1Fecal microbiota transplantation prevents hepatic encephalopathy in rats with carbon tetrachloride-induced acute hepatic dysfunction显示文摘AIM To investigate whether fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT) prevents hepatic encephalopathy(HE) in rats with carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-induced acute hepatic dysfunction.METHODS A rat model of HE was established with CCl4. Rat behaviors and spatial learning capability were observed, and hepatic necrosis, intestinal mucosal barrier, serum ammonia levels and intestinal permeability were determined in HE rats receiving FMT treatment. Furthermore, the expression of tight junction proteins(Claudin-1, Claudin-6 and Occludin), Toll-like receptor(TLR) 4/TLR9, interleukin(IL)-1β, IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α was examined.RESULTS FMT improved rat behaviors, HE grade and spatial learning capability. Moreover, FMT prevented hepaticnecrosis and intestinal mucosal barrier damage, leading to hepatic clearance of serum ammonia levels and reduced intestinal permeability. The expression of TLR4 and TLR9, two potent mediators of inflammatory response, was significantly downregulated in the liver of rats treated with FMT. Consistently, circulating proinflammatory factors such as interleukin(IL)-1β, IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α were remarkably decreased, indicating that FMT is able to limit systemic inflammation by decreasing the expression of TLR4 and TLR9. Importantly, HE-induced loss of tight junction proteins(Claudin-1, Claudin-6 and Occludin) was restored in intestinal tissues of rats receiving FMT treatment. CONCLUSION FMT enables protective effects in HE rats, and it improves the cognitive function and reduces the liver function indexes. 2Nonnegative matrix factorization and its applications in pattern recognition显示文摘Matrix factorization is an effective tool for large-scale data processing and analysis. Non- negative matrix factorization (NMF) method, which decomposes the nonnegative matrix into two non- negative factor matrices, provides a new way for ma- trix factorization. NMF is significant in intelligent information processing and pattern recognition. This paper firstly introduces the basic idea of NMF and some new relevant methods. Then we discuss the loss functions and relevant algorithms of NMF in the framework of probabilistic models based on our re- searches, and the relationship between NMF and information processing of perceptual process. 3Relationship between the imaging features and pathologic alteration in hepatoma of rats显示文摘AIM: The imaging features of MRI and DSA, using the modelsof implanted and induced hepatoma, were investigated in rats.METHODS: CBRH3 cancer cells were implanted for differentliver site of rat liver and the diethylnitrosoamine was givenorally to rats in order to induce liver cancer. Both experimentalgroups were detected by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI),digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and morphologic assay.RESULTS: Hypointensity on T1WI and homogenous highsignal intensity on T2WI in MRI, and ring-like abnormal stainon DSA were found in implanted cancer. Induced cancersappeared as homogeneous or heterogeneous hypointensityon T1WI (10 cases), and equal or slight high intensity onT2WI (8 cases), but some as hypointensity on T2WI (2 cases).CONCLUSION: The imaging features of implanted cancerswere similar to that of human liver metastases. Therefore, itcould serve as an experimental model of human liver metastatictumor. The imaging feature of induced cancers, whereas, weresimilar to that of human primary liver cancer. 5A unified algorithm for mobility load balancing in 3GPP LTE multi-cell networks显示文摘3GPP long term evolution (LTE) is a promising candidate for the next-generation wireless network, which is expected to achieve high spectrum efficiency by using advanced physical layer techniques and flat network structures. However, the LTE network still faces the problem of load imbalance as in GSM/WCDMA networks, and this may cause significant deterioration of system performance. To deal with this problem, mobility load balancing (MLB) has been proposed as an important use case in 3GPP self-organizing network (SON), in which the serving cell of a user can be selected to achieve load balancing rather than act as the cell with the maximum received power. Furthermore, the LTE network aims to serve users with different quality-of-service (QoS) requirements, and the network-wide objective function for load balancing is distinct for different kinds of users. Thus, in this paper, a unified algorithm is proposed for MLB in the LTE network. The load balancing problem is first formulated as an optimization problem with the optimizing variables being cell-user connections. Then the complexity and overhead of the optimal solution is analyzed and a practical and distributed algorithm is given. After that, the proposed algorithm is evaluated for users with different kinds of QoS requirements, i.e., guaranteed bit rate (GBR) users with the objective function of load balance index and non-GBR (nGBR) users with the objective function of total utility, respectively. 6The Effects of Tetrandrine (TT) and Polyvinylpyridine-N-Oxide (PVNO) on Gene Expression of Type Ⅰand Type ⅢCollagens during Experimental Silicosis显示文摘In the screening tests of drugs for silicosis in our laboratory, we found that TT, a type of alkaloid isolated from Stephania tetrandra, could inhibit the development of experimental silicosis of rats and the synthesis of collagen in rat lung. Chest X-rays of silicotic patients treaied with TT for 1-3 years showed obvious changes. The silicotic nodules became smallel and shadows became clearer. PVNO was proved to have anti-silicotic effect on animal and clinically. This presentation reports the effect of them on collagen mRNA.Dot blot results showed that 1 (Ⅰ) and 1 (Ⅲ) mRNA levels increased significantly at 60 and 120 days after the rats were exposed to silica dust. The mRNA levels went down at 1 and 3 months after treated by TT and PVNO. In situ hybridization observation revealed that the silver grains of Type Ⅰand Type Ⅲ collagen were scattered within the fibroblasts in cellular nodules and in thickened interstitium of silicosis tissue. The amounts of mRNA silver grains decreased in the lung tissue treated by TT and PVNO. 7Recent Progress and Development in Extrusion of Rare Earth Free Mg Alloys: A Review显示文摘Mg and its alloys are the lightest structural metals available and are extremely attractive for applications as