Analysis of variation trends and causes of aerosol optical depth in Shaanxi Province using MODIS data显示文摘The temporal and spatial variations and causes of aerosol optical depth(AOD)in Shaanxi Province were investigated based on the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)derived aerosol data for the period of March 2000–February 2012.The results showed that the distribution of aerosol was largely affected by topography and local economic activities.Heavy aerosol loading and increasing tendency in AOD was observed in Guanzhong,Hanzhong and Ankang basin, while a reverse tendency was revealed in most other regions. The spatial distribution of aerosol Angstrom wavelength exponent was predominantly related to vegetation coverage in Shaanxi.Airborne dust from ground is an important source of coarse mode aerosols.Vegetation improvement indicated by an increase in normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)and a reduction in dust weather led to a gradual decrease in coarse mode AOD to the north of Qinling Mountains in Shaanxi, while anthropogenic activities led to an increase in fine mode AOD in other areas except those covered by forests. The main aerosol type gradually shifted to the urban industrial type in Shaanxi. | DONG ZiPeng YU Xing LI XingMin DAI Jin | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,35: | 8
Vertical distribution of aerosol optical properties based on aircraft measurements over the Loess Plateau in China显示文摘Vertical distributions of aerosol optical properties based on aircraft measurements over the Loess Plateau were measured for the first time during a summertime aircraft campaign, 2013 in Shanxi, China. Data from four flights were analyzed. The vertical distributions of aerosol optical properties including aerosol scattering coefficients(σsc), absorption coefficients(σab),Angstr?m exponent(α), single scattering albedo(ω), backscattering ratio(βsc), aerosol mass scattering proficiency(Q sc) and aerosol surface scattering proficiency(Q sc′) were obtained. The mean statistical values of σsc were 77.45 Mm-1(at 450 nm), 50.72 Mm-1(at 550 nm), and32.02 Mm-1(at 700 nm). The mean value of σab was 7.62 Mm-1(at 550 nm). The mean values ofα, βsc and ω were 1.93, 0.15, and 0.91, respectively. Aerosol concentration decreased with altitude. Most effective diameters(ED) of aerosols were less than 0.8 μm. The vertical profiles of σsc,, α, βsc, Q sc and Q sc′ showed that the aerosol scattering properties at lower levels contributed the most to the total aerosol radiative forcing. Both α and βsc had relatively large values, suggesting that most aerosols in the observational region were small particles. The mean values of σsc, α, βsc, Q sc, Q sc′, σab and ω at different height ranges showed that most of the parameters decreased with altitude. The forty-eight hour backward trajectories of air masses during the observation days indicated that the majority of aerosols in the lower level contributed the most to the total aerosol loading, and most of these particles originated from local or regional pollution emissions. | Junxia Li Xingang Liu Liang Yuan Yan Yin Zhanqing Li Peiren Li Gang Ren Lijun Jin Runjun Li Zipeng Dong Yiyu Li Junmei Yang | 2015 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,8: | 6
FGOALS-g3 Model Datasets for CMIP6 Flux-Anomaly-Forced Model Intercomparison Project显示文摘The Flux-Anomaly-Forced Model Intercomparison Project(FAFMIP)is an endorsed Model Intercomparison Project in phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6).The goal of FAFMIP is to investigate the spread in the atmosphere–ocean general circulation model projections of ocean climate change forced by increased CO2,including the uncertainties in the simulations of ocean heat uptake, global mean sea level rise due to ocean thermal expansion and dynamic sea level change due to ocean circulation and density changes. The FAFMIP experiments have already been conducted with the Flexible Global Ocean–Atmosphere–Land System Model, gridpoint version 3.0(FGOALS-g3).The model datasets have been submitted to the Earth System Grid Federation(ESGF)node. Here, the details of the experiments, the output variables and some baseline results are presented.Compared with the preliminary results of other models, the evolutions of global mean variables can be reproduced well by FGOALS-g3.The simulations of spatial patterns are also consistent with those of other models in most regions except the North Atlantic and the Southern Ocean, indicating large uncertainties in the regional sea level projections of these two regions. | Yaqi WANG Zipeng YU Pengfei LIN Hailong LIU Jiangbo JIN Lijuan LI Yanli TANG Li DONG Kangjun CHEN Yiwen LI Qian YANG Mengrong DING Yao MENG Bowen ZHAO Jilin WEI Jinfeng MA and Zhikuo SUN | 2020 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,10: | 1
