1Mapping wetland changes in China between 1978 and 2008显示文摘Four wetland maps for all China have been produced,based on Landsat and CBERS-02B remote sensing data between 1978 and 2008 (1978,1990,2000 and 2008).These maps were mainly developed by manual interpretation and validated by substantial field investigation in 2009.Based on these maps,we analyzed the 2008 wetland distribution in China and discussed wetland changes and their drivers over the past 30 years.(i) There were about 324097 km 2 of wetlands in 2008,for which inland marshes or swamps were the most common wetland type (35%),with lakes (26%) second.Most of the wetlands were in Heilongjiang,Inner Mongolia,Qinghai and Tibet,occupying about 55% of the national wetland area.(ii) From 1978 to 2008,China's wetland area continually and significantly decreased,by about 33% based on changes in the wetland map.This was in sharp contrast to the increase in artificial wetlands,which increased by about 122%.Inland marshes accounted for the main loss of total wetlands from 1978 to 2000.From 2000 through 2008,riverine and lacustrine wetlands constituted the main wetland loss.Fortunately however,the rate of wetland loss decreased from 5523 to 831 km 2 /a.(iii) The change ratio of lost natural wetlands (including inland and coastal wetlands) to non-wetlands has decreased slightly over the past 30 years.From 1978 to 1990,nearly all natural wetlands (98%) lost were transformed into non-wetlands.However,the ratio declined to 86% from 1990 to 2000,and to 77% from 2000 to 2008.(iv) All Chinese provinces were divided into three groups according to patterns of wetland changes,which could relate to the driving forces of such changes.Tibet was completely different from other provinces,as it was one representative example in which there was a net wetland increase,because of global warming and decreased human activity since 1990.Increased economic development caused considerable wetland loss in most eastern provinces,and artificial wetlands increased.NIU ZhenGuo ZHANG HaiYing WANG XianWei YAO WenBo ZHOU DeMin ZHAO KuiYi ZHAO Hui LI NaNa HUANG HuaBing LI CongCong YANG Jun LIU CaiXia LIU Shuang WANG Lin LI Zhan YANG ZhenZhong QIAO Fei ZHENG YaoMin CHEN YanLei SHENG YongWei GAO XiaoHong ZHU WeiHong WANG WenQing WANG Hong WENG YongLing ZHUANG DaFang LIU JiYuan LUO ZhiCai CHENG Xiao GUO ZiQi GONG Peng 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,22:51

4A national report from China Liver Transplant Registry: steroid avoidance after liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Objective:We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of steroid-free immunosuppression after liver transplantation(LT)for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:We retrospectively analyzed HCC recipients without steroids after LT(SF group,n=368)based on the China Liver Transplant Registry(CLTR)database.These recipients were matched 1:2 with patients using steroids(S group,n=736)for the same period after LT for HCC,according to propensity scores.Results:Multivariate analysis indicates that recipients with younger age[odds ratio(OR),1.053;P=0.011],preoperative hepatitis B virus(HBV)DNA≥1,000 copies/mL(OR,2.597;P=0.004)and beyond Milan criteria(OR,4.255;P<0.001)were identified as the risk factors associated with tumor recurrence in steroid avoidance recipients after LT.The patients fulfilling the Milan criteria in the SF group presented higher overall and tumor-free survival rates than those in the S group(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis revealed that recipient beyond Milan criteria was an independent prognostic factor for overall survival(OR,1.690;P<0.001)and tumor-free survival(OR,2.066;P<0.001).The incidences of new-onset diabetes mellitus(21.20% vs.33.29%,P<0.001),new-onset hypertension(10.05%vs.18.61%,P<0.001)and hyperlipidemia(4.08% vs.7.20%,P=0.042)were significantly lower in the SF group.Conclusions:Steroid-free immunosuppression could be safe and feasible for HBV-related HCC patients in LT.Age,HBV DNA level and Milan criteria maybe risk factors associated with tumor recurrence in steroid avoidance recipients.Recipient beyond Milan criteria was an independent prognostic factor and recipient fulfilling Milan criteria can benefit the most from steroid-free immunosuppression.Qiang Wei Feng Gao Runzhou Zhuang Qi Ling Qinghong Ke Jian Wu Tian Shen Mangli Zhang Min Zhang Xiao Xu Shusen Zheng 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,5:25
