1Disease profile and plasma neutralizing activity of postvaccination Omicron BA.1 infection in Tianjin,China:a retrospective study显示文摘Dear Editor,SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant BA.1 first emerged on the Chinese mainland on January 8,2022,in Tianjin and caused a large wave of infections.1 Four rounds of mass testing of its~14 million residents were launched on January 9,12,15,and 20,respectively.As of February 7,2022,a total of 430 individuals were tested positive for Omicron BA.1,with no new infections detected for the following 16 days.In the Chinese mainland,the most delivered vaccines are inactivated vaccines.As of January 8,2022,up to 93.2%of Tianjin’s residents had been vaccinated with at least one dose.2 We investigated the protection conferred by vaccination against Omicron BA.1 by examining the breakthrough infections among vaccinees as compared with unvaccinated cases.Our study population comprised all 430 cases during the outbreak of Omicron BA.1 in Tianjin.Hong Zheng Yunlong Cao Xiaosu Chen Fengmei Wang Ye Hu Weiliang Song Yangyang Chai Qingqing Gu Yansong Shi Yingmei Feng Shuxun Liu Yan Xie Xiaoliang Sunney Xie Wentao Jiang Zhongyang Shen 2022Cell Research2022,32,8:12

3LLDPE prepared by in situ polymerization using a dual-functional catalytic system of Ti(On-Bu)_4 /AlEt_3-Et(Ind)_2-ZrCl_2/MAO显示文摘Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) was prepared by in situ polymerization using a dual-functional catalytic system containing Et(Ind)2ZrCl2/MAO and Ti(On-Bu)4 /AlEt3 used as co-polymerization catalyst and dimeriza-tion catalyst, respectively. 4Preparation of long-branched polyethylene by in situ poly-merization using late transition metal and metallocene catalysts显示文摘An in situ polymerization method was investigated to prepare long-branched polyethylene (LBPE) with ethylene alone and a single cocatalyst, methylalumoxane (MAO), by using a dual functional catalytic system containing late transition metal oligomerization catalyst and metal-locene copolymerization catalyst. 5Integrative analysis of prognostic long non-coding RNAs with copy number variation in bladder cancer显示文摘Copy number variations(CNVs), which can affect the role of long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs), are important genetic changes seen in some malignant tumors. We analyzed lncRNAs with CNV to explore the relationship between lncRNAs and prognosis in bladder cancer(BLCA). Messenger RNA(mRNA) expression levels, DNA methylation, and DNA copy number data of 408 BLCA patients were subjected to integrative bioinformatics analysis. Cluster analysis was performed to obtain different subtypes and differently expressed lncRNAs and coding genes. Weighted gene co-expression network analysis(WGCNA) was performed to identify the co-expression gene and lncRNA modules. CNV-associated lncRNA data and their influence on cancer prognosis were assessed with Kaplan-Meier survival curve. Multi-omics integration analysis revealed five prognostic lncRNAs with CNV, namely NR2 F1-AS1, LINC01138, THUMPD3-AS1, LOC101928489, and TMEM147-AS1, and a risk-score signature related to overall survival in BLCA was identified. Moreover, validated results in another independent Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO) dataset, GSE31684, were consistent with these results. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) enrichment analysis revealed that the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) signaling pathway, focal adhesion pathway, and Janus kinase-signal transducers and activators of transcription(JAK-STAT) signaling pathway were enriched in a high-risk score pattern, suggesting that imbalance in these pathways is closely related to tumor development. 71,5-Anhydroglucitol Predicts Mortality in Patients with HBV-Related Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure显示文摘Background and Aims:1,5-Anhydroglucitol(1,5AG)activ-ity has been reported in chronic liver disease.Hepatitis B vi-rus(HBV)-related acute-on-chronic liver failure(HBV-ACLF)patients have a high mortality.We aimed to discover the re-lationship between serum 1,5AG and the prognosis of HBV-ACLF.Methods:Serum 1,5AG levels were determined in 333 patients with HBV-ACLF,300 without diabetes were allo-cated to derivation(n=206)and validation cohorts(n=94),and 33 were recruited to evaluate 1,5AG in those with diabe-tes.Forty patients with chronic hepatitis B,40 with liver cir-rhosis,and 40 healthy people were controls in the validation cohort.Results:In the derivation and validation cohorts,serum 1,5AG levels were significantly lower in nonsurvivors than in survivors.The AUC of 1,5AG for 28-day mortality was 0.811.In patients with diabetes,serum 1,5AG levels were also significantly lower in nonsurvivors than in survi-vors.In multivariate Cox regression analysis,serum 1,5AG levels were independently associated with 28-day mortal-ity.A novel predictive model(ACTIG)based on 1,5AG,age,TB,cholesterol,and INR was derived to predict mortality.In ACTIG,the AUC for 28-day mortality was 0.914,which was superior to some prognostic score models.ACTIG was also comparable to those prognostic score models in pre-dicting 6-month mortality.In mice with D-galactosamine/lipopolysaccharide-induced liver failure,1,5AG levels were significantly reduced in serum and significantly increased in urine and liver tissue.Conclusions:Serum 1,5AG levels are a promising predictor of short-term mortality in HBV-ACLF patients.The 1,5AG distribution changed in mice with D-galactosamine/lipopolysaccharide-induced liver failure.Lingjian Zhang Yalei Zhao Zhongyang Xie Lanlan Xiao Qingqing Hu Qian Li Shima Tang Jie Wang Lanjuan Li 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,4:1

20Experimental study on DX pile performance in frozen soils under lateral loading显示文摘Experiments about working mechanism and mechanical characteristics of the DX model pile foundation under lateral dynamic and static loading were conducted by using a model system of the dynamic frozen soil-pile interaction. The horizontal displacement-force relationship of the pile head and bending moment distribution along the body in frozen soils of different temperatures were discussed. According to test results, both the horizontal displacement-force relationship of the DX pile head and bending moment distribution of the DX pile body are smaller than that of equal-diameter piles under same lateral loads. The piles with different plate positions show different displacements and bending moments. This phenomenon is mainly related to the soil temperature and bearing plates locations.
