/80.We also found that clodronate liposome administration did not eliminate hepatic CD69^+ Kupffer cell subset.We consider the hepatic CD69^+ Kupffer cell population corresponds to CD11b^+Kupffer cells,the bone marrow-derived population.Hepatic CD69^+ Kupffer cells suppressed Ag-nonspecific and OVA-specific CD4 T cell proliferation through mTGF-β1 both in vitro and in vivo,meanwhile,they did not interfere with activation of CD4 T cells.Thus,we have identified a new subset of inflammation-induced CD69^+ Kupffer cells which can feedback inhibit CD4 T cell response via cell surface TGF-β1 at the late stage of immune response against infection.CD69^+ Kupffer cells may contribute to protect host from pathological injure by preventing overactivation of immune response.Xiang Zhang Zhengping Jiang Yan Gu Yanfang Liu Xuetao Cao Yanmei Han 2016Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,12:5

7N-doped honeycomb-like porous carbon towards high-performance supercapacitor显示文摘Biomass-derived porous carbon with developed pore structure is critical to achieving high performance electrode materials.In this work,we report a grape-based honeycomb-like porous carbon(GHPC)prepared by KOH activation and carbonization,followed by N-doping(NGHPC).The obtained NGHPC exhibits a unique honeycomb-like structure with hierarchically interconnected micro/mesopores,and high specific surface area of 1268 m^2/g.As a supercapacitor electrode,the NGPHC electrode exhibits a remarkable specific capacitance of 275 F/g at 0.5 A/g in a three-electrode cell.Moreover,the NGHPC//NGHPC symmetric supercapacitor displays a high energy density of 12.6 Wh/kg,and excellent cycling stability of approximately 95.2% capacitance retention after 5000 cycles at 5 A/g.The excellent electrochemical performance of NGHPC is ascribed to its high specific surface area,honeycomb-like structure and high-content of pyrodinic-N(36.29%).It is believed that grape-based carbon materials show great potential as advanced electrode materials for supercapacitors.Feng Wang Lian Chen Huiling Li Gaigai Duan Shuijian He Lin Zhang Guoying Zhang Zhengping Zhou Shaohua Jiang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,7:2
8Electrical properties of yttrium calcium oxyborate crystal annealed at high temperature and low oxygen partial pressure显示文摘The yttrium calcium oxyborate crystal(YCa_(4)O(BO_(3))_(3),YCOB)has been actively studied for hightemperature piezoelectric sensing applications.In this work,the stability of electric properties of YCOB crystal annealed in critical conditions(high-temperatures of 900-1100℃ with a low oxygen partial pressure of 4×10^(-6) atm for 24 h)was investigated and the recovery mechanism for the electrical resisitivity,dielectric permittivity and dielectric loss were studied,taking advantage of the X-ray photoelectron spectra and the first principle calculations.The electrical resistivity of the annealed YCOB crystal was slightly decreased when compared to the pristine counterpart,being(2-5)×10^(7) Ω·cm at 850C.The dielectric permittivity and dielectric loss were found to increase after annealing,showing recoverable behaviours after thermal treatment above 650℃ in air.The calculated vacancy formation energy indicates that the oxygen vacancy is the dominant defects in YCOB.The formation of oxygen vacancy weakens the chemical bonding strength between B(Ca or Y)and O atoms,introduces extra donor levels in the band gap,which excites the electrons to conduction band more easily thus enhances the electrical conductivity and dielectric loss.The recovered electrical properties are believed to be associated with the reduced vacancy defects at elevated temperatures in air.Shiwei Tian Lili Li Feifei Chen Chao Jiang Fapeng Yu Yanlu Li Xiulan Duan Zhengping Wang Shujun Zhang Xian Zhao 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,3:2

10Mitochondrial-targeted and ROS-responsive nanocarrier via nose-to-brain pathway for ischemic stroke treatment显示文摘Oxidative stress injury and mitochondrial dysfunction are major obstacles to neurological functional recovery after ischemic stroke.The development of new approaches to simultaneously diminish oxidative stress and resist mitochondrial dysfunction is urgently needed.Inspired by the overproduced reactive oxygen species(ROS)at ischemic neuron mitochondria,multifunctional nanoparticles with ROS-responsiveness and mitochondrial-targeted(SPNPs)were engineered,achieving specific targeting delivery and controllable drug release at ischemic penumbra.Due to the nose-to-brain pathway.SPNPs which were encapsulated in a thermo-sensitive gel by intranasal administration were directly delivered to the ischemic penumbra bypassing the blood-brain barrier(BBB)and enhancing delivery efficiency.The potential of SPNPs for ischemic stroke treatment was systematically evaluated in vitro and in rat models of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO).Results demonstrated the mitochondrialtargeted and protective effects of SPNPs on H2O2-induced oxidative damage in SH-SY5Y cells.In vivo distribution analyzed by fuorescence imaging proved the rapid and enhanced active targeting of SPNPs to the ischemic area in MCAO rats.SPNPs by intranasal administration exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy by alleviating oxidative stress,diminishing infammation,repairing mitochondrial function,and decreasing apoptosis.This strategy provided a multifunctional delivery system for the effective treatment of ischemic injury,which also implies a potential application prospect for other central nervous diseases.Yan Zhang Haiyun Zhang Faquan Zhao Zhengping Jiang Yuanlu Cui Meitong Ou Lin Mei Qiangsong Wang 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,12:1

