| 1 | Paleogene Tectonic Evolution Controls on Sequence Stratigraphic Patterns in the Central Part of Deepwater Area of Qiongdongnan Basin, Northern South China Sea显示文摘In active rift basins, tectonism is extremely important for sequence stratigraphic patterns, affecting both the sequence architecture and internal makeup. Sequence stratigraphic framework of a Paleogene rift succession in Qiongdongnan Basin, northern South China Sea, was built using seismic profiles, complemented by well logs and cores. One first-order and three second-order sequences were identified on the basis of basin-scale unconformities, and seven third-order sequences are defined by unconformities along the basin margins and correlative conformities within the central basin. Through unconformity analysis and backstripping procedure, the Paleogene synrift tectonic evolution of deepwater area of Qiongdongnan Basin was proved to be episodic, which can be divided into rifting stage-I, rifting stage-II and rifting stage-III. Episodic rifting resulted in the formation of various types of structural slope break belts, which controlled different architectures and internal makeup of sequences. | 2 | Modeling the global ionospheric total electron content with empirical orthogonal function analysis显示文摘In the present work we model the global ionospheric total electron content (TEC) with the analysis of empirical orthogonal functions (EOF). The obtained statistical eigen modes, which makeup the modeled TEC, consist of two factors: the eigen vectors mapping TEC patterns at latitude and longitude (or local time LT), and the corresponding coefficients displaying the TEC variations in different time scales, i.e., the solar cycle, the yearly (annual and semiannual) and the diurnal universal time variations. It is found that the EOF analysis can separate the TEC variations into chief processes and the first two modes illustrate the most of the ionospheric climate properties. The first mode contains both the semiannual component which shows the semiannual ionospheric anomaly and the annual component which shows the annual or non-seasonal ionospheric anomaly. The second mode contains mainly the annual component and shows the normal seasonal ionospheric variation at most latitudes and local time sectors. The annual component in the second mode also manifests seasonal anomaly of the ionosphere at higher mid-latitudes around noontime. | 4 | Emission factors of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from domestic coal combustion in China显示文摘Domestic coal stove is widely used in China, especially for countryside during heating period of winter, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) are important in flue gas of the stove. By using dilution tunnel system, samples of both gaseous and particulate phases from domestic coal combustion were collected and 18 PAH species were analyzed by GC-MS. The average emission factors of total 18 PAH species was 171.73 mg/kg, ranging from 140.75 to 229.11 mg/kg for bituminous coals, while was 93.98 mg/kg, ranging from 58.48 to 129.47 mg/kg for anthracite coals. PAHs in gaseous phases occupied 95% of the total of PAHs emission of coal combustion. In particulate phase, 3-ring and 4-ring PAHs were the main components, accounting for 80% of the total particulate PAHs. The total toxicity potency evaluated by benzo[a]pyrene-equivalent carcinogenic power, sum of 7 carcinogenic PAH components and 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzodioxin had a similar tendency. And as a result, the toxic potential of bituminous coal was higher than that of anthracite coal. | 5 | A theoretical model for mid-and low-latitude ionospheric electric fields in realistic geomagnetic fields显示文摘The geomagnetic fields,which play important roles in the ionospheric dynamo,can greatly affect the global distribution of ionospheric electric fields,currents and other ionospheric electrodynamics phenomena.In the study of ionospheric electrodynamics phenomena,such as the longitudinal variations of ionospheric electric fields,the non-dipolar component of the geomagnetic fields must be taken into account.In this paper,we deduce a theoretical electric field model for ionospheric dynamo at mid-and low-latitude which adopt a modified magnetic apex coordinates system.In the new electric field model,the geomagnetic fields can be calculated from either the IGRF model or the dipole field model,and the neutral winds and conductivities are calculated based on empirical models.Then the dynamo equation for the electric potential is finally solved in terms of the line-by-line iteration method,and the ionospheric electric fields and currents are derived from the calculated potential.Our model can reproduce the main features of the ionospheric electrodynamics processes,so it will be a useful tool for the investigation of the upper atmosphere and ionosphere. | REN ZhiPeng WAN WeiXing WEI Yong LIU LiBo YU Tao | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,24: | 7 |

