1Phragmites australis and Typha orientalis in removal of pollutant in Taihu Lake, China显示文摘Two plant populations of Phragmites australis and Typha orientalis grown in gravel and sediment substrate were studied to assess their capabilities for purifying polluted water in Taihu Lake, China. The substrate displayed most significant effects on the suspended matter (P < 0.01), with the reduction of 76%-87% and 52%-63% for P. australis, and 83%-86% and 45%-62% for T. orientalis in gravel substrate and sediment substrate, respectively. Both species and substrates significantly decreased the N and P concentrations of water body (P < 0.01). P. australis showed higher total N and P concentrations in tissues than T. orientalis and had a greater potential to remove nutrients from the lake. Phosphate was easily to concentrate in the belowground tissues, while nitrate concentration was higher in leaf and stalk. Therefore, harvesting the aboveground tissues could take most of nitrate out of the sediment. The saturate photosynthetic rate (Asat) of P. australis was higher than that of T. orientalis when grown in sediment substrate. But instance water-use- effciency (WUEi) (A/E) and intrinsic water use effciency (A/gs) showed the maximum values of two species grown in river water. With significant difference in gs, however, intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci) had no obvious difference in two species which indicated that high Asat value of P. australis might result from the increased carboxylation capacity of the mesophyll, because of the central role of N in photosynthetic enzymes. Our findings suggest that the plants could absorb most of nitrogen in polluted water, while gravel displayed a high capacity for absorbing the suspended matters and phosphate salts. 2Detrital zircon U-Pb dating in the southern Hefei Basin: Evidence for exhumation of HP-UHP rocks of the Dabie Orogen显示文摘The Hefei Basin of eastern China developed in response to uplift of the Dabie Orogen,and zircon dating can be used to assess the exhumation history of the orogen.Zircons were collected from samples of the Lower Jurassic Fanghushan Formation and Middle Jurassic Sanjianpu Formation in the southern Hefei Basin,and mica-quartz schist and biotite granite gneiss from the Susong Complex of the Dabie Orogen.The zircon U-Pb dating was undertaken using laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry.The detrital zircons from conglomerates of the Fanghushan Formation and from clasts within the conglomerates have age-frequency distributions with the main clusters between 2.0 and 1.8 Ga,similar to age data of the Susong Complex.On the other hand,the zircons of the Fanghushan Formation do not show the age cluster at 1000–900 Ma that characterizes zircons in the underlying metasediments of the lower Paleozoic Foziling Group.A cluster of Triassic zircon ages also appears in the arkosic sandstones of the Fanghushan Formation.These data indicate that the provenance of the Fanghushan Formation was a mixture of high-pressure(HP)and ultrahigh-pressure(UHP)Triassic metamorphic rocks,Paleozoic magmatic rocks,and the Susong Complex,but not the lower Paleozoic Foziling Group even though it directly underlies the sediments of the Hefei Basin.Two samples from the Sanjianpu Formation show zircon age clusters at 797 and 791 Ma(middle Neoproterozoic)and 226 Ma(Triassic),and again,these are markedly different from the age clusters that characterize the Foziling Group.It seems,therefore,that despite the Foziling Group being at the surface in the underwater depositional area of the Hefei Basin,it was not exposed in the source area of the Hefei basinal sediments during the Jurassic,and there are two possible reasons for this.First,the exhumation of the Dabie Orogen was directed partly towards the north,in the process of which some of the Foziling Group was covered.Second,the Susong Complex rocks became involved in the development of an accretionary wedge,thus covering some of the Foziling Group during the process of subduction.Yongsheng WANG Qiao BAI Ziqiang TIAN Hui DU 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,7:1