14Disruption of the autism-related gene Pak1 causes stereocilia disorganization,hair cell loss,and deafness in mice显示文摘Several clinical studies have reported that hearing loss is correlated with autism in children.However,little is known about the underlying mechanism between hearing loss and autism.p21-activated kinases(PAKs)are a family of serine/threonine kinases that can be activated by multiple signaling molecules,particularly the Rho family of small GTPases.Previous studies have shown that Pak1 mutations are associated with autism.In the present study,we take advantage of Pak1 knockout(Pak1a/a)mice to investigate the role of PAK1 in hearing function.We find that PAK1 is highly expressed in the postnatal mouse cochlea and that PAK1 deficiency leads to hair cell(HC)apoptosis and severe hearing loss.Further investigation indicates that PAK1 deficiency downregulates the phosphorylation of cofilin and ezrin-radixin-moesin and the expression of b II-spectrin,which further decreases the HC synapse density in the basal turn of cochlea and disorganized the HC stereocilia in all three turns of cochlea in Pak1à/àmice.Overall,our work demonstrates that the autism-related gene Pak1 plays a crucial role in hearing function.As the first candidate gene linking autism and hearing loss,Pak1 may serve as a potential target for the clinical diagnosis of autism-related hearing loss.Cheng Cheng Yilin Hou Zhonghong Zhang Yanfei Wang Ling Lu Liyan Zhang Pei Jiang Song Gao Qiaojun Fang Chengwen Zhu Junyan Gao Xufeng Liu Wei Xie Zhengping Jia Zhigang Xu Xia Gao Renjie Chai 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,4:0

16Broadband 1T-polytype tantalum disulfide saturable absorber for solid-state bulk lasers显示文摘1T-polytype tantalum disulfide(1T-TaS_(2)),an emerging strongly correlated material,features a narrow bandgap of 0.2 e V,bridging the gap between zero-bandgap graphene and large-bandgap 2D nonlinear optical(NLO)materials.Combined with its intense light absorption,high carrier concentration,and high mobility,1T-TaS_(2) shows considerable potential for applications in broadband optoelectronic devices.However,its NLO characteristics and related applications have rarely been explored.Here,1T-TaS_(2) nanosheets are prepared by chemical vapor deposition.The ultrafast carrier dynamics in the 400–1100 nm range and broadband NLO performance in the 515–2500 nm range are systematically studied using femtosecond lasers.An obvious saturable absorption phenomenon is observed in the visible to IR range.The nonlinear absorption coefficient is measured to be-22.60±0.52 cm MW-1under 1030 nm,which is larger than that of other typical 2D saturable absorber(SA)materials(graphene,black phosphorus,and MoS_(2))under similar experimental conditions.Based on these findings,using 1T-TaS_(2) as a new SA,passively Q-switched laser operations are successfully performed at 1.06,1.34,and 1.94μm.The results highlight the promise of 1T-TaS_(2) for broadband optical modulators and provide a potential candidate material system for mid-IR nonlinear optical applications.MENGXIA WANG HAILONG QIU TIANWEN YANG ZHENGPING WANG CHUANRUI ZHAO YUANAN ZHAO TING YU YUYAO JIANG MEILING CHEN YAFEI LIAN GE ZHANG HONGJUN LIU ZHANGGUI HU JIANDA SHAO 2022Photonics Research2022,10,9:0
17High temperature H_(2)S selective oxidation on a copper-substituted hexaaluminate catalyst: A facile process for treating low concentration acid gas显示文摘H_(2)S selective catalytic oxidation technology is a prospective way for the treatment of low concentration acid gas with simple process operation and low investment. However, undesirable results such as large formation of SO_(2) and catalyst deactivation inevitably occur, due to the temperature rise of fixed reaction bed caused by the exothermic reaction. Catalyst with high activity in wide operating temperature window, especially in high temperature range, is urgently needed. In this paper, a series of copper-substituted hexaaluminate catalysts (LaCu_(x), x = 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5) were prepared and investigated for the H_(2)S selective oxidation reaction at high temperature conditions (300-550℃). The LaCu_(1) catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic performance and great stability, which was attributed to the best reductive properties and proper pore structure. 20Preclinical pharmacology study of neutral myocardial imaging agent ^(99m)TcN(NOEt)_2显示文摘To explore the biological properties of a new neutral myocardial imaging agent 99mTcN(NOEt)2,preparation and characterization of 99mTeN(NOEt)2, kinetics of blood-drug clearance in rabbits, biodistribution in rats, test of undue toxicity in mice and myocardial imaging in dogs were performed and volunteer imaging. Radiochemical purity of 99mTeN(NOEt)2 was over than 90% and stable for 6 hours at room temperature. Blood disappearance was analyzed with biexponential model, T1/2(α)=2.53 min, T1/2 (β)=330 min and Cl=378 mL/h were obtained. Biodistribution studies demonstrated that 99mTcN(NOEt)2 localized selectively in myocardium of rats. Cardiac uptake were 2.79, 2.25, 2.00 and 1.88%ID/organ at 5, 30, 60 and 90min of postinjection, respectively. The heart-to-lung activity ratio was 1.16 at 60 min. Images showed that pulmonary uptake decreased faster than cardiac uptake in a dog. The mean heart-to-lung activity ratios in a dog were 1.69, 2.40 and 2.55 at 10, 30 and 60min of postinjection, respectively. The heart was distinguishable on scans at 30min. Whole body imaging showed that cardiac uptake was 2.82%ID at 90min, but hepatic uptake was 30%ID and remained constant. The test of undue toxicity showed that the dose received by mice was 614 times as by human. Volunteer imaging suggests 99mTcN(NOEt)2 redistribution with time. 99mTcN(NOEt)2 exhibited favorable stabilities, biological properties and safety.
