Effect of filter-feeding fish silver carp on phytoplankton species and size distribution in surface water:A field study in water works显示文摘Silver carp were introduced into the pre-sedimentation pond to control excessive phytoplankton in raw water. The effectiveness of the filter-feeding silver carp on phytoplankton control and the effect of silver carp on phytoplankton community were investigated. The results showed that Microcystis could be effectively removed by silver carp stocked in the pre-sedimentation pond, and simultaneously, the concentration of single-cell phytoplankton increased obviously. The difference in phytoplankton species and singlecell phytoplankton size between in the water and in the gut of silver carp indicated that phytoplankton smaller than 5 μm,such as Chamydomonas and Platymonas, were almost not be filtered by silver carp, phytoplankton with the size between 5 and 20 μm could be partly filtered, and large size phytoplankton, mainly colony-forming Microcystis could be filtered almost completely. These filterfeeding characteristics directly caused the phytoplankton size distribution biased toward miniaturization. Therefore, this biological treatment using silver carp could be applied only to deal with groups of Microcystis-dominated eutrophic water, and was not appropriate in water bodies where single-cell micro phytoplankton were dominant.Especially when silver carp are used in water treatment,a cautious attitude should be taken based on the evaluation of phytoplankton biomass and species structure features in raw water. | Hua Ma Fuyi Cui Zhiquan Liu Zhenqiang Fan Wenjie He Peijun Yin | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,2: | 9
Research on robust mean square stability of networked control systems with packet dropout显示文摘This paper is concerned with the robust stabilization problem of networked control systems with stochastic packet dropouts and uncertain parameters. Considering the stochastic packet dropout occuring in two channels between the sensor and the controller, and between the controller and the actuator, networked control systems are modeled as the Markovian jump linear system with four operation modes. Based on this model, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the mean square stability of the deterministic networked control systems and uncertain networked control systems are given by using the theory of the Markovian jump linear system, and corresponding controller design procedures are proposed via the cone complementarity linearization method. Finally, the numerical example and simulations are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results. | Dexiao Xie Xiaodong Han He Huang Zhiquan Wang | 2010 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2010,21,1: | 5
Oxidation of NO over cobalt oxide supported on mesoporous silica显示文摘Cobalt oxide catalysts supported on mesoporous silica(Co3O4 /MPS) were prepared, characterized and applied for catalytic oxidation of NO. Effects of catalyst supports, calcination temperatures,H2O and SO2 on NO conversion were investigated. The samples were also characterized by BET,XRD,FTIR and TG/DTG. The results suggested that Co3O4 /MPS catalyst calcined at 573 K had the smallest crystal particles and the best surface dispersion. This catalyst had the highest activity and yielded 82% NO conversion at 573 K,at a space velocity of 12000 h 1 . Although the conversion of NO decreased with the introduction of H2O,it could be restored completely after removing residual H2O from Co3O4 /MPS catalyst by heating at 573 K. In the presence of SO2,the oxidation activity decreased and CoSO 4 was detected on the catalyst. The NO conversion decreased to 30.2% in the presence of SO2 and H2O. It could not be restored completely after cutting off H2O and SO2 . The deactivation of the catalyst in the presence of SO2 and H2O was attributed to the formation of cobalt sulfate species. | Yan Huang Dongmei Gao Zhiquan Tong Junfeng Zhang He Luo | 2009 | Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2009,18,4: | 5
UV illumination enhanced desorption of oxygen molecules from monolayer MoS2 surface显示文摘The oxygen adsorption can drastically alter the electronic properties of the two-dimensional(2D)materials,which is usually dificult to be removed. In this work,we report the ultraviolet(UV)ilumination induced desorption of the O2 molecules from the monolayer MoS2 surface by using the atmosphere dependent transport measurement,Kelvin probe microscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Obvious increasing of the conductivity, rising of the Fermi level, and red shift of the photoluminescence peaks of the MoS2 were observed after the UV ilumination in vacuum, indicating the elimination of the depletion effect from the oxygen adsorption.Such parameter changes can be reversibly recovered by the subsequent O2 exposure.Furthermore, obvious decreasing of the oxygen concentration after the UV ilumination was also observed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Thus the UV induced O2 photodesorption effect is evidenced. The photo-excited charge transfer mechanism is proposed to account for the photodesorption effect. These results provide a nondestructive way to clean the MoS2 surface and manipulate the performance of the MoS2 based devices. | Yuhang Wang Zhiquan He Jinbing Zhang Hao Liu Xubo Lai Boyang Liu Yibao Chen Fengping Wang Liuwan Zhang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,2: | 3