Modified methods for isolation of pancreatic stellate cells from human and rodent pancreas显示文摘Primary cultures of pancreatic stellate cells(PSCs) remain an important basis for in vitro study. However, effective methods for isolating abundant PSCs are currently lacking. We report on a novel approach to isolating PSCs from normal rat pancreases and human pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC) tissue. After anaesthesia and laparotomy of the rat,a blunt cannula was inserted into the pancreatic duct through the anti-mesentery side of the duodenum, and the pancreas was slowly infused with an enzyme solution until all lobules were fully dispersed. The pancreas was then pre-incubated,finely minced and incubated to procure a cell suspension.PSCs were obtained after the cell suspension was filtered, washed and subject to gradient centrifugation with Nycodenz solution.Fresh human PDAC tissue was finely minced into 1×1×l mm^3 cubes with sharp blades.Tissue blocks were placed at the bottom of a culture plate with fresh plasma(EDTA-anti-coagulated plasma from the same patient, mixed with CaCL) sprinkled around the sample. After culture for 5-10 days under appropriate conditions, activated PSCs were harvested. An intraductal perfusion of an enzyme solution simplified the procedure of isolation of rat PSCs,as compared with the multiple injections technique, and a modified outgrowth method significantly shortened the outgrowth time of the activated cells. Our modification in PSC isolation methods significantly increased the isolation efficiency and shortened the culture period, thus facilitating future PSC-related research. | Liangtao Zhao Baobao Cai Zipeng Lu Lei Tian Song Guo Pengfei Wu Dong Qian Qingcheng Xu Kuirong Jiang Yi Miao | 2016 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2016,30,6: | 1
Observed Changes in Aerosol Physical and Optical Properties before and after Precipitation Events显示文摘Precipitation scavenging of aerosol particles is an important removal process in the atmosphere that can change aerosol physical and optical properties. This paper analyzes the changes in aerosol physical and optical properties before and after four rain events using in situ observations of mass concentration, number concentration, particle size distribution, scattering and absorption coefficients of aerosols in June and July 2013 at the Xianghe comprehensive atmospheric observation station in China. The results show the effect of rain scavenging is related to the rain intensity and duration, the wind speed and direction. During the rain events, the temporal variation of aerosol number concentration was consistent with the variation in mass concentration, but their size-resolved scavenging ratios were different. After the rain events, the increase in aerosol mass concentration began with an increase in particles with diameter <0.8 μm [measured using an aerodynamic particle sizer(APS)], and fine particles with diameter <0.1 μm [measured using a scanning mobility particle sizer(SMPS)]. Rainfall was most efficient at removing particles with diameter ~0.6 μm and greater than 3.5 μm. The changes in peak values of the particle number distribution(measured using the SMPS) before and after the rain events reflect the strong scavenging effect on particles within the 100–120 nm size range. The variation patterns of aerosol scattering and absorption coefficients before and after the rain events were similar, but their scavenging ratios differed, which may have been related to the aerosol particle size distribution and chemical composition. | Xingmin LI Yan DONG Zipeng DONG Chuanli DU Chuang CHEN | 2016 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2016,33,8: | 0
Glutathione S-Transferase(GST)Identified from Giant Kelp Macrocystis pyrifera Increases the Copper Tolerance of Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942显示文摘The glutathione S-transferases gene family plays an important regulatory role in growth and development, and responses to environmental change. In this study, six complete GST genes(Mp GST1,Mp GST2,Mp GST3,MpGST4,Mp GST5,and Mp GST6)were cloned from the gametophytes of brown alga Macrocystis pyrifera.Subsequent bioinformatics analysis showed that these six genes encoded proteins with 202,216,288,201,205,and 201 aa,respectively. Moreover,Mp GST3 differs from the other GST genes.Phylogenetic analysis suggested that MpGST3 belongs to the Ure2p type GST.Domain analysis suggested that the other GSTs from M.pyrifera belong to the soluble GST family and form an independent branch with the GSTs found in the other macroalgae, suggesting that a new GST type was formed during macroalgal evolution.GST genes were upregulated in M.pyrifera when 2.5 mg L^(-1)Cu ions were added to the medium.Six GST genes were integrated into the genome of Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942,and their functions were verified by measuring light absorbance, photosynthetic pigment content, and photosynthetic parameters of the transformed strains under 0.3 mg L^(-1)Cu ion stress. The results showed much higher levels of various parameters in the transformed strains than in the wild strain. The transformed strains(with the MpGST genes)showed significantly enhanced resistance to Cu ion stress, while the wild strain almost died. The results of this study lay a theoretical foundation for further research on the Cu ion stress resistance function of GSTs in M.pyrifera. | GU Zipeng REN Yudong LIANG Chengwei ZHANG Xiaowen GENG Yilin XU Dong YE Naihao | 2023 | Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,3: | 0