3Superior single-mode lasing in a self-assembly CsPbX3 microcavity over an ultrawide pumping wavelength range显示文摘All-inorganic perovskite micro/nanolasers are emerging as a class of miniaturized coherent photonic sources for many potential applications,such as optical communication,computing,and imaging,owing to their ultracompact sizes,highly localized coherent output,and broadband wavelength tunability.However,to achieve singlemode laser emission in the microscale perovskite cavity is still challenging.Herein,we report unprecedented single-mode laser operations at room temperature in self-assembly Cs Pb X3 microcavities over an ultrawide pumping wavelength range of 400–2300 nm,covering one-to five-photon absorption processes.The superior frequency down-and upconversion single-mode lasing manifests high multiphoton absorption efficiency and excellent optical gain from the electron–hole plasma state in the perovskite microcavities.Through direct compositional modulation,the wavelength of a single-mode Cs Pb X3 microlaser can be continuously tuned from blue-violet to green(427–543 nm).The laser emission remains stable and robust after long-term high-intensity excitation for over 12 h(up to 4.3×107 excitation cycles)in the ambient atmosphere.Moreover,the pump-wavelength dependence of the threshold,as well as the detailed lasing dynamics such as the gain-switching and electron–hole plasma mechanisms,are systematically investigated to shed insight into the more fundamental issues of the lasing processes in Cs Pb X3 perovskite microcavities.GUOEN WENG JIYU YAN SHENGJIE CHEN CHUNHU ZHAO HANBING ZHANG JIAO TIAN YUEJUN LIU XIAOBO HU JIAHUA TAO SHAOQIANG CHEN ZIQIANG ZHU HIDEFUMI AKIYAMA JUNHAO CHU 2021Photonics Research2021,9,1:1
4Novel neutrophil extracellular trap-related mechanisms in diabetic wounds inspire a promising treatment strategy with hypoxia-challenged small extracellular vesicles显示文摘Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)have been considered a significant unfavorable factor for wound healing in diabetes,but the mechanisms remain unclear.The therapeutic application of small extracellular vesicles(sEVs)derived from mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)has received considerable attention for their properties.Hypoxic preconditioning is reported to enhance the therapeutic potential of MSC-derived sEVs in regenerative medicine.Therefore,the aim of this study is to illustrate the detailed mechanism of NETs in impairment of diabetic wound healing and develop a promising NET-targeting treatment based on hypoxic pretreated MSC-derived sEVs(Hypo-sEVs).Excessive NETs were found in diabetic wounds and in high glucose(HG)-induced neutrophils.Further research showed that high concentration of NETs impaired the function of fibroblasts through activating endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress.Hypo-sEVs efficiently promoted diabetic wound healing and reduced the excessive NET formation by transferring miR-17-5p.Bioinformatic analysis and RNA interference experiment revealed that miR-17-5p in Hypo-sEVs obstructed the NET formation by targeting TLR4/ROS/MAPK pathway.Additionally,miR-17-5p overexpression decreased NET formation and overcame NET-induced impairment in fibroblasts,similar to the effects of Hypo-sEVs.Overall,we identify a previously unrecognized NET-related mechanism in diabetic wounds and provide a promising NET-targeting strategy for wound treatment.Ziqiang Chu Qilin Huang Kui Ma Xi Liu Wenhua Zhang Shengnan Cui Qian Wei Huanhuan Gao Wenzhi Hu Zihao Wang Sheng Meng Lige Tian Haihong Li Xiaobing Fu Cuiping Zhang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,9:1

6COVID-19 lockdown has indirect,non-equivalent effects on activity patterns of Reeves's Pheasant(Syrmaticus reevesii)and sympatric species显示文摘The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought massive shifts in human activities through a global blockade,directly affecting wildlife survival.However,the indirect impacts of changes in human activities are often easily overlooked.We conducted surveys of Reeves's Pheasant(Syrmaticus reevesii)and its sympatric species by camera traps in forest-type nature reserves in three different scenarios:pre-lockdown,lockdown and postlockdown.An increase in livestock activities observed during the lockdown and post-lockdown period in our study area provided us an opportunity to investigate the indirect impact of the lockdown on wildlife.The prelockdown period was used as a baseline to compare any changes in trends of relative abundance index,activity patterns and temporal spacing of targeted species and livestock.During the lockdown period,the relative abundance index of livestock increased by 50%and there was an increase in daytime activity.Reeves's Pheasant showed avoidance responses to almost all sympatric species and livestock in three different periods,and the livestock avoidance level of Reeves's Pheasant during the lockdown period was significantly and positively correlated with the relative abundance index of livestock.Species-specific changes in activity patterns of study species were observed,with reduced daytime activities of Hog Badger and Raccoon Dog during and after the confinement periods.This study highlights the effect of the COVID-19 lockdown on the responses of wildlife by considering the changes in their temporal and spatial use before,during and after lockdown.The knowledge gained on wildlife during reduced human mobility because of the pandemic aids in understanding the effect of human disturbances and developing future conservation strategies in the shared space,to manage both wildlife and livestock.Junqin Hua Shan Tian Shuai Lu Ziqiang Zhu Xinjie Huang Jisong Tao Jianqiang Li Jiliang Xu 2023Avian Research2023,14,2:1