| 7 | Mandible exosomal ssc-mir-133b regulates tooth development in miniature swine via endogenous apoptosis显示文摘Signal transduction between different organs is crucial in the normal development of the human body. As an important medium for signal communication, exosomes can transfer important information, such as microRNAs(miRNAs), from donors to receptors.MiRNAs are known to fine-tune a variety of biological processes, including maxillofacial development; however, the underlying mechanism remains largely unknown. In the present study, transient apoptosis was found to be due to the expression of a miniature swine maxillofacial-specific miRNA, ssc-mir-133b. Upregulation of ssc-mir-133b resulted in robust apoptosis in primary dental mesenchymal cells in the maxillofacial region. Cell leukemia myeloid 1(Mcl-1) was verified as the functional target, which triggered further downstream activation of endogenous mitochondria-related apoptotic processes during tooth development.More importantly, mandible exosomes were responsible for the initial apoptosis signal. An animal study demonstrated that ectopic expression of ssc-mir-133 b resulted in failed tooth formation after 12 weeks of subcutaneous transplantation in nude mice. | 8 | Correlation between ionospheric longitudinal harmonic components and upper atmospheric tides显示文摘There is strong correlation among the ionospheric longitudinal structures of wavenumber-3(WN3),wavenumber-4(WN4),and eastward-propagating diurnal tides with zonal wave numbers s = 2 and 3(DE2 and DE3) in the upper atmosphere.The total electron content derived from the Global Ionospheric Maps of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory is used to deduce the latitudinally total electron content(ITEC) in the low-latitude ionosphere,and TIDE/TIMED observations are employed to obtain zonal and meridian winds of the mesopause and lower thermosphere.Through Fourier transformation,various ionospheric longitudinal harmonic components and tidal patterns are derived from the ionospheric and upper-atmospheric observations,and we compare the annual/inter-annual variations in ionospheric harmonic components WN3 and WN4 with those in atmospheric tides(DE2 and DE3).It is found that the annual and inter-annual variations in WN3 and WN4 are consistent with those in DE2 and DE3 zonal wind components respectively,while they are inconsistent with those in the meridian components.We then decompose the harmonic components into 'tidal patterns',finding that the 'DE2' and 'DE3' patterns are the main parts of WN3 and WN4 respectively.Their annual and inter-annual variations are similar to those of atmospheric tidal patterns(DE2 and DE3).Complex correlation results show that correlation between the ionospheric 'DE2' in WN3 and the atmospheric tidal DE2 zonal wind component is quite strong in the Northern Hemisphere,while that between the ionospheric 'DE3' in WN4 and the atmospheric tidal DE3 zonal wind component is much stronger at low latitudes.At the same time,the contribution of the meridian wind component is very weak.Above all,the atmospheric tidal DE2 and DE3 patterns are important factors of the ionospheric WN3 and WN4 structures. | MU WenFeng WAN WeiXing REN ZhiPeng XIONG JianGang | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,35: | 5 |
| 9 | Geochemistry, Paleoenvironment and Mechanism of Organic-Matter Enrichment in the Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation Shale in the Sichuan Basin, China显示文摘To investigate the mechanism of the organic-matter enrichment in the Lower Longmaxi Formation shale,the geochemistry and total organic carbon(TOC)of the Longmaxi Formation black shales in the Jiaoshiba,Zhaotong,and Weiyuan areas of the Sichuan Basin were analyzed.Paleoproductivity proxy parameters(Babio,Siex,and Ni/Al),clastic influx proxies(TiO2 and Ti/Al),redox indices(V/Cr,Ni/Co,V/(V+Ni),and U/Th),and hydrothermal indicators(Fe,Mn,and Y concentrations;Fe/Ti ratio and a Ni-Zn-Co diagram)were employed to decipher the paleoenvironment of the Lower Longmaxi Formation shales.TiO2 and Ti/Al indicated low terrigenous detrital influx in all three areas.However,Babio,Siex,and Ni/Al indicated high productivity in the Jiaoshiba area.V/Cr,Ni/Co,and U/Th indicated higher oxygen content with larger fluctuations in the Zhaotong and Weiyuan areas.Fe,Mn,and Y concentrations and the Fe/Ti ratio implied greater active