2Nonlinear dynamic characteristics of magneto-rheological visco-elastomers显示文摘The smart magneto-rheological visco-elastomer (MRVE) has a promising application to vibration control.Its dynamic characteristics are described by complex moduli which are applicable to linear dynamics.However,experimental results show remarkable nonlinear relations between force and deformation for certain large deformations,and the nonlinear dynamic modeling needs to be developed.The present study focuses on the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of MRVE.The MRVE was fabricated and specimens were tested to show nonlinear mechanical properties and dynamic behaviors.The nonlinear effect induced by applied magnetic fields was investigated.A phenomenological model for the dynamic behaviors of MRVE was proposed to describe the nonlinear elasticity,linear damping and hysteretic effect,and the corresponding equivalent linear model in the frequency domain was also given for small deformations.The proposed model is applicable to the dynamics and control analysis of composite structures with MRVE.YING ZuGuang NI YiQing SAJJADI Masoud 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,4:4
3RESPONSE ANALYSIS OF PIEZOELECTRIC SHELLS IN PLANE STRAIN UNDER RANDOM EXCITATIONS显示文摘The random response of a piezoelectric thick shell in plane strain state under boundary random excitations is studied and illustrated with a piezoelectric cylindrical shell. The differential equation for electric potential is integrated radially to obtain the electric potential as a function of displacement. The random stress boundary conditions are converted into homogeneous ones by transformation,which yields the electrical and mechanical coupling differential equation for displacement under random excitations. Then this partial differential equation is converted into ordinary differential equations using the Galerkin method and the Legendre polynomials,which represent a random multi-degree-of-freedom system with asymmetric stiffness matrix due to the electrical and mechanical coupling and the transformed boundary conditions. The frequency-response function matrix and response power spectral density matrix of the system are derived based on the theory of random vibration. The mean-square displacement and electric potential of the piezoelectric shell are finally obtained,and the frequency-response characteristics and the electrical and mechanical coupling properties are explored.Zuguang Ying Xinqun Zhu 2009Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2009,22,2:3

6Stochastic optimal control of partially observable nonlinear quasi-integrable Hamiltonian systems显示文摘The stochastic optimal control of partially observable nonlinear quasi-integrable Hamiltonian systems is investigated. First, the stochastic optimal control problem of a partially observable nonlinear quasi-integrable Hamiltonian system is converted into that of a completely observable linear system based on a theorem due to Charalambous and Elliot. Then, the converted stochastic optimal control problem is solved by applying the stochastic averaging method and the stochastic dynamical programming principle. The response of the controlled quasi Hamiltonian system is predicted by solving the averaged Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov equation and the Riccati equation for the estimated error of system states. 7Dynamics and response reshaping of nonlinear predator-prey system undergoing random abrupt disturbances显示文摘An actual ecological predator-prey system often undergoes random environmental mutations owing to the impact of natural disasters and man-made destruction, which may destroy the balance between the species. In this paper,the stochastic dynamics of the nonlinear predator-prey system considering random environmental mutations is investigated, and a feedback control strategy is proposed to reshape the response of the predator-prey system against random abrupt environmental mutations. A delayed Markov jump system(MJS) is established to model such a predator-prey system. A novel first integral is constructed which leads to better approximation solutions of the ecosystem. 9Engineering of Co_(3O)_(4)@Ni_(2)P heterostructure as trifunctional electrocatalysts for rechargeable zinc-air battery and self-powered overall water splitting显示文摘Rational design of highly efficient,robust and nonprecious electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is highly demanded and challenging.Here,heterostructural Co_(3O)_(4)@Ni_(2)P arrays with numerous reaction sites,unique interfacial electronic structure and fast charge transfer kinetics are developed as electrocatalysts for rechargeable Zn-air batteries and overall water splitting.Both density functional theory calculation and X-ray absorption fine structure analysis manifest that the synergistic structural and abundant electronic modulations interfaces are formed,thus simultaneously promoting the electrocatalytic kinetics,activities and stabilities.Specifically,it can achieve an ultralow overpotential of 270 m V and 28 m V at 10 m A cm^(-2) for OER and HER,respectively.The water electrolyzer delivers a current density of 10 m A cm^(-2) at 1.563 V;furthermore,rechargeable Zn-air batteries triggered by this heterostructure can achieve excellent cyclic stability of 177 h(2 h per cycle)at 10 m A cm^(-2);both devices are superior to the Pt/C+Ir/C.This work not only designs an efficient trifunctional electrocatalyst but also paves an avenue to understand the heterostructure engineering for catalysts development and disclose the underlying relationship of interfacial electronic structures and catalytic properties.Xiaolin Hu Tongxin Yang Zuguang Yang Zongyang Li Ronghua Wang Meng Li Guangsheng Huang Bin Jiang Chaohe Xu Fusheng Pan 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,20:1

14Advances in structural vibration control application of magneto-rheological visco-elastomer显示文摘Magneto-rheological visco-elastomer(MRVE)as a new smart material developed in recent years has several significant advantages over magneto-rheological liquid.The adjustability of structural dynamics to random environmental excitations is required in vibration control.MRVE can supply considerably adjustable damping and stiffness for structures,and the adjustment of dynamic properties is achieved only by applied magnetic fields with changeless structure design.Increasing researches on MRVE dynamic properties,modeling,and vibration control application are presented.Recent advances in MRVE dynamic properties and structural vibration control application including composite structural vibration mitigation under uniform magnetic fields,vibration response characteristics improvement through harmonic parameter distribution,and optimal bounded parametric control design based on the dynamical programming principle are reviewed.Relevant main methods and results introduced are beneficial to understanding and researches on MRVE application and development.Zuguang Ying Yiqing Ni 2017Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2017,7,2:1

17Exact solution of free vibration of adjacent buildings interconnected by visco-elastic dampers显示文摘With consideration of a high-rise coupled building system,a flexible beams-based analytical model is setup to characterize the dynamic behavior of the system.The general motion equation for the two beams interconnected by multiple viscous/visco-elastic dampers is rewritten into a non-dimensional form to identify the minimal set of parameters governing the dynamic characteristics.The corresponding exact solution suitable for arbitrary boundary conditions is presented.Furthermore,the methodology for computing the coefficients of the modal shape function is proposed.As an example,the explicit expression of the modal shape function is derived,provided only one damper is adopted to connect the adjacent buildings.Finally,to validate the proposed methodologies,three case studies are performed,in which the existence of the overdamping and the optimal damping coefficient are revealed.In the case of using one damper in connecting two similar buildings,the estimating equations for the first modal damping ratio are formulated.Yong Chen Zuguang Ying Guohui Shen 2020Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2020,10,2:1