7All-solid-state thin-film batteries based on lithium phosphorus oxynitrides显示文摘Lithium phosphorus oxygen nitrogen(LiPON)as solid electrolyte discovered by Bates et al in the 1990s is an important part of all-solid-state thin-film battery(ASSTFB)due to its wide electrochemical stability window and negligible low electronic conductivity.However,the ionic conductivity of LiPON about 2×10^(−6) S cm^(−1) at room temperature is much lower than that of other types of solid electrolytes,which seriously limits the application of ASSTFBs.This review summarizes the research and progress in ASSTFBs based on LiPON,in the solid-state electrolyte of LiPON-derivatives with adjustable chemical compositions of the amorphous structure for the improvement of the ionic conductivity and electrochemical stability,in the critical interface issues between LiPON and electrodes,and in preparation methods for LiPON.This review is helpful for people to understand the interface characteristics and various preparation methods of LiPON in ASSTFBs.The key issues to be addressed concern how to develop solid-state electrolyte films with high conductivity and high-quality interface engineering as well as large-scale preparation technology,so as to realize the practical application of highly integrated ASSTFBs.Wangqi Dai Yan Qiao Ziqiang Ma Tian Wang Zhengwen Fu 2022Materials Futures2022,1,3:0
8Anomaly Detection and Pattern Differentiation in Monitoring Data from Power Transformers显示文摘Aiming at the problem of abnormal data generated by a power transformer on-line monitoring system due to the influences of transformer operation state change,external environmental interference,communication interruption,and other factors,a method of anomaly recognition and differentiation for monitoring data was proposed.Firstly,the empirical wavelet transform(EWT)and the autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA)model were used for time series modelling of monitoring data to obtain the residual sequence reflecting the anomaly monitoring data value,and then the isolation forest algorithm was used to identify the abnormal information,and the monitoring sequence was segmented according to the recognition results.Secondly,the segmented sequence was symbolised by the improved multi-dimensional SAX vector representation method,and the assessment of the anomaly pattern was made by calculating the similarity score of the adjacent symbol vectors,and the monitoring sequence correlation was further used to verify the assessment.Finally,the case study result shows that the proposed method can reliably recognise abnormal data and accurately distinguish between invalid and valid anomaly patterns.Jun Zhao Shuguo Gao Yunpeng Liu QuanWang Ziqiang Xu Yuan Tian Lu Sun 2022Energy Engineering2022,119,5:0
9Rice sl-MH-1 mutant induces cell death and confers blast resistance via the synergistic roles of signaling systems显示文摘Serotonin is ubiquitous across all forms of life and functions in responses to biotic and abiotic stresses.In rice,the conversion of tryptamine to serotonin is catalyzed by Sekiguchi lesion(SL).Previous studies have identified an sl mutation(a null mutation of SL)in several rice varieties and confirmed its increase of resistance and cell death.However,a systematic understanding of the reprogrammed cellular processes causing cell death and resistance is lacking.We performed a multi-omics analysis to clarify the fundamental mechanisms at the protein,gene transcript,and metabolite levels.We found that cell death and Magnaporthe oryzae(M.oryzae)infection of the sl-MH-1 mutant activated plant hormone signal transduction involving salicylic acid(SA),jasmonic acid(JA),and abscisic acid(ABA)in multiple regulatory layers.We characterized the dynamic changes of several key hormone levels during disease progression and under the cell death conditions and showed that SA and JA positively regulated rice cell death and disease resistance.SL-overexpressing lines confirmed that the sl-MH-1 mutant positively regulated rice resistance to M.oryzae.Our studies shed light on cell death and facilitate further mechanistic dissection of programmed cell death in rice.Dagang Tian Yan Lin Shengping Li Yiyang Cao Gang Li Xinrui Guo Ziqiang Chen Zaijie Chen Feng Wang Zonghua Wang 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,6:0