hydrothermal activity in the Weiyuan area.These heterogeneities were considered to be closely related to the paleoenvironment and paleogeography,and the large basement faults that developed during the Chuanzhong paleo-uplift could have provided vents for deep-hydrothermal-fluid upwelling.The redox indices(V/Cr,Ni/Co,and U/Th)and a paleoproductivity proxy(Ni/Al)displayed a significant correlation with the TOC,suggesting that both excellent preservation conditions and high paleoproductivity were the controlling factors for the enrichment of organic matter in the Longmaxi Formation shale.There was no obvious correlation between the clastic influx proxy(Ti/Al)and the TOC due to the extremely low supply of terrigenous debris.The hydrothermal indicator(Fe/Ti)was negatively correlated with the TOC in the Weiyuan area,indicating that hydrothermal activity may have played a negative role in the accumulation of organic matter.This study suggests that the enrichment of organic matter in the Longmaxi Formation marine shale varied according to the paleogeography and sedimentary environment. | CHEN Zhipeng CUI Junping REN Zhanli JIANG Shu LIANG Xing WANG Gaocheng ZOU Chen | 2019 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3: | 3 |
| 10 | Sequence Stratigraphy and Sedimentary Facies of Lower Oligocene Yacheng Formation in Deepwater Area of Qiongdongnan Basin,Northern South China Sea:Implications for Coal-Bearing Source Rocks显示文摘For unveiling coal-bearing source rocks in terrestrial-marine transitional sequences, the sequence stratigraphic framework and sedimentary facies of Lower Oligocene Yacheng Formation of Qiongdongnan Basin were investigated using seismic profiles, complemented by well bores and cores. Three third-order sequences are identified on the basis of unconformities on basin margins and correlative conformities in the basin center, namely SQYC3, SQYC2 and SQYC1 from bottom to top. Coal measure in Yacheng Formation of Qiongdongnan Basin were deposited within a range of facies associations from delta plain/tidal zone to neritic sea, and three types of favourable sedimentary facies associations for coal measure were established within the sequence stratigraphic framework, including braided delta plain and alluvial fan, lagoon and tidal flat, and fan delta and coastal plain facies associations. Results shown that, in the third-order sequences, coal accumulation in landward areas(such as delta plain) of the study area predominantly correlates with the early transgressive systems tract(TST) to middle highstand systems tract(HST), while in seaward areas(such as tidal flat-lagoon) it correlates with the early TST and middle HST. The most potential coal-bearing source rocks formed where the accommodation creation rate(Ra) and the peat-accumulation rate(Rp) could reach a state of balance, which varied among different sedimentary settings. Furthermore, intense tectonic subsidence and frequent alternative marine-continental changes of Yacheng Formation during the middle rift stage were the main reasons why the coal beds shown the characteristics of multi-beds, thin single-bed, and rapidly lateral changes. The proposed sedimentary facies associations may aid in predicting distribution of coal-bearing source rocks. | 11 | Nucleation kinetics of paramagnetic and diamagnetic metal melts under a high magnetic field显示文摘The influence of a high magnetic field(HMF)on the nucleation kinetics of paramagnetic aluminum and diamagnetic zinc melts has been investigated by differential thermal analysis(DTA).It is found that the application of an HMF increases the undercooling of pure aluminum and pure zinc at the same heatingcooling rates.Moreover,the quantitative analysis of activation energy calculated from the DTA results using the Kissinger method manifests that the HMF reduces the activation energy of pure aluminum and pure zinc.Regardless of magnetism,the nucleation frequency under an HMF is higher than that without an HMF.Furthermore,the increase in undercooling under the HMF is mainly attributed to the increase of the contact angle,calculated by the functional relationship between the cooling rate and undercooling.This result is consistent with the increase of the calculated nucleation work for pure aluminum and pure zinc.Additionally,the increase in undercooling caused by the HMF is partly ascribed to the magnetic field-induced suppression of thermal convection in the undercooled melt. | Zhipeng Long Qiuyue Jiang Jiantao Wang Long Hou Xing Yu Yves Fautrelle Zhongming Ren Xi Li | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,14: | 2 |