5Impacts of LUCC processes on potential land productivity in China in the 1990s显示文摘Using meteorological data and RS dynamic land-use observation data set, the po-tential land productivity that is limited by solar radiation and temperature is estimated and the impacts of recent LUCC processes on it are analyzed in this paper. The results show that the influence of LUCC processes on potential land productivity change has extensive and unbal-anced characteristics. It generally reduces the productivity in South China and increases it in North China, and the overall effect is increasing the total productivity by 26.22 million tons. The farmland reclamation and original farmlands losses are the primary causes that led potential land productivity to change. The reclamation mostly distributed in arable-pasture and arable-forest transitional zones and oasises in northwestern China has made total productivity increase by 83.35 million tons, accounting for 3.50% of the overall output. The losses of original farmlands driven by built-up areas invading and occupying arable land are mostly distributed in the regions which have rapid economic development, e.g. Huang-Huai-Hai plain, Yangtze River delta, Zhu-jiang delta, central part of Gansu, southeast coastal region, southeast of Sichuan Basin and Urumqi-Shihezi. 10SHRIMP U-Pb Dating of Zircons of a Dark Eclogite and a Garnet-bearing Gneissic Granitic Rock from Bixiling,Eastern Dabie Area,Anhui Province:Isotope Chronological Evidence of Neoproterozoic UHP Metamorphism显示文摘The paper reports SHRIMP U-Pb zircon data of a dark eclogite and a post-eclogite garnet-bearing gneissic granitic rock from the Bixiling area, Yuexi County, Anhui Province, in the eastern Dabie Mountains. The eclogite, which is metamorphosed basic tuff, contains very scarce zircons in omphacite or garnet, but more zircons in quartz. They usually exhibit a double-layered texture, as shown clearly in cathodoluminescence images. Their inner main parts give a 206Pb/238U age of 757±7 Ma, representing the approximate age of the high-pressure (HP)- ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) metamorphic event during which the eclogite was formed. The outer peripheral parts of the zircons, which have been modified by late-stage fluids, give an age of 223±3 Ma. The granitic rock contains more zircons of anatectic origin found mostly in feldspar and quartz and usually also showing a similar composite texture. 12Liposomes co-loaded with metformin and chlorin e6 modulate tumor hypoxia during enhanced photodynamic therapy显示文摘Though photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been widely used in the non-invasive destruction of solid tumors, the therapeutic efficacy of PDT is often limited by the hypoxic tumor environment. Herein, we report the innovative use of metformin, an oral hypoglycemic agent commonly used in the treatment of type II diabetes, to improve tumor oxygenation, and overcome tumor hypoxia-associated resistance to PDT. In our design, hydrophilic metformin and modified hydrophobic chlorin e6 (HCe6) are co-encapsulated within the inner cavity and outer membrane of liposomes, respectively. Due to the high uptake of liposome nanoparticles by tumors, and the sustained release of metformin, the intravenous administration of metformin (Met)-HCe6-Liposome nanoparticles greatly improves tumor oxygenation in several different tumor models, as revealed by in vivo photoacoustic imaging and ex vivo immunofluorescence staining. Systemic administration of Met-HCe6-Liposomes followed by in vivo PDT achieved significantly improved therapeutic effects compared to that of PDT without metformin. 13Locally advanced undifferentiated carcinoma with osteoclast-like giant cells of the pancreas显示文摘Undifferentiated carcinoma with osteoclast-like giant cells of the pancreas(UCOGCP) is an unusual pancreatic neoplasm that represents < 1% of all pancreatic malignancies. Moreover, the giant cells of UCOGCP morphologically resemble the benign giant cells of bone tumors. Due to the rarity of this tumor type, the histogenesis and biologic behavior of UCOGCP remain controversial. Here, we report a case of UCOGCP that exhibited an invasive growth pattern involving infiltration of the adjacent bowel loop and portal vein,as well as superior mesenteric vein thrombosis. The patient underwent a distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy and partial colectomy, followed by four cycles of gemcitabine chemotherapy. No evidence of recurrence was detected after ten years. 14Long-and short-chain AHLs affect AOA and AOB microbial community composition and ammonia oxidation rate in activated sludge显示文摘Quorum sensing(QS)regulation of the composition of ammonia-oxidising archaea(AOA)and ammonia-oxidising bacteria(AOB)communities and functions in wastewater treatment was investigated.Specifically,we explored the role of N-acyl-L-homoserine lactones(AHLs)in microbial community dynamics in activated sludge.On average,the specific ammoniaoxidising-rate increased from 1.6 to 2.8 mg NH_4^+-N/g MLSS/hr after treatment with long-chain AHLs for 16 days,and the addition of AHLs to sludge resulted in an increased number of AOA/AOB amoA genes.Significant differences were observed in the AOA communities of control and AHL-treated cultures,but not the AOB community.Furthermore,the dominant functional AOA strains of the Crenarchaeota altered their ecological niche in response to AHL addition.These results provide evidence that AHLs play an important role in mediating AOA/AOB microbial community parameters and demonstrate the potential for application of QS to the regulation of nitrogen compound metabolism in wastewater treatment.Jie Gao Yu Duan Ying Liu Xuliang Zhuang Yichen Liu Zhihui Bai Wenlin Ma Guoqiang Zhuang 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,4:11