10Design and comparative analysis of self-propelling drill bit applied to deep-sea stratum drilling robot显示文摘Robotic subsea stratum drilling robot is a method for new subsea stratigraphic geological investigation and resource exploration.Resistance at the front end is the main source of resistance to the robot’s motion in the strata.Since there is no continuous and strong downward drilling force as in conventional drilling rigs,robot movement relies heavily on the drill bit to reduce the drilling resistance.In this study we propose a self-propelling drill bit that can discharge soil debris to provide propulsive force and reduce the resistance.The key parameter of the drill bit design,the spiral blade lead angle,was determined by theoretical analysis of the drill bit’s soil discharging effect.To verify the structural advantages of the self-propelling drill bit in reducing resistance,a comparative analysis with a conventional conical drill bit was conducted.The drilling process of both bits was simulated using finite element simulation at various rotation speeds,the penetration force and torque data of both drill bits were obtained,and tests prepared accordingly in subsea soil were conducted.The simulations and tests verified that the penetration force of the self-propelling drill bit was lower than that of the conventional conical drill bit.The self-propelling drill bit can reduce the resistance effectively,and may play an important role in the stratum movement of drilling robots.Peihao ZHANG Xingshuang LIN Hao WANG Jiawang CHEN Zhenwei TIAN Zixin WENG Ziqiang REN Peng ZHOU 2023Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2023,24,10:0
1134 GHz Bandpass Filter for Low-temperature Co-fired Ceramic System-in-Package Application显示文摘Modern electronic circuit requires compact,multifunctional technology in communication systems.However,it is very difficult due to the limitations in passive component miniaturization and the complication of fabrication process.The bandpass filter is one of the most important passive components in millimeter(mm)-wave communication system,attracting significant interest in three-dimension(3D) miniaturized design,which is few reported.In this paper,a bandpass filter structure using low-temperature co-fired ceramic(LTCC) technology,which is fully integrated in a system-in package(SIP) communication module,is presented for miniaturized and high reliable mm-wave application.The bandpass filter with 3D end-coupled microstrip resonators is implemented in order to achieve a high performance bandwidth characteristic.Specifically,all of the resonators are embedded into different ceramic layers to decrease the insertion loss and enhance the out-of-band rejection performance by optimizing the coupling coefficient and the coupling strength.A fence structure,which is formed by metal-filled via array with the gap less than quarter wavelength,is placed around the embedded bandpass filter to avoid electromagnetic(EM) interference problem in multilayer structure.This structural model is validated through actual LTCC process.The bandpass filter is successfully manufactured by modifying the co-fireablity characteristics,adjusting the sintering profile,releasing the interfacial stress,and reducing the shrinkage mismatch with different materials.Measured results show good performance and agree well with the high frequency EM full wave simulation.The influence of layer thickness and dielectric constant on the frequency response in fabricated process is analyzed,where thicker ceramic sheets let the filter response shift to higher frequency.Moreover,measured S-parameters denote the center frequency is also strongly influenced by the variation of ceramic material's dielectric constants.By analyzing the relationship between the characteristics of the ceramic tape and the center frequency of the filter,both theoretical and experimental data are accumulated for broadening application filed.With the coupling resonators embedded into the ceramic layers,the bandpass filter exhibits advantages of small size and high reliability compared to conventional planar filter structure,which makes the bandpass filter suitable for SIP communicational application.XU Ziqiang SHI Yu ZENG Zhiyi LIAO Jiaxuan LI Tian 2011Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,2:0