Real-World Wireless Network Modeling and Optimization:From Model/Data-Driven Perspective显示文摘With the rapid development of the fifth-generation wireless communication systems,a profound revolution in terms of transmission capacity, energy efficiency, reliability, latency, and connectivity is highly expected to support a new batch of industries and applications. To achieve this goal, wireless networks are becoming extremely dynamic, heterogeneous, and complex. The modeling and optimization for the performance of realworld wireless networks are extremely challenging due to the difficulty to predict the network performance as a function of network parameters, and the prohibitively huge number of parameters to optimize. The conventional network modeling and optimization approaches rely on drive test,trial-and-error,and engineering experience, which are labor intensive,error-prone,and far from optimal. On the other hand, while the research community has spent significant efforts in understanding the fundamental limits of radio channels and developing physical layer techniques to operate close to it,very little is known about the performance limits of wireless networks, where millions of radio channels interact with one another in complex manners. This paper reviews the very recent mathematical and learning based techniques for modeling and optimizing the performance of real-world wireless networks in five aspects, including channel modeling, user demand and traffic modeling, throughput modeling and prediction, network parameter optimization, and IRS empowered performance optimization, and also presents the corresponding notable performance gains. | LI Yang ZHANG Shutao REN Xiaohui ZHU Jianhang HUANG Jiajie HE Pengcheng SHEN Kaiming YAO Zhiqiang GONG Jie CHANG Tsunghui SHI Qingjiang LUO Zhiquan | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2022,31,6: | 1
A New Hidden Markov Model for Protein Quality Assessment Using Compatibility Between Protein Sequence and Structure显示文摘Protein structure Quality Assessment(QA) is an essential component in protein structure prediction and analysis. The relationship between protein sequence and structure often serves as a basis for protein structure QA.In this work, we developed a new Hidden Markov Model(HMM) to assess the compatibility of protein sequence and structure for capturing their complex relationship. More specifically, the emission of the HMM consists of protein local structures in angular space, secondary structures, and sequence profiles. This model has two capabilities:(1) encoding local structure of each position by jointly considering sequence and structure information, and(2)assigning a global score to estimate the overall quality of a predicted structure, as well as local scores to assess the quality of specific regions of a structure, which provides useful guidance for targeted structure refinement. We compared the HMM model to state-of-art single structure quality assessment methods OPUSCA, DFIRE, GOAP,and RW in protein structure selection. Computational results showed our new score HMM.Z can achieve better overall selection performance on the benchmark datasets. | Zhiquan He Wenji Ma Jingfen Zhang Dong Xu | 2014 | Tsinghua Science and Technology2014,19,6: | 0
Expression of vasa Gene in Development Process of Germ Cells in Male Rat显示文摘In order to explore the role of vasa gene in the development of germ cells after gonad differentiation in male rats, the expression of vasa mRNA and vasa protein in 17.5-day-old fetal rats and neonatal rats was detected by real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR and immunohistochemistry method. The results showed that the expression of vasa mRNA was detected in the testis tissue of 17.5-day-old fetal rats and neonatal rats, and the expression of vasa mRNA in testis of neonatal rats was high than that in fetal rats. The expression of vasa protein was detected in neonatal rats, but it was not found in fetal rats.In conclusion, vasa gene plays an important role in the development of germ cells. However,as a marker,it can only be used to label all kinds of germ cells after formation of prespermatogonia. | He Zhiquan Gao Yingdong Chen Wei Lu Xiang | 2016 | Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2016,8,3: | 0
Low-rank matrix recovery with total generalized variation for defending adversarial examples显示文摘Low-rank matrix decomposition with first-order total variation(TV)regularization exhibits excellent performance in exploration of image structure.Taking advantage of its excellent performance in image denoising,we apply it to improve the robustness of deep neural networks. However, although TV regularization can improve the robustness of the model,it reduces the accuracy of normal samples due to its over-smoothing.In our work,we develop a new low-rank matrix recovery model, called LRTGV,which incorporates total generalized variation(TGV)regularization into the reweighted low-rank matrix recovery model. In the proposed model,TGV is used to better reconstruct texture information without over-smoothing.The reweighted nuclear norm and Li-norm can enhance the global structure information. Thus, the proposed LRTGV can destroy the structure of adversarial noise while re-enhancing the global structure and local texture of the image. To solve the challenging optimal model issue,we propose an algorithm based on the alternating direction method of multipliers.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has a certain defense capability against black-box attacks, and outperforms state-of-the-art low-rank matrix recovery methods in image restoration. | Wen LI Hengyou WANG Lianzhi HUO Qiang HE Linlin CHEN Zhiquan HE Wing W.Y.Ng | 2024 | Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2024,25,3: | 0