lightweight components, particularly in the automobile, electronic, and aerospace industries. The global market for wrought Mg alloys has steadily expanded over the past decade. And numerous studies have been carried out to meet this increasing demand of high-performance Mg alloys. However, Mg extrusion alloys have had a very limited usage so far. To overcome existing industrial challenges, one desirable approach is the development of low-cost rare earth(RE) free Mg extrusion alloys with superior mechanical properties. This review will introduce the recent research highlights in the extrusion of Mg alloys, specifi cally focusing on low-cost RE-free Mg alloy. The results from both the literature and our previous study are summarized and critically reviewed. Several aspects of RE-free Mg extrusion alloys are described in detail:(1) novel alloying designs including Mg–Al-, Mg–Zn-, Mg–Ca-, Mg–Sn-, and Mg–Bi-based alloys,(2) advanced extrusion techniques, and(3) extrusion-related severe plastic deformation(SPD) processing. Accordingly, considering the large gap in mechanical properties between the current RE-free Mg alloys and high-performance aluminum alloys, new alloy design, processing route control, and recommendations for future research on RE-free Mg extrusion alloys are also proposed. 8QoS and channel state aware load balancing in 3GPP LTE multi-cell networks显示文摘In this paper,we investigate the load balancing problem with the consideration of different qualityof-service(QoS) and channel state in 3GPP long term evolution(LTE) multi-cell networks.Load imbalance among nearby cells often causes inefficient utilization of the system resources.Then in overloaded cells,users cannot get satisfied services for short resources,while in idle cells,there is plenty of unoccupied resources.However,switching users only for load balancing with no consideration of channel state often results in aggressive handover of users,which may occupy too many resources in their target cells and deteriorate the network efficiency.Thus,how to efficiently perform load balancing with the consideration of channel state becomes an important issue.Meanwhile,LTE network aims to serve users with different QoS requirements,which should be taken into account when performing load balancing.Thus we propose a multi-objective optimization problem,whose objectives are load balancing index and network average load for users with QoS requirements and a unified utility function for users without QoS requirements.The constraints are physical resource limits and users' QoS demands.Then we analyze its complexity and propose a practical algorithm,load balancing,with the consideration of different QoS requirements and channel state services(LBQC).Extensive simulations are conducted.The results show that the proposed algorithm can approximate the optimal algorithm efficiently,and leads to significantly better performances than load balancing with no consideration of channel state,e.g.a lower new call blocking rate with a fewer system resources occupation for users with QoS requirements,a higher cell edge throughput and total throughput for users without QoS requirements.LI ZhiHang WANG Hao PAN ZhiWen LIU Nan YOU XiaoHu 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,4:6

13Molecular Characterization of Human Respiratory Adenovirus Infection in Children from November 2016 to October 2017 in Xining City, China显示文摘Human adenoviruses (HAdVs) belong to the genus Mastadenovirus, family Adenoviridae, and can cause respiratory tract and gastrointestinal tract infections, as well as ocular infections in humans[1]. Till date, a total of 84 unique genotypes of AdVs have been identified and classified as human Mastadenovirus species A to G, and specific types are often associated with certain clinical symptoms, epidemiological settings, and demographic risk groups[2]. 15Screening high-quality fetal bovine serum for porcine oocyte maturation in vitro显示文摘Fetal bovine serum(FBS) is widely used in cell cultures due to its high stability and easy access. It was also used as a substitute for porcine follicular fluid(PFF) in previous studies. However, FBS components are unclear, and the presence of FBS in culture media may introduce a variation from batch to batch. This study aimed to establish an effective method to screen FBS in place of PFF in the culture media for porcine oocytes in vitro. We screened FBS from different sources by using porcine fetal fibroblast cells. The effects of six FBS samples on porcine fetal fibroblast cell growth were tested via frozen cell survival assay, cell clone formation assay, cell growth curve, and cell passage activity assay. The best serum that we called GFBS(heat-inactivated FBS, cat. no. 10500-64;Gibco) showed a similar effect on the maturation and development of porcine oocytes to that of PFF and can be used as a good substitute for PFF. 19Mountain permafrost distribution modeling using Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline (MARS) in the Wenquan area over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘In high mountainous areas, the development and distribution of alpine permafrost is greatly affected by macroand micro-topographic factors. The effects of latitude, altitude, slope, and aspect on the distribution of permafrost were studied to understand the distribution patterns of permafrost in Wenquan on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Cluster and correlation analysis were performed based on 30 m Global Digital Elevation Model (GDEM) data and field data obtained using geophysical exploration and borehole drilling methods. A Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline model (MARS) was developed to simulate permafrost spatial distribution over the studied area. A validation was followed by comparing to 201 geophysical exploration sites, as well as by comparing to two other models, i.e., a binary logistic regression model and the Mean Annual Ground Temperature model (MAGT). The MARS model provides a better simulation than the other two models. 20Preparation of multihollow P(St-MAA) particles by sequence soap-free/soap emulsion polymerization and followed by stepwise alkali/acid posttreatment显示文摘The effects of ionic emulsifier, sodium dodecylbenzene sulfate (SDBS), on the formation of the multihollow structures in sub-micron sized polymer particles produced by alkali/acid posttreatment were investigated. The original latex particles with narrow size distribution were synthesized by a new sequence emulsifier-free/emulsifier emulsion copolymerization of styrene (St) and methacrylic acid (MAA).