12Comparisons of minimally invasive esophagectomy and open esophagectomy in lymph node metastasis/dissection for thoracic esophageal cancer显示文摘Background:The study aimed to clarify the characteristics of lymph node metastasis(LNM)and to compare the oncologic outcomes of minimally invasive esophagectomy(MIE)with open esophagectomy(OE)in terms of lymph node dissection(LND)in thoracic esophageal cancer patients.Methods:The data from esophageal cancer patients who underwent MIE or OE from January 2016 to January 2019 were retrospectively reviewed.The characteristics of LNM in thoracic esophageal cancer were discussed,and the differences in numbers of LND,LND rate,and LNM rate/degree of upper mediastinum between MIE and OE were compared.Results:For overall characteristics of LNM in 249 included patients,the highest rate of LNM was found in upper mediastinum,while LNM rate in middle and lower mediastinum,and abdomen increased with the tumor site moving down.The patients were divided into MIE(n=204)and OE groups(n=45).In terms of number of LND,there were significant differences in upper mediastinum between MIE and OE groups(8[5,11]vs.5[3,8],P<0.001).The comparative analysis of regional lymph node showed there was no significant difference except the subgroup of upper mediastinal 2L and 4L group(3[1,5]vs.0[0,2],P<0.001 and 0[0,2]vs.0,P=0.012,respectively).Meanwhile,there was no significant difference in terms of LND rate except 2L(89.7%[183/204]vs.71.1%[32/45],P=0.001)and 4L(41.2%[84/204]vs.22.2%[10/45],P=0.018)groups.For LNM rate of T3 stage,there was no significant difference between MIE and OE groups,and the comparative analysis of regional lymph node showed that there was no significant difference except 2L group(11.1%[5/45]vs.38.1%[8/21],P=0.025).The LNM degree of OE group was significantly higher than that of MIE group(27.2%[47/173]vs.7.6%[32/419],P<0.001),and the comparative analysis of regional LNM degree showed that there was no significant difference except 2L(34.7%[17/49]vs.7.7%[13/169],P<0.001)and 4L(23.8%[5/21]vs.3.9%[2/51],P=0.031)subgroups.Conclusion:MIE may have an advantage in LND of upper mediastinum 2L and 4L groups,while it was similar to OE in other stations of LND.Zhenhua Li Chunyue Gai Yuefeng Zhang Shiwang Wen Huilai Lv Yanzhao Xu Chao Huang Bo Zhao Ziqiang Tian 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,20:0
13Systematic analysis of DNA polymerases as therapeutic targets in pan-cancers显示文摘Introduction:DNA polymerases are crucial for maintaining genome stability and influencing tumorigenesis.However,the clinical implications of DNA polymerases in tumorigenesis and their potential as anti-cancer therapy targets are not well understood.Methods:We conducted a systematic analysis using TCGA Pan-Cancer Atlas data and Gene Set Cancer Analysis results to examine the expression profiles of 15 DNA polymerases(POLYs)and their clinical correlations.We also evaluated the prognostic value of POLYs by analyzing their expression levels in relation to overall survival time(OS)using Kaplan-Meier survival curves.Additionally,we investigated the correlations between POLY expression and immune cells,DNA damage repair(DDR)pathways,and ubiquitination.Drug sensitivity analysis was performed to assess the relationship between POLY expression and drug response.Results:Our analysis revealed that 14 out of 15 POLYs exhibited significantly distinct expression patterns between tumor and normal samples across most cancer types,except for DNA nucleotidylexotransferase(DNTT).Specifically,POLD1 and POLE showed elevated expression in almost all cancers,while POLQ exhibited high expression levels in all cancer types.Some POLYs showed heightened expression in specific cancer subtypes,while others exhibited low expression.Kaplan-Meier survival curves demonstrated significant prognostic value of POLYs in multiple cancers,including PAAD,KIRC,and ACC.Cox analysis further validated these findings.Alteration patterns of POLYs varied significantly among different cancer types and were associated with poorer survival outcomes.Significant correlations were observed between the expression of POLY members and immune cells,DDR pathways,and ubiquitination.Drug sensitivity analysis indicated an inverse relationship between POLY expression and drug response.Conclusion:Our comprehensive study highlights the significant role of POLYs in cancer development and identifies them as promising prognostic and immunological biomarkers for various cancer types.Additionally,targeting POLYs therapeutically holds promise for tumor immunotherapy.ZHENHUA LI HUILAI LV FAN ZHANG ZIMING ZHU QIANG GUO MINGBO WANG CHAO HUANG LIJUAN CHEN WENPAN ZHANG YUN LI ZIQIANG TIAN 2024BIOCELL2024,48,1:0