16Enhancement of acellular cartilage matrix scaffold by Wharton’s jelly mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes to promote osteochondral regeneration显示文摘Articular cartilage defect repair is a problem that has long plagued clinicians.Although mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have the potential to regenerate articular cartilage,they also have many limitations.Recent studies have found that MSC-derived exosomes(MSC-Exos)play an important role in tissue regeneration.The purpose of this study was to verify whether MSC-Exos can enhance the reparative effect of the acellular cartilage extracellular matrix(ACECM)scaffold and to explore the underlying mechanism.The results of in vitro experiments show that human umbilical cord Wharton’s jelly MSC-Exos(hWJMSC-Exos)can promote the migration and proliferation of bone marrow-derived MSCs(BMSCs)and the proliferation of chondrocytes.We also found that hWJMSC-Exos can promote the polarization of macrophages toward the M2 phenotype.The results of a rabbit knee osteochondral defect repair model confirmed that hWJMSC-Exos can enhance the effect of the ACECM scaffold and promote osteochondral regeneration.We demonstrated that hWJMSC-Exos can regulate the microenvironment of the articular cavity using a rat knee joint osteochondral defect model.This effect was mainly manifested in promoting the polarization of macrophages toward the M2 phenotype and inhibiting the inflammatory response,which may be a promoting factor for osteochondral regeneration.In addition,microRNA(miRNA)sequencing confirmed that hWJMSC-Exos contain many miRNAs that can promote the regeneration of hyaline cartilage.We further clarified the role of hWJMSC-Exos in osteochondral regeneration through target gene prediction and pathway enrichment analysis.In summary,this study confirms that hWJMSC-Exos can enhance the effect of the ACECM scaffold and promote osteochondral regeneration.Shuangpeng Jiang Guangzhao Tian Zhen Yang Xiang Gao Fuxin Wang Juntan Li Zhuang Tian Bo Huang Fu Wei Xinyu Sang Liuqi Shao Jian Zhou Zhenyong Wang Shuyun Liu Xiang Sui Quanyi Guo Weimin Guo Xu Li 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,9:11

18Oxygen vacancy enhancing mechanism of nitrogen reduction reaction property in Ru/TiO2显示文摘To search the new effective nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)electrocatalyst is very important for the ammonia-based industry.Herein,we reported the design of a novel NRR electrocatalyst with Ru NPs loaded on oxygen-vacancy TiO2(Ru/TiO2-Vo).Structural characterizations revealed that oxygen vacancy was loaded in the matrix of Ru/TiO2-Vo.Electrocatalytic results indicated that Ru/TiO2-Vo showed good NRR performance(2.11μg h^-1 cm^-2).Contrast tests showed that NRR property of Ru/TiO2-Vo was much better than those of Ru/TiO-12(B)(0.53μg hcm^-2)and Ru/P25(0.42μg h^-1 cm^-2).Furthermore,density functional theory calculation results indicated catalytic mechanism of NRR and rate-determining step(*N2+1/2 H2→*N+*NH)was the potential-determining step with the overpotential requirement of 0.21 V.A combination of electronic structure analysis and catalytic measurement shed light on the synergistic effect of Ru and oxygen vacancy on the NRR performance.Shan Cheng Yi-Jing Gao Yi-Long Yan Xu Gao Shao-Hua Zhang Gui-Lin Zhuang Sheng-Wei Deng Zhong-Zhe Wei Xing Zhong Jian-Guo Wang 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,12:10

20Method for Analyzing Articulated Torques of Heavy-duty Six-legged Robot显示文摘The accuracy of an articulated torque analysis influences the comprehensive performances of heavy-duty multi-legged robots. Currently, the extremal estimation method and some complex methods are employed to calculate the articulated torques, which results in a large safety margin or a large number of calculations. To quickly obtain accurate articulated torques, an analysis method for the articulated torque is presented for an electrically driven heavy-duty six-legged robot. First, the rearmost leg that experiences the maximum normal contact force is confirmed when the robot transits a slope. Based on the ant-type and crab-type tripod gaits, the formulas of classical mechanics and MATLAB software are employed to theoretically analyze the relevant static torques of the joints. With the changes in the joint angles for the abductor joint, hip joint, and knee joint, variable tendency charts and extreme curves are obtained for the static articulated torques. Meanwhile, the maximum static articulated torques and the corresponding poses of the robot are also obtained. According to the poses of the robot under the maximum static articulated torques, ADAMS software is used to carry out a static simulation analysis. Based on the relevant simulation curves of the articulated torques, the maximum static articulated torques are acquired. A comparative analysis of the maximum static articulated torques shows that the theoretical calculation values are higher than the static simulation values, and the maximum error value is approximately 10%.