| 12 | Near-field coupling and SERS effects of palladium nanoparticle dimers显示文摘The linear optical properties and the surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) effect of spherical palladium nanoparticle dimers are analyzed theoretically using generalized Mie theory. The calculation results demonstrate that the near-field coupling effect greatly influences the absorption, scattering and extinction spectra of nanoparticle dimers. The surface plasmon resonance wave- length red-shifts dramatically as the separation between nanoparticles decreases. Because of the near-field coupling between nanoparticles and the size effect, the maximum SERS enhancement factor at the 'hot spot' between palladium nanoparticle dimers is as high as 107-108, while the averaged SERS enhancement factor over the entire nanoparticle surface is in the range of 105-106. The deviation between the position of the peak in the extinction spectrum and the wavelength for maximum surface-averaged enhancement for the Pd nanoparticle dimers indicates that localized surface plasmon resonance has different influences on the far and near fields. | 15 | Wavenumber-4 spectral component extracted from TIMED/SABER observations显示文摘The wavenumber spectral components WN4 at the mesosphere and low thermosphere(MLT)altitudes(70–10 km)and in the latitude range between±45°are obtained from temperature data(T)observed by the Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry(SABER)instruments on board the National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA)’s Thermosphere–Ionosphere–Mesosphere Energetics and Dynamics(TIMED)spacecraft during the 11-year solar period from 2002 to 2012.We analyze in detail these spectral components WNk and obtain the main properties of their vertical profiles and global structures.We report that all of the wavenumber spectral components WNk occur mainly around 100 km altitude,and that the most prominent component is the wavenumber spectral component WN4 structure.Comparing these long duration temperature data with results of previous investigations,we have found that the yearly variation of spectral component WN4 is similar to that of the eastward propagating non-migrating diurnal tide with zonal wavenumber 3(DE3)at the low latitudes,and to that of the semi-diurnal tide with zonal wavenumber 2(SE2)at the mid-latitudes:the amplitudes of the A4 are larger during boreal summer and autumn at the low-latitudes;at the mid-latitudes the amplitudes have a weak peak in March.In addition,the amplitudes of component WN4 undergo a remarkable short period variation:significant day-to-day variation of the spectral amplitudes A4 occurs primarily in July and September at the low-latitudes.In summary,we conclude that the non-migrating tides DE3 and SE2 are likely to be the origins,at the low-latitudes and the mid-latitudes in the MLT region,respectively,of the observed wavenumber spectral component WN4. | Xing Li WeiXing Wan JinBin Cao ZhiPeng Ren | 2020 | Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,5: | 1 |
| 16 | Holey graphene oxide-templated construction of nano nickel-based metal–organic framework for highly efficient asymmetric supercapacitor显示文摘Metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)with redox-active metal sites and controllable crystalline structures make it possible to access the merits of highly-efficient electrode materials in electrochemical energy storage systems.However,most MOFs suffer from low capacitance and poor cycling stability that largely thwart their application.Herein,we present the holey graphene oxide(HGO)template strategy to prepare nano two-dimensional Ni(BDC)with HGO as both template and capping agent(denoted as Ni(BDC)-HGOx,x=10,20,30,and 40 according to the added HGO amount).Structural analyses reveal that HGO can significantly inhibit the Ni(BDC)agglomeration,thus offering a high ion-accessible surface area.Ni(BDC)-HGO30 with well-exposed active sites exhibits a high capacitance of 1,115.6 F·g^(−1) at 1 A·g^(−1) in 6 M KOH aqueous,1.8 times that of bulk Ni(BDC).An asymmetric supercapacitor with Ni(BDC)-HGO30 as a positive electrode and activated carbon as the opposing electrode delivers an energy density of 52.5 W·h·kg^(−1) and a power density up to 18.0 kW·kg−1,with 92.5%capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles.Galvanostatic intermittent titration technique and in situ electrochemical–Raman measurements were exploited to elucidate the electrochemical behavior of Ni(BDC)-HGO30.These results pave the way for the development of rationally tuned MOF materials for enhancing supercapacitor performances. | Hang Wang Pengfei Zhao Xingmao Zhang Su Zhang Xiaolong Lu Zhipeng Qiu Kang Ren Zheng Xu Ruxin Yao Tong Wei Zhuangjun Fan | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,10: | 1 |
